Fantasy The True Strength of The Warrior

(Come on... if you have to go, at least put your character in some sort of passive state?)

Artorias shook his head, muttering, "You're going to get yourself killed one of these days with that arrogance." He sighed, dragging Issac a tad bit away from the field, knowing that this is only his fight.

( Artorias shall force all who leave with an active role into a passive role. )

The rain was still pouring heavy, forcing the ground into a marsh-like feel thunder rolled and lightning cracked in the distant sky.

Artorias smiled as the storm raged on, it seemed fitting, reminding him nothing lasts forever, just like the rain can wipe away evidence or tracks, time can wipe away memories and meaning.

The necklace warmed him, still a light blue hue on his armor as it glowed gently, fading in and out.

Artorias smiled, holding the necklace tight to his chest, a warm peaceful feeling enveloping him. "At least I won't fight cold." He chuckled, trying to lighten his mood.

( Sorry, I have to go to bed, *sighs* I hate being busy. <(-,.,-)> )

(Guess I make no re-appearance until tomorrow? Hehe, good night :) )

(Well, this took way longer than it should have. My internet is on the fritz)

"Hunter!" Mikhail shouted. Adrian spurred his horse on, riding parallel to the knight. "You should know this area. Lead us on to the knight."

Adirian sighed, taking the lead. The trees, which once were his home, only seemed to bring up bad feelings and emotions. He led the knights to the falls, where he had last seen Artorias.

"Well? Where is he?" one of the knights asked Adrian.

"Hush. He wouldn't stay in the same place for too long, not where his enemies could find him. He probably headed east- there is a clearing there where i catch lots of game." He turned to the west, followed close behind by the knights. Soon, the clearing was just in view through the heavy rain.

Artorias stood still, eyes closed, listening to the rain fall, smiling softly. "Hmm, wonder when those others will get here, the suspense is killing me." He asked, chuckling slightly, trying to lighten his mood, even in the face of possible death. Artorias frowned slightly, a small voice, almost like a whisper, asking him what he would do when the knights got there, partially thinking he'd try to end it peacefully, yet more of him thinking, "Slaughter them!" Artorias shook his head, trying to clear his mind.

( Implementing the start of the next adventure with that )

Mikhail pulled his horse to a stop. A figure was standing in the clearing, obscured by rain and darkness. He jumped off his horse, walking straight toward him. He stopped about a dozen yards away, shoulders squared and feet planted in the ground. "Its a shame that this is how we must meet, Artorias" he said, raising his voice to be heard through the constant drum of rain.

Adrian walked into the treeline, watching the scene unfold. He held the root in his hand, ready to eat it whenever he might be needed. But he had seen Mikhail fight- he lived up to his nickname, the Bear Knight.

Artorias stretched slightly, acting unconcerned, thinking, "oh shit, how'd he find me so quickly." he spoke up, "Didn't think I'd be seeing you so soon, Mikhail. Mind telling me if you came alone or if you plan on letting others fight me to wear me out?" Artorias asked casually, hoping for a low number, since it'd be harder to knock out a large group by repeated smashing of his greatsword, also hoping to piss off Mikhail.

(i just typed my entire reply in caps...)

"There are only three others. But i want to deal with you myself" he answers. "Unless, of course, you would prefer to fight four of your former comrades at once?"

Artorias stretched, greatsword unsheathed. "Depends, would you like to see three unnecessary people get killed?" Artorias responded without thinking, unsure where this was coming from.

(have to go for a while, will for sure be back in 2 hours. I would put my character in a passive position, but i dont really see how that's possible at this moment...)

Mikhail smirked. "I see" he answers, pulling out his sword. "I shall fight you alone." He grabbed his shield from his back and slipped his arm into the handle, turning his body slightly to the right.

Mikhail placed his fist on his chest and lowered his head. "Be ready. I am attacking with my full strength" Mikhail says quietly, planting his foot in the ground. With a grunt, he lunged, slashing straight downward, shield ready to block an attack.

(I'm back.) Isaac rushed back to the field in a full sprint "Were you planning on starting without me?" Isaac asked Artoris.

Seeing he was being attacked Isaac refocused his attention on the big knight. There was no way he could take him so instead he grabbed Artorias and pulled him out of harms way "Unfair don't you think?" he asked cockily

(Hello?)

(time to bring adrian into this, i guess)

Adrian quickly chewed and swallowed the root. The pain in his led and chest seemed to seep away as the pain receptors began to shut off, causing him to let out a sigh of relief. He Pulled out the sword he had been given and charged into the field, swinging at Isaac. Mikhail seemed surprised, but quickly disregarded the two smaller men, turning his attention to Artorias.

"Why are you doing this Adrian?" Isaac asked deflecting the strike with his dagger "Remember hiding from and killing the guards." he said trying to turn them against each other.

Adrian grinned, bringing the sword around for another quick strike. "Quit that petty attempt" he growled. "Im not going to change my mind!
