Realistic or Modern The Town Of Fantasia Wood Pine

Jeremy's cough interrupted her speaking of non-human people. "Here take my coat." He slips off the jacket and hands it out to Samantha. The thoughts raced through his mind of her catching on to the others. Including him. "What do you mean by that? You think there are people here who aren't people?" He smiled at her and nodded his head. "I do believe that to be true. There are plenty of unexplained things lurking around this dreary town." The best way to draw her away from his true identity would be to embrace the fact.

@Dylans Wife

Riley smiled and stood up fully now. "Great," She reached her hand out to the small six year old unknowingly that she wasn't actually six. If Riley knew it would be quite embarrassing to offer a holding hand to an adult. "Yes, really. I have plenty of hot chocolate and marshmallows, even whipped cream if you like that." After standing outside of the bar for five minutes in conversation, she walks down the road with Lucinda and towards her house. "What would your name be? I'm Riley."

@XxKaraxX

Noah was grinning as he proceeded to set out all of his school equipment on his desk. He looked incredibly happy to be at school. He looked over at the girl that had sat next to him and put down some of his pencils, extending his hand towards her. "Hey, nice to meet you." He said, in a friendly manner, "My name is Noah, what's yours?"

@XxKaraxX

Carmine sighed as he walked out the bar door, ignoring the girl he was just talking who was now bent over talking to a little girl. He continued down the sidewalk and past the buildings, until he eventually reached the edge of town, where the woods were. He sighed again, trying to look into the spaces the flurry of trees blocked. The thin fog from before was still there, and he felt a chill run up his back. An eerie aura emanated from the woods, and he took a step back. He was confused; why would anyone, even curious tourists, walk into these woods willingly?...

He put a hand on his chin, deep in thought.

Lucinda willingly took Riley's hand and followed her to her home, "I'm Lucinda." She said calmly as she looked up at Riley, "Riley is such a pretty name." Lucinda said with a smile as they got closer to Riley's house.

Kara looked over the boy that she was sitting next to her. She looked him up and down, he seemed well built and if he stood, pretty tall as well.

She shook his hand, wondering in her mind why was he so joyful.

Kara then let go of his hand, "Kara, Kara Archer." She said with a soft smile, "Why are you so joyful?" She asked with a laugh.

She was talking, but quiet enough where the teacher wouldn't be able to hear them. @Domxx

"Well," He said, grinning at her, "Nice to meet you Kara, Kara Archer." He was smiling down at his desk. After he opened his book and had a pen in his hand he looked back up at her, "I've never actually been to school before, I'm excited to see what kinds of people live here. I was always home-schooled up until.." His smile wavered, "Haha, nevermind." He looked back down at his book. @XxKaraxX

Riley nodded and soon made their way to a house on the corner. She unlocked the door and walked both of them in. "The living room is through there. Just make yourself comfortable." She points to the room and disappears into her kitchen. A few minutes later she comes back with two steaming coffee cups full to the brim with hot chocolate. It was topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings to add some flavor. "Here, I figured you like chocolate since you got so excited when I mentioned hot chocolate." Riley sits in the seat across from her then her eyes narrow. "Ok, now tell me the real story on why you are so curious about the detective. Geeze so many lies told in one day." Her head shakes, "I also know your not six so cut to the chase and tell me who you are."

@XxKaraxX

Michael and Runa walked to school making it just a bit late and headed to the office. Runa had gotten quieter and quieter the closer they got to school, now in the office she hid behind her titan of a 6ft 2in tall brother

"Runa and Michael Halliwell, We just moved here and you should have been expecting us for a few weeks now." Michael said to the secretary when it was there turn at the desk. She smiled but it didn't seen too real since he knew the paperwork and the calls to the teachers she would have to do.

They waited a bit and then the secretary handed them their paperwork which they tucked into their backpacks. They gave them each passes to their first class to hand to their teachers and explain who they were. "Thanks" Michael said dragging a awkwardly frozen Runa out the door.

Samantha watched Jeremy take off his coat and hand it to her with no problem, She looked at him then at the thick coat hesitantly grabbing it from the dark haired boy. "Thank you..."She trailed off slipping the coat on comfortably glancing down at the zipper then dragged it up slowly staying warm. Finally.
"What do you mean by that? You think there are people here who aren't people?" He smiled brightly at her, She smiled back softly nodding her head. "I'm saying, Human...Yeah. I think they're is something definitely going on as crazy as it sounds."Samantha never believed in supernatural creatures, but how would you know it seemed like everything went wrong when she came here."I do believe that to be true. There are plenty of unexplained things lurking around this dreary town." He said, Samantha of course didn't know his identity if she did she'd probably want to drive herself off a cliff more like jump considering she can't drive. "So I'm not crazy." She smiled happily snuggling the coat more closer to her. "Thanks, for the coat again..." Samantha said staring over at the dark woods that seemed to never end, she loves to hike even in a place like this it was tempting.

