A disgruntled Markus sits with his partner Metagross in his Cleveland law office looking at his phone waiting for it to ring. He begins to think mostly to himself about his last call. Those thoughts mainly on how his last client gave up on him. It was an angry phone call. That is when his phone rang.

"You have reached the law offices of Markus Smirnoff, the psychic connoisseur of the northern US, how can I help you today?"
"We are The Cleveland Starshine Talent Agency and we got a potential client for you!"
"Oh, a new client, who is it?"
He tried to hide it but he was completely excited to have a new client. And he was thinking it was going to be someone new, especially from the CSSTA.
"Her name is Macie Lightfoot, and we want you to cover her affairs."
"I'll take it can I get a number to call?"
// Sorry that's all I can come up with right now, I am not quite into the swing of long winded responses quite yet
Maya was a little annoyed as she found herself walking down the streets of Cleveland. She was just starting out on her Pokémon journey, just got her pokedex from the professor and had been on a bus back to New York in order to really start her quest closer to home. But the darn bus broke down and they had no idea when they'd get the thing fixed. In fact they had sent word to their company to have a new bus come out to them to pick them up.
Ofcourse, they offered those who decided to find a new way to their destinations a refund and that's what Maya decided to do. She heard the wait would take forever and she just wanted to get started on her goal. So for now she was heading to find a hotel she could stay at for the night. She pulled out her map and double checked her destination before glancing up. There should be a good spot around here somewhere.
Soon enough she found a good enough hotel as she went up to the clerk and got a room. She thanked the individual before making her way to her room when she does, she passes by the café in the place and her tummy gave a low growl. She could use a quick bite. So she went up and ordered some food and headed to find a seat. As she did she happened to notice a mysterious girl sitting in there. She didn't get the best look at her as she half wondered if she'd want some company. Then again perhaps she shouldn't bother her. Nonetheless she walked past her table. Joanna Matilda Barlow
Maya glanced her way when Macie began to speak as she had thought she was talking to her. But when she noticed she felt a bit silly for thinking that. Yet, she couldn't help but think she looked a bit familiar. When she saw the Machoke come out Maya stopped completely as she fumbled into her pocket and pulled out her pokedex pointing at it to register that she had seen it. It read off it's usual speal and Maya frowned ever so slightly as she still hadn'it found a mute button.
Jenny eventually found Macie and approached her, sitting down at her table with Lily right behind her "what are you doing all by yourself Macie?" She asked curiously

Macie: I was just trying to have time alone and maybe hear my own thoughts. *Sighs* But... with the quiet... My thoughts are only just crowding upon one another and blending all into one and i can't sort them out. I have so much to do before the concert date deadline. Catering... Which my Adviser is supposedly gonna handle. I got to get out Press releases and an official Video message. There's the seamstress. Then there's stage rehearsals and drills. Practice. There's the Promotional pictures and Press packages. *Groans* Sweet mother of nightmare... So much to do...
Gene: Sounds like a lot. But with time... it'll all smooth out.
Macie was trying to keep a calm tone to her voice, but as she went on going over the details and all that needed to be done still... she started feeling as if her heart was gonna overwork itself and push her into a possible stroke.

Maya continued to eat her food as she couldn't help but over hear Macie's problems. She didn't realize she was a performer... though, wait she did see a flier about some upcoming event. But, Maya kept to herself as she closed her pokedex. She didn't think she'd be of any help to her anyways... and it seemed she had people to help her out anyways. Joanna Matilda Barlow
Maya had been periodically glancing over at Macie and the others, she didn't mean to ease drop but she found it interesting. She finished her food and glanced over again, only to notice Macie was looking right at her.
"I uh...sorry," Maya replied quickly looking away. She even blushed slightly from embarrassment. Joanna Matilda Barlow
The Machoke seemed to come over to where Maya was sitting and gestured for Maya to come with it. Maya wasn't sure what they wanted but well, she should of eased dropped.
"uh... ok," Maya said as she followed the machoke over. She seemed a bit nervous, feeling embarrassed that she was spotted listening to their conversation. Joanna Matilda Barlow
Macie smiled at the girl and couldn't figure to place her... She was curious as to who she was. Macie looked at the time as she saw that the outside was getting brighter and lighter. She started to feel a little hungry although she didn't want just up and leave. She stayed for a little while as she couldn't do anything till after another 3 hours have passed anyway.
Macie: *Looking at the girl* Hey there. I noticed that you were looking at me. I couldn't help but to find out. I'm sure that I've seen you before... But then... seeing so many people whether it be fans... or trainers... Allies or ones who are all in helping my career and all. I can't tell. But I just wanted to meet someone who... well wasn't trying to just go excited just by the idea of my fame... that is growing rather too fast. *Smiles* I'm Macie. Macie M. Lightfoot. "The Rising Star." However... it's just a title. Not entirely all that i am.
Macie was being rather very cordial. She didn't know what to expect from the girl. She sensed a tone of loneliness and longing for a friend or two. However, Macie wanted to just meet her. See what the girl was like. She was unknowing to believe that the girl could have heard about her... She was mentioned enough clearly... so it'd be odd for one to not know who she was by that time...

Maya listened to her as she wondered who she was. Well she heard them say her name a time or two but she hadn't really heard of her... then again as she thought about it, she may have seen a flyer or too.
"Uh... I'm Maya Jensen," Maya finally replied, "And you may have heard of me... my parents have made a few headlines, especially in Albany, New York."

(I am such a fool. I failed to inform you... That... it was early early morning when all this was going on.)
Macie recognized the name... but to her... it was likely common and she didn't figure that it would be the same as someone before. However... How many people with the name Maya did she really know. She never met one like her. Not that she could recall.

Macie: Hmm... Well... That is rather rich. I read something on the newspaper on the phone that made some mention of your family... or you. I never really suspected that fate would just bring you... here. But... *Giggles* You shouldn't worry about it though. But i do like what i read about you. helping the sick pokemon from your hometown. having a hand in research that could better relations between pokemon and trainers. It must make you... A Connoisseur. I wouldn't mind meeting one like that. They think everything is like a recipe. But maybe it's their way of seeing things.
Macie was finding a rush of friendliness in the girl who intro'd herself as Maya. The name sounded familiar but to Macie... it was possibly an Asian name as she'd recognize such a name given that she is half Japanese. Half Caucasian and no matter how much she was transformed... that still stay as a hardwired part of her. DNA never would change... even if every other thing had. DNA wouldn't.

(Ok, I edited my post. had her stay the night and then head down for breakfast.)
Maya rubbed the back of her head, "Well, I wouldn't really call myself a connoisseur," Maya said as she wondered just how much those articles embellished, "I just help where I'm needed."
