The vampires rule

Madiglib

Member
For years vampires have had power over the human race. The humans live in villages and there numbers are controlled. Vampires can go into the villages and feed when they like on who they like. It is not allowed to take a human from the village. However it is still done. The punishment varies depending on the vampire from staking to burning in silver chains to nothing at all. If a vampire chooses they want to have the human as theirs, they are met to give them a locket so other vampires know. Or to mark where they would bite on the neck.

Sebastian was out in London, on holiday and now out looking for food. His neko, Alex, was with him as they both walked through the sleepy town. The moon caught Sebastian's silver-grey hair making it shine. His eyes glowed red as he smelt out his prey. This was not one he had been to before, therefore didn't know the prey. Picking up a scent the vampire's speed kicked in and he ended up stopping out side the window of a young girl, a slight gap in her curtains allowed Sebastian to see her. Dark hair laid over her pale skin and bed, a a slender arm with graceful fingers hung from her bed as she faced away from him. The house door was unlocked and a bell was there to allow the vampires to ring for access, needing permission to enter.

Once the neko had caught up he ran the bell for his master and stepped away to let Sebastian in the door way to wait for a human. He could smell and see the girl was not marked and knew that meant that they could not refuse him entrance. Nor could he even smell family in her home. So it appeared she was alone.

Rowena was having a deep and restful sleep, that is until she heard her bell ring. The quiet chime pierced the silence, making her eyes snap open. At this time of night it could mean only one thing. Vampires. It had been a while since she had been last fed upon. The air in her room seemed to drop a few degrees. She took a deep breath and decided to face her fears. Rowena stumbled hurriedly down the stairs in the dark, worried that the vampire would become impatient and break down the door. She shivered some more as she stepped off the last step. Squeezing her fingers on the ice cold doorknob, she twisted the door open. She reminded herself that she had down this before and she could do it again.

Rowena put on the best smile she could and sweetly spoke,"Why, hello there. How could I help you?"

The vampire waited patiently. Even if he did bash the door in he wouldn't be allowed to enter. He could also hear the human had woken so was on her way. The neko stood beside his master, his tail flicking as he waited, unlike his master Alex didn't like to wait for people. Once the door was opened Sebastian smiled, showing his fangs. It wasn't meant to be aggressive; it was just that it had been awhile since he last fed and he was struggling with blood lust. However he knew it most likely would be taken as aggression as he was a strange vampire to this place. He dropped the smile a bit to hide the teeth and petted the head of his neko, who's tail stoked wagging.

"Hello, I was wondering if I may enter your home and feed. I am afraid I am new to this place so am not familiar with how it is done here." Vampires weren't always the most polite especially beings they saw as lesser than them. Though Sebastian was polite to the people he fed on as they were giving him something. It was just common decency.

The vampire's wide smiled disturbed her slightly, even though she knew he probably didn't mean any harm behind it. She looked to the right of the vampire, noticing that there was a cat like figure beside him. How odd! What else exists in the world? Dragons? Realizing that she was staring and that was considered rude, she dropped her gaze back to the silver haired vampire. The vampire spoke to her about wanting to feed.

She gripped her white, flowing, elegant night gown, and curtsied slightly. She directed him inside,"Come on in. Let's just do it on my couch. I don't really care how or where you bite me, as long as you don't take too much."

Rowena led him to the soft leather couch in the living room next to the kitchen. Her house is practically a mansion, having 4 kitchens and many rooms. She feels blessed to have such wealthy parents. Eventually she would need to find a husband or work to earn enough money to keep living, but she still had plenty of money that her parents gave her. Rowena sat down on the couch with the vampire and the neko. She rotated her muscles around, trying to relax; after all, it would only hurt more if she was tense.

She cleared her throat,"Well, before you feed on me, could I have your names? My name is Rowena, in case you were wondering. Welcome to London and tell me if you want anything else."

