Fantasy The Poison Of The Seven Seas

Samuel woke up from sleep, feeling the shaking of the floor as the captain slammed her door shut. He put his mace away, his hat on and slowly walked over to the door. "Captain?" He started. "You may not want to hear this, but even if she is a relative of yours, she could never replace you as the captain, I'd never allow it, for you're the Captain everyone on the ship cares for and respects." He sat down next to the door and resumed his role as guard, so as no one would bother the captain while she was in her quarters.

Yes. I think that was about as polite a responce as I was expecting. Mio was about as far from the company of Lord Harold Boswell, Viscount Hans Dortmendler and his own father, The Honourable Jan Corneliuszen, as one could get, but somehow, Simon still found himself with a sort of semi-liking for the man. Yes, he spoke in the literary equivilant of faeces. Yes, he was needlessly unhinged and wild. Yet there was some sort of strange curiosity about keeping up with his various antics, even if Simon pretty much disagreed with every single one of them. Not that he was completely irredeemable, mind, and he was still a lawless maniac. When around the strange Spaniard, Simon found himself becoming even more formal; perhaps a subconcious barrier of goodwill and fresh manners would halt the polluting insanity that seemed to irradiate like a gascious drug from the man's aura.

"Not to worry," the Dutchman intoned unflinchingly, "and thank you anyhow, old chap." That particular honorific was a particular favourite of Henry Boswell's, and another strange idiom to a foreigner. Just the kind of pompously, then, to ascertain his standings.

It was at that moment that the Captain's peerless cry was heard, kindling further strange feelings in Simon's chest. Love was an unfamiliar emotion, and its every touch was equally peculiar. The Captain did shout a lot; that was practically in the job description. But there was something else to her voice now, some kind of deeper anguish.

In the stunned silence that filled the air that had cleared in Louise's roar, a drunken Mallory stumbled over to Mio and rather unhelpfully stated the obvious. Five years aboard the ship had taught Simon not to be surprised by his colleague's lack of professionalism, though he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow as Mio forced her into a 'passionate' kiss. The loon's probably kissed everyone on the ship at some point, barring my lucky self. As he blinked, for a moment, his mind's image distorted the pair and he saw himself holding Louise in their place.

And then the woman herself appeared, full of fearful rage, a vacuum of terrible silent noise, and she stormed off into her private quarters before anybody could say any different. Still, nobody had explained what was going on to Simon. "I don't suppose you..." He turned to Mallory, but then remembered what it was she was doing. "No... never mind."

Louise

"Captain?"

Louise didn't look up. She sat, almost huddled, on the floor in her quarters. She'd unknowingly coiled her fingers tightly around the rim of her hat as she cradled it against her chest, her bottom lip quivering ever so slightly. She felt weak. She felt...wrong. Something was wrong. The woman quickly rose to her feet, tossing her head gently onto her bed as she raked her fingers through her hair. What was she doing wrong? What did Dmitri have that she didn't? Louise had tried her very best to follow in his footsteps the day the Poison came under her control...but something was amiss...something important. Louise had been searching for whatever it was for years, but whenever she felt the answer was just within reach...it vanished. Disintegrated like a useless map thrown into the sea...such a hopeless sight, it was.

"You may not want to hear this, but even if she is a relative of yours, she could never replace you as the captain, I'd never allow it, for you're the Captain everyone on the ship cares for and respects."

Louise glanced toward the door. She could recognize Samuel's voice immediately, though she only ever heard it through her closed door. The woman took a single step towards the entrance of her room, reaching out a hand as if to open the door...but stopped herself. She looked down at her gloved hand, speckled in dirt, and then let out a sigh. The woman dropped her arm, and then meandered over to her desk. She slowly sunk down into her chair, and then muttered just loud enough for Samuel to hear,
"Thank you."

