Name: Nafara Sukub
Age: 23
Gender/Sex: Female
Appearance:
8ii1lXB.jpg
Pink-blond long hair, is rather short, small frame, cute face, left eye is red, right eye is violet.
Clothing: Her original clothing got torn badly during capture, so the orcs gave her a knee length light brown linen short sleeve dress. It is currently the only clothing she has. She doesn't have any socks or shoes.
Original occupation: She was originally an apprentice to a pharmacist.
Abilities: Her only special ability is that she can find special nodes to learn skills and that drinking the blood of fallen enemies or eating them slightly enhances her strength and agility
Weakness: She really hates fighting and would rather hide if possible. Killing someone or something will hurt her emotionally. The extreme lengths to survive are the only things that would drive her to actually kill someone or eat a fallen enemy even though she hates it.
Likes: Sweets, forgetting about the bad things happening
Dislikes: Harming people or animals, blood, pain
Personality: Originally joyful and optimistic. It all came crashing down when her family was massacred before her eyes at the hands of orcs. Ever since then, she has been afraid and has cried almost every night. She will only act against her nature for survival because the one thing worse for her than enduring the stress and pain is actually dying. She feels that the further she is in the tower and the further she is driven to survive, the more unhinged she will become. She will long contemplate whether to kill or not and apologize during the violence. Her will to live is probably the strongest part of her despite her wanting to do that without violence.
Background: Born into a rather middle class family, she had a fairly carefree life up until the raid. During the raid, her family had no where to go and they waited together in their home waiting for certain death. When the orcs broke in, Nefara hid in a cupboard and watched as her parents and two younger siblings her brutally murdered. When the orcs found her, they decided against killing her because they thought someone of her beauty would make a good slave. In the end, the orc leader decided for her to go to the tower of trials because he wanted to either see her face break or her personality break. Due to the horror and near death experiences, she somehow can now see nodes that give her knowledge of survival which appear as blue orbs of light. The first one she found in a cage which would enhance her strength if she drank blood or ate the raw meat of fallen enemies. Now she is waiting for a possible demise unless she can manage to survive.

Name: Arthur Maelblood

Moral Compass: Lawful Evil

Age: 27

Gender/Sex: Male

Appearance: A 6'4 slim man. He has medium length blond hair and green eyes. From afar he could be easily mistaken for just about anyone, but up close his body and facial features make him stand out. He is well built and conventionally attractive.

Clothing (at least that at the beginning, could be the last worn clothes during the raid or can be rags given to you by the orcs): A distinguished suit that is only mostly mildly cut and tattered. A necklace that looks like a silver and gold vine that hangs from his neck, the amulet that hangs from the necklace is a brilliant shining blue (but he usually keeps it beneath his shirt). He has a pocket watch ((if its time period accurate)) and a gold pendant on his suit jacket.

Original occupation (if known): Career Politician ((or if not time period-accurate, a nobleman))

Abilities (can be fighting ability or a special ability that helps your character get a hand of fighting): A very accomplished and skilled mage. He is capable of incredibly powerful spells and wards with seemingly no warm up or charges for anything. This, of course, comes with great cost, so he prefers not to do that. Instead, he uses his wit and people skills to get things done. In most cases, he would do anything he could before he resorted to his magic, though it is substantial enough that it would answer all of his problems.
Weakness (at least one weakness that actually influences chances at survival, such as a cowardly personality or a weak body): He is incredibly snide and cunning. He thinks he is a lot smarter than he is actually is, and he refuses to admit he is wrong outright. The best you could get with him is an agreement that both parties weren't totally correct. He can hold his own in a physical battle, but he is dreadfully uncoordinated when it comes to technical swordplay and weapon uses.

Likes: Power, winning, small rodents, morally good people.

Dislikes: Fear (his own especially), being reminded of mortality, failure, dogs, people who are evil for the sake of being evil.

Personality: Arthur is a man of the people, that is to say, he likes working with people to get them to do what he wants. He is charming, smart, and a little bit narcissistic. He is not, however, irredeemable. He has genuine compassion for good people who have bad things happen to them and has incredible respect for people who are willing to risk their lives to defend others. He always looks out for himself, but never if he knows it will drastically ruin another's life.

Background:
Arthur Maelblood didn't actually intend to be a politician. For a long time, he was simply a poor orphaned boy who had big dreams of becoming powerful. He had ambitions and he'd be damned if they didn't get him places. From picking up odd jobs to learning every craft he could, the poor boy grew and became increasingly influential in many circles until finally, he held a seat in a comfortably high position of power. He was finally where he had always dreamed he would be, but his lust for power couldn't just end in terms of politics, he had to be powerful in any way he could manage. A decent mage in his own right, he sought out ways to make himself more and more powerful so he would be the strongest mage in the world. After countless years of searching, he eventually heard from the grapevine there was a magical artifact that served as an infinite source of manna. With that kind of power, one would easily be able to cast whatever spells they wanted where ever they pleased. Arthur had to have it. By using his resources (not to mention a few under-the-table deals with the black market) he finally got his hands on the rechargeable manna crystal stolen straight from the very orcs that would raid his town in a few short years. As he put the amulet on he could feel unlimited power coarse through his veins. Wanting to test the limits of this artifact, he went secretly to an isolated area and conjured incredibly powerful spells one after the other with no delay between them. It was an incredible display of power, but Arthur felt something wrong. He felt as though he had lost something important that he could never get back. He looked at the amulet and saw it's light fade, then slowly begin to glow brighter and brighter, but as the light grew brighter his own memories of himself and his life began to fade. Indeed this power was infinite, but the cost of his own soul. Terrified of what else might happen if he continued to use it, he thought to destroy it. He knew better than to destroy a source of infinite manna, not only was it ludicrously important and could solve thousands of problems; destroying a normal manna crystal sends magical energy flying uncontrollably for miles, who knows what destroying an infinite manna crystal would do. He decided it was best to keep it and have it remain his dark secret, only tapping into it when he needed it most.
Years later, and a ferocious band of orcs came and ransacked his village, leaving little survivors and taking the rest as prisoner. Arthur, knowing better than to reveal his most powerful secret, tried explaining to the orcs that he was incredibly powerful and influential among humans, and if they took him and kept him alive they would get much more from the humans than whatever they were after. Whether or not they understood him, Arthur couldn't tell, but they seemed to understand that he would come quietly and willingly. They still beat him and whipped him and slashed him in the usual fashion, but they didn't bother stripping him of his identity or clothing (to Arthur's relief). He was hauled into a wagon and shipped off someplace Arthur had never heard of or been to, the Tower of Trials.