Rowena knew she was expected to be polite with vampires, even though there was no written rule about it, politeness was simply expected of human being. She felt a tiny spark of firey anger within her. Vampires just treated them as cattle, didn't they? Why did humans always have to be lesser than them? The vampires seemed to be getting more and more powerful each day. They already decided many things about human life. She clenched a sigh within her throat, praying that the vampire wouldn't notice her destain towards him.

To the curtsy of the young women before him he bowed, bending at the waist, a hand on his back and the other resting on his stomach. He nodded and followed her in.

"Thank-you." He had only ever killed once and that was on his first feed by accident, luckily his mother brought the young girl back as a vampire and they were raised as siblings. The neko followed quietly, his ears moving round listening to the creaking of the house. The vampire had not seen such a house to many humans especially one alone. London was a much richer area than Norfolk as it was a farming area and London was well the centre of everything.

He sat on the couch and the neko and their feet. Her meeped at her as a hello. His throat was horribly damaged from an indecent when he was very young. This was before Sebastian saved him.

"The home you have it is extravagant for only one person." He comment before she spoke. Sebastian took her hand and kissed it. "It is an honour Rowena." He let her hand go gently. "I am Sebastian and this is Alex." He gestured to the man kneeling and starring up at her with big cat eyes.

"Mrrow" He said at her and smiled.

Sebastian could feel the negative emotions from her but all humans had them here it seemed. Even with the lovely lives they lived. The people where he was from got n well with vampires, obviously they weren't friends but the vampires provided for them allowing them comfortable lives and the vampires there like Sebastian had some respect and kindness for humans he fed on.

"Where I feed from my dear is your choice. I wont bit anywhere without your permission."

His soothing tone relaxed her slightly, making her lean back into the soft cushion a little more. Thank god he had some manners, unlike some vampires. The kiss on her hand made her blush a little. Sebastian was a nice name and Rowena thought that Alex was adorable. Although, she was curious to know why he had a sad look in his eyes and a cracked voice. She said,"Well, I guess, the neck would be a fine place." Rowena squeezed her hands into a fist as she waited for his fangs to approach her neck.

The neko watched, leaning against the couch for support. He was sleepy but didn't want Sebastian to leave him so had come along despite his need for sleep. His black ears were floppy, going back down any time he tried to lift them. Despite the tiredness though he was content and purring quietly. Alex's sleepy eyes shone as he blinked trying to stay away. The vampire watched her and nodded softly before leaning in and placing a hand on her shoulder; the cold from it radiating into her skin, even through her night clothes.

Sebastian leaned his face closer into his neck. His fangs gliding gently over the skin before biting down. This tongue ran over the holes lightly, collecting the blood that flowed from them. The taste of her blood was sweet like treacle but with a bitter after taste, something different to him. He had never tasted blood like this before however loved it. Sucking slightly harder to draw more blood from the open wounds he was starting to become full, his eyes closed as he concentrated on the delirious taste of Rowena's blood. The neko who watched was now starting to drift off his eyes half closed as he wobbled a little. Sebastian with effort pulled away from rhe women after licking the wound to heal it as not to mark her. Then licked the blood from his lips and moved away. His hand on her shoulder coming back to his lap.

"I thank-you and hope I didn't hurt you too much."

His fangs sank into her neck, penetrating the flesh. Rowena shut her eyes tightly. The sharpness of his canines dug into her skin, feeling like thorns were burrowed in her neck. Sebastian's freezing cold hands gripped her shoulder. Cold seemed to diffuse from his hands into her soul. Blood dripped down her neck into his mouth. Rowena's neck throbbed in pain caused by his teeth. Finally, the vampire lapped up the last of her blood from the two holes on her neck. He closed the wound by licking it shut. Rowena felt a little dizzy from blood loss. Tiny spots of darkness appeared in her vision. Rowena assumed that this was the effect of not being used to vampire feeding.