Carter snapped his head around to where the captain was shouting. She was quite obviously upset with the new development on the ship. Carter did acknowledge the fact that long lost half-sister's in barrel's were not a common occurrence even on Pirate ships. He also knew that if he wanted to keep his miserable skin on his miserable bones he had best keep away from the captain. He glanced around quickly for a chore to attend to before he was caught idle and decided to head back to the supply closet. After his last rush in there it seemed like the room could use a tidying. He didn't know who else had been in there but it smelt like stale vomit, some obvious drunk pirate had made his way in there at some point and left some of himself behind.

Although cleaning others vomit was his least favourite job, he knew that he had to do it before someone smelt it and it was blamed on him. It may be selfish but he did have an overwhelming desire to keep his hide. He flung open the door and grabbed a makeshift mop and the other bucket of water he had been using to scrub the deck, before beginning to mop the floor from the back forward. After having looked at every nook and cranny he knew that unfortunately he would have to move things in order to find the stench. After having picked up the first box, the bottom was soggy and he knew he had found the source. As quickly as he could he carried the box over to the rail and tossed it overboard. He hoped that there was nothing of importance in there as he walked back to the small room.

Zubari was down in the surgeons quarters searching through all her stuff, she seemed to just stand there for the most part. He just grabbed some herbs that would help with normal wounds, well normal bite wounds of like a cheetah or something because to him that was normal. He applied it and wrapped it up with some bandages and herbs to have it heal quicker. He had to figure out what all the commotion was about though so he did it quickly and then looked to the Surgeon and bowed "Ngiyabonga" he says in his native tongue before leaving some herbs he had found on the Jamaican islands to her then leaving to see what was going on above him. Once he came out he noticed all the commotion and thought nothing of it and decided it was best to talk to the captain now (It's not the best time though).

Zubari walked towards the captains quarters seeing the girl tied to the mast, he made no connection oddly as he walked seeing Simon there. Oddly enough he knew Simon's name and the captains and that was about it. Simon was the only normal one there and Zubari really liked that. Zubari walked over to Simon "
Simon....how are you doing...and what is going on?" Amazingly Zubari did not speak pirate well, probably because he learned English from a more royal side so he spoke more proper and nice. And he liked to hear about how others where even if it did not matter "Is the captain okay.....yelling is not good...." He says looking at the door

As Mallory descended, she thought herself quite lucky to be in Mio's arms. Even as she was bent over, she never felt slightly unsafe even despite Mio's reputation. She returned the kiss, perhaps slightly too sloppily. Mio had always been kind to her, almost uncharacteristically so and Mallory had nearly always been game to return the favor. In her inebriated state, Mallory couldn't be bothered to think about the consequences of the kiss. If she had been sober, Mio would probably have been thoroughly mocked.

At that moment, however, Mallory allowed herself a moment to enjoy her friend's eyes. She closed her own blue eyes and drifted in her thoughts as Mio spoke into her ear. Her friend, her confidant, her partner in crime-what ate away at her was the knowledge that, for reasons Mallory holds close to her heart they would almost certainly never be lovers.

Mallory couldn't help her face as it lit with excitement. Out of the events of the day, what better way to relax than to have a final bout of shenanigans with the people of Port Royal? Mallory began to walk to get her instrument, and spoke over her shoulder. "
I can'e imagine anything more boring." She pretended to pout. "But we can do it anyways, I gueesss it might be a bit of fun. Perhaps we can find you a lovely Jamaican bride."

She stumble-ran to get her Violin, remarkably pleased with herself. Now that most of the work of the day had been finished, Mallory stood on the loading dock and played a snappy, quick piece that sounded almost like fiddle music in order to draw Mio and anybody else interested out into the town.

For lack of a better term, this was the
Poison's "party anthem." Her mind wandered to Louise as she waited. She was frustrated with her Captain, and remarkably sad that she felt as she did. As her emotions welled within her, she did what she could only do: Play harder.

Quite the odd thing, waking up from a slumber you didn't know you were taking part in. It's often a shock to find yourself suddenly awake when you thought you were actually getting work done.

Even odder than that, however...Was waking up in a place that seemed unfamiliar, and in the painful way of hitting the floor in a suit of metal, which was not only loud, but also much more of a shock than simply hitting the the ground.

