Oh there's no limit on how many you make, just a limit on how many are actually accepted to the rp, which is one per person. If you're feeling inspires for a few, go for it

i think i'm definitely making two aha,, already working on their sheets ooops

Yep you're all good

And damn look at you go

I'm gonna have the CS and Lore up in around 30 minutes if all goes well <3

Ahh I'm so excited!!

Fantasy - The Reach | Lore Okay, here's the lore! Lengthier than I intended I'm so sorry 🥺 Honestly the big important parts are just the magic sections, everything else is just overview for if you want to fit it in backstory and such! I'll take any questions you might have, feel free to post 'em here. The CS thread will be up in 10 minutes, about.

The hard minimum is 23 years old, and I'd prefer to keep characters under the age of 30 if possible! Just to keep them all within the same range. But if you want to have an older character, you can definitely do that

Fantastic, fantastic. Its a good question; the above 23 rules is because I want to avoid child and teenage prodigies in this case....let them get through school and possibly college before going into crime....

Danidify Danidify Beeze Beeze cadence cadence smolfluffball smolfluffball lion. lion. silentthunder silentthunder Alright! Character page is up! I think thats all the tags for people who were interested, but I'll be putting the link in the top of this thread, the lore thread, and in the interest check

This game is based on a fantasy setting grown up to a modern one, yes?

I suppose my question is: are humans the only race or can we expect to see Elvin lawyers and Hobbit baristas?

lovely wife,,,, do you have a date you want sheets?
No set date yet! I'll update you if it changes.

While it's a fantasy setting grown to be a modern one, alas there will be only humans. I thought about expanding it further with different races but decided that keeping it simple would likely work better

What does religion look like in this setting?

On a related question, in what way is clerical true magic the most dangerous? Does it act out by creating disease or injury if not used/used improperly?

So religion isn't TOO in depth for this setting but the basics of it are that before true magic was outlawed, there was believed to be a pantheon of gods/goddesses, one for each type of magic (more specific details can be given upon request, just trying to be brief for the moment hah). Then, after magic was outlawed, the country saw a shift from the pantheon to a single god religion. There are other religions of course but the majority of people follow either of those two, with the former being not outright illegal but used in cases against magic users as evidence of possible magic use.

Yes! So, basically, all true magic is dangerous in some way. Pyromancy, for example, doesn't make the user fire proof, and by extension the user cannot make specific things fireproof unless extremely talented, meaning that if not controlled properly it could hurt them and others due to spreading. Clerical magic is considered the most dangerous due to the sheer number of people it can hurt with a single mistake or misuse; in simple cases it can warp injuries instead of heal them, and in more complex and serious situations it can form a new disease, which depending on the specifics of it could potentially hurt many, many people. Feasibly the damages of other magics can be more contained or hurt less people, but the damages of clerical are harder to fix and track and usually end up hurting more. The use of clerical magic in unsavory ways is part of the reason magic was banned in the first place.

Excellent. Think I'll try for the Wildcard slot then.

Question for everyone else then. I'm thinking of rolling up the first male character I've played in God knows how long and I'd love to partner up with someone for it. I'm thinking street urchin who grew up best friends with a kid from a mob-style family. They got into trouble and eventually into crime together, working for the crime family. My guy ended up dating and marrying his best friend's sister (still on the fence if she's going to survive the backstory or not). So I'm thinking late 20s, with years of experience at becoming pros.

And here's the question: Anyone up for playing the best friend? All I've got in mind for the concept is late 20s, male, member of the mob. Any of the roles could work for it, though the Conman or Muscle roles feel like especially good thematic fits.

Evening. I wanted to express interest in the conman role. If someone else is dead set on it I'd happily step aside and do something else, however. Don't want to step on any toes, especially as Im just randomly posting here, haha.
