Fantasy The Secret City

Sakura rolled over and suddenly bumped into a body she gave out a light scream but quickly moved her hands over her face. It was only Belle. she began to climb over Belle only to find herself on top of another body, she carefully pulled back the blanket, It was Shou, her faced became red but she couldn't seem to move herself off his lifeless body. She just sat there staring at his face, and wondering how he got here.

Apple sorted through the reference section, taking her 2 hours to find one she could agree on. She stood in line to buy the book. The store was quiet and no one was talking. It was her turn to check out.

"Hello, did you find everything okay?"

"It took me a while but I got it." She stated quickly pulling out her wallet to pay. The cashier went on, "Well just so you know on Saturdays we have poetry readings and I'm giving you a flyer about when the times are and--" He was still talking. Apple was bewildered, what happened to the silence? Now she was left with a chatty cashier. When she finally got through the store was complete silence again. What is going on?" She looked around. They were all listening to music. I should try the head phone thing, Apple hasn't listen to music since the band assembly in elementary school.

Upon leaving the store she found a bench to start her read, a few minutes into it and her throat felt dry. "I need something to drink."

Kohana let out a content sigh as she sat down on her bed. She had just finished moving into her new house, well- a small cottage like place to be exact. Her materials were placed in their rightful places that she wished them to be placed in. The simplistic amount of furniture matched the gentle green wallpaper, making it seem like she living inside a mossy tree trunk. The cottage only had two floors with all of the rooms that any apartment and house should have. What made everything better was that she lived right behind the flower shop, which let natural flowery scent flow into the open windows, filling her cottage with a delightful smell.

She opened the window of her room and breathe in the air from the flower shop. A smiled drifted upon the woman's face as she stared up at the blue sky, completely satisfied with her new home.

She turned to a small flower pot on the bedside table. The pot held a frail but healthy bell flower as gentle swayed from the slight breezes of the outside.

She had saved the poor dehydrated life when she was searching for her cottage. The flower as growing very poorly through the cracks of an old road. When she had brought it back to a healthy state, it took a matter of seconds for Kohana to become friends with the flower as she talked to it.

"Elli~ Isn't this space just so lovely?" The woman outstretched her arms, gesturing to the house she was in.

~*Indeed it is, my lady!*~

Kohana giggled as she fell back on the blankets of her bed, staring up at the ceiling, "I can't wait to discover the other beauties like you that may be in this city."

Koto yawned as he woke up from a pile of rectangular paper sheets. He had moved into a place just above the library building a day ago, so he could easily access the words he needed.

As of right now, he was sitting in a paper pile, in the table section of the library. The table he sat was overflowed with paper sheets that were written on, some still blank. An ink stone, ink stick, and a brush was hidden underneath the countless papers. Koto had spent the night experimenting with his power, finding out his limits.

The man stretched his arms to the ceiling, before laying his head back to the pile on the desk. But alas, he needed to take another nap for the day.

Stepping out of Burger King, I happily bit into a chicken nugget. Smiling, I walked back to my house, eating the fries that I had also brought.

"Yep, fast food is the best~ Especially McDonald's cookies ~"

Finally reaching my house, I took out my keys.

Upon opening the door, I realized that the oil from the fries had leaked through the bag.

"NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Quickly, I rushed to a wooden table with a glass cover, and dumped everything neatly out.

Assessing the damage, I sighed in relief. The fries didn't lose that much of their oil. Throwing the now empty bag out in a nearby trash can, I continued eating my dinner. Somewhat sad that fast food is dinner, but I don't mind. Ah ah~ I flopped down on my bed, messing up my long red hair.

"This is so boring....."

I continued to roll around and mess up my hair as I groan. Finally I gave in to the boredom and fell into a dreamless sleep.

Cian awoke to the sound of steady breathing, feeling the warmth of the air brush softly against his cheek. He slowly opened his eyes and for a moment seemed bewildered as Sakura was lying on top of him before changing into a flirtatious grin.

"Good morning~" He fake yawned, purposely leaning upwards and closing the already near distance between them. "Sleep well?" Cian asked, tilting his head to the side.

Skylar's eyes fluttered opened as he stretched, ridding himself of the sleepiness that remained from his sleep. Today he didn't have much work, so he thought he'd sleep until he woke without the ringing of his alarm clock. He sat up and looked around his apartment, which was small but cozy.

When he first landed in this realm, he wandered the streets aimlessly, hoping to find a kind soul that would help him. All he received were cold glances and endless humiliation. After about a year, he managed to find his way into this new city. In this city, he didn't feel so out of place. There were people whom he knew were similar to him in one way or another. They understood him and helped him more than the people from other places.

A friend gave him a place to stay until he could settle in. The friend managed to find a couple of job positions for Skylar. He worked day and night tirelessly until he got enough money to rent a small apartment. Now, Skylar has a job with a steady income in which he works over the thing called the internet on the rectangular machine.

He's still trying to figure out the human realm...

