Hey question! What kind of setting does this take place in? Like it is more similar to medieval times or modern times or futuristic times? Just wanted to know how advanced their technology is (i.e. do they live in villages as farmers or in city apartment working office jobs?)
more like a modern setting, I believe.

Modern! For the most part. The time period for the kids is modern, though this will shift as they go through time. But they grew up in the current era :) !

Wow, I had to do a lot of catching up.

sorry midnight (and others who had criticism on his first characteridea), but I would love to play a judgemental philosopher.

name: Trystan Lewis

age: 18

Trystan has a well-functioning brain, almost too good. He has a photographic memory that remembers even the smallest details. In logics and deduction he is almost equal to people like Sherlock Holmes and Aristoteles. He knows how you feel, just by looking at you, but chooses not to act on that knowledge. When he observes you for a longer time he might deduce your background or predict how you would react in certain circumstances. There’s no use in hiding secret’s from Trystan, he will find out eventually.

Trystan is not very social. He often blurs out what is on his mind. Most of the time these thoughts are hurtful and mean, he doesn’t really care. He is judgmental and often points out flaws in others, which he thinks they should be thankful for.The way he sees it, humiliation and pain can be a good motivation to start improving your personality. He often conducts social experiments to help others improve themselves or to find out why they act like they do.

Trystan has a bit of a superiority complex. He thinks he stands outside the food chain and sees wanting to fit in as a sin. He gets really angry when people don't acknowledge his achievements or when people hurt his pride. He doesn't like wasting time on you if he feels you're not worthy. You can prove your worth if you are able to change your habits and believes to become a better person. In general, he likes people with a strong will and determination. Once you've proven your worth to him he accepts you as a friend (or will try his very best to become your friend). He will come up for people that get treated unfairly or when he thinks they deserve better.

His relations are very intense. He places your needs before his own and helps you grow to your best potential as a person. He can be a real gentleman, well-mannered and kind, but only if he wants to be. Being his friend does not mean that you’re safe for his criticism and dark thoughts, but at least he will try not to hurt your feelings too badly.

His nasty personality is actually a defense mechanism. He is a very sensitive guy, but shields his feelings for almost everyone. He has severe trust-issues. Thus building relationships is a very hard and slow process.

special ability: heat manipulation, radiating heat and cold

So... what do you think?

This is metagaming. It's disguised, yes, but the issue remains. It's ok to have a character that is smart and perceptive, but one which has THIS much of both is too much nomatter how you look at it.

This doesn't fit in with the rest of the character, especially considering the paragraph it is in.

Felix said:

I believe you mean "FROM" not "for" almost everyone.

Overall, the character is good, but as many others has unecessary and unfittung traits, not to mention an attempted metagaming. The character is at it's peak when acting in a situation where it is wrong, but denies it over arrogance. I suggest adding vanity and arrogance as traits, given they very much fit this character. I also suggest rich protective parents for backstory, as the pressure combined with the fact that he is very perceptive would allow for a feeling of futility and depression that could form such a superiority complex.

Regarding his powers, what are the extents? maximum variation of temperature, time he can do it at or for, range and other limiters that would prevent that from becoming an instakill or another form of overpowered.

{ I'm like really sorry for like being so late, having family over......and wasn't allowed on the computer }

I would like her to have the power of telepathy and the mind.

My character would be the protective older sister or younger sister but has a few secrets of her own. Maybe having a kid or having to take care of her younger sibling(s). I was actually thinking of her also being a foster kid but I didn't know it that would fit in the story

I was thinking the protective yet quiet girl with a past or is that too cliche?

She would be the one with the motivation to make something of herself, to make life for someone.

If she is a foster kid then maybe one of the other characters could be one of her old foster siblings or something

My character name is Mickey Isa, she's a female and is bisexual

Maybe someone she doesn't completely like comes into this stories, someone from her past

What do you mean the "power of the mind" ? What is the extent and power of her telepathy?

How old would your character be?

I meant like to can talk to the others through the mind, send images using her mind, might also be able to use telekinesis but I was thinking that would be too OP

My character would be around the ages of 14-18

So controlling minds or reading them is out of question if such is against their owner's will. Very good.

Of that age range would you be willing to place her as seventeen year old? We could have your charcter have been adopted by mine and @Evine 's family (if @Evine agrees to this as well) , being a younger sister to my character and an older sister to @Evine 's, though she wouldn't be blood related, thus opening the possibility for romance later on if the events call for it.

Doing this would also allow us to emphasize more on possible family troubles, making them have a much bigger impact on the group since they would now affect three characters at once Directly.

Yea, I never actually liked the idea of controlling or reading somebodies mind without their permission. It seems kinda OP..

I am for this idea, I don't mind if my character is 17, it would be interested as well. My character would still adjusting to having a family.

well done, cause it is OP.

Still adjusting, huh? Well, their father went missing a few months ago, so your character would have had to have been adopted at least 2 years ago. Is that ok with you?

Yep, she would be still adjusting because she still would feel like an outsider and does everyone knows about her history (When I make it of course?)

That depends. What would be known fir certain is anything your caharvter told ours or that your character gave away, plus anything that would be in official documents and rumours.

My character, being the older brother might have been told more than @Evine 's character, because she would have been kept from some information. On the other hand, your character might have chosen to open up to the younger one or simply, the other girl in the family first, thus having @Evine be the one with more info. It's up to you.

Oh, and of course anything power related or time travel related would be known by their parents, but not necessarily by any of her siblings.

I was thinking that she would be in the system since she was born. In and out of foster homes that was either abusive (Verbally or Physically ), or she was not fit for that family. Meaning she was an troubled case and has scars. But she doesn't know about family or anything meaning her history is completely open for pop up siblings for either the good guys or the bad guys. She developed the habit of smoking and getting in trouble

So the rumors might have been she was in juvie, or went to prison. I was thinking your character knows more then @Evine character because of the files and things. Mickey being Mickey, my character wouldn't have open up to her family in the 2 years. Her personality making her stubborn to believe she's in a forever home

Alright. In what kind of actions would it translate, exactly? Relatively to not fitting in with the family.

Like smoking, sometimes drinking, disrespecting the parents, not following the rules of the house, and being with a bad crowd things like that

What about her siblings? How does she act towards them?

Are you sure you handle a charaacter like this? Staying in character will be though.

Your character Henry, she is kinda liking but hating at the same time. He's making her feel welcome and a part of the feeling but she thinks that this is all temporay, that this isn't going to be the home that would love her like the others should have

@Evine character Ella, she is protective over because she looks like a little kid but doesn't get near her because she is afraid of hurting her feelings or hurting her period so she ignores her but tends to go crazy if something happens to her.

I know but I want to challenge myself a bit and I made characters like this before but not this deep in badass charateristics but somewhere around it

Well, good luck and let me know if you need any help.

I'm intrigued by this idea. What's the level of literacy required? I know it says detailed but I have too many mid-low level details under my belt so I want something with a higher expectation. Just so I don't have incorrect expectations. @Evine

Don't have expectations then. The number of times the length is consistent with what was planned is little to none.

If you like the idea, do join. Quality isn't just found in length after all...and if you want it as an absolute, well, I doubt you will that many roleplays as such. But, then again, you're welcome to try. Who Knows? Maybe you'll find one.

Are you a GM? Not being rude just wondering? And I do want to have correct expectations and I won't join if I'm not happy with the length...which is why I'm asking?

And when I GM I have strict expectations to be met and many of the higher level roleplays I like have strict expectations. So. Yeah. It does happen.
