"These stinking rich people..."

Jade looks at the note then watches him go, sighing in exhaustion and looking apologetically at the hardworking teacher. She then continued to work diligently throughout class. As class was getting ready to end and break about to begin she began packing up her bag after having finished her assignment in the allowed work time at the end of class. As the bell rang she stood up to go to the library to read.

Some girls stop Jade right in the hallway. "Where do you think your going?" asked one of the girls from Kazuki's fan club.

"You should go back to your poor people's school. Nobody wants you here anyways," stated another girl from the fan club.

Yukino comes up from behind the two girls and looked at her. "Why are you even here at this school?"

Kazuki was at home waiting for the time to pass. He was laying on his bed in his huge mostly empty room. Kazuki listened to music and he thought about Jade.

Jade looked at the girls, not seeming bothered by their obvious attempt at bullying. "I'm here because even if most of the students here are simple-minded rich kids, this is a prestigious high-school, to which I am smart enough to get into without mooching off of my parents. Now if you'll excuse me, I'd like to get to the library." She said and started to walk around them.

Yukino runs in front of Jade. "You can't just walk away. And excuse me? Did you just call me simple minded?" Yukino asked Jade as she looked at her with distaste.

"We are not simple minded!" shouted one of the girls.

Some guy sees the girls trying to surround Jade and decided to go defend her. He was pretty hesitant to go up to them, but he didn't like seeing people get bullied. He kept thinking about the consequences, and he finally decided to go over there and stop it. The boy mustered up some courage and said, "Please, leave her alone."

Jade rolled her eyes. "Only simple minded people take out their frustration on others instead of dealing with them in a healthy way. Your upset because Matsumoto obviously doesn't like you so you're taking it out me because he found something fun in annoying me." She then looked up at the guy who tried to defend her. "Thank you for your concern but I'm fine, we were just finishing." She said, beginning to walk around them again.

Yukino was really mad at Jade. "He does not not like me!" shouted Yukino. "Ugh, just go to your library!" said Yukino as she turned away and walked in the other direction. She motioned for the other girls to follower her.

One of the girls from the fan club stuck their tongue out at Jade and quickly ran over to Yukino. The other girl just followed the president. "Should we tell the vice president?" asked the second girl.

"No, we don't need to tell Meiko," answered Yukino.

The boy felt really embarrassed because of what just happened. He felt like he came over here for nothing. The boy admired the way Jade stood up to the girls and felt like his heart skipped a beat. Akihiro wanted to ask the girl for her name, but she already started walking away.

Some of the other students watched the scene play out and couldn't help but whisper. "Did you see the way the commoner treated Yukino Ayanami?" whispered one the students.

"How did she even get into this school?" whispered another student in the hallway.

Jade looked back at the guy who had been attempting to help her and gave a soft smile. "Thanks for the help. It's nice to know not all rich kids are complete egoists." She then turned and continued on to the library, completely ignoring the talking that went on around her.

Akihiro then looked up at Jade. "Wait! Can I know your name? My name is Akihiro Fujioka," shouted Akihiro. After he realized he shouted he felt embarrassed and looked down to avoid everyone's eyes. Akihiro never really shouted before and it was new to him.

Most of the people in the hallway looked at Akihiro when he shouted and a teacher came over and whacked him on the head with a thin paperback book.

"Please, be quiet. Some people have better things to do," said the teacher as they walked off into a classroom.

"Oww..." Akihiro said quietly.

Kazuki was still in his room and started to get bored. He started to read a book and he would occasionally check his watch for the time.

Jade looked back at him surprised, he didn't seem the shouting type by his demeanor, and by his reaction she could deduct he usually wasn't. She chuckled when the teacher whacked him in the head and she waved him over. "Sure, my name's Jade Keme. If you want to talk you can come with me to the library." She said, waiting for him to catch up.

