Realistic or Modern The Retired Character's Club- RP

(Characters go here)
The Retired Character’s Club- where a nation’s creations come for relaxation

The day could not be any more pleasant. A gentle simulated fall wind blew through the bustling bright city. It was late evening, the gorgeous orange sun just beginning to sink below the tall buildings. The light reflected off of the clean glass windows. It was a scene of utmost peace and tranquility, but also of opportunity. For you see, this town was made for your type, the forgotten, the abandoned, the happily or sadly retired. This is your home now.

The Club itself sat in the middle of the town, the cars on the side streets and avenues often gazing at its marvels. The club had a comfortable gothic style to it, one that made it stick out. The colors of the buildings made it welcoming, and even by its overwhelming size, it was a true gem. There were two main entrances to it: one off of Valentine Avenue, and one off of Markus street. Both named, of course, for former characters that the city may give its founding to. Perhaps.

As they pull in to the lot, they will find rather friendly valets to offer to park their vehicles, whatever they may be. There has been no shortage of the unusual, so there are all sorts of accommodations. And the vehicles may be taken at any time to go out on the town, or to brag to other guests. The parking lots lead up to a brass elevator, rather ornate as well, and entirely safe. There are two buttons, leading up to the main floor.

The lobby is an interesting place indeed. One may sign in here, ask for a job (as we are always hiring), and perhaps get any information you so choose. We try to cater to the requests of our guests, and as this place has been open for some time, we have ample experience with the needs of those we service.

5c18b2bb6a197335f156f101149abc56.jpg
Off of the lobby is an expansive bar, fitted with millions of drinks and combinations, anything to suit the needs of the guests. But the room is purposefully designed to help discussions occur between guests, as our bartenders are all automated! They only know so many words, as we encourage guests to meet with our guests and talk.

One may also choose to enjoy nearly as many food options as drinks, as we have master chefs that also are former characters. If you so choose to get a steak, or a burger made from the meat of rare space entity, we are there for you.

But there are other social aspects as well! We have, for your enjoyment, a target range, a sports center, a reading center, a pool, a sparring center, a video games den, and much more. We accept so many different characters, and it is always best for us to cater to the needs of so many different guests. We need not accept humans as well, so we have incorporated forest settings, space settings, and most certainly inferno settings if you so choose to enjoy that! But for everything we cannot offer, the city itself fills. There are opportunities to shop, to dance, anything your heart desires!

Lastly, dear guest, we have a few rules that we expect you all to follow. Most importantly, we do expect politeness to all staff. Anything that is unkind to the hosts may result in punishment. Additionally, however, asking our staff for anything is certainly allowed! We do love our guests so very much. Secondly, there is to be no terrible and bellicose disruptive behavior. The place is for all, not just yourself, and you will certainly be punished. But respect is the most important part of this club, as well as courtesy. Fight in the fighting areas, sport in the sporting areas, and there shall be no problems.

If there are any special accommodations needed to be met, we are quite flexible to ensure your enjoyment! We do hope you enjoy your stay.

James sits in a corner booth with a energy drink and sips it trying to figure out how the he'll he got here. Sighing he reaches down,on the seat next to,him and scratches ices head getting her to purr at the sensations of the scratching. James continues to scratch her head as he leans back beginning to hum a song.

Dave sat at the bar. The joint was pretty good. Heck, it probably rivaled Jed's place.
He sipped his coke and relaxed.
Well, if he was gonna be stuck in this place forever, he might as well enjoy himself. There seemed to be a lot of poor souls around here. Well, sucks to be them.
And him. But whatever. There was entertainment around. He'd be fine here.
Hopefully.

A server with no name made his way out from seemingly unknown places, carrying a tray of food. He first approached the man at the bar, offering the silver platter of food to him. "Would you like some Stuffed Crab?" the man asked in an elegant voice, offering the food. He tried his best to look pleasant, but he knew that perhaps many of the souls here were lost and abandoned. "Or would you know if perhaps your friend would like some?" he said, motioning to the other male sitting in the booth alone.

David glanced over his shoulder as the man addressed him. When the server motioned, he followed it to a man sitting in a corner. He perked up when the man asked if he would like to give the stuffed crab to his "friend" instead. He'd never met the man. He smiled at the server.
"Well, I'm not into having stuffed crab right now. But I have no idea if the man in that booth, who I have never met, would feel the same way. So, uh, he may be worth a shot." He put special emphasis on the "never." He sipped his coke and turned away from the server.

