The vampires rule

Glad that he listened, Rowena followed him to the edge of the room. She felt better once she wasn't dancing. Thank god! For a second there, she about to throw up. That would be the worst possible outcome. Ever. The vampire handed her a drink filled with more champagne.

She daintily took a sip from the glass and spoke back to him,"I'll finish this off, but I would like some more water too." She paused for a second as he acknowledged her request. "If you don't mind me asking, how did you become a vampire? I'm sort of curious how it all happened. Or were you born a vampire? Sorry if this is all too personal."

(Sorry for the delay)

He nodded and called a ported to bring them two glasses of water. That made sense humans loved the liquid and it seemed to be like a medicine to them for small ailments. As the ported left he looked back at her surprised by the question. Before he answered thought he took her hand and lead her to some free chairs and gently sat her down before doing so next to her himself.

"Not to personal and unexpected question however." He smiled. "I was born as a vampire. However my other siblings were turned." A human had never asked before and even if they had he didn't know how comfortable he would have been to reply. But this human, this women was easy to; easier to talk to them than most others of her species and others for that matter. "What made you curious as to how I became what I am?" He asked her in return after his answer wondering what would make her think that or at least ask it of them.

(It's alright, I saw your signature. Welcome back from vacation! ^_^ )

His answer honestly surprised her. She assumed that he had been turned from a human into a vampire. She shifted in the chair timidly. The chairs were soft, but stiff enough to support her back. Rowena was mainly curious about vampires, how they came to be and what it was like for them. This curiosity was brought up by the fact that this vampire was acting so differently. From her experiences, she saw vampires as vicious monsters, but this one not as much. An inner voice called within her. Rowena! Don't be so draft! He's charming you to suck your blood out! She tried to not let her nervousness show as she struggled to speak.

Rowena, with a shaky hand, took another sip of water. The water refreshed her dry throat enough so she speak like a normal human being. She said, "Well, I, never really got to talked to a vampire before. I'm a curious person and I wonder many things. That's all honestly."

She gave Sebsatian another glance and tried to give him a bright smile. Her parents would be so disappointed in her. She wasn't acting like a proper lady at all. Bashfully, she looked around the ballroom at elegant dancing couples.

Thank-you ^-^))

He watched her and nodded. That was a reasonable answer most of the vampires in this place didn't seem the type for talking to humans. He looked to the dancers as she did. He had not yet seen the person who was many to be hosting the part or smelt their presence in the building. Sebastian had not once thought of drinking her blood or anyone at this party since he got here. Born vampires, like himself, along with their rarity also had more control of the blood lust within. A trait he thanked the stars he ha. Loosing it to blood lust once was to much for him let alone having it a strong ruling point to his life. He would have been happy to answer any questions she had. Maybe tonight when he came to see her he could answer them or at least some for her.

He felt her body temperature dropping; then raising again. The movement of her shaking even though slight to a human to his eyes was blindingly obvious. He frowned looking to her again and watching her body for the symptoms she seemed to have The vampire was not familiar ith illness as a feeling but knew well of what it looked and sounded like to him.

"Maybe we should get you out of the party. It maybe a bit much for you." He said concerned for her as he could hear the sound of her breaths becoming what was hyperventilation

She felt embarassed to be in such a situation. What lady needed to be taken out of a party. Oh well. She glanced over at her friends, curious of what they were doing. Rowena wasn't surprised to see them flirting with Alex, along with dancing smoothly across the room.

Rowena looked up at his face and sighed, "Yeah, I always feel trapped and anxious when around lots or strangers. Sort of silly really. But I'm working on conquering that fear. Lead on. We could go and do something. Visit a park, perhaps?"

She wrapped her arm around his, in a classic dance escort pose. Rowena didn't think that he was going to do anything, being the middle of the day and all, but she still felt wary of his intentions.

He could sense her embarrassment but did not understand it. He waited for a reply and his eyes drifted to her she was looking. He smirked at the girls trying to flirt with the mute neko who was purring and doing so back. He caught the neko's eye and motioned for the creature to come over. His ears went back a little but he went to leave the girls and come to his master and the woman with him. He looked back to her as he felt her gaze and nodded standing up.

Hearing her request the man looked to the clock before nodded. "We can do that, I will have enough resisrance to the sun." He said more to himself as reasurance than to let her know. The neko came over and nuzzled the vampire's cest before standing the other side of him. He meeped at Rowena. " Sebastian felt her arm and started to lead the two out, keeping his gaze ahead. He really had no evil plans for her. He just seemed to like her company and Alex seemed to like it too. Once outside he looked around, blinking at the heavy light, it burning his retunas. After a few blinks the world become dark with bright colours poping out at him as his veiw of the world went ultraviolet to protect his eyes. "I I appoligise but you may have to lead us. I do not know my way around at such time." It was true he knew london by the view of infa-red. He smiled down at her ans walked when she had started too. With her leading the way instead the neko moved round to be beside her so he could see where they were going better.

