Bio: Polo is cautious and wise. He is much like a guardian angel and will often try to guide Arla, especially when he seems her doing something that could potentially end badly. He is overly paranoid about new situations, people and tasks, often worrying that he or Arla will get hurt or things will end up badly. He is Arla's subconscious fears being brought to her attention.
Polo is also very intelligent, much more so than he even knows, he is very good at solving puzzles and other problems which they may face. He loves to help Arla with mind puzzles and other types of mental games.
He is generous, gentle and extremely caring. He will always try to be there for you if you need him and will never betray you. Loyalty is important to him and those around him he cares for greatly.

Arla is considered the embodiment of gentled nature. She has a sweet voice to match her sweet personality.
She is a quiet girl who doesn't like to make a fuss about things and always tries to see the positives in everything, even during the hardest of times. Due to spending so much of her life in the hospital, Arla has developed a huge respect for life and will embrace every moment of living as much as she can. It was part of the reason why she enjoyed plants and flowers so much. She is often very curious of learning and trying new things; however Polo (her Spirit Animal) often tries to talk her out of doing them and occasionally succeeds. Due to this, and due to her upbringing, Arla has very little experience of the world and can often come across as naïve and overly trusting of people she doesn't know; so Polo's cautious nature is very much warranted at times.
Background: Arla was unfortunate to be born unwell and growing up spent most of her childhood and adult life in hospital with only Polo to keep her company. Her parents, especially her mother were extremely protective over their daughter due to her long list of serious medical issues and so would shield her from the outside world to keep her safe. Often staying home from school, social events and spending most of her time in the hospital; Arla never argued however it did often mean she missed out on a lot of things most other children would have. She was never lonely, however she often wished to be able to join in with other people more and do the things that most other people wouldn't have to worry about.

Her passion for gardening and plants began during her time in the hospital. Having little choices of reads and entertainment; she found herself often reading the weekly copy of Gardening World and other gardening magazines. She would take this self taught knowledge to identify the plants and flowers in the hospital gardens and at times would often volunteer to help the gardener to tend to the plants and maintain them. This enjoyment was a good distraction from her illnesses and was also something she eventually pursued as a career.

As an adult, Arla was determined to see a bit more of the world however understands the risks very much. She takes a careful approach at life however isn't afraid to try new things and explore new opportunities. Moving out of her family home to Larkfield recently gave her more freedom due to not having her mother worrying about her every move. Her passion of horticulturist has been helping her deal with the harder sides of living alone, something which she struggled more with due to being so isolated during her childhood.

Appearance: Arla stands at around 5"6" and is of a very slender build with little to no muscle. She has extremely pale skin with a sickly glow to her skin with few blemishes and no acne. Her eyes are a pretty blueish grey in colour and her hair is naturally a light brown; however on occasion she will temporarily dye her hair to mostly natural shades. She often dresses in casual dress and prefers to wear light, pastel, type coloured clothes. However she is also someone who loves to wear summer-type dresses and so will often wear a dress to something she considers an important outing or event in her life.

Bio:
Darwin always comes across as trying to hold himself back from himself, a body filled with endless energy that struggles to cope with a world that isn't active enough for him. It comes out as him always being in a hurry and always being on high alert the entire time; he is always watching and attempting to guess at the next situation. Even when he is laying down and relaxing, he is unable to settle his mind. This issue has been exaggerated by the worries surrounding Dimitri's business.

Darwin's mood very much changes with the situation in the room at the time. He is only friendly towards those that he knows and trusts, it's the only time he will ever let himself show any signs of affection. For the most part, Darwin is serious and extremely guarded. He is known for being very blunt, to the point and not always the most welcoming. If he decides he doesn't like you, he is going to make you aware that you are not in his good books.

Fortunately Darwin does have a good understanding of certain situations where he has to act appropriately and will do so, but that is mostly down to the fact that he must do that for Dimitri's appearances. It doesn't mean he will be happy about it, but Darwin will do it.

Dimitri is a welcoming and friendly guy, he boats in hospitality and enthusiasm for making everyone feel welcome and involved. He never hesitates to introduce himself to new people and get to know them, this is also part of the reason why he excels at his job as a bartender. His bubbly and joyful personality rarely goes unnoticed as he enjoys to get involved in everything and jump at opportunities.

Despite his lively nature, Dimitri also has a soft side, which often comes across at times of need; when he sees that someone else is not happy or in need of a shoulder to cry on. Especially towards more sensitive people, he can bring about a calmer and caring side of himself which is a lot quieter and far more respectful and fitting for that situation. That being said, that side of him is usually only seen in a private or quieter setting with less people. Dimitri's lively nature is often exaggerated when in public and he naturally feels the need to be more entertaining to keep the mood good.

There is also a side to Dimitri that is only ever seen when it relates to his lucrative business. He is not the type of person who would be expected of such illegal bartering and his outgoing lifestyle does a great job at hiding it. When his business is involved, so is his serious side. He will leave all jokes and laughs at the door and instead will be straight to the point and extremely serious. At times his mood can become dark; including the use of threats and warnings in order to ensure that no word is spread of Dimitri's activities. This privacy and self-preservation is of great important to him and Darwin.

Despite his criminal activities, Dimitri is not a bad guy, however that could be negotiable depending on your views of his criminal activity. He is supportive of his friends, loyal and dedicated to those who he cares the most about. He is openly willing to help people out wherever he can, and simply only wants to get by in life the best he can. He is ultimately a bit of a charmer and quiet like a nebulous teenager at heart.
Background:
Dimitri came from a lower-class, poorer, income family. He never knew his father and was raised purely by his mother, along with his three siblings. His mother was able to just about afford to keep the family going, however luxuries were non-existent in the Hayez household. Despite all this, Dimitri kept a positive outlook on life and never wanted to let it bother him.
However as he grew older, Dimitri realised the struggles his family was going through and his mother insisted he would help out. Unable to get a job in his area due to only being thirteen at the time, Dimitri was unfortunate, or fortunate enough, to come across the wrong type of people who would offer him a job. This job was buying and trading counterfeit goods and artwork. What started as a small hustle of selling a few pieces here and there eventually grew into something larger.

His mother at the time was aware of the activities but would turn a blind eye, despite her disproval, the money was more to her and seeing her son making a life for himself was of greater importance. When Dimitri reached eighteen years old, he was offered more work and the option to move locations to Larkfield to continue business there. Dimitri decided to take the offer and moved into a two bedroom house in Larkfield with a basement where he would be able to continue his work in secret.

In addition to his move, he also took the job as a bartender at a local bar in order to keep up appearances and a good reputation in the area. He quickly found that living two lives was perfect for him; his secretive business kept him alive where as his social life and bartending gave him the life he had always dreamed of. For the first time, things were actually going good for him.

Appearance: Dimitri is of average height and build, he has shoulder length black hair which is naturally curly until brushed. He has brown eyes and slightly tanned skin. Often he has light stubble on his face, but never a beard as he trims it short and tidy. He has a way of warming people up to him quickly, but keeps his own feelings close to his chest. He’s enigmatic, mercurial, and mysterious.
