Fantasy The Price for Power

Nenma Takashi

Terribly Terrible
In the world of Sekane there are many with extraordinary powers these people are called "Buyers" As they have given up something or accepted a curse of some kind called a "Pay-up" in order to gain a power. These powers are called "Prizes" and there are many different powers each Buyer has their own Prize and no two Buyers have the same Prize. The same with Pay-ups they are unique for each Buyer and can't be removed, changed, or nulled in any way shape or form. Buyers usually are looked down upon in society as monsters who could go on terrible rampages at any point. As such many Buyers choose to become the monster people see them as and turn to lives of crime robbing people, banks, or just killing for fun. While other Buyers choose to become bounty hunters in order to put a stop to the wrong doers while getting some pocket money of their own.

The strangest part about Buyers is the reason they're called such since they bought their power by paying up with a curse. But no one knows who or what is even giving these Buyers their powers. Who is it that decided who gets powers and who doesn't? Buyers have no memory of when or how they got their Prizes and when they have it they know exactly what it does and their Pay-up. Life on Sekane has been steady with bounty hunters stopping criminals and the people being safe most feel like breezing through life. Though looks can be deceiving since nothing in life is free nor is anything as it seems. Since "money" makes the world...go....round!

So this is basically Darker then Black but the contractors get to keep their emotions?

Yes but their pay up also has something to do with their power more so than it does in darker than black, I'll also probably be the one to decide your pay-up after hearing your power.
