King of Smols
Feel free to ignore my ramblings---
I'm just reading a bunch of information on Bacterial diseases and Viral Diseases as a basis for trying to understand the Green Carnival disease, or what I have just called it in my head (thanks to Minos's voice), The Auric Plague since the theory is that the disease is spread through an aura around the infected that in turn infects those around them. Faria's theory is that when a healthy aura comes into contact with the sickened aura, the healthy aura becomes infected even if it wasn't direct contact with the body or fluids.
Although I am trying to figure out if it could be classified as a plague @.@ My prime example of a devastating plague has been the Bubonic Plague (The Black Death) since this one has VERY similar symptoms and effects. Except this real life plague was caused by a bacteria that was spread through infected fleas . . .
Also fun fact, they killed a lot of cats since they believed it was cats spreading the disease which is ironic since it was the rats spreading it and cats kill rats so they technically doomed themselves. After their series of killing cats, the plague spread even more now that there weren't as many cats killing the infected rats
Back to my pondering---
Now that I think about it some more, I guess even through viruses were listed to cause a lot more sicknesses like some of the symptoms (typical colds and stuff), so did the Bubonic Plague which was caused by a bacteria.
Bacteria can also strive on its own, unlike a virus that dies off when it's host dies which isn't the case with the Green Carnival Disease since the dead can also be infected so it would be a Viral Disease.