And even then, one wouldn't be so much confused as dazed, but if in the second you were awoken in a clang, you were scooped up by a girl you had only seen in passing in your past two days on the ship...Well, one would be very justifiably befuddled, and why she seemed to both be concerned about his sudden impact with the floor, and also quite accusatory of actions he was...More than unaware of.

"..Eh...Was...I asleep?...Who are you, and I didn't do anything!"

Hope was rather annoyed at Louise leaving. In hindsight, she supposed she had been rather blunt. It was a mistake, and Hope probably wouldn't do it again. The fact remained, though, that Hope needed to show Louise the charts, and so she followed Louise up to the cabin. She knocked on the door, and called out:

"Captain? I need to speak with you about the navigation. I apologize for my earlier question. I was overreaching myself. But still, I need to talk to you."

Hopefully, Louise would allow her in. If not, she'd leave and talk to Mio first about the route. Hope felt slightly ashamed about what she had asked the captain- it was yet another mistake to her name. Hope didn't like mistakes.

After a long while of looking for the perfect rope, she finally returned and also had her blade sharpened on this little trip. It wasnt much but it was good. Walking back onto the ship, she walked down to the storage room where she'd put the rope in the correct spot. Taking a deep breath, she took in the cool air that was down there before making her way out and heading to her cabin to grab her hat. Tossing her hat on, she then went up to the deck where she looked around at the others working and what not.

Things had also been going around about Louise having a sister or cousin. Whatever it was, she was confused but interested. Raising an eyebrow she looked at the others who seemed to still bicker about it. Boy when she goes missing interesint things happen! This was something Crystal hated so much. Missing all the fun!!

Louise

"Captain? I need to speak with you about the navigation. I apologize for my earlier question. I was overreaching myself. But still, I need to talk to you."

Louise narrowed her eyebrows as she heard Hope's voice outside of her door. She turned her head slightly, but didn't say anything immediately. The woman turned her attention back to the jumbled up maps and charts in front of her, sifting through them for a moment before gathering them up in her arms. She walked over to the door, clumsily unlocking it before opening it up and thrusting all but one of the paper's into Hope's arms. She folded up the paper she kept and shoved into her pocket before placing a hand on her hip and leaning lightly in the doorway. Giving the girl an unamused expression the woman said abruptly,
"I'm not the navigator."

She tapped her fingers along her hipbone, raising her eyebrows as she said,
"Go over them with Mio, and tell him I want to set sail as soon as possible."

The woman flared her nostrils as she looked around, eyeing a few of the locals that had been hired to help prepare the ship. She scoffed, and then grumbled,
"I don't think I can stand this place much longer."

Suddenly, the cheerful voice of Mallory's violin filled the air. A happy tune that Louise was all too familiar with. For some reason, the cheery melody hit all of the right spots for Louise...like when you ask someone to scratch your back and they know EXACTLY where you itch. The song usually gave her a warm, fuzzy feeling...but for some reason, Louise felt a pit form in her stomach. As the captain looked over to the source of the music, the pit only grew larger. Mallory had only been honest with her...wasn't she entitled to at least an opinion? The captain shook her head slightly, quickly diverting her attention away from the musician. No, she was through feeling upset. She wasn't going there again.

"Well, get to it." Louise said, glancing back at Hope.

He had thought about what she may do so he went to the main deck to make sure she was not going to kill the girl who looked exactly like her. Murphy opened the door and took a deep breath, breathing in the Rancid air "I love Jamaica" he says looking around to make sure she was not making an assassination attempt on the girls life. See no the captain knew how much of a handful Murphy would be but she still took his drunk ass in, it was her fault, but he was a good guy. He just really enjoyed picking at people. Murphy noticed the captain storming through everyone heading for her room or quarters or whatever. Murphy took another swig of his drink and watched all of his crew mates wondering when they would leave, he was ready to go get more exotic rum. Even though there was no such thing.

