Character Alignment: Lawful Evil
Bio: Valac was created around three and a half centuries ago by the goddess: Ayla, to act as a messenger. He delivered a message to a paladin, and then his link with the goddess was cut, depriving him of magical energy. He felt betrayed and desired revenge for being created and then abandoned like a useless toy. He fell asleep, dormant and vanishing. He was woken decades later, by a servant of Amos. The cultist fed the spirit mana, awakening it. The spirit and cultist conversed and the latter learned many things from the discussion, of philosophical and scientific nature. Being a teacher to the cultist, the spirit explained his origin. At that point, the cultist named him Valac, which was a combination of the words "Wrathful" and "Wisdom" in his language. Although an unsightly abbreviation of his personality, Valac accepted the name because it was the first time someone ever cared enough about him to do something as basic as give him a name.
The servant called Amadeus, with Valac's help, managed to create a ritual to the Abyss, where Amos was locked away. The spirit took a material form and knelt before the God of Evil, oathing to become an avatar of destruction and to embody the ideal of evil in the cosmic balance in exchange for vengeance and power. Amos agreed and had Valac write down a book, which was then, through deception, handed to the king of Ravinia and later placed in the Hall of Wisdom, where it would one day be found by Leon Valerian Forrester, starting the dark events that led the world down a path of chaos. Whilst he wrote the book, Valac upturned kingdoms, started rebellions, and converted whole countries into the worship of his lord. He tried to be the best and most loyal servant that he could, giving it all of his efforts.
However, as soon as the book was complete and the scheme has begun, Valac's connection to Amos was terminated and no one would not help. Valac was left with two hours left of magical energy, hours which he spent alone, cursing his fate of being abandoned again. Valac entered a torpid state, clinging to a nearby rock and remained asleep for almost a hundred years.- PHYSICAL
Appearance: Being a spiritual entity, Valac has no "regular" form. His physical appearance is moldable. In pure theory, if he had enough magical energy to create and maintain such a form, he could take on the body of a dragon, or an illithid, or a kraken. He can also possess the bodies of individuals, taking them for his own. He has several, favored forms, but usually takes on an elven or human disguise, typically an unnaturally beautiful and confident man or woman in pristine clothing. When it comes to a confrontation, he can turn into a large humanoid covered in black armor with dark smoke seething out of the holes in it.
Weapons & Armor: None, Valac does not fight, or uses magic when required to hurt someone. In case of an emergency, he can conjure weapons.

Skills & Abilities:
- Master Manipulator: Valac is skilled in manipulation. Standing as an advisor to kings in the past and using his wisdom to infiltrate kingdoms and nations, he can orchestrate events on a political level with a mixture of patience, wisdom, and charisma. His force of personality makes him magnetic, his lies are believable and practically undetectable, and his performance is on par with the greatest actors.
- Intellectual: Has a deep understanding of universal operations, biology, chemistry, alchemy, physics, magic, magical theory, planar science and arrangement, and other sciences related to the universe and its workings.
-- Magical Forging: Valac has extensive knowledge of smithing and can create magical equipment.
Spells & Magic: Valac, as a sorcerer and a spirit, has a very strong connection to magic. Performing an ordinary rote, like telekinetically pulling a book off a shelf, is as simple as thinking to him. He specializes in enchanting, illusion, conjuration, and evocation, but he has apt knowledge of the other schools of magic and their respective rituals. Below is a list of spells that he uses most often.
- Bewitching Voice: A minor enchantment that causes a subliminal attraction and awe effect in those nearby when speaking. It matters not what is said, as the user of the spell will affect everyone nearby who can hear and understand it and have their hearts lean toward what was said. It is not a mind trick, but rather a form of subliminal messaging that makes a person want to believe and agree with the caster more.
- Inspire Fear: With a gaze, a word, or other utterance, the victim is filled with dread. Those of moderate willpower will shudder and stay in place or flee, while even those who are high on spirits will likely hesitate to approach.
- Illusion: Creates illusions that can fool all five senses. These can be independent fata morgana or set pieces of a larger whole. It is possible to, with an apt source of mana, to create even whole illusory forests. As a sub-power, it is possible to agitate a victim's touch sense so much as to cause incredible agony.
- Hypnosis: By maintaining eye contact for some time and speaking, it is possible to create a hypnotic bond and compel certain behaviors in the target, mostly of subconscious or unconscious nature. It is possible to use this to create sleeper agents, remove or alter memories, interrogate, or transfer knowledge.
Weaknesses:
- Mana Reliant: Any method of extracting magical energy directly from his soul will be enough to put him down and lay him into dormancy, at which point he can be easily captured and locked up, or even destroyed permanently.
- Holy Energy: Although not to the extent of demons, Valac's soul has been scarred by the great darkness, possibly irreversibly. Therefore, he is slightly more vulnerable to attacks that carry the radiant touch with them.
- Trust Issues: Even despite trying his best, Valac has been betrayed time and time again. Due to this, he is and will forever be unwilling to truly become dependent on anything or anyone and will try to remove any such weaknesses and ties. He will also never allow himself to be truly ruled over by a supposed liege, as he believes it will lead only to betrayal and being stabbed in the back. He is removed and withdrawn emotionally and lacks compassion towards others, sternly believing that everyone is out for themselves, although he wishes it were otherwise.- FLUFF (Optional)

