Vincent's Wanderings
Name: Mr. Vincent Hemmingwell
Status: A bit injured, but fine

Before he elevated a few floors, an unfamiliar woman approached Vincent. Her uniform and professional way of speaking says she's one of the staff, also since she was just at the counter. Vincent scanned the small card he gladly received from the woman before muttering his gratitude for the peak hospitality, already a bit lethargic. As she attends to another woman, Vincent decided to freshen up, as suits aren't his thing. He headed for his room.

~~~
Vincent wore much, much more casual clothing with just a red and white polo jacket, but still wearing the same black slacks, although he wore contrasting white shoes. He left his head injuries unattended, and something might possibly go wrong if continued. You know, he did check the time and knew it was unreasonable to dress up and look like he's ready to go somewhere, but he had other plans for the evening. Exploring the place, he wondered if any of the maids can tell him any of the directions of this place, or probably ask for map. He did just that. In the slightly cold lobby, Vincent walked towards the receptionist. Although, he did remember that the receptionist was not this robot.
"Eh hem, may I ask the facilities of this hotel? Or maybe a map in a flyer would help..." Vincent asked the receptionist.
Amara continued her exploring. She wanted to know every inch of the place before starting to work here. It was just one of her things.
She walked into the place where the pool was. So this is where she applied? Huh... Doesn't look too bad...
Virtual meetings with her hotel's financial supporters was always stressful especially since they're demons. Red ones at that. Fawna hurried to her room to take a quick shower. Her interview with Amara, the young seemingly strong werewolf, took place in fifteen minutes. Thankfully, Maid6736 followed behind her knowing she was on a time constraint. "The usually attire?" 6736 asked as it went through her closet, "Yes, thank you!!" Fawna practically yelled over the shower-head. 6736 removed a white button-down shirt from a hanger and her black blazer and matching slacks. After rinsing off the sweat the Red Demons caused her, she hopped out of the shower, put on her undergarments then business attire and rushed out of her room with her hair wet. Mr. Vincent, the darling, kindly asked for a map of the hotel and Fawna looked at Maid6736 painstakingly and the robotic maid nodded her head in return. Maid6736 dutifully went to retrieve Mr. Vincent a brochure containing the map meanwhile Fawna stood in the lobby where she last saw Amara.
Amanda realized how long she'd been in her room, she changed, and came down to the lobby. She could see Fawna. "Hey," she told her.
Molato Granger
The sun was slowly setting as the merman looked out his window. He was thinking of all the, what seemed like, sound advice from his family. You know, you're not getting any younger, Molato... he could her his mother's words echoing about in his head. MOLATO!! It is tradition to find a young mermaid at this age. They're at their peak for mating. If you wait any longer, they may lose their potential for providing you a child... his father's strong words echoed along side his mother's. He let out a dramatic sigh, "Can I get a break?" He said to himself, tired of his repetitious thoughts. He left his room and towards the Fitness Center. He did not wear any clothes, it was not custom for mermen, but the lower half of his body was scaled.
"Oh! Hi, Amara," Fawna extended her hand to greet the young woman officially, "Let's head to the Meeting Room, so we can talk in private."
They entered a fairly large room with a long wooden table with several beige chairs surrounding it. Fawna sat on the chair closest to the door which they came from. "So," she cleared her throat before starting off, "Here in the TRH, we're funded by the Blood Red Demon Clan. When you're employed by them, you can't quit." She cocked her head to the side pensively, "You can take breaks, but no quitting. Otherwise they'd hunt you down and kill you and spiritbound you soul to the hotel." She gave Amara a big smile then continued as if her statement wasn't a big deal, "On the positive side, you are homed for free, eat for free and your life is extended and protected by the clan. We have insurance that if for whatever reason you're are killed while employed by TRH, we will resurrect you. The retirement age is 60, but if you quit earlier, your spiritbounded here for eternity, but if you let me know in advance I can try to cover up your trail, so they don't track you down!" She scratched the back of her head then looked at her hiring application, "Is night shifts fine by the pool? We can give you days off if you have a 'beast' moment. Now, all I need you to do is sign here and a drop of blood there."
Panic Panic
Amana listened and signed. She really didn't care, nothing bad usually happens to her. So she continued on.
Fawna took the officially signed document and stood, "Great, so at the top of your post please state you're security." She points above her own post as an example. "Also, when on duty please wear this shirt," she handed her a black shirt with big white letters stating 'security'. "When would you like to start working?"
She nodded understandingly, "Take as much time as you like." Maid3338 came in with a recently printed out brochure, "Ah, thank you!" She gave Amara the brochure after she took a peek at her herself. "You're already in our system. Welcome to our team!" With that said, Maid3338 and Fawna left the meeting room, 3338 returned to her cleaning duty and Fawna at the front desk again.
