Glimmer looked Marius in the eye and didn't say anything for a while, trying to see if his eyes would give him away. "It just seems like you have more to you than you are willing to say.....a certain guardedness. Why are you hiding stuff from us? Why are you running?" She asked, leaning foward and setting her forearms on the table, her eyes never leaving Marius'.

Talvin kept his gaze for a minute with Glimmer. He thought about postponing this issue until out of Rivendell at least. If he knew Elronds next move, it'd be to throw him in a jail cell. Although, Toxin needs all the help he can get, and Talvin knows what he thought the quickest way to Erebor. Plus, in the end, this was going to come out sooner or later.

He looked down, almost in defeat and turned to Elrond. "My lord, I need you to bring my weapons please. It's the best way I can explain this. Rest assured I wont harm anyone or anything unless they strike first."

''I doubt that you could. Bring him his weapons.'' guards immediately sent word.

As a guard came up holding an assortment of weapons hidden in cloth a second guard ran to Elrond and whispered in his ear.

Elrond turned to Marius.

''How did you come across a Morgul blade exactly?'' Elrond was clearly speaking to Marius but was walking towards his weapons. He threw the cloth off them, exposing the blade.

Talvin walked towards the table, standing across from Elrond. The weapons laid out before him. He glanced up at Elrond then back at his sword. He reached out his hand and before people could react, the sword itself vibrated and flew into his hand. "Can't do that from afar in case you wondered."

The black steel almost shone like starless midnight from the fires in the hall.

"It's a long story," Talvin started off. "but the short answer is it chose me. Not just because of my will, but my bloodline as well. Its words. Not mine. Naturally I was skeptical at first. A talking sword doesnt pop up in legend. I thought it was controlled from afar or something, but it's a shadow of its previous owner. Or more accurately, my forefather. And I'm going to venture a guess you know who it might be..."

He turned to face the group. "I didnt want to tell you this because I didnt know how you all would take it. I didnt want to accept it either, and I still dont! But I promise you, everything I shared with you from our journey was true." He gulped a tough lump in his throat. "Everything except my name."

He slide the sword into the scabbard and tied it to his belt as he walked towards the fireplace. He turned to the rest of the hall with strong, but sad eyes.

"My true name is Talvin. Known by most as the 'Prince of Wolves', and some in the shadows as the 'Heir of Angmar'."

Toxin didn't much care. This magical stuff was all fine and good, but an arrow to the head seemed to always cure it. he also had a very limited knowledge of history so the revelation was not as odd as it might have been for the others. What he didn't like was that Talvin had lied to them about his name.

''Why the name?'' he asked.

Paton remembered the last time he had seen a sword like that. It was just as potent then as it was now. The Witch King's grandson was a possible threat.

''I care little about his name, Toxin, and more as to what his reason for concealing it was. I recognise who you are, but with that blade and your...abilities, you are far from an easy target.'' Elrond watched the sword. An odd creation. If this fellowship was to succeed they would likely need more special weapons. He motioned a guard towards him and told him to ask the smiths to enhance their creations. He could already foresee what they would choose to apply to each piece.

Talvin turned to Toxin. "A number of higher ups sent my family into exile in Numenor of all places. That's where I found the thing. We tried to lead better lives, but they wanted us dead in the end, and sent people to do it."

He turned, facing the fireplace. "So I responded in kind; when I was strong and skillful enough." He said darkly. "No innocents died under my watch at Minas Tirith. But the guilty did. More than that, you dont want to know. All but a few though survived. And those few send out wanted posters for me. I had my face covered, but most of the thieves and mercenaries they shook for information named me their 'Prince of Wolves.' Hence the nickname. And I doubt you'd want a wanted man in your fellowship. Much less the heir of the Witch King of Angmar. That title I turned down flat."

Hearing Elronds comment, he gestured his head towards him.

"I'll take that as a compliment then."

Toxin was impressed. If Matiu-...Talvin could look after himself there was no reason not to bring him along. The dragon was not going to care much for titles.

''If what you say is true, then come along. It's hard to kill someone whose hidden in the middle of a mountain guarded by elves.''

Elrond was saddened by Toxin's stupidity. Bringing Talvin would likely lead to mercenaries trying to kill them. Still, it was their lives at stake so Elrond didn't much care.

Moon listened quietly, again.