Bio: Ellie was the result of a human and Dragon marriage but unlike most Draconians Ellie never got to see the continent of Minegarde. She is a draconian born of Ravinia. And as such is considered an alien to the rest of her kind.
Ellies life in Ravinia was rather decent. Her father took care of her and was there to help her with learning Ice magic. But she never got to know her mother. It was nice but after so many years Ellies father passed due to old age leaving Ellie at the age of 60 alone. A big issue was Ellie at the time had the body of a 14 year old. She was considered a teenager by draconian standards. So humans often ended up reminding her of her long past father with questions as to why she was alone. But things were only spiraling downwards for her.
At 115 Valerian had come into power and like most non humans were hunted down by royals but Ellie was discovered by a bar owner and he cut her a deal. Be his slave or he would rat her out. And for the next while she had become the willing slave to avoid death. Until Valerian was toppled that is, Ellie was quick upon hearing the news voided the deal with the man impaling him using an icicle spear. She was free... for at least 5 years then Alreos happened.
Luckily for Ellie she managed to hide from Alreos using a group of smugglers. So that was avoided. And well for the next many years she lived peacefully

Chromatic Orb: A spell that has multiple forms of elemental damage, the first is the base element is Fire, but the rest are advanced elements that are tough to achieve. Acid, Poison, Lightning, Ice.
Snow globe: A defensive spell that creates an orb of thick ice. Mostly used for soaking up hits. Can take up to 5 fire spells. But from standard crossbows can withstand 150 shots.
Ice Wall: Can create a waist high Ice wall. Cannot last long but good improvised cover.
Weaknesses: Extremely protective of Cross and prone to bouts of Jealousy. In truth, she has lingering resentment for humans due to them allowing Valerian and Alreos to walk free. She has a hate for extreme heat as she can't use many of her powers in the heat.

Bio:
His father was a merchant, but during times when the roads were difficult, he was left in the care of some monks who taught him magic for his first eighteen years of life. That's when Alex's father began to teach him about being a merchant, especially traveling one. Many odd things could come along, but his father found one could make a surprisingly good living selling mundane yet necessary materials where they're needed. It also didn't hurt to hold some rare trinkets for the occasional mage or noble to make some extra coin. When Alex was in his mid twenties, his father retired back home and left the carriage and draft horses. Alex never learned magic beyond the basics and natural as he only uses it to get around safely. Alex tried learning healing magic once, but he doesn't really have much of a moral stance so he dropped it relatively fast. Instead he focused on the elements and how to mix and match them. He still wanders around selling his goods.

Orphaned at a young age, Zak was brought up by a group of sailors who took him in at the age of five. He was raised in that setting until the age of twelve where a ship's bodyguard had taken an interest to him. The man who took Zk in was an odd type, he had trained in martial arts as a child and was once part of a mercenary group. Zak was taught those very same martial arts and was taught how to use several different weapons proficiently. When Zak turned twenty three he began making a living as a bodyguard and escort for travelers as his caretaker took him on such journeys often, but now he was on his own. His last name was given to him because it sounded funny to his caretaker.

Bio:
Originally living an ordinary life, Lawrence was introduced to a monastery after his parents were murdered. He ended up having to cope with the death at seven and even witnessed the murder. It took the monks three years to reach him, ultimately with a shadow monk who said very little. Lawrence ended up acquiring a strong affinity for shadow magic through this rather odd monk. When he finally began to socialize more, Lawrence took a turn at the other magical affinities. He swiftly picked up fire and earth, but he could not become adept with water. Wind on the other hand had a rather easier nature. At age 13 Lawrence was adopted by a retired knight. This knight had a thaumaturgist wife who had saved him years ago. Lawrence was taught how to utilize magic by tapping into their meaning and using spells.
His foster father taught him how to use a weapon, but his foster mother taught him something that would ultimately change his whole life. Combination magic between the three elements changed how he operated entirely. With fire and earth being his strong suit, he mastered metal and ended up being able to utilize it. By age sixteen he had developed his own unique style of fighting. A gauntlet with gem slot he uses topaz in to make it easier to amplify his left arm with physical magic. He set out at this age and ended up becoming a mercenary. Through these years of his life, he acquired combat experience and through missions that required tough calls he developed a philosophy that was rather dark in nature. This lead to a breakthrough for him in shadow magic on making sacrifices.
This lead to him developing magic that focused on taking and sacrificing to work. Fire and lightning were now in a realm where he would sacrifice vitality and mental state for more power. This effect is temporary, but it earned him an alias: The Blood Talon as his mercenary name is Raven. At twenty three he ended up making a regretful decision during a job and it caused him to have a change of heart. What would his foster parents think of him? Those who had taken great care of him in just a few years. It was then he decided to try and be friendlier.
Weapons & Armor: A sword, his gauntlet which can turn into a clawed gauntlet using metal magic as a secondary weapon and defense.
Items & Personal Belongings: His gauntlet is one of his few things he considers precious. To him, there is no replacing his Talon.