James perks up when he hears the server mention food and he chuckles a bit as Ice nuzzels his leg trying to get him to accept. "Ummm I would love some stuffed crab." He smiles and rubs the back of his head while makeing sure ice doesn't get close to his drink.

Jordan frowned as she ever so slowly walked into the building. Whoa. Her eyes lightened up as she admired the room and slowly walked around continuing to bask in the sights of the room. Without watching, her foot got caught on a table leg and next she knew, she was falling face first onto the floor. Groaning she sat up and sighed. What a wonderful and dramatic entrance.

Walter pushed the door open. His first thought was "Wow". The place was stunning. The lights really made it stand out. He did look a little off though. It wasn't every day you see some country boy walk into a city club. He tilted his hat to a few people as they looked at him, a few were girls that seemed to be looking him over. It wasn't an unusual thing for him, but he wasn't into city girls. Walter walked over to the bar and sat at a stool. "I'll take a beer for now" he said as he looked over the rest of the club.

Anais Fiennes
Location: Valentine Avenue > Club Lobby
Interaction: Jordan ( Peach Tea Peach Tea )

Anais pulled up to the front of the Club from the Valentine Avenue in her nondescript black sedan with a frown evident on her face. Her eyes darted to the message a little bird had sent her. "Check this place out." This? She stared up at the majestic building and shook her head. If she doubted him for a second, she'd have driven away already, but alas, here she was driving into the lot and pulling over for the valet. As she stepped out of her car, she couldn't help the way her jaw dropped. Christ, just how did Q even know of this place? It's completely different from the places he had told her to check out.

Shaking her head again, she handed her keys to one of the valets with a polite smile before heading off to the entrance. Even the elevator was fancy, the redhead mused to herself as she moved over to the side as other people got into the elevator as well. Upon arriving at the lobby, Anais raised an eyebrow at the sight. She'll have to really grill the little bird later for details.

While making a beeline towards the bar, she noticed someone falling to the floor out of the corner of her eye, and immediately turned to them instead. Upon reaching Jordan, she was already sitting up, but Anais couldn't help but ask, voice tinged with concern, "Are you alright? Let me help you up." She held her hand out to Jordan.

(I went a little overboard with the introduction srry)

David realized he needed something entertaining, besides harboring deep thoughts. He finished off his coke before looking around, confused. He realized it would be impolite to leave it on the counter like he did at Jed's, but, well, there really wasn't an alternative. So he slammed his hand down against the counter, crushing the can. He put what was left of it in his pocket before stepping out and heading towards the lobby to ask what they had available to entertain. As he entered, he saw one woman helping another up, btu ignored them, heading straight for the front desk.

Hall Kervean Hall Kervean

At the front desk, an automated humanoid-looking robot whirred his way to greet him, being sure to arrive to the table before he did. "Hello," it said in a pleasant artificial voice, "How may I be of service to you? I may fill you in on any information relating to," the robot changed its pitch "events, directions to town, reservations for sparring. How may I assist you?" The bot had a rather idiotic yet honest gaze on it, hoping to service the clientele as best as it was programmed to.

David sighed, before smiling and leaning against the front desk.
"Yeah, howdy. Good... morning, I think. Anyways, where's the shooting range at?" Realizing that might not suffice, he rephrased it. "Or, more specifically, how do I get there?"

Makoto was unsure how he had come to be here or even where he was. He looked to his right as Shadow, his five-month-old black labrador, nudged his hand from where he sat in his white Shelby GT 500 Ford Mustang that had a couple blue stripes on it. The town was strange and so was the building but he grabbed his bag and Shadow's leash in one hand before opening the door and stepping outside into the sunlight. Now the question was...where did he go from here?

Jacolm was shocked as he woke up in a bed, the small creator cuddling him closely. She isnt important now, he she's a five foot one woman who needed a man to cuddle for one to bed. He got put of bed, waking up the creator.
"Excuse me, who the hell are you?"
Jacolm asked her, sitting up. The Creator backed away, blushing at his words.
"We-Well I found a way to bring you into real life..."
"You mean I wasn't before?"
The two fell awkwardly silent. Claire broke the ice between to two.
"Something told me if you forget things created by your imagination, they suffer. I wanted to bring you back."
The creator tried to explain herself. Jacolm thought to himself, r3alizing msny things.
"Does that mean youre responsible for the death of my closest family?"
The Creator couldnt respond sniffling a little. Crying, even. Jacolm got up, strsightening his clothing and preparing to leave. Creator almost yelled at him.
"You cant go! Y-Youll be erased."
"It's better than having sex with a fucked up god."
The Creator gasped at his response, watching him leave the room. The naked woman hurried after remembering something. That retirement home. Just in case Jacolm didnt accept her.

