The Soldier and Student's Bonds

"Thank you." Truth was... she'd just never gotten around to cutting it. It was a good thing she'd always been jealous of people with long hair, or she'd have lobbed it off just before coming to get him. "So, shall we go? My roommate's going to drive us to your apartment. Or, I've got permission to have you stay in the empty ramped-room next door to me." Whichever he thought would be better. She'd been told, when she called about his release, to try to give him as few stairs to climb as possible... and she'd taken that to heart.

(No clue if they do this, but... makes for convenience.)

He smiled and said "I'll stay near you, there are way to many stairs to my apartment." He sighed and said "I'm sorry about all this…I just broke my ankle and it got infected and I can't move it for ten days."

A nod. "Then I'll take you out to the car, where we'll get you to our dorms." A smirk, he'd be the only man in an all-girls block of mobile apartments. How would he react, she wondered. She grabbed the handles of his wheelchair and started walking him out of the airport, looking to be in an unusually happy mood. Though, of course, one word would be enough to make her act Tsundere again.

He looked up at her. "You seem happy!" He smiled and bowed his head and then sighed. He said "You don't have to roll me, I can do it myself." He felt bad for coming back like this to her.

She shook her head, "You're injured, but you're back... and I want to do something for you, so you'll be letting me." Selena paused to pat his shoulder, smiling down at him, "You kept your promise, at least for the first half. You can keep it for the second, I'm certain." And she had hope now.

He smiled and kissed her cheek. "Thank you." He sighed and tilted his head back a bit. He really didn't want to go back. He wanted to stay with her, but he didn't have much if a choice. He had to go back.

A nod, her blushing from the unexpected kiss. "Always, Keegan. Anything you need let me know." She'd willingly do anything for him if she could. And luck had given her him a half-year early.

He started rolling himself to her car and got out if the wheelchair, his face drawn with pain. He opened the door for her and winced. He limped back into his wheelchair.

She nearly rushed over to him, but no... that would wound his pride, she figured. "Thank you... I'll take care of it in the future. You just rest yourself, ok?"