Glimmer's eyes widened. Well that explained everything. She smiled at Toxin, impressed and happy that Talvin didn't intimidate or concern him. "Why would you want to come with us though? I mean, killing the world's most powerful dragon and taking a large hoard of treasure won't exactly be a quiet thing. You could easily be recognized, no matter how hard you try to hide who you are. Doesn't that bother you?" She asked, leaning back and crossing her arms.

Talvin turned around, his eyes meeting Glimmers. "The day I'm known to the world as the heir of Angmar would be inevitable anyway. I'd rather shape myself as a legend born from fire than a whisper from the shadows. I'll be known as one of the dragon slayers. Name one sane man who'd pick a fight with a dragon slayer!"

He walked back to the map on the table. His eyes moving from each of the fellowship. "So to answer your question, I want to come with you because of the gold, glory, and become too big for Gondor to pick a fight with."

It's words like that which can muster an army... Are best left to myself!

God, are meat shield always this wordy?

''Well then, I would be honoured to have you join my company, Talvin.''

Paton smiled. He liked heroic speeches, they usually meant something good was going to happen.

Elrond was unsure of Talvin. On one hand, he seemed like a noble man, but then there was the morgul blade. Either way, he was a welcome piece in a much larger game.

Talvin was taken back at first. He wasnt expecting to be accepted just like that. He felt no deception from Toxin, or some of the others. His smile growing wider, he offered he hand to shake Toxins. "Believe me, the honour is mine."

Toxin leant forward and shook Talvins hand.

''Just in case, anything else you want to tell us?'' he said, jokingly.

"I talk to my sword now and then," Talvin said with a small smile, "but if you hear me talking out loud for no reason, it's just the one voice in my head."

''...ok then.'' Toxin let go to Talvins hand and turned to the others.

''Anyone else want to confess anything?''

Elrond looked at Paton.

Paton shook his head at Elrond and raised a finger to his lips.

Glimmer raised an eyebrow. "I'm not going to confess anything. Like the saying goes, 'girls don't kiss and tell'. Except this is, 'Glimmer isn't gonna tell nothing'. She said with a smug look. She looked at Moon.

Moon looked guilty. "I've been known to steal small amounts of food....." In a quieter voice he added, "and feed it to animals I find." He ended in nearly a whisper.

''...not really appropriate right now, Moon. We have Talvin here shocking us to the bone but I guess we should be on the look out for your insanely caring ways. As for Glimmer, isn't that saying sexual in nature?'' Toxin was in a joking mood. He had an army, companions and a quest worth doing. Finally, his life had purpose.

Elrond smiled at seeing the group talk.

''Now that there are no more secrets, perhaps you should return to the matter at hand.'' he walked back over to the map.

''Talvin, who is this man who would see you under the mountains?''

"Well, not everyone can be awesome and mysterious right?" Moon said, grinning a little. He leaned foward to see the map when Elrond brought it back into the conversation.

Glimmer frowned at Toxin then turned to Talvin. "Yes, your friend under the mountains." She said, glad for the change of subject.

Talvin focused back on the map. "He's a smuggler who used to work for the dwarves of the Iron Hills. Studied under a few masons and tunnel excavators before getting his butt exiled for having an affair with one of the lords daughters. She chose to go with him, and he called me in to secure their safety from anyone wanting vengeance. And they did try, but me and a few of my company was there to stop them. He didnt have any money at the time, but I said since he said something about planning a small smuggling business, I'd have him owe me a favour. A big one at that."

He stood up straight and took another apple from the fruit on the table. "I can trust him to keep his word and his silence. It will be hard to seek him out at the camp, but he and I have a small private song we used to sing through the tunnels. I'll know who's singing it, and so will he."

''Well, if it works it works. I'll leave the decision to the group.'' Toxin went to loom out the window. The day was just getting going. if the smiths were fast, they could be gone by the following day.

''I'll be around. Elrond, is there a place I could practice my archery?''

''Yes. We shall have your bow brought to you in the courtyard.''

Toxin bowed his head and headed to the courtyard.

As Toxin walked away, Talvin began walking back to his room. If they were to stay while the enchantments were being added to the inventory, then Talvin had some time to kill. Elrond said that this place held a great deal of knowledge. Maybe it held something about the Witch-Kings lineage. First he needed to get his clothes off the balcony though. Maybe even have a heart attack on the bed after revealing a dark secret to a dwarf, a magician, a wood elf with a love of life, an elven lord, and his new fellowship leader. All in all, a shocking morning for his life.