The Creator told Jacolm about it and he thought for a short while. Agreeing to go, the special taxi pulles infront of the house.

Jacolm took everything he wanted to bring the Creator watching the man leace with tears of guilt in her eyes. Jacolm didnt look back as the taxi pulled out of the Driveway, taking him to the Old Character retirement home.

Once the man arrived he stepped out, noticeable to almost anyone looking at the Markus Road side entrance. Jacolmn asmired the construction. It was elegant and beautiful... not comparsble to the colleseum. Carrying his bags he goes up to the doors, the worker holsing the door for the man. Jacolm was polite, thanking any help. After being led to his room he threw his bags on yhe bed, marveling at all the technology! Messing with the Television, computer, microwave... It was cool.

He took a map of the place and went doen to the bar to try and make friends. He sae interesting people there. A woman who shared a lot of appearance to a cat. What most would call a furry. He saw a walking pony too, oddly colorful. And weirdly shaped, really toony.

Taking a seat up to the robot server and next to the duo of men. Jacolm laughed at the somewhat cute robots, even if they did scare him a bit.
"I'm not sure how I really feel about going much anywhere. Just make me Spanish Rice and Chicken, please. Don't be afraid to sauce the helloutta it. With a tall glass of water."
Jacolm said, laughing a little before ordering his food. He turned over to David, wondering a little more than where the shooting range was at.
"Excuse me, but what even is a shooting range? Unless it's the same as an Archery Range, for training, I don't know what you're talking about."

Dave turned slowly towards the man addressing him. He could tell it was a man, because otherwise it was a female smoker. He was surprised to be straining his neck to look at a man that was probably a foot and a half, two feet taller than he was. He realized it was awkward to just stare at the man's height, so he gave him a pleasant smile.
"Like an archery range, yeah. But with guns. I figure, this place has already got some... interesting things, so their guns may be a bit more advanced than they projectile-based weapons I'm used to." In the back of his mind, thought he would never admit it, he was hoping for laser rifles.
He didn't actually have laser-based weaponry where he'd come from. It'd all been what could be scrounged up from the wasteland or that could be manufactured in Journey's End. Oh, sure, they were testing it, but that was for the corporate guardians and agents, not the commoners or the hunters. And when the entire city suddenly shut down while he was asleep one night, leaving nothing but a few animals and whatever stuff was left behind, well, he was a bit busy trying to survive than to get laser weapons.
Well, no matter. Lasers would be fun.

Jacolm nodded, not caring about the man's height. He rubbed his beard, thinking about what else he talked about.
"So... basically cannons but much smaller. Sounds convienent."
He admitted, giving a smile. He thought back to the longbow he had in his room. It was a few feet tall, made with a tough alloy that could stand long draws, just as the string could do. It was tailored for Jacolm, as his size went almost perfectly with the weapon.
"Where I come from we didn't have anything like that, except for hand cannons that hurt your wrists. If I came from anywhere, that is..."
The man paused for a while, noticing his food arrived. It gave him conversation. "That was the last meal I remember. Also my favorite. It'll keep me intact mentall 'till I can figure out what the hell is going on, y'know?"
He laugghed taking some of the chicken with his hands ignoring the heat. Taking a bite.
"You wanna compare advanced weaponry to my old stuff later?"

Dave half nodded when the man mentioned they were similar to small cannons, before stopping.
No one had compared them to small cannons before. That would be more like muskets, not really the submachine gun or pistol he had in his possession. The man had continued talking, Dave realized, and he zoned back in just as the man stopped. Mentally, he kicked himself. If he asked a question that was relevant to what he'd been saying, he would have to admit he hadn't been paying attention. The man's food had arrived, and Dave was openly surprised at how many sauces and spices were on the... whatever was under the liquid on the plate.
"hat was the last meal I remember. Also my favorite. It'll keep me intact mentall 'till I can figure out what the hell is going on, y'know?" The man said, snorting. Dave nodded quickly. He wasn't sure how he'd gotten here, either. But he figured he might as well enjoy himself while he could.
The man laughed and took a huge bite out of the presumably meat.
"You wanna compare advanced weaponry to my old stuff later?" He asked, through a mouthful of meat and sauce. David smirked.
"Advanced is relative. My weapons are basic to me, but advanced to you. Ten bucks says you have something cool that's advanced to me, but old to you." With that, he pulled out an FN Five-seveN from underneath his trenchcoat and put it on the counter. He crossed his fingers, hoping having a firearm resting on the counter wasn't against the rules of the establishment.