She replied to his question,"You're welcome, my dear. I'm fine," she smiled weakly,"Do you want anything else or will you be leaving?"

Rowena felt sleepy and worn out from the experience. She noticed how tired the neko seemed. Alex looked like he was about to pass out and he didn't even have to go through blood loss!

The vampire watched her an realised her weakened state. "I think I should be on my way. However, tomorrow night would you allow me to come again." He looked at the neko realising how tired he was, he needed to make this quick. "Not to feed but just as someone to talk to that knows of this place." He said looking back at her. Alex never got that he couldn't be a wake for ever like Sebastian nor had he gotten the hang of naps; so he would just keep going and going till he almost passed out sometimes.

The man stood up and picked up Alex, cradling him. The neko nuzzled into Sebastian's chest and started to drift off, his ears against his head. Sebastian looked down at Rowena. He thought of another thing that he wanted to get in before her reply.

"Make sure to drink a big glass of water when I am gone and if you want have something with protein in. It will help with side effects."

Rowena didn't know how she felt about the vampire. He did act nice, but he was still a blood sucking beast. She couldn't really say no, could she? What the vampire had just said did surprise her. At first, she stiffened; thinking that he wanted more blood, but he claimed he just wanted to chat. She still felt shy around him, having just meet him, but she could get use to him, if a vampire could actually be pleasant to be around. Never before had a vampire wanted to simply talk before. What a shock. Each day seemed to come with more and more surprises in London. It was also odd that the vampire was leaving already, since they don't need sleep and all, but maybe the neko was exhausted.

Rowena replied faintly, still weak from the blood loss,"Sure, around the same time would be fine, as long as another vampire isn't here. That is very unlikely."

She paused for a second, then she continued,"I'll make sure to do that. Maybe next time, you shouldn't take so much blood and I wouldn't need to take these measures," she took a deep breath to hold back her frustration,"I bid you a farewell Sebastian."

Rowena was drowsy and ready to go to bed. Vampires always messed up a ladies sleeping schedule! She did need to go to a party tomorrow. Maybe she would meet somebody else to be friends with.

He wasn't sure if he was actually making her uncomfortable or it was her view on vampires that was. Either way her body language indicated it was time for him to leave. He frowned at her comment about the amount of blood he had taken. "My apologies it is always hard to gauge how much it to much in a new human and to control ones self when the blood is so different. Until tomorrow my fair lady." Before the words and met her ears it seemed the vampire had gone. vanished back into the night. The door shutting silently behind him.

he started to walk again when in the center of town holdinghis sleeping neko as he looked around. Even at night London seemed lively. Even with the life they lead her with all this freedom and lack of feedings since there were so many humans. How could she have some much distaste for vampires. Nowhere were humans treated this well. Not even where he came from. Yes the humans were provided for but still fed on regularly and treated as slaves working in the fields from darn to dusk.

Sebastian said his goodbyes quickly, then with a gust of wind he was gone. Rowena sat there for a second wondering what he would do next. She knew she had it lucky, compared to the other human being; especially the poor ones, but vampires still irked her greatly. They acted like they were better than everybody else, even the rich folks like her! The thought of that got her blood boiling. She wanted to have nobody above her at all. Alas, that can't be the cause with the vampires around.

Rowena got up slowly from the couch to get a drink of water from the kitchen. Her head still swam slightly. She gripped a glass and filled it up with water to the brim. Tilting her head back, she gulped it down in one sip. Before she went to bed, she also grabbed some pills from the cabinet to help with the blood loss. Rowena walked up the stairs and pulled the covers over her head in the lavish bedroom, slowly falling asleep, looking forward to her party tomorrow.

He took Alex back and put him into the bed of the house he was staying in. Alex curled up on top of the covers. Sebastian covered him with a little blanket and went to take his blazer off. Then got out a bottle of vamperic sun cream. So he could go to the party he had been invited to for tomorrow. He wasn't going to drink the postion till sunrise as it only worked twelve hours. It was the point he had come to London.