Akihiro smiled when he heard Jade's answer. He hid his smile and ran over to her but somehow he tripped. He got up as quickly as he could so he could take this opportunity to get to know her. "So what kind of books do you like?"

The people in hallways were quiet when the teacher came by, but now they were gossiping again. "Who is that guy? He's really weird..." whispered one of the girl students. Oh, yeah, did you see the new magazine? Hiro is on the cover again! He's so handsome," said another girl. The second girl shows the first girl a magazine with Akihiro on it.

Akihiro happened to see the magazine and he just ignored it and continued to focus on Jade. Akihiro knew that nobody in this school knew he was model and that he was Hiro.

As the time continued to pass Kazuki stopped reading and decided to go find Jade. It was still too early but he felt like he wanted to see her. He decided to take a shower first since it was raining this morning and he didn't want to smell bad.

Jade looked watched him hurry over and flinched at the sight of his fall, but he seemed unhurt, which was good, and they headed to the library. "Hm... Mostly historical or crime novels, with the occasional historical fiction." She said in response to his question. "I need to return this book on Harriet Tubman." She waved the book and walked up to the counter, returning it then going to the historical section to look for a new book. "What about you?" She asked.

Akihiro felt surprised when Jade asked him what kind of books he likes. "What... Me...? I read a lot of different kind of books, but I guess I would say.... nonfictional because it teaches you a lot of things that some of the teachers don't discuss about. I also like some historical fiction too," Akihiro answered. No one really asked Fujioka anything about him before and his parents don't even bother to ask him about school either.

More time passed and Kazuki finished his shower and he changed his clothes and decided he should head out even if it was still early. He suddenly decided to stay in house for a bit longer thinking about how weird it was for him to wait for her when he never waited for a girl before. Kazuki felt really impatient so he started reading the book again to make the time go faster.

Jade nodded. "That's why I like the historical novels more than the historical fictions." She replied and picked out a book on Sojourner Truth. The bell rang then and she sighed tiredly. "Oh well, I'll see you later." She said as she went to check out the book.

Akihiro felt downcast and he looked back at Jade and waved bye to her. Akihiro then remembered he had to go to his class too and he started to head toward his class. While he was walking back to class he noticed two girls looking at him and he could tell they were gossiping. Akihiro didn't really like any of the girls in this school because most of them are snobs and they blindly worship guys with a lot of money and good looks.

When Kazuki could no longer stay patient he headed to his personal driver and he went to school. He looked through the window and thought about what he wanted to do. Should he go look for her first he thought. Kazuki looked at his watch again for the time and he thought about how rare his watch is. He remembered the clerk mentioning how few of them are around the world.

Jade went to her class and worked quietly on her test, finishing it about half an hour early and went about reading her new book for the remainder of the class time. She wondered about that boy... Fujioka... he was quite different than the rest of the students even though she could tell by his clothes he had a lot of money, and he was quite attractive. Despite that though, the girls seemed to ignore him, or speak bad about him. She wondered why that was.

When Kazuki arrived at the school, he decided to wait outside the school and there was some girls who saw him and some of them crowded around him. Kazuki looked around to see if Keme was nearby. He couldn't find her and looked at his watch again. Class wasn't over yet he thought. Kazuki continued to look anyways to just make sure.

"Matsumoto, who are looking for?" asked one of the girls in the crowd.

Kazuki didn't answer the question and Ayanami saw him. Yukino had some papers in arms that she was suppose to take to the teachers office, but she saw from the window that Matsumoto was around so she immediately rushed outside. Some of the papers fell, but she didn't really care.

Jade read her book for the remainder of class before the bell rang and she stood up, walking out of the classroom and walked towards the entrance, remembering her promise to skip the rest of the school day with that Matsumoto character. She walked outside and saw a group of girls, figuring he must be in the center she waited quietly by the door.