Jacolm didn't really care if Dave wasn't paying attention. If he was talking with some guy from ancient times, he'd be bored as hell too. When he proposed the bet, he was surprised. How would he be able to beat something like that? He thought of it.
"Hm... That sounds like quite the challenge! But I have an idea. It's more or less the principle of the stuff that could be advanced. Lemme finish my food and I'll get my weaponry."
Jacolm said, admiring the fire arm plenty as it rested on the counter.
"Where's the fuse on it? And how do you exactly fire it?"
He asked, clueless as to how it worked. He continued eating, the secondary task keeping him paying attention.

Current Location: Lobby

'The valet, the butlers, the posh looking halls and rooms. Heck, the toilets even have bidets!' Micheal thought while entering the main floor. He wore his long hair in a ponytail and adjusted the nice pair of shades he had to wear since he was a well known icon, 'Wouldn't want to start a ruckus, I am famous after all :,^).'

Making his way to a cozy corner seat, he decided to scope out the other bodies present in the same room; everyone seemed to be off in their own world for the most part. His eyes strayed towards two girls by the entrance, and Micheal being much more comfortable around girls than guys decided that he should go introduce himself. As he got up from his seat and weaved over to the two, "Good afterno-" He stopped a few steps, his pupils dilated and his eyes got a bit foggy; he was getting a vision.

There stood one of the girls near the bar as they got splashed by some sort of alcohol

Dave smirked at Jacolm's ignorance. He knew he could give totally false information, but luckily for the man, he didn't particularly want to.
"Well, first, let me check to see that it's unloaded." He popped the clip out and saw that it was full. He grinned up at Jacolm. "Well, I'm glad I checked." He put the clip in his pocket before flipping the safety.
"The safety prevents the whole thing from firing." He pointed at the trigger. "This is what activates it. In this case, applying five pounds of pressure will set the whole thing off." He took a bullet out of the clip and showed the man. He wondered if Jacolm was surprised by the size of it, but he doubted it. He showed him the back.
"This itty bitty thing on the back sets off the gunpowder. Struck with enough force, it'll launch the bullet out of the gun. The casing..." He rubbed his fingers around the case. "...doesn't go with it. It's junk after the bullet's been fired." He returned the bullet to the clip and pointed out the hammer.
"Now, this little doo-hicky works the magic. When the trigger's pulled, this hammer here strikes the back of the bullet, launching it out. There's no fuse." He pulled the trigger at the counter, but since it was empty, all that was heard was a loud *clack*.
"And that's how the FN Five-seveN fires its rounds."

  • The sound of footsteps alerted Makoto's attention and a valet walked towards him, Shadow romping about his feet and getting in his owner's way. Once having delivered his keys into the valet's hand to put his car away, he walked Shadow around outside so the pup could go to the bathroom and then walked over to a brass elevator. Studying it, he pressed the up button and the doors dinged automatically before sliding open and allowing him to enter. Leading Shadow inside the elevator, he turned and decided to head for the lounge first so he could perhaps get some information about where he was. The lobby was large with comfortable chairs, couches and tables, there were floor lamps and lights on the columns and a small room off the lobby that seemed to be part of it with a front desk as he stepped into it after the elevator arrived at the lobby, Shadow's claws clicking on the flooring as Makoto made his way to the front desk. "Excuse me," he called as he reached the front desk and saw a sign-in book lying open. Setting his bag on the floor, he picked up the pen and signed his name into the guestbook. The automated receptionist averted its gaze from the other guests made its way over to the newest guest. "Hello Makoto," it said in a pleasant tone, welcome to the Club. If you are in need of any assistance, do not hesitate to ask." The line was well rehearsed, programmed in a loop. The robot knew nothing else than what it had been told to do. It was rather odd, that as all the servers were automated, the host was nowhere to be found it was just a bunch of guests lingering, seemingly forgotten about. But this was on purpose. The host encouraged guests to meet guests, to fulfill whatever adventures they missed out on during their time of service.

  • Makoto blinked as instead of another human, an automatan...a robot...turned their attention towards him and greeted him by his first name. Had it looked down at the sign-in book to get his name? But he hadn't seen it looking at him until he had asked a question. Puzzled by this information, he only nodded. "Umm...thank you," he hedged uncertainly. "Do you happen to have a room...or information about where I am?" he questioned, unsure if this was a possiblity for the automated receptionist to have any phamphelts or anything on the town or club available for the guests.