Bio:
Her life was a relatively simple one. Her father was an herbalist and her mother ran a tavern. During the day it was an herbal shop, at night it was a tavern. They made a fairly decent living, and Fiona was a server. During such times she began to pick up on multiple information. Eventually she accidentally came across something she shouldn't have heard. This lead to the arrest of her parents and her on the run. She moved between taverns for a while, but the pay she received as a beastman in a human city wasn't paying her enough. She began using the information she gathered as a way to make extra money.
At first, she didn't discriminate between sides. She would sell out the guards or the underground should one pay more than the other. This swiftly lead her down a life of espionage to the point of becoming almost thief-like. That was until she had to make a tough choice. The underground wanted her and she was also wanted by the guards. She decided to do her time with the law out of fear for her own life. She did three years time incarcerated and decided to be careful about picking her targets.
She left the city and began moving around to search for new sources of income.

Items & Personal Belongings: Lockpicks, other stealth related tools like a grappling hook, and a small booklet on herbology from her father.

High Concept: A proper lady and a knight in all but name, Nelee lends her sword to causes she deems just. Her endless patience and courtesy belie her ambition and stubbornness.
Character Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Bio: Nelee Ragan was born as the only daughter of a minor Ravinian noble. Her parents were relatively old around the time of her birth, and had no great love for their daughter. This was a result of Nel's deformed left foot, rendering her unable to walk properly without a cane. Nel was largely raised by her nurse, Ena, whom she remains close to to this day. Under Ena's careful tutelage, Nel learned to read, write, navigate the courts, treat with other nobles, speak basic levels of several other languages, and play the harp. However, her father's few retainers piqued her interest far more. Ena was quickly persuaded to teach her fencing, which required a professional tutor and careful watch. The young woman learned an entirely new style of swordplay that focused on defensive stature, in order to compensate for her disability. Slowly, over time, fencing grew to longsword sparring, which grew to riding. Nel grew to love horses; they helped her to be free of her disability, and there were few days where she couldn't be found in the saddle. Though still a young lady-in-waiting in the eyes of most of Ravinia's upper crust, Lady Nel was a squire in all but name.
After the sudden deaths of her parents, both believed to be by natural causes in the same month, Nel realized she was the last of the Ragan lineage. She rejected the few suitors lined up to court the crippled girl, and instead set out with borrowed sword, borrowed armor, and her ever-faithful destrier to prove her worth as a professional mercenary. So far, she's had little luck.
PHYSICAL
Appearance: Nelee stands at an underwhelming 5'3", which, coupled with her severely deformed left foot, makes it rather difficult to climb into the saddle of a warhorse. Somehow, she manages it anyway. She has a thin, wiry build, and is deceptively strong and quick. Her hair is a light auburn color, her skin pale and sprayed with a faint scattering of freckles. Her eyes are a dark hazel; her gaze often appears distant and unfocused, which is in contrast to her noble bearing and constant sense of calm, focused poise.
Her horse is a black destrier by the name of Seeker.
Weapons & Armor:
Longsword - Nelee's primary weapon, a slender-bladed longsword. It is remarkably well balanced, and she keeps it razor-sharp. The pommel is chipped from being used to smash through a combatant's visor.
Dagger - A broad dagger, light and useful for throwing but also sturdy enough to make a suitable backup weapon if disarmed.
Armor - As she lacked a suit of her own, Nel's armor is a cobbled-together from various pieces in her family's stores. Her house's sigil, a black gull encircling a white sunburst, is stamped into the pauldrons.
Items & Personal Belongings:
Wood harp - a small harp, typically kept in a case in Nel's saddlebags.
Cane - a simple cane, carved of ash wood and rounded at the top to allow Nel to rest her hands on. Used whenever she isn't riding or fighting.
Skills & Abilities:
Swordsmanship - Nelee is an adept swordsman, and trains frequently to hone her craft.
Riding - Perhaps her greatest talent, Nel is a born rider and is perhaps one of the best judges of the qualities of a horse.
Diplomacy - Gifted with a silver tongue and ample training in higher society, Nel can navigate her way through many situations with persuasive abilities alone.
Spells & Magic: None as of now.
Weaknesses: Nel is not brave. Though skilled, she places her own survival above all else. Because of this, she can be rather selfish and overly ambitious, willing to let others fall so that she may rise. She masks this with her calming and polite nature.
On top of this, her disability is a constant reminder that she will never be as great as she could be. Any potential slip or stumble could mean the end of her life. This constant reminder is the source of perhaps her deepest-buried insecurity, that of her own self-image. It's also the source of her infinite stubbornness, as she refuses to give up her way of life even when she can barely walk (though whether or not this is a weakness is open to debate).

Bio: The coming of William is shrouded with mystery, but one record of him suggests that he was previously a light infantry serving under a minor king, but went AWOL after his king suffered a massive defeat in a small skirmishes with a rivaling feudal kingdom.
Finally breaking the silence, William emerged as a mercenary. What's peculiar about his warfare, however, is that he doesn't fight along side with his other band of company but instead tasked to raid enemy camps at night; slaughtering them in the dark.