Skyler smiled fondly at the memory of how he struggled to climb to where he is now. If he was still living in the Heavens...

He shook the thought off and got up from his bed. It was a nice day out, so he should get out and take a walk.

After getting dressed, he walked out of his apartment and locked the door before stepping onto the streets.

It's going to be a great day, Skylar thought, staring up at the cloudless blue sky.

Sakura quickly moved herself off of shou and sat near the end of the bed "ye..yes I did" slowly moving her hand towards a pillow she throw it at his face "what the hell are you doing in the same bed as me! Her face blushed and she she swiftly rolled off the bed. She missed the floor and fell to her butt, "awe" she winded, belle came flying down beside her, she studies Sakura without saying a word, Belle stood up and gestured her hand towards Sakura. She reached up and got off the floor "well my little sis we've got long train ride to our home, so we must get going"

Shou's hands twitched to catch the incoming pillow but decided against it. He laughed into the soft fabric, moving it to the side before getting out of bed. "My room, my bed" Shou answered, stretching his hands over his heads. He reached for a small remote with only one red button and pushed it causing the blinds to open. Immediately the glass walls on the left side of the room opened; revealing the sun, clear skies, and sprawling city. "Alright alright I think I'm awake now" He sighed, running a hand through his perfectly messy white hair "Ah before you leave, you know how to get to the train station right?".

Sakura couldn't help but let out a little giggled, "we'll excuse me for not knowing my way around your place, it's a bed so I took it" she watched as the blinds opened, and was amazed at how beautiful the city looked liked from way up here. "God I wish I could own a place like this come day! She signed and looked at belle and smiled. "Oh right the train station... yeah I really have no clue where anything is in this town" she giggled nervously as she moved a hand to her head.

Apple gently folded her reference book. Clear and sunny, her kind of weather. She walked over to a fast food restaurant. " Water will be fine, oh with a lemon wedge." They gave it to her. The lemon made the water the right kind of sour. I guess I'll head back to the apartments, she thought as she walked down the busy down town.

Picking up another book from the recommended section, I opened it only to find another sickeningly sweet love story. Sighing, I closed the book and placed it back on its shelf.

"Beep-beep Beep-beep"

"Huh?"

Realizing that the noise was coming from my watch, I checked the time and noticed that I needed to get to new part-time job. Opening the map I printed out yesterday, I walked downtown. Suddenly, I saw a girl with beautiful blueish-purplish hair. A smirk graced my lips.

"Hey hey, the little miss with light blue-purple hair, do you mind if I ask you a question?~"

Well, I actually did need to ask her a question. It appears I've gotten lost. And there's so many people around too....

Sheepishly I rubbed the back of my neck.

I really hope she answers, since I actually need to find out where I am.....Ah, she probably just thinks I'm a flirty guy though...

As Skylar walked, he came across the library and decided to enter. Though he hasn't had much chances to read them, he found human literature to be quite different from what the angels have. Of course, they were intriguing nonetheless. They were a method that he used to further understand what goes on in a person's mind.

Skylar went from aisle to aisle before finding a small read. He looked around, but most seats were occupied. The only chair left was at a table covered with paper with a young man sitting at the other side. With no other place to sit, he went to the table and made himself comfortable. Of course, it'd be more comfortable if he actually had space to put his book down. Despite this, he started reading the book, but gradually found himself curious in what the man was doing.

"Excuse me, but... What are you doing with all those paper?" Skylar asked, trying to sound as friendly as possible.

Koto stirred as a boyish voice cut through his peaceful napping zone. His eyes remained closed as he lifted up his head and crossed his arms on the table, resting his chin on his arms. It took him a minute to peek open a sleepy eye towards the voice, "What was that..?" The man yawned and opened his other eye, blinking in a slow and drowsy manner.

"Ah, sorry to disturb your slumber but," Skylar eyed the paper with interest. "I was wondering if you can tell me about... Your work?"

"Hm..?" Koto slowly sat up, leaning his back on the chair. He stretched his arms into the air as he let out another yawn, speaking at the same time, "My work? Oh..this." He sighed as he finished stretching and rubbed his eyes, "I was writing down a few words, ah.." He noticed the boy held the book.

"My apologies..." Koto reached over the table, standing up from his chair as he started to move the paper slips into a pile on his side.

"It's alright," Skylar said, placing his book down. Writing down a few words, huh...

He tilted his head to the side as though contemplating, before deciding to use his powers. Perhaps it's taking advantage of his power to see the truth and poking into other people's privacy, but Skylar never seemed to see an issue in looking into people's "truths". But that was only because he was still fairly new to the human realm, and didn't quite understand the fact that humans have a need for privacy.

"Hm..." he hummed after several seconds. "That's a really nice power you have."

"Theres plenty of empty rooms here" Shou pointed out and it was true. There were five guest rooms that had barely been used and of course plenty of space for others. "No worries I'll show you guys around since..." He trailed off looking at the time "Its only nine in the morning and the train to Lavender Road doesn't leave til two". He shrugged his shirt off and crossed the room towards a near-by chair. Shou grabbed the shirt that was draped over it and shoved it on. "Feel like having breakfast here or out?"