He placed it on the side and got a book out to read till it was sunrise. Upon first light he downed the potion after taking a shower. He tied his hair back into a small ponytail. After dressing into a red suit and tie. With a black shirt and shoes. Alex woke and dressed in all black and got his breakfast which was milk and a cookie.

Rowena woke up to the sound of song birds chirping outside her window. A slight smile appeared on her face when she heard that sound. Rowena was shivering with excitement and nervousness about the party that she had today. Stretching slowly, she drew her white lace curtains back from her windows to let in the bright sunlight. Downstairs, she could hear her butlers and maids moving around. Squinting her eyes, she started to remember her dream. Her dream of blood and death. The day where she murdered Thomas. Her smile suddenly dropped from her face. To this day it still haunted her. She winced at the vivid memory. Rowena tried to shake the mournful thoughts out of her mind, as she put on her dark red dress that she specially bought for the party today. Still, her hands shook when she pinned her hair into a nice, neat bun. The shakiness wasn't just from her nightmare. Rowena was also pressured to find a husband soon, or her parents might take away money from her. Lastly, she never feels quite the same the next day after a feeding. She was a princess after all.

After putting on her makeup and such, she strood down the spiraling staircase to have her morning meal. The smell of bacon and eggs wafted into her nose, making it twitch. Breakfast is here! Her workers were still dutifully doing their job. Her stomach rumbled for food. Rowena went into the open breakfast room, next to the second kitchen. The table was already set with plates of food lined up for her. Her butlers and maids bid her a good morning as she sat down to eat. She gave a smile in return. Rowena started to eat her food in a lady like manner, just as she was taught. During the meal she couldn't help but have a pang of loneliness as she was eating by herself, in a large and vast room. Thomas was an ass, but he still was some company. What if she died alone, with only her servants to keep her company? She need to step up her game. She was going to find a good husband god dammit. Even if it killed her. Rowena sat down her cup of coffee with her determantion coming back. Westons never give up!

A few minutes later, Rowena had her favorite high heel shoes on and was ready to go to the party. She called her butler to give her a ride to the party. He rushed to her assistance and got the horse drawn carriage ready for her. Rowena pushed open the doors into the warm and pleasant summer day. The nice weather lifted her spirits a tiny bit. Gripping the ends of her dress; making sure it wouldn't drag on the ground, she got into the spruce carriage. With a crack of the whip, the horses were off. The horses steady beat of clip and clopping made her mind drift to last night. The vampire she met was so odd. The most interesting encounter with a vampire yet. He acted in such a smoot and polite way, not getting offended in the slightest. That reminded her to hold her tongue when with vampires. Most vampires would probably punish her for the slip ups she made last night. Even through all the disgust she had towards vampires, her curious personality was still there. How could they be immortal by drinking blood? Where did they get their powers from? How where they brought into existence? So many questions, only a handful of answers. Rowena was afraid of death, as most people are, but she is unsure is she would want to become immortal. Is being immortal worth becoming a monster? Thirsting for blood constantly? How could they live with themselves? A dark voice in her head whispered, would it matter to you? She had already killed somebody, even without a thirst for blood. Maybe she was already as bad as them. Rowena bit her cheek, causing the taste of irony blood to drip in her mouth. Was she already a monster? What-? The sudden stop of the wagon broke her free of her morbid thoughts.

The butler apologized,"Sorry for the rough stop miss! We've arrived at the place that is hosting the party."

Rowena ducked out of her cozy cabin. She cried out behind her,"It's alright! Pick me up sometime around sunset."

The butler nodded swiftly and started the ride back to her house. She sighed as she looked at the palace looming in front of her. Parties are meant to be fun, not for people to be drepessed! She needed to get out of her head and focus on the present. With renewed confidence, she walked up the cobble pathway to the grand house. A few other people were arriving. Rowena gave a few taps on the door.