Amara went back to the pool. She hadn't swam in what felt like forever. she went back to her room, slid on a bathing suite, and came back down to the pool. She could see someone in there but she couldn't tell who or what it was. She decided to ignore it, and she got in.
Finvarra: I looked around and tapped the girl on the shoulder, showing her the tablet of stone which now had "is there a garden around the hotel?" on it.
DOG:
Wanderer. Wears a white t-shirt, jeans, and beat up black shoes. Fledgeling adult. Brown, unkempt, short hair. Pale. Rectangular, dirty glasses. Skinny. Square jaw, large nose. Appears to smile alot.
DAISY
German shepherd. Slightly fat. Very happy.
It had been quite the long time since Dog had last visited his favorite respite. Sure, it was a hard place to find, but it sure was worth it. That was, if you did have trouble finding it, Dog always knew where it was. Dog usually went where he pleased. Daisy trotted along by his feet, tounge lolling out hapily. She knew where they were going, by some uncanny, canine ability. Dog smiled to himself, he was glad dogs existed. Man did not deserve dogs. But yet they were always there, just being dogs. He reached down a hand and gave Daisy an absentminded pet on her back. Yep, man definetely did not deserve dogs.
On the way there, Dog got hungry. He had been walking for the better part of the day, his worn out shoes padding along his four-legged companions paws. Daisy had lifted her nose to the air a few times in anticipation of the smells of New York Cities street vendors. Dog could smell it too. Even if he didn't, he always knew where they were, what they sold, who was running the stands. The person running the braut sandwich stand today was named Chad. Dog liked Chad, and only wished the best for them, though they'd never met before.
Dog waved a hand at Chad. "Hello there! Got some food to spare for a homeless wanderer?" Chad looked at dog questioningly, the unkempt looking, barely of age male was very skinny. He did look like he needed a good meal. Chad was a warmhearted man though, and he had fallen on hard times before, so he felt pity for the kid. "Sure kid, I'll get you a sandwich."
Dog split the sandwich in half, giving the other half to Daisy. Daisy ate just about anything, but he could tell Daisy really liked the sandwich. He took his time eating his, thanking Chad. "Thanks bud, you really made my day." Chad insisted that it was no problem, and he wished the best for the stranger, but Dog stayed a bit. "You know, I've heard theres some pretty bad stuff going on here in New York. Money laundering, in particular." Dog finished off the rest of his sandwich, wiping his hands on his jeans. "With the amount that's being moved around, I'm suprised nobody's accidentially dropped some. It'd be somethin' to find a duffelbag full of money, wouldn't it?" Chad, an honest man, stated that he just wished that the world was less corrupt. Dog smiled patting him on the back. "You and me both friend," he said, even though there was an undertone of knowing sadness to his voice, "You and me both."
Bidding his goodbyes, Dog snapped his fingers for Daisy to follow him. It was sad really, he knew that Chad would indeed find a duffelbag full of money. He also knew that Chad was an honest person, and upon finding the money, would turn it into the police. But Dog also knew that Chad's face would be recognized by someone, given that he'd be on the news, and he'd recieve quite a few tips from some greatful citizens. Even though humanity had their downside, there was always good people too. But in Dog's humble opinion, they still didn't deserve dogs.
Finally, he found it. The door to the random hotel. Daisy pranced about excitedly, she knew, again, by some canine ability, that they were finally here. Dog held open the door for her, and they stepped into the random hotel.
To his suprise, the one manning the desk was none other than his old friend Fawna. A bus boy passed him, carrying an overloaded cart. "Careful not to drop the top left suitcase bud!" The man called to him. "Thanks dog!" Came the hurried response. Moments later, the suitcase slipped from its perch, and although the busboy fumbled with it, he did not drop it. "Thanks for the heads up!" His voice came back, albeit farther away this time.
Approaching the front desk, Dog beamed. Daisy sat on the ground with the weird way she had, one leg under her, the other sticking out slightly. She panted happily like most happy dogs do. "Hey! Fawna, it's been awhile!" He said, tapping the desk with his knuckles, "Things have probably been busy lately! How have you been?"
Though Maid3338 placed Amara's general information into the TRH's system, she still had some scheduling and tidbits to do. After running her little fingers through a marathon on the keyboard, she heard a ping. It wasn't just any ordinary ping. It was the ping that gave shivers. It was the ping that made her sweat. She got an email from the Red Demon Clan.
New Hire
Good Evening Ms. Mae: We're glad to see that you are keeping up with your promises, Ms. Mae. Last week you had us worried that ANOTHER employee quit and this one, Amara Wolfe, looks promising. Well, let's cut to the chase. You know we don't like secrets. We noticed you sent out Bryan to do some shopping for TRH. He's supposed to be soulbounded, Ms. Mae. SOULBOUNDED. Do you know what that means. The 59 year old man decided to quit TOO early. We gave him a consequence, and now you're freeing him? We expect a full report on why and how Bryan escaped. You have 24 hours to bring him BACK.