Koto looked up at the boy, blinking. He thought for a moment before shrugging, "If you say so, but thank you for the compliment." He sat back in his seat as he finished piling the papers. He started to organize the blank papers and inked papers, "How did you know anyway? Are you a prophecy spirit?"

"Thanks for the food."

Kimura placed the empty bowl on the counter, a smile on his face as he handed the money over, then stood up from his seat. His eyes then landed on the customer who sat next to him. "Thanks for the food too."

"Thanks for the...WHAT." Although the customer sounded fairly confused at first toward the sudden words spoken by the stranger, a loud gasp escaped his mouth as he realized that the ramen in his own bowl had disappeared when he was not watching. Knowing who had eaten it, he was about to grab at the young youkai before noticing that Kimura had long sneaked away from the scene.

Kimura chuckled from a distance then, a satisfied smile on his face as he took quite a long look at the ramen shop. It's nice that he got to eat ramen here in the city, for it reminded him of his old village.

"Where should I go next now..." He said to himself quietly as he studied his surroundings. Although it's not like he just arrived, it's not like he had seen everything about this city. Kimura was in fact quite new, still having much to explore.

Suddenly, a familiar, nice smell entered his nostrils, and Kimura blinked for a moment before his smile widened.

Coffee.

Is somebody selling coffee?

Following the smell, Kimura turned toward his side to find an old man making coffee, and handing them out for free. Wondering why would somebody be handing out random coffee, Kimura's eyes landed on the large building next to him.

Ah, the library.

Handing out coffee to those who wants to relax while reading a book...Huh.

This city wasn't bad after all.

Knowing that he hasn't been to a library yet, Kimura accepted the free cup of coffee before entering the door. Looking at the shelves of books, Kimura's eyes softened as he walked through the rows, randomly finding a book of his interest then looking for.a nice place to sit and read, while sipping the delicious coffee with its wonderful smell.

"Well I mean if you don't mind us staying here for a bit, then I guess we could, this beats the rusty old shack we were headed for" Sakura smiled back at Shou. She looked at Belle who's face was lite up with the brightest smile that Sakura had ever seen on her sisters face. "As for breakfast, we should go out. my treat" Sakura grabbed her suitcase and went to find a bathroom. A few moment later she came back and was in a short purple flower skirt and a white blouses. "Shall we get going then" Sakura smiled brightly

Skylar smiled and shook his head. "Not exactly... But I have the ability to see the truth in people. By the way, my name is Skylar."

Koto nodded, "That's an interesting power." He sighed as there seemed to be no end of the paper slips.

Not wanting to meddle around with a task that could be done quickly, he searched underneath the large paper pile. The man quickly grabbed his brush and dipped it in ink as soon as he found it, writing a single word on a slip of blank paper.

He gently blew on the ink, making it dry a bit faster and placed the slip on the surface of the desk. Almost immediately, the blank and written paper slips flew themselves into two separate piles. His writing material also aligned themselves next to each other in a neat size-order fashion. Two piles of neatly stacked paper slips ended as the result.

The man smiled as the paper slip with the word 'organize' flew itself onto the pile with written slips. "There we go. All done." He looked at Skylar, "You can call me Koto."

Apple stopped to face the tall guy with black hair that seemed to possibly have a red tint to it. She gave him a quick up and down then looked around to see if he was greeting anyone else but no one else seemed to be paying attention. She sighed, "Yes, but make your question to the point as possible." Apple's wings, though all this time have been folded in a relax state twitched a bit from under her long hair.

Kakun

Snapping to full attention, an odd looking female was talking to him. A bird was tweeting on the top of her black beanie, which was apparently named, Love.

Blinking a few times, he looked down at the floor, his grip tighter against the swings.

"I like playing on the swings, I guess. I'm not sure it's a pleasure to meet you, Kakun but you can call me Jackson." He replied, his head still down.

@iAmGypsyDanger

Kimura looked around the library around--there's more people than he expected. However, it was still really peaceful.

He smiled, satisfied with the surroundings. The only thing he wasn't really pleased about is the number of books that had been randomly thrown onto the floor by some children, who were too lazy to put them back to the shelves.

Where are the librarians?

If his hands are free, he would have picked them up and put them back to place. Kimura sighed, carefully walking around the books to make sure he didn't trip.

Just as he felt that he was careful enough, he walked towards a table just in time to be tripped by a gigantic text book on the floor. Falling forward, he barely maintained his balance as the book in his hand fell to the floor. Kimura laughed dryly to himself as he went over to pick it up.

It was then he realized that his coffee has also disappeared from his hand that he raised an eyebrow, then looked in front of him, where a young man sat, with another man also at the same table.

"Ah...! My apologies!" Noticing that he had spilled his coffee on someone else, Kimura let out a short gasp. His gaze moved to the table, where some paper works were placed. At least the papers' safe...He thought.