A butler swung open the door and answered, "Welcome! What is your name?"

She gave a tight smile and announced,"Rowena Weston."

The butler checked his list, making sure she was invited. When he did, he gave a deep bow to her and stood aside to let her come into the home. Rowena made her way to the ballroom, were several people were already dancing. She took a deep breath and spied some of her friends by the side of the room, chatting amongst themselves. She was going to meet some more people, but for now she was going to relax with her friends.

He went out of the bathroom is his vivid burgundy suit and went to find the neko that was in his kitchen. Alex was not invited but Sebastian was taking him anyway. If they did not like it that was to bad for them. he would take him or leave. Alex was sitting at the table facing away from the door, sipping at his milk. When he was nibbling on the cookie, the vampire went up and stroked his ear gently, much to the neko's surprise. The young man squeaked. Then looked up ad Sebastian wrinkling his nose. Alex kissed his nose and smirked.

"You should know I do that by now." He petted his head and stole some of the milk. "Don't drink to much we will be going to the party soon." He smiled. The just had to wait for the carriage to be ready. Sebastian would be driving it when the horses where attached. The neko took back his milk and chugged it down before more could be stolen. This made him swallow air and he burped laying his ear back and mewed in apology. Alex's little fangs then went back to working at the cookie. Sebastian went and looked out the window checking the potion had taken effect, which it had.

Now that the carriage was read. Sebastian let Alex in the carriage. Alex got in and sat on the bench. He wasn't comfortable doing it liking to be curled up or seeming small. Sebastian shut and locked the door so it didn't fly open. The vampire then got onto the driver seat and clicked moving the rains to make his horses walk and gradually moving into a trot as they got out the driveway of the building. Alex climbed through the rectangular hole behind Sebastian's head. It moving his ears back and pinging them forward as the neko wiggled through. He curled up beside Sebastian resting his head on Sebastian's lap. Sebastian petted him gently and continued to drive.

It did not take long to get there and one they where Sebastian took the carriage round the back. He got down and woke the neko, helping him down too. Then sorted out Alex's clothes that had gotten wrinkled up from laying down the whole ride. Alex went to got and wait round the front of the building while Sebastian sorted out what happened with the cart and horses. Once he had come round the vampire took the neko's tail to make him jump, which worked.

"Come on scared-y cat." He teased and Alex followed sticking his tongue out. In the building the butler took their names and Alex of course not on the list but with Sebastian being a vampire he was allowed to take him in. Unannounced of course. He gave the same tight smile as before as he called out the name he was give.

"Sebastian Nox." He bowed and let the two in. Sebastian went down the stairs with Alex it seemed that most people were talking and walking. The dancing hadn't started yet. People came round with food on platers for people to take. Sebastian politely declining everything. Alex on the other hand had a bigger mouth than it looked. He went to great people, confidence just flowing off him as he gracefully walked across the part hall. Alex on the other hand felt a little uncomfortable and kept close to his master.

Rowena felt a anxiety shot through her, seeing how many people there were. She took a deep breath and talked to her friends about gossip and such matters. All her friends looked gorgeous today. A man came around with a tray and politely offered them a quick bite of some rare treat from India. Rowena gladly accepted and resumed her concersation with her friends, while grazing on the snack gracefully. Out of the corner of her eye, she she saw an odd looking male with silver hair. No bloody way. Could it be? Her face drained of color.

One of her friends noticed her firghtened experisson and chirped,"What wrong Rowena? You look awfully pale. Even paler than usual."

She stuttered,"Uh-h it's nothing guys."

Rowena then gave her confused friends an unconvincing smile. What the hell was he doing here? She though vampires couldn't walk in broad daylight! Now she was never safe from those mosquitos! Jesus Christ! Save me from this nightmare. All she wanted to do was have some fun, enjoy the beautiful ballroom, and maybe have some champagne. Now he's here. At least his cute neko is here too. At least she could talk to him, without watching her neck.

