Some History, including personality: she's very daring. She tends to be quiet, looking out for herself only, unless she's around the other thieves. She looks out for them. She's grown up on the streets since birth, being raised by a man that calls himself the Thief King of Paris.

Some History, including personality: Has been leading a safe, mundane, moronic life. It is almost killing him. He is a highschool senior, and all of his Friends have left him, leaving him depressed, and having fits of internal rages and self degradation. He has attempted suicide (Or at least thought of it) Multiple times. Most of his plans have gone down the crapper, so he sometimes feels futility in everything.

Nicole couldn't believe that she had gotten herself on food duty again. Even though she was practically raised on the streets of Paris, she hated stealing from food vendors, but that was the only way to survive. "You guys owe me so much." She grumbled when she left. "You're just going to have to wait until I get enough food for us all." With a huff, she sauntered off to an apple cart first. The owner was no where in sight. "So far, so good." She pocketed the first five apples without any trouble, but as she reached for the sixth, her hand was jerked away. "What do you think you're doing?" The mean old man hissed.

Leland Myers was having a normal day again... And it was killing him. He breathed in the air of Paris... The smell of tourists, hidden crime, and cigarettes. Nothing that he really cared for...

He looked at the river, as it seemed to invite him again to just dive in and surrender... The fights over, soldier...It seemed to say to him in a strangely war-veteran type way Time to go rest... You lost...

Out of the blue, he hears a scream from a girl and an old man. He walked over. "Hey!" He said, faking confidence. "You leave her alone!"

The old man looked up at Leland when he yelled. "Oh yeah? And what are you gonna do to stop me? This girl has stolen from me for the last time." He reached under his cart for a whip like device, punishment for thievery, and turned the girl over, pinning Nicole to the ground. "She'll never steal again when I'm done with her." Nicole struggled to get free, looking up at Leland with frightened eyes.

He grabbed the old mans hand from swinging. "Physical punishment in the street is no way to hurt a little girl! And if you think it is, you deserve to be stolen from!" His hands grip was firm... More than it has ever been. He started to attempt to pull the device out of his hand, or pull him up off of the girl.

The man got up and Nicole ran away, back in the direction of her home. She just wanted to get away from here as quickly as she could. "H-He just saved me." She realized this while peeking around the corner, where she could still see Leland and the old man, who was growling in pain. "Let go! Let go!"

He somehow still wouldn't let

Go of the hand..."No!" He wrestled him on his feet, and trying to stall him "Police!! This man was abusing a girl!!!"

Soon, the police came. "Mr. Myers, we'll take the man off your hands." They took the vendor away from Leland. Nicole watched. As they passed her, she shrank into the shadows to avoid being seen. "I'm free?" She asked herself. "I'm actually free?" She couldn't believe it. "Where's that man?" She looked left and right for Leland.

He went back to watching the river. For some reason, he felt... Alive after that experience. More that he ever had... He wondered where the girl was...

He looked up at the sunset... "Time to go home..." He got up and walked past the alley where she was.

Nicole finally spied him by the river. "Why's he still here?" She sprinted toward him. "Hello, sir. I just wanted to thank you for helping me today." She reached into her bag and pulled out the apple that she stole and brought it to her lips. "Do you live around here or are you just visiting?"

"Really? You don't look like it." Nicole giggled. "You look like you're pretty well off around here. Your clothes aren't all ripped up." She noticed that his clothes were much tidier than hers. "Wait, earlier, did that officer say 'Myers' as in Myers castle?"
