The Prince and the Peasant

Michael sat in the garden looking at the stars, after dinner. He rarely got to be outside, his parents always afraid that finding out who he was would kill him or that some girl would try and take advantage of him. But right now, only one girl seem to dance in his mind, and she just found out who he was.

Once her sister was done scolding her, Celia went to sit by her brother's side. She was sad she had to work by herself to get medicine that barely did anything, but she hoped one day it would help.

Michael was starting to drift off, so he took himself into the castle for bed, hoping to find away to see Celia again.

When morning came, Freud was already in his room and lecturing him, Michael was on a short leach for the day and he had to find some way to get it off.

Michael rolled his eyes for the hundredth time, as the lecture continued on dinnerware. How much dinnerware is there and why is it so important, he thought to himself.

Celia went to the dress shop first to see how her sister's dress was coming. It was done and Celia had to pay sixty gold coins for it.

Michael finally got through his morning lessons when he smiled at the cook, "How is the bread?"

"Good." the cook said.

"Do you think you can use some help?"

"Always could, what did you have in mind?"

"I think I know who can help you." Michael smiled.

Michael sighed, as he got out of the carriage, Freud was suspicious but if the cook needed help, there was nothing he could do, if the prince had an idea.

Celia went to the market and began collecting food for her family. She couldn't afford the best since she had spent most of her money on her sister's dress.

Michael smiled, when he spotted her, walking up to her without skipping a beat, Freud behind him, "Celia." he called, as he got closer.

"I want you to come with me." Michael stated, with a smile, "You and your family. We've been short staffed and the cook did enjoy your bread. It would be helpful if you would help him."

Michael smiled, "I wouldn't thank me, the cook is a slave driver if you don't know what you are doing. But you do, so i have faith, you and he will get along. I just want you to meet him, maybe we can send someone for your brother and sister and you can have dinner with me. If the cook accepts you, then there is a cottage just by the garden you can stay in. It's not completely big, but I think it will fit three people."

Michael smiled, "Good." he said taking the basket from her, "I don't think we need ingredients, but Freud." he called handing him the basket of food, "Please attend to this, as I speak with the lady."

"Of course." Freud stated, as he went to pay for the food.

"I want you to come now, after you speak with the cook, I will have a carriage to take you home and bring you back." Michael smiled.

Michael grinned, "Come then. With any luck, which I doubt you need, I might be able to make more your future days slightly more interesting."