The light dazzled Rowena for a second. Such a beautiful day to go out for a walk. She did know a park close by, the one where most fair ladies took a walk and gathered. That seemed perfect. With him willing to be led, she took off towards the park, since it was close enough to walk to. It felt good to be the leader for once. Men always wanted to take control.

For a few minutes they walked away from the mansion, towards the city center and the park that was close by. Rowena unwrapped her arm from his, and calmly let it drop back to her side. The park was pleasant and the wind softly blew against her dress. Other people were wandering the park's grounds and having a relaxed time. The vampires that strode around seemed to be in a good mood too.

She chattered, feeling a lot less nervous, "It feels better to get away from all those people! Nice to be out in the open. How are you feeling?"

He puffed at the vampires walking around and shook his head. He knew what they were thinking, unfortunately. He looked to her. "I am sure it is. I was not the one that was ill. How are you feeling?" He asked her back, his hand also going back to his side. lex went after a butterfly that had hit his ear on its flight. The vampire raised an eyesbrow at the neko and shook his head. Such a strange being but cute.

The vampire now free walked at a relaxed pace wwith her beside him. The thing was that she was someone other than Alex that he felt quiet free around, especially to any other human. Even back home. That was right home. He would be back there in two nights. He frowned at the thought but shook it off as he watched the lady for a reply. He heard giggling on a bench and saw a couple of ladies on older and one younger. The older had a ring, married or engaged maybe. There seemed to be giggling about the two of them as there seemed to be no other couples in the park. Not that they were one but it could look like such.

"I'm feeling a lot better, but I still feel jittery. Being out in nature for me, is always more appealing than being in a stuffy room. The great outdoors is so spectacular and awe-inspiring."

The neko reminded her of a playful kitten, innocent and sweet. Unlike most vampires. When a long grab happened, the butterfly got the message and flew away from the neko, into the great blue sky. Nature has such great beauty to it, unmatched by anything that mankind could ever create. She sighed dreamily. What was to become of her life? Would she become like a butterfly and fly into the great beyond? Or would she become captured by something evil, swallowing her whole before she had a chance to take flight? Only time would tell. She believed in infinite possibles, that anything could happen. Another charm of life.

She and Sebastian wandered the park together. Couples going for a walk were peppy and bubbly. Today, there were only a few couples wandering about. She wondered if it looked like she was paired with Sebastian. If they really were curious, they would see that she isn't marked with a locket, thus showing she isn't a couple with him. She continued to walk in thoughtful silence.

He looked round and nodded though what he was seeing right now was an ultraviolet wild it was still beautiful if a bit vivid. Sebastian knew exactlly what she meant just that his awe-inspiring world was a night skied one. Though he would love to be able to see the sun lit world. It was something he always felt he was missing out on.

The neko waved his fist at the list what butterfly as it whipped off into the sky. Though another got his attention. He huffed and thought better of it. It looked like one of the ones that bit as it had the little long body and was yellow and black. He didn't like those ones. Alex started to go back to Rowena and Sebastian but saw an empty bench and zipped off to lay on it and save it for them if they wished to sit there when they got to it.

The people did not know he was a vampire which made the signal of a locket was mute. As he could easily seem an eccentric human. Maybe one that worked for a vampire with the wealth in his clothes. He stayed quet enjoying the small sounds that were not precent in the night. One humans could and could not here. The world was never quiet for him not even if the humans thought the world appeared to be. He saw the neko save the bench and looked to his walking companian. "Would you like to stop at the bench?" Sebastian asked pointing to the neko on his back and his tail waing around.

Rowena yawned, having been woken up late last night. The neko stopped at the bench and wagged his tail in the cutest way possible. She couldn't resist saying no to sitting, even though it was nice weather for a walk. Rowena gave a smile nod. She walked over to the wooden bench with Sebastian. Stretching her back out, she slumped slightly in the bench before resuming to sit properly, with a straight back. Rowena still had a no idea what she was doing, walking with a vampire in the middle of the day. She wished herself to shut up about it. Nothing she could really do now.

As she sat on the bench, she wondered what she should say to him. So far, he was always pretty open to whatever she had to say. He seemed like a nice guy. The neko didn't speak that much at all, but he seemed to have good intentions, not to mention he is absolutely adorable. She clasped her hands together and decided to rest them on her dress. What a pain. The dresses she always wore were heavy a hell. The price of beauty and vanity. Any respectable lady should wear a heavy dress of high quality.

Turning her attention away from the dress, she brought it back to the vampire, "Are your eyes okay? I know you can walk fine in the sunlight with potion, but do your eyes hurt at all? I don't want to be causing you pain just because I want to go for this walk."

People passed by, some looking at them with slight interest, along with curiosity at what a neko was doing at the park. Rowena felt awkward whenever somebody shot a glance their way, especially if it was a man. Still, a lot less crowded than the party.

