Israaa Hey! I'm interested in the rp, definitely, although I'm currently out of town until next Saturday and I don't know if I can get a nice cs up until after. (A crude one—in my stands, at least—perhaps...) I do have character in mind, though!

Hey everybody! Just wondering, would anyone like to sort out some sibling relationships here in the OOC thread, since we have a few people now and that's still up in the air? Like, who were friends back in the old days, who were enemies? I'd be open for a few with my character, Lena. She'd be friends with at least somebody, but certainly not everybody...

Radio_Rat66.6 Ha, yes, they could bond over their mutual love of cats, I see! But yeah, I could go for that. Both more calm, thoughtful kind of people, I think. If Ji-min has more of a sense of humor, I could see Lena being one that would find him (or her, at the time) interesting to be around. Basically, I see Lena as one who will be highly amused at a joke but will never admit to being so. So yeah, if you want to play with a relationship like that, I'd be down

Israaa Hey, question: so, just to clarify, you said that the kids are all 20 right now? And Ben's death was seven years ago, making them 13 when that happened in this version? I'm just kind of wondering, in that case, when they all actually left. Was your intention that everyone left soon after Ben's death, placing them as on their own as teenagers? Or did it still happen later on, when they were 16 or 17-ish? I just kind of wanted to make sure we were on the same page with the backstories and all.

Question! Do ya'll want to, maybe, start this thing anyways? ( tortellini Radio_Rat66.6 fin Queen_Liyah Kitsune2202 TheBlackLion ) It's just, I'd really hate for it to just die after we already made our characters and everything, and I would also really love to see this concept play out. So, what do you think? I don't know is Israaa had a particular plot in mind, but we could always make something up ourselves, if you want to...

Alright then! So perhaps...we could just try to decide on a plot? Like, we have the first part of the premise in place: Reginald dies, and all the kids come home for the funeral. But what then? It's different, because we have no time traveler jumping back here to tell us that the apocalypse is coming. But then again, is there still an apocalypse? Well, y'all can add on, but I figured I might as well brainstorm, so...

1) Reginald kills himself because apocalypse is coming; one of our characters is the person who causes it (could be inadvertently, or could be not)

2) Apocalypse happens because of some outside force or villain that is out to get you

3) There is no apocalypse; Reggie died naturally; and the whole plot is just the kids trying to get along again

4) Same as 3, except something else non-apocalypse does happen. Say, a villain from your past shows up again, and you have to band together to stop them. Or there could be some danger that happens somewhere that has nothing to do with the academy, but you decide to be heroes again and stop it anyhow.

5) One of the kids actually did kill Reginald on purpose, and someone finds out. Infighting ensues.

6) There is some time-traveling person that shows up as an NPC, might have been your sibling, and they tell you things. Maybe the Temps Commission shows up to mess up everyone's lives again

7) Reginald's not dead. He faked it to get you together again and now he's launching a whole fake conflict plot to stir your inner hero into life again.

8) Reginald's an alien and his planet is coming down to earth to attack it. Or to get to know you and have some tea. One of those.

9) Some combination of the above!

So, yeah...any thoughts?

I like them all! Maybe we can start with one that goes into the others, like maybe the one where Reginald faked his death and created a false conflict, but things go wrong in the process that creates a real issue with a past villain that leads to the possible apocalypse. And of course all the while they are trying to reconnect again.

I do like the idea of him faking his death—just like the control freak he is. Perhaps he thinks that there is some apocalyptic thing afoot (but it's really all in his head or something) and then maybe their squabbling causes external forces to act on them, whether some villain-ish dude who thinks they can take advantage of the situation, or even a governmental force who thinks that these freaks need to be swept under the rug.

I was also thinking it would be interesting to use a Leonard-type character to go in and divide the siblings for their own agenda, whether it's solely revenge or they want to eliminate possible threats. They could be a sibling, another superhuman, or even someone random like Leonard. It would be interesting if during the rp the siblings literally start to get divided and separated out, with maybe the antagonist taking them to some out of the way place so we have one half of the rp focused on people trying to figure out what's going on and escape and the other half trying to figure out what's going on and get the siblings back—if they even care to, depending on how well they get along. I don't know, it needs to be fleshed out, but it would make for interesting gameplay. And all of this could happen with Reginald dying naturally, faking his death, or killing himself.
