Realistic or Modern The Viking Age

[QUOTE="The Elusive Shadow]Woman don't have a role didn't you know ? they are literally equivalent to trade-able objects like sheeps , grains , coin ect .....

That's an exaggeration of reality, to tell you the truth. And that's not the bronze age, it's actually quite the other way around, during the bronze age societies such as the Greeks and Romans, who were /extremely/ liberal compared to the dark ages, medieval, and renaissance eras (Par France's matriarchal phase). It wasn't until Christianity really grew when people were starting to treat women as less and less and hard patriarchal idealisms grew in the world. Women had a huge role in Viking societies, too, though many of them /chose/ to be wives.

Didn't know that , huh ... but you did forget about the Germanic and Iberian tribes that still continued such practice , I mean it really depends on the region your talking about , oh and that comment was really just a joke .

Really like the story progression an plot movement going on here! To be honest, when I first joined I felt like I was in season 1 of Vikings. xD
Although you have to admit season 1 of Vikings was pretty bomb ....

Becuz ..... You can make changes in the narrative during the rp , for example - Ragnar doesn't cheat on his wife , floki doesn't kill Athelstan ect ...

Eh. Original plots are more fun if you make an effort for them to be so, in my opinion xD

For the whole upcoming war between Hakon and Agnar, I just want to clarify (on the off chance anyone is confused) that Hakon holds two towns. His home settlement, Bersig (which is where he lives) and Hagevik (Inghard's old home.) There's some distance between the two, obviously enough that ruling over both is a simple enough prospect, but they are linked by river, not by roads.

Just so @northguy @John Raptorfist @DarknessSpirit know where they are lol.

As for the plan for the whole war arc, I was thinking that Aron brings news of the impending assault to Hakon. While he rallies his soldiers, Agnar and the army of Egersund approach Hagevik. The uprising goes as planned and they seize the town, but Hakon still has an army that needs to be defeated in order to secure their victory.

After that, now King Agnar and Earl Inghard march north, and fight the forces of Earl Hakon and Magnus. Thoughts, extra ideas, criticism? @JacobLoL