Sebastian knew the weight of the dresses and how hot they could get which even though it was nice weather for it and he was enjoying it he offered for them to sit. He had his mother and a sister that would talk about it and not understand why the females would choose to wear such, even if it was fashion they had reverted too, since it could be chosen from any time period before the vampires rule. Which was fashion up to the first world war. His youngest sister always favoured her ear of clothing and still to this day wore the fashion from the era. Though it seemed the humans liked the ideals and such of the time and with needing to work their way back to what the world had been it seemed the place the race fell to.

As he sat on the bench the vampire thought about his family and vampires rule of humans. The dress making such a link in his mind. During the first world war was when he got his youngest female clan member. Like him even though she was a Knox they were a bit estranged to the rest of the clan. After the great war, which it was called now seemed to have broken the humans too far giving, his kind, vampires their chance to rule, which they did of course. However the with all the war course the human with the vampires in charged seemed to fall back into time. To round when the vampire, himself was born, Victorian times. Erin, the youngest female was from the war era and wore clothes from it still preferring it to a worlds clothes she did not know. Before she was changed her and Sebastian were dating which carried on awhile after such as well. As vampires would date even if childe of the same vampire as it did not truly make them related unless they were when humans.

The neko moved as they sat and leaned on the vampire beside him and mewed at them both. This did not seem to disturb the vampire. Alex did not mind and closed his eyes enjoying the heat and the two's company. He purred softly though in the quiet park it was able to be heard easily. He ignored the people looking it was normal for him being a neko. He looked to Rowena as she spoke as did Sebastian being snapped out of his thoughts. He shook his head. "No, my eyes are fine. Thank-you for the concern though." He replied. "I have different views I can see the world with that do not us all the light of the sun or no sun light at all." He explained before looking out and watching the humans walk by and watched them. To some he would bare his fangs at to when he started to get bored of them watching, which made them move on quickly. The looked back to her again. "Can I ask why you go with such fashion?" He asked actually curious. "It seems to be popular with higher classes but there are lesser fashions too that you could try. They would be less heavy to wear at all times even if you used it as house ware." Since she seemed to be asking questions he thought it should be okay if her did and the thoughts he had only a moment ago made his curious of her choices behind such a dress.

(Sorry for the late reply, been really busy. End of summer and all.)

Rowena was happy to know that Sebastian wasn't in pain. Unnecessary pain was always bad. She hated to see people suffer, which was one of the reasons she hated vampires so greatly. They loved to control everything; people's pain, emotions, blood, and daily life. It especially hurts the lower class. The lower class couldn't ward off the vampires with money, unlike the rich, who had plenty of money to spare. Also, the vampires tended to pick on the people of the lower class. They seemed like an easier victim to prey on, with less importance to their lives. How horrible. Weighing the value on people's lives seems one of he most terrible and inhuman things you can do. People shouldn't be judged like that. That's for sure. Wealth shouldn't have that big of effect on people. Sadly, it did.

Releasing the last of her nervous energy, Rowena brushed her hands on her dress. She agreed with Sebastian,"Yeah, I know I can wear a different style of clothing, but my parents expect to be in this kind of dress, and I enjoy wearing these types of dresses too. They're always elegant, don't you think? Besides, I wasn't exactly planning on going for a walk in the park today."

She blushed, feeling warm inside and glad that he seemed to want to talk to her. Their words seemed to flow back and forth in a flow, even though she tends to be stoic and stiff. Birds tweeted in the treetops, happy at the sunny day. The neko gazed curiously at the birds. This day seemed to be yelling at her to cheer up. She smiled at Sebastian and got up from the bench.

Rowena spoke, "Do you want to walk some more? I love to stroll around this park. Too nice of a day to spend it sitting down."

(I understand and sorry for the late reply as well.)

The poor and rich had nothing to do with vampires. Nor did they care either way. Though the poor where easier targets and why not there blood usually was sweeter too from the fruit and vegetables they ate. Sebastian found those of higher classes often had bitter blood from so much meat and their lesser health. If the humans really cared they would equal out the difference but they didn't as most rich were so because of the greed and selfishness. They did not want to share money and with the wealth they didn't have to share their blood either. It can be put on the vampires of course as they did choose the lesser most had reasons other than money. Though a lot of it was on the humans as they could easily fix the imbalance.

He smiled and nodded. "Elegant but deadly my sister would say." He chuckled lightly. He nodded and got up, his body language still relaxed from inside, though his fangs were only just coming out again. He did not realise they had gone back into his gums. Not that he minded. It was as relaxing talking with her as it was Erin. If she ever turned up or Rowena came down to Norfolk he would have to introduce them. He would love to see i the differences made them like or dislike each other. Not that his sister was one to not like others especially females. The vampire rose to his feet and gently lay the sleeping Alex down.

"It would be a pleasure." He said, his arm raising for her to hold. "I believe Alex would be best left here though. he needs a nap."