Tugging at her shirt's collar uncomfortably, she could almost hear herself panting like Daisy. Like Daisy?! "Daisy!" she walked around the desk, almost ignoring Dog about his comment relating to her being busy at work, and knelt over her old doggie friend, Daisy. Giving her a little pet here. A scratch, scratch there. Speaking of scratching dogs, "Hey Dog, feels like a two-thousand years since you've came by. You know... maybe..." She looked deep in thought for a second. Though she tried to cover up her stress, she could still feel the heavy beads drizzling down from her forehead to the side of her cheek. "Same room as usual? It's got your name on it still," she gave him a smile, but her effort was straining. It's been forever since Dog has came to visit and she felt embarrassed for him to see her like this. Sweating. Worried. Stress. Scared.
Molato Granger
Molato saw a big girl with pointy ears and blue fur over by the pool and, if he squinted his eyes right, a much much smaller girl tapping at her shoulder. Although, he left his home temporarily to avoid socializing with his family's pressure, he was quite a sociable dude. He leaned on the doorway of the fitness center, far from the two girls, contemplating. Maybe, just maybe talking with strangers will distract him from all his worries. Finally, he mustered the courage to approach the two undeniably unique girls. Upon closer inspection, he noticed one had a little stone asking if there was a garden around, "Man!" He scratched behind his head as he looked around, "You picked the pool deck as a good place to start looking." He nodded as he continued to scan his vicinity, "You know what? There's no big garden here, but... if you go to the bar area, there's plenty of pretty plants there~" He looked at the werewolf and smiled, "Hi, I'm Molato. You can call me Moe for short!" totalwarfair totalwarfair Panic Panic
Daisy accepted the pats. Dogs always accept pats. Daisy was a very well mannered dog too, and the few licks she gave back to Fawna were not slobbery and very gentle. Dog smiled and shook his head again. He hadn't made beings from the different dimensions and planes of existance and what not, and he didn't know who had, but they still didn't deserve dogs. But dogs deserved them, they made dogs very happy.
"Yea, two thousand and thirty four to be exact," Dog said, bending down and giving Daisy a little ear ruffle as well, "I got into a conversation about ethics, you know how I can go on and on and on about that stuff. Then I got stuck in a place where I was just walking around for awhile, and that's always fun. One thing's certain though, earth hasn't changed much since." Dog accepted the key to room 706, chuckling at the scratch one of the past employees had made on it as a joke. The scratch on the key matched the one on the door, making the 7 look more like a capital D. The numbers, along with the scratch, bore the unmistakable resemblance of the word "DOG". Fawna was right, the door to room 706 still had his name on it, and Dog could tell that just by thinking about it. It pleased him that nobody had used the room since he last did, the little things that other people did for him and eachother made him happy. They made Daisy happy too, but she was happy about alot of things in general, usually simaltaneously.
Dog waved and went to head upstairs via the stairwell, but he'd put Daisy through enough walking today. They'd take the elevator. Walking back past the desk, Dog stopped. "Fawna?" He asked, "You aren't having too good a time, are you?"
Fawna shook her head in disbelief in her accuracy, she mouthed the number two-thousand and thirty-four just after he said it. She looked up at her old guest as he rambled on. She could almost feel tears of joy erupting from her eyes as she looked at him. How happy he was to come back. She'd never want to take that away from anybody. Not Molato, Amara, Dog, no one. That's why she does what she does for her hotel. To keep it up. To keep it standing. She stood up as he began to walk away, feeling better that he left, so she didn't have to continue acting, acting like everything's okay, but everything will be okay. Bryan promised to come back from the market. If he didn't, well, she'll figure it out. She always does. Otherwise, she would have been killed a long time ago by the Blood Demons' hands. Just as she was about to return behind the counter with a, now, sorrowful smile, Dog called out her name. "Yes," she replied almost immediately. "You aren't having too good a time, are you?" She looked back at him, "Just a minor set back, but don't mind ol' me. Rest up, and Daisy too. I've known you wanderers for too long."
Molato laughed at Amara's comment, "Nah, man!" His furrowed his brows in a confused manner, wondering why she'd think that, "I'm a regular though.. I come here whenever I'm..." he let out a sigh as he reminded himself why he was here, "stressed.." he scratched behind his head again, "Nevermind that! You work here? Being a regular, I haven't seen you last time I came. You new?" Panic Panic
Amara nodded. She made her way into the pool. "I am stuck here till I'm sixty. At least that's the way I understood it. Perhaps it won't be that bad."