Carmine pulled out his smartphone and made a note of the woods and the dissapearances. He looked back to them once more and headed back to town, the eerie feel he had never receding. He put his hands back into his pockets, walking back to the hotel. Once he arrived, he went back to his room and got back onto his laptop. He searched up the local legends around Fantasia, and was surprised at what he saw. Most of the legends say that long ago, Fantasia used to be a safe haven for all types of creatures, be it human or mythical being. They were all shunned by society and built Fantasia together, where they still live to this day. Carmine laughed a little at this. A happy ending for everyone it seems. But Carmine began to think harder about it. Could this eerie aura he'd been getting from nearly everyone....be because they were creatures of some kind? He shuddered at the thought. He had heard crazier theories, but he couldn't get it out of his mind. He shook his head, trying to get the thoughts out of his head. He exited the hotel again and began to aimlessly wander, trying to get a feel for the town. He eventually found himself in the town park, and though the rest of the town had the usual eerieness, he felt rather....calm here. He sat down on a nearby park bench and took a deep breath.

Jeremy smiles and notices her interest in the woods. There were plent of secrets, some his own in there. "Let's go. Let's go in the woods." He too decides to look over to them and then back at her. "There's plenty of mystery beyond the edge of the trees. Let's go exploring." He grins and holds out his hand as if he were an actual gentlemen. "Or we can go exploring tonight and find something better to do until then. I think the second option sounds better." Jeremy's attention turns towards another presence in the park. A man seemingly only in his early 20's.

@Dylans Wife

Carmine took another deep breath as he sat on the bench. There was a very pleasant scent to this park, and he enjoyed it. He had a feeling that this was probably the only place around town that had this peaceful feeling to it. He sighed as he looked around and spotted out of the corner of his eyes two more teens, one male and the other female. The male seemed to be...staring at him. This unnerved Carmine a little, but he returned his gaze to the park.

Samantha watched him and nodded her head excitedly when explained that they could go explore the woods a little bit. She actually hasn't done that in quite a while due to her mothers passing right after her affair with an another man, She committed suicide after her father left her and took Samantha with him, It was a better lift with her father anyways she never really got along with her mother anyways, always bickering at each other things got old after a while. Some days Samantha actually wishes she could go back and mend their relationship, But it was too late by then.
"Let's go. Let's go in the woods." He said holding out a hand to her, She grabbed it quickly smiling up at him. "There's plenty of mystery beyond the edge of the trees. Let's go exploring." Jeremy suggested, "Yeah, Ill go wherever you want to go." Samantha explained gazing all around with her orbs that lit up, "Or we can go exploring tonight and find something better to do until then. I think the second option sounds better." He said then turned his attention to something, She followed his eyes furrowing her thick defined eyebrows at where he was looking at. "Agreed, Lets go....I have no idea what you're looking at."

@BasicallyMe

Jeremy's eyes flashed an almost red color it could seem, but Carmine couldn't be for sure. He let a grin escape his lips, totally forgetting that he was speaking with Samantha. Finally, his gaze broke and Jeremy's attention went back to her, "Oh, yeah sorry. Don't worry about it." He tightens his grip around her hand and walks away towards his house. "I know this'll be weird since we just met, but we're going to go to my house and grab a few things for the woods and then I'll take you out to eat for lunch." He suggested this to her as a smooth gesture.

@Dylans Wife

Carmine watched the two out of the corner of his eye, a little disturbed at the male who was still staring at him. The bad feeling Carmine had before was slowly returning the more this teen looked at him, and he saw what he thought was a flash of red in the kids eyes. He rubbed his own to try and make sure, but when he put his hands back down, the kid had resumed talking to the female. He shook his head slowly; for some cryptic reason or another, he felt as if someone in this town was out to get him. This only made Carmine dislike the town he was in even more. He tried to feel the peace he had felt before when he first entered the park, but it seemed to have dissapeared. He leaned back on the bench and kept an eye on the two; he was just getting a bad vibe from them.

