"So you're humbled for once since you know the risk. I don't think our Lord will count this as a failure. He sent guards to us for assistance, but he knows that ordinary guards are distractions at best to that huge group. There are 5 unaccounted newcomers to their group."

He walked up to the door. "Of course we both know how unpredictable our Lord is. If he counts it, it won't bode well for us."
Arabelle turned her head to face Ari and threw her arms around him. "I was so worried about you!" she cried, hugging him as hard as she could.

[QUOTE="Paint The Wind]Arabelle wiped her nose quickly as she didn't have tear ducts. "M-My name is Arabelle Leighten." she said softly with a sad expression on her face. She was so afraid everyone had died.
Arabelle hugged the fluffy wolf and tried to calm herself down.

"Arabelle Leighten.." Father Bishop said. "That is a very nice name. I can see that you are worried about your friends. I would be too if I were in your position. But I can assure you that they are fine." Father Bishop brought up a chair and sat next to the bed.

"You have a visitor, Arabelle." Bishop said, looking at Ari. "I will be upstairs if you need anything. I need to talk to your bafoon of a friend, Tyr."

Cross and Ciri entered the Church.

Cross wiped a tear off his daughters face. "I'll be back Ciri. I've gotta talk to the others."

Cross walked down to where everyone was. And noticed that Arabelle wasn't present.

"Is Arabelle ok?"

As Father Bishop walked back up the stairs, he grabbed both Tyr and Bailey by the ears and pulled them into the kitchen.

"Ow ow ow ow ow." Tyr said, as Bishop tugged him by the ear.

"Sit down and be quiet." Father bishop told them, with the sternness of a grandfather. "I need to have a little chat with the two of you."

Sepentireon let out a shaky sigh and stepped in. As he approached Alreos, he began visibly trembling as he kneeled to touch the floor

"My... Lord... I..."

He could not finish.
Alreos rose, staff in hand. His eyes were narrowed. "You have failed me." He hit Serpentirion with his staff. "I gave you another chance and you failed."

"My lord," Khan started. "If I may, I feel it would be counter productive if we were to kill these two. Perhaps his Majesty would like it if I, his adviser were to negotiate the terms of their failure?"

Shit, Ethan thought as he knelt. He bothered not to speak. It'd make things worse. There was no way they could win. Too many unaccounted factors. It was a 5:1 ratio! Khan saw it himself

"Very well." Alreos said coldly, returning to his throne and glaring.

Arabelle began to cry harder. "I'm sorry that I have caused so much strife and pain." She let go of him. "I don't want any of you do get hurt." She couldn't do what she wanted most, to kiss him.

"Why me?!" Bailey asked, rubbing her ear. "I thought the father-in-law was supposed to like the wife."
Father Bishop's eyes narrowed, and looked back at Tyr. "Fifteen years, and not a single visit! But then, one day a wounded little boy arrives on my doorstep, and then I get a note saying that he is your son?! Not only did you never tell me that you re-married, but that you had another child?!"

"Look, it's not like that, Father! I was-" Tyr said, before getting hit on the knuckles with a wooden spoon. "Ow! What the hell?!" Tyr said before receiving another smack on the knuckles.

"What have I told you about cursing when there are children in this church?" Father Bishop said with an angry glare.

Kathrine shifted back to her human form and walked over and put her hand on her shoulder. "I'm okay Arabelle. We're all in this together, it's not your fault"

"Look! It's not your fault. It was our free will that got us here, not you. If either you or Elaina die, it's not happening unless I die first. We're in too deep now." He put his hand on her other shoulder. "If we make it out of this, no more hero work. We'll settle our asses down with a second dose of wealth."

(Gonna be random for a sec)

Sakaga woke up from her nap, she wasnt used to nightmares. She growled, getting up and shaking her head to get the dizziness away. She huffed and moved her chains. She had been thinking for a while now, and she had an idea. She stood up on her back legs and started thrusting her weight forward. She repeated this many times, after all she weight a lot. The wood had grown more soggy and heavy in the damp dungeon, adding to her weight. She hissed in irritation and pain as she kept jerking her arms back but she wanted out. She rose again and thrust herself forward, and purred as she heard the chain of her right arm snap. She started pulling at the chain around her left arm, doing the same as before and it took a lot of tries again but it snapped. She started pulling hard at the chains at her legs, tugging and yanking. Again, this took a long time but she got one out, then the other. Finally the collar. This took the longest, the chain wouldnt snap but whatever held it into the wall gave way and she roared. All that took a lot out of her, she huffed and she puffed. Her stomach growled and after the strain she put on her muscles that hadnt been strained in a while ached. But she wanted out. She began to walk, sluggishly, but making her way to the place she always saw the evil man enter and leave from.

Cross slipped past the Arguing group. Heading downstairs to find Ari and Arabelle.

"Hey guys sorry for disappearing on you. I had some... Business to take care of."

Bailey stifled a laugh, then went back to being serious. "Excuse me father, but, you do know who that little girl Alex has been playing with is, right?" She asked.

Ari looked up at Cross. "What happened to that bit about no helping heroes?"

Cross glared at Ari. "I can look at you guys and tell you ain't heroes. Your just like me. You might be fighting for the side of good but your reasoning isn't exactly heroic.

"And I can only presume that this is your wife." Father Bishop said, looking at Bailey. "How can you marry this imbecile?! I raised him myself for sixteen years, and he still acts like this."

"Come on, pops. Don't be like this." Tyr said, getting a little embarrassed at what was happening.

"I shall act the way that I see fit, and I believe that acting angry at the fact that you dropped your five year old son off at my doorstep without any warning, and then bringing in your wounded friends a week later!" Father Bishop yelled at the bard. He turned around and stirred a pot of bubbling soup. He let out a large sigh. "Go on. Supper will be ready soon. And please if you are going to fornicate with each other, please keep it down."

"In a chruch? Wow, ya'll just dont care huh?" Vayne asked, only hearing the last part of what Bishop said. "I smelled food, whats cookin'?"

"He saved my life, that's how I could marry him. Besides, you let Alex go to the graveyard! He's five, he could've been hurt! Thank god Annabelle was with him," Bailey said, pointing at the priest, going full mom mode.

Sepentireon gasped as he was hit by the staff, and followed Khan. Something was very different about him however, it seemed he was in a catatonic state as he muttered under his breath

"I... I failed him."

"Oh, shut up." Khan snapped, his calm and happy demeanor gone. "How may were there?"