After have a little rant in her mind, her and Sebastian's eyes meet for a split second. Awkwardly she looked away onto the floor. Maybe she could try to talk to him. At least for a little bit. She still was unsure of how she exactly felt about him, so she grabbed a glass of wine from a butler and sucked it down; getting ready for a long party.

He looked over and saw Rowena. His ice blue eyes caught with her until she looked away, but he continued to watch her curiously. After a moment Sebadtian looked away being offered wine. He took two glasses and thanked the waiter. He sipped one and gave the other to Alex. Then instructed the neko to follow as he went to Rowena.

The vampire felt her friends glancing over and many other peoples eyes. He bowed to Rowena and her friends.

"It is a pleasure to see you again and in the day this time for that matter." He took her hand and kissed it. Then of course did the same to her friend's hands. "A pleasure to meet you all. I am Sebastian and this," he motioned to the man they were already petting, "is Alex." He smiled at the women. "Would you mind if I were to take your friend's company for a while? I would be more than happy to trade it for Alex's so that you lovely ladies have some company." He shot them a charming smile as he waited for their reply.

All her friends immediately cooed over the neko as soon as he came over. Leaving Rowena to look awkwardly at Sebastain. Then, he had the nerve to kiss her hand! How incredibly maladroit! She stood there blushing a little, having no idea what to say.

Then he spoke in a graceful manner,"Would you mind if I were to take your friend's company for a while? I would be more than happy to trade it for Alex's so that you lovely ladies have some company."

This made Rowena even more nervous. When she didn't reply right away, her friend gave her a gentle push and giggled,"Come on Rowena, dear. You need to find a man eventually. I'm sure he won't bite."

Oh, the great irony in that statement.

Rowena waved a cute wave to her friend, heading off with Sebastian. Together, they walked to the middle of the ballroom. She knew he couldn't be the man for her. No way. She looked up at him. For a moment, they stared at each to her, both unsure of what to say. Then, Rowena found the courage that dwelled within her to speak.

She babbled nervously,"Well fancy meeting you here. I though vampires couldn't walk in sunlight! Don't tell me; are wizards real too? My day keeps getting better and better. Weren't we supposed to meet late tonight? Couldn't you wait until then? Somebody's impatient. Well, this is quite awkward."

Rowena promptly shut her mouth, embarrassed at her lengthy and rude speech. Crap. You weren't supposed to act like that around a vampire. Especially a high class one. What had gotten in to her lately? Usually she was as mellow as a peaceful ocean current, but around him she had the tendency to go off. She needed to learn how to shut her trap around vampires.

Her face hot with embarrassment, she gave a slight bow and muttered,"Sorry sir."

The neko cooed back and them, and purred his ears going back as the women stroked his head. His eyes closed and he smiled softly. Nudging them with his head as his tail

The irony makes him chuckle as he lead her away from them. He gently let her hand go and returned it to the side. Sebastian listened to her words, which again made him chuckle. It seemed she didn't hold her tongue round vampires, or him at least. It was amusing, no human around London did that; not they knew of his status and race. The people of Norfolk would speak their mind, not as harshly as her but still. It was refreshing to have a human do so. Speak to him with no filtering of their words. He smiled lightly at her apology to him.

"Why are you sorry, you meant the words you spoke." He bowed his head. "I am not any free man or woman speaking their mind, however they choose to word such."

His mind flicked through her questions for the answers before he spoke. He liked to have a loose idea of words he would say before he used them. When he was calm and not angry anyway. "To answer your questions and statements, in order. That would be a 24 hour potion of sun walking. It can only be used once between full moons. Meaning once a lunar cycle, we may if he have the right friends. They would be witches, yes. They are not fond of the term wizard." He gave it a moment for his lightly spoken words to sink in. "I did not know you would be here and was perfectly happy to wait." he smiled charmingly. "Well, if it is awkward for you, would you give me this dance. Then we do not have to talk."