Samantha felt Jeremy's hand clasp onto hers tightly, She felt comfortable enough to hold his hand. Wow, that didn't take him long to make her feel trustworthy of him. "Oh, It's fine...I'll just wait outside so I don't get into your family business." She said calmly seeing him grinning for some apparent reason glancing back at some guy furrowing her brows at him. "It's sound good..." She trailed off not trying to think about the dude staring at them, Did Jeremy know him? Most likely. She shook the thought off trying to ignore the fact that that ever happened, Maybe it was just her. "You're lucky your family is still together..." She trailed off silently, Hoping that he wouldn't hear. Well, she wouldn't know cause he seemed like a pretty happy dude, But she obviously doesn't know him other than the fact he's just some nice dude taking her on a date and has some chemistry with her. "I never got how old you are."

@BasicallyMe

(busy, busy, busy!)

Jeremy begins walking with Samantha down the sidewalk after passing the man who seemed oddly suspicious to him. "Oh, yeah I guess you can say I am lucky." He nods then when she asks for his age, Jeremy scratches the back of his neck. "I'm uh, I'm 19. How old are you?" He keeps walking and stops to unlock the door. "Just come in it'll only take a second." He turns to her and nods reassuringly, "My parents won't bite."

Samantha was surprised by his age, He definitely was older than she'd expect but the thing was she was worried what he would think about her age. I mean she is only fifteen years old hoping he wouldn't change his mind about her.
"I'm uh, I'm 19. How old are you?" He asked curiously itching the back of his neck looking at her, She gritted her teeth tilting her head to the side a bit squinting her wide hues. "Fifteen..." She trailed off nervously, Afraid of what he might say about her. "I know, It's weird. I'm a lot more mature for my age." She said, following him up the stairs to the front door unlocking it. "Just come in it'll only take a second." Jeremy said turning his body towards her nodding to her reassuringly, "My parents won't bite." Samantha chuckled, and smiled at him softly. "Fine, Only cause you said so." She agreed and followed him inside gazing all around the room, with curious eyes.

@BasicallyMe

Carmine watched the teen walk by with his companion, his eyes hidden by his shades. As soon as he had left the park area, the peaceful aura had returned. Carmine looked around and nodded to himself. It was official: something strange was going on around this town, and it wasn't just people dissapearing. He stood from the bench and began walking. If this town truly was what he believed it to be, he needed more information about it. He began walking around town, looking for a library of sorts. He stopped a man passing by and asked for its location, to which he told him it was connected to the high school for convince to students. He thanked the man and made his way to the High School again, following the path he made the first time. He reached it in a few minutes and pulled the front doors open, stepping inside the building. He walked to the front office of the school and asked the secretary there which way the library was. She pointed to left and said to just follow the hallway, it was behind the two wood doors at the end. He thanked her and made his way to it, sighing as he opened the doors slowly.

"Hey, relax about your age. I could care less how old you are." He looks around surprised at the emptiness. His parents would have definitely been all over them by now in their weird, annoying way. "JER!" Jeremy's eyes close in disappointment and he rubs the bridge of his nose while both of his parents file into the room.

"Where have you been we need to talk." His father's voice was deep and controlling. Whatever he says goes only because it's intimidating.

"I was out, and I'm not stay-"

"Oh! Who's this?" His mother walks over to Samantha and touches her hair in a loving way. "It's about time you bring a girl home to meet." She smiles her pearly whites identical to Jeremy's.

"No, no. I just came to get something and we're going to go off in the woods tonight. Stop being so freaking weird." He slaps his mother's hand off of Samantha's hair.

Both of his parents pause and look around the room awkwardly. "Alright well that's.. fine." His father arches an eyebrow and disappears into the kitchen.

@Dylans Wife

Carmine stepped into the dead quiet room, and the first thing he saw was a small desk with an even smaller older woman reading a book, her spectacles dangling from her nose. He walked down the many rows of the library, trying to count the number of shelves on them, but lost count around three hundred. He continued down the rows, looking at the selection of books before him. He pulled out books as he went, some about the towns history, others about fables. Once he had enough, he walked to a nearby table and set them down quietly. He put the first one in front of him and opened it up, scanning the dusty pages.

Kara smiled and listened to what he had to say as she also opened up her notebook and took out her blood red pen, "Well, if you want to know," Kara pauses, wondering about what to say about our small town, not wanting to give off to much information about the type of people, "Lets just say we're a very interesting bunch. But you got to love us." She said with a laugh, "Oh, and homeschooling, wow, good luck in this completely new environment." @Domxx

Lucinda made her way into the living room and sat down on the comfy leather chair. She sat crisscrossed and waited for Riley to come back.

Once Riley came back Lucinda got the nice big coffee cup of hot chocolate. Mmmm, it smelled so good. She hasn't had something like this in so long...