Kazuki caught a glimpse of Keme and he started to push his way through the crowd. Ayanami noticed Jade before Kazuki and didn't want him to go over to her. She grabbed Kazuki's arm to try to stop him. "Prince, where are you going?" asked Yukino.

Kazuki felt someone grab his arm and he noticed it was Yukino. "I'm looking for Keme and please let go of my arm," said Kazuki.

Akihiro was walking to his next class and he heard a lot of noise outside the school. He looked out the window and noticed a crowd of girls. He started to walk away when he noticed Keme outside. Akihiro thought about if he should go to her or not. Akihiro started to wonder why Keme was even out there. Akihiro noticed Matsumoto was the cause of the crowd. "Why is he even at school?" Akihiro muttered. Akihiro didn't like Matsumoto because he was an arrogant guy who did whatever he wanted. He remembered when Matsumoto and him were in the same class at one time and Matsumoto disregarded the teacher.

Jade waited outside the entrance and looked around as she leaned against the door frame, thinking that if he didn't come before the bell rang, she'd just head to her next class. She knew this was probably a set up, something to pass the time, watching some poor person in an awkward situation. But she didn't really care one way or the other, she didn't get embarrassed and if he set her up, she'd just go back to class knowing more about who not to trust. It was simple as that.

Ayanami let go of Kazuki and she pouted. "Why do you want to look for the commoner?" asked Yukino. I'm way prettier than she is," Yukino stated in a very proud manner.

Kazukit thought about Ayanami's question, but he wasn't really sure why. Instead of answering he just avoided the question and walked over to Keme. Kazuki grabbed Keme's wrist and started to run towards his car.

Akihiro saw Matsumoto drag Keme away and he felt mad. Akihiro started to run outside, but he wasn't a very fast runner. Matsumoto was farther ahead.

Jade blinked in surprise as her wrist was suddenly grabbed and she stumbled after Matsumoto. "W-What's the rush?" She asked as she caught her footing and ran with him, looking at him confused.

When Ayanami stopped admiring herself, she noticed the prince ran off already. Yukino noticed that Matsumoto was dragging the commoner with him and she couldn't help but think that should be her. "I should be the one he is taking to his car! Why her!?!" shouted Yukino.

The crowd of girls were starting to disperse but a lot of them looked at Yukino when she shouted.

Yukino blushed when she noticed the crowd staring at her. She then grabbed the papers that fell on the floor and she ran off back into the building. "I'll get you back for this Keme," she muttered to herself.

Matsumoto didn't bother to pay attention to Ayanami's shouting and let go of Keme's wrist when they reached his car. "Sorry, I just didn't want to be surrounded by them. Come on, we can go out and eat. Cause I'm hungry. We can talk on the car. The guy in the front is my personal driver so you don't need to worry about him," said Kazuki. The driver got out of the car and opened the door for Matsumoto and Keme to enter. Kazuki got in first and motioned for her to come in as well.

Jade heard the shout but didn't pay much attention to it as they stopped at the impressive car and she sighed tiredly, knowing this was going to be an exhausting evening. She glanced at the driver and nodded in greeting to him before she sat in the back with Matsumoto, keeping her distance as she sat down and buckled her seat belt. "So where are we going to eat?" She asked, checking her wallet to see if she had any coupons.

Matsumoto noticed Keme checking her wallet. "Don't worry, I'll pay for it. I'm the one who dragged you her anyways," said Kazuki. Kazuki couldn't help but want to look at Keme and he felt like she was special. He never meet someone like her before.

The driver started to drive away from the school.

Akihiro ran up to where Matsumoto's car was parked but the driver already started driving off. He sat down on the ground and felt hopeless. There was no way he could catch up with the car. Akihiro watched as the car drove away and he sighed.

Jade looked at him and sighed, not liking taking handouts but decided it was best not to argue, she looked out the window as they started to drive and noticed Fujioka outside. She blinked in surprise and she told the driver to stop, rolling down the window she asked. "Fujioka? You ok?"