Moon asked one of the guards to show him around the grounds, glad that he would have a chance to enjoy nature without having to constantly look over his shoulder.

Glimmer touched her wand, thinking. "Um, is there a place I can be alone for a while?" She asked Elrond.

The guard gave Moon a tour of Rivendell, lingering in the more nature inclusive areas for his benefit.

''I believe that that could be arranged.'' Elrond motioned to one of the guards. When ready, they would take her to a private room with a large balcony.

Paton got up, stretched and headed to the library. He wanted to read up on the history of Erebor and see what, exactly, was going on.

At Elrond's command, an assortment of books were taken to Talvin's room so that he could read up about his lineage and Angmar.

---Time skip to the evening---

Elrond sent word for the company to be gathered. Their weapons and armour had been crafted, plus a few extras. Elrond had foreseen that they might need the extra pieces.

Again, the guards went to each member of the company and told them to collect what they needed as they were to report to the courtyard.

Toxin, who was already there, asked one of the guards to grab him some fruit whilst he waited for the others.

Paton picked up a few books and bundled them together. He headed to the courtyard with them under his arm.

Talvin walked down the stairs. His eyes aglow with determination and a new sense of action. After the reading he had, he was convinced he was the only remaining heir of the Witch King, but along with a few old rights to things. He couldnt put them into action just yet though. However, he had new options before him. It gave him a tightening in his gut to consider, but if a last resort was needed; he had the option.

Now you know you have the right, the will and the strength to rise. Hundreds would call for blood in your name! Yet still you choose to ignore it?

I'm not a monarch yet. Besides, I promised I'd help them. I want this.

Approaching the table, he saw the items laid before him. Some set aside for the others, but two he knew were for him. A gilded grappling hook which looked like it was designed for the heaviest of weights, and an enchanted elven dagger. He didnt know what enchantment was placed, but he'd ask later when he had the time. He turned to Toxin quickly. "Toxin, when we're on our way out on the journey, can we talk in private later? There's something I want to discuss with you. Not another dark secret though. Fresh out of those." He joked at the end.

He just then remembered something. "Just out of interest Lord Elrond, we're there any other magic users here before Glimmer? The guard at the front said there was."

''There was an ...old friend. He came quite quickly from the edges of Mirkwood with a warning. Something about a growing darkness. It is of no importance. He is a fool and simpleton who is far too concerned with his mushrooms to worry about pride.'' Elrond walked over to Talvin and lightly touched the dagger.

''Like all elven weapons she shall glow when orcs are near so be ready. As for the hook.'' He picked it up with one hand and held it to the light ''Not only is it as light as the wind but it is completely invisible to those who would harm you, giving you the element of surprise.''

Paton arrived at the courtyard and saw the armour set.

Elrond, seeing Paton looking at the armour, walked to it and stood behind it.

''For you my friend our smiths made an armor set that will move as hastily as you. It is light, strong and, knowing it was for you, coated in a rare liquid that prevents it from holding water. It will forever be as dry as it is now.''

Moving to the table once more, he lifted a weapon from the table and unsheathed it before hastily placing it back on the table.

''A sword coated in the same liquid, however, any who try to wield this sword without at least one element of the armour on are unable to hold it as it will constantly slip from their grip.''

Paton walked over and lifted the sword. It did not slip from his grip in the slightest. He raised an eyebrow at Elrond, unamused.

''...most wont be able to wield it. You are an anomaly.''

Moon thanked the guard and went back to the main hall. "This is all really impressive." He remarked when he saw the assorted armor, swords and other equipment.

When Glimmer was alone she pulled out her wand and put a silencing spell around the room so no one could hear her but she could hear outside, along with another spell that would vanish any traces of magic. She began practicing some of the simpler spells, enjoying the feeling of the magic. A guard came a while later to tell her that she needed to go to the main hall. She dropped the silencing spell, put her wand back in her pants and went down to the main hall. She walked in just as Elrond was listing the enchantments Talvin's knife had on it. "That's pretty cool." She said, going to the opposite side of the table and admiring the stuff still on the table.