Then Lucinda's eyes widened at Riley's comment, "Well..." She said her voice trailing off, "I don't trust the detective, I mean who really wants to write something about our small town." Lucinda says, raising her voice a bit, "I just don't trust this man coming into our peaceful town..." She took a sip of the hot cocoa, "And... My name is Lucinda Perry... I'm a bit older than you... 3168 to be exact..." Lucinda mumbles a little spell is her pastel wings appear, "I'm a fairy, been living in Fantasia's forest before this town was even named that." Lucinda took another sip of her hot chocolate, "This hot cocoa is very could, if I do say so myself." @BasicallyMe

Riley listens and shakes her head, "Our peaceful town? Nothing about this town is peaceful. What in your right mind makes you think it's peaceful?" She sips at her coffee and tries to ignore her repetitive use of the word peaceful. "I have to say that the longer I've lived here the weirder it gets and the more you found out." She pulls her hair behind her ear and sits back. "A fairy huh?" She continues to think about what she's said, "Why would you be doubting of a detective?"

@XxKaraxX

"Well.." She takes another sip of the hot cocoa, "I've never lived anywhere else, this is all I've ever known, so to me its peaceful and I don't want people disrupting whats going already going on here."

Lucinda leans in a bit, "Plus, I think he's onto something about our town... Because you must know this town isn't full of humans, witches live here, mermaids, any creature you could think of... This is the safe place for them." She says and sighs as Lucinda puts down the mug on the coffee table and rests her head on her hand in distress, "I just don't want our people to be discovered and then brought to the government or something."

She narrows her eyes, "He's definitely not here to write a paper... And, how did you even know I wasn't who I say I am? Everyone falls for that little bit..." @BasicallyMe

Draven Lee

"The Child of Beautiful Shadows"

In a short amount of time, Draven was able to retrieve a few hearts from the cemetery just a few miles away from the town. Luckily, he played the role of the "distraught family member" and easily obtained the information needed to find a couple of fresh graves, digging it up to find the treasure inside the corpse's chest. He had to admit that the daylight had drained his energy a bit. He couldn't stand the glaring beams of light upon his sensitive eyes. Draven was able to mask the stench of the bloodied hearts by strong-scented candles that he brought from a local shop in the city. Although the town would have candles more pungent and delectable, Draven didn't want to have to deal with the other spirits who despised his presence. He was having a horrible day. He stopped midway in the parking lot and surveyed some individuals walking by. Draven frowned and pressed forward with his head down as he made his way towards the woods. Passing by the meadow that concealed his dungeon, Draven found a rather large river that was shadowed with the thick branches of the trees looming above. The gumiho curiously glanced down at the water that was murky with mud and sediment. His eyes trailed downwards to follow the turquoise-blue water that cascaded down steep and jagged rocks. "I can hear you panting for these hearts." Draven's husky voice boomed throughout the still forest as an evil spirit appeared in thin air. "Here, take this to him." The fox spirit would simply state as he threw the duffel bag to the spirit, watching the bloody thing dissipate into the shadows. Draven let out a sigh of relief as he practically plopped down on a large slab of sedimentary rock, a mat of moss cushioning his bottom. Chords of soft light came down from above and bathed the surface of the water like gold. Inspired by the tranquil scene of nature, Draven brought out his danso, a traditional korean wind instrument that was passed down from generation to generation. He has heard of the rumors that this flute belonged to his original parents, the only memento he has of them. He brought his lips towards the opening and positioned his fingers at the holes, playing a delicate and lovely tune that echoed throughout the forest. Each time he played a song from this flute, he would start imagining what his parents were like: supportive, protective, kind, and most of all, loving. The feelings that clenched his heart were conveyed through the mystical sounds of the flute, a song of hope and love flitting about like butterflies in the air. He closed his eyes as he concentrated on perfecting his notes, feeling the smooth ancient bamboo beneath the pads of his finger tips. The churning water and the sweet notes of the danso harmonized simultaneously.

Riley grins as she is talking about a safe haven for creatures like them, "Well I feel honored that you care about our safety," She leans back and continues to sip at the hot chocolate. Lucinda begins to look as if she's stressing out about the whole situation and then she asks Riley the question. "Well, I know you weren't who you say you are because you didn't smell human. You smelled like little pixie sticks." Riley arches her eyebrow then laughs at her own joke unable to hold it in, "Ok I'm only messing, you didn't smell like pixie sticks that was just some humor but you didn't have the ever so familiar human smell. Straight from that I knew you were a lie."