Rowena was relived that he wasn't angry at her. Also, a little surprised at that same time. Why was a vampire treating her so nicely? Vampires aren't supposed to act like that. Her definition of "vampire" was being turned dramatically upside down. The comment about wizard didn't shock her at all. With nekos being real, anything could possibly be real now. Heck, she wouldn't even be baffled if a do do bird popped out in front of her. The request for a dance made her face turn even redder. She couldn't believe this was happening. A dance with a vampire. What a life.

She looked straight into his eyes and nodded,"A dance would be lovely. We are at a party after all."

With that being said, she grabbed his palms and led him into the classic ballroom position. A sweet and smooth violin song came on. Together, they started to dance across the dance floor. Rowena knew how to dance from lessons when she was a youngster, as most wealthy kids do. She let Sebastian lead her. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed her friends giggling in a girly fashion at their dance. Oh boy. Her friends really needed to grow up. Just because you dance with somebody doesn't mean you're going to get married. Right?

He smiled and followed her into the room. Then lead the dance as the sweet sound of violins started. He held her waist lightly and looked down at her, looking over her dress that she had chosen to wear. It was red a different colour to his but they could still be matched. He smiled softly and looked up hearing giggles and smiled more seeing it was her friends. Then looked round as they went to see men watching too.

"Well your friends seem to have drunk a little too much as they have to be giggling in an inappropriate manner for the setting." The vampire said softly so the women would not hear him. He then leaned in and whispered. "You also seem to have turned some heads. Maybe you will find a suitor here today like your friends thought." He looked down at her, teasing slightly in his voice.

When she didn't think the situation could get any more awkward, it did. Now he was teasing her. Rowena was too nervous to speak. What was she even supposed to say? Think Rowena, think. Talking to a vampire can't be that hard. Her friends had to make everything weird and childish, didn't they? They are woman and are supposed to behave themselves. Parties are for civilized people, not people that lose it over the idea of love. She sighed and did a little spin around.

Rowena replied,"Ha! I wish. They like my beauty, but don't like my personality. See the problem there?"

She didn't even know why she was evening trying to talk to him. Vampires never comprehend human emotions anyways. She was probably just bored out of her mind and wanted to have somebody to chat with that wasn't a giggling twat. It wasn't that bad dancing in his arms. He had an smooth way of dancing. Rowena needed to have some fun for once, do something out of her usual boundaries. The violin's rhythm relaxed her muscles and Rowena danced to its tune.

He did not find this awkward not did he pick up on the fact she was. He lighted his arm to let her spin as the vampire watched her skirt lightly fan out before they returned to dancing. The vampire felt her body relax and a small smile came to him. The women as well as Alex seemed to be enjoying each others company. They were feeding him little nibbles of cheese it looked like. He looked back to her.

"No man can help but to admire the beauty. It is what first draws them in." He was not going to lie that was two for both races. The grin grew, showing his fangs coming out a little. Not that he had resisted. It was a reflex of relaxation akin to when a human would relax their muscles. "Personality is what keeps any true gentlemen that would be worthy of marrying."

Rowena knew he had a point. The problem was, most men she meet only seemed to care about beauty and nothing else. One of these days it had to work out somehow. Hopefully sometime soon. As danced, she noticed his smile and how his teeth showed. That reminded Rowena that she was with a vampire, not another human male. A tiny voice in her head spoke,"Does it really matter?" She felt dizzy, confused, and overall unsure what was happening to her. She was acting crazy! Of course it mattered; they are two different races.

Her nausea continued and she asked,"Is it alright if we stop dancing for a bit and have a few drinks by the side of the room? I'm not feeling good."

He let her go and nodded.

"Of course. A drink would be a good idea." He took her hand and lightly walked her over to the edge and summoned over a man with the drinks. He took two and handed her one. "Is this what you were thinking for a drink or woulkd water be better if you are feeling ill?" He asked not really sure which would be best.