Murphy heard someone entering the ship, it seemed like the nimrod who tried to fight on deck. Murphy decided to talk to her because he was bored out of his mind, super bored to be exact and super drunk to top it all off. "I really enjoyed your love fight earlier, really made me feel safe seeing those blades swing right in front of me and my wife" Murphy says pointing to his rum, he was defiantly an oddball and obviously as drunk as anyone could ever get "How was selling your body for coin going" Murphy joked, he actually thought she was in town not on the ship after the spar, but then again when did he know anything

Zubari watched as the captain came out, she did not seem in the best of moods so he thought about just leaving and going to go chill somewhere where he would not get killed. But he stayed because he actually wanted to talk to her for a bit because he never actually ever did that. He sat in the deckhands quarters and once they reached land he would disappear for days on end then come back with a ton of money and skins and meat, that was how he rolled but right now he had something important to talk to her about. It was not quite an adventure he just wanted to bring something to light that for some reason before he did not bring to light. Zubari moved a bit away from Simon and looked at the captain about to say something, and if it was him it would probably not be dumb.

"
When you get the chance....I need to talk to you" Zubari says seeing she had her hands full so he decided it was best to let Simon have the first go but he was unsure if Simon was even there to chat or if he had already said what he had to and now he was leaving. Zubari slung a bag over his back and turned sitting down nearby waiting for when she was ready, it did not matter how long it took for her to want to talk to him, he could sit there. He did not mind just relaxing for a bit.

Riley was silent when Louise told her 'Welcome to hell.' "You know Iris..." She said as she started conversing with the bird once more. "I get the feeling that she doesn't like me...at all." She stated. "Do you have any idea why Iris?" She asked the bird. Once again, talking to a bird wasn't the weirdest thing she'd ever done. It was pretty much up there, but it definitely wasn't the weirdest. "I haven't the foggiest idea why, is it because I came here with no warning and introduced myself, does she not trust me because I might usurp her?" She asked the bird sadly.

"...." John stood stiff for a while feeling shocked. He then felt pain and swore he was dying right there at how she'd shrugged him off like he didn't exist. He looked around without really seeing anything in particular before wandering off. "...." He was below deck staring at the present he'd gotten her and how it had become ready before he knew it. He felt himself getting more and more pained before he could literally feel something snap. "You stupid moronic fool. You f*cking idiot!" John yelled at himself grabbing the plant by the pot and heaving it up aggressively knowing the oranges would be sweet. He had raised the whole plant from a sapling that he'd paid most of his money for and now he wanted it gone from his sight. He knew the value of the plant since it was at full maturity but only about three feet tall with wondrously sweet fruit on it's branches. He dragged/carried the plant up onto the deck mumbling the whole way before pausing a equal distance between the railing and the captain's cabin.

Natalia stared at the boy in disbelief before feeling her cheeks turn a almost neon red from how she was suddenly holding him. "I-I uh... I... Damn you! You keep making me feel so... so... so STRANGE! I don't know what you're doing but I'll figure it out. You and your... your... your pelvic sorcery!" Natalia said gently letting the boy go as she started trying to fan off her face with one hand and debated slapping the boy with the other. She instead turned away just in time to notice John looking livid with a ripe yet tiny orange tree in his hands. She'd heard his excuse for buying it since she'd helped him sneak it onto the ship after he'd had a friend take a look at it. She ran over and grabbed it trying to keep him from doing anything crazy when they started their argument.

"Let go I'll throw both it and you if I have to!"

"It's not your fault she'll love the plant even if it's stunted!"

"What the hell would you know!"

"S-Somebody help! He's so mad for some reason!"

Hope hesitated a bit. She wanted to make it up to Louise somehow, but wasn't sure how to do so. One part of her was urging her to jump ship right there in Port Royal and leave this seabound lunatic asylum, with all her mistakes onboard, but she couldn't just abandon her crewmates like that. Instead, she just told Louise: "If it makes you feel better, it doesn't really matter if you're related to her. You're unique, and the best captain I've met. Riley will never be that. That's all you."

That line was said in a genuinely heartfelt way, which could be described as an uncommon happening if one wished to enter the Understatement of the Year competition with that description.

Hope didn't wait to hear Louise's reaction, though. She immediately fled, and started searching for Mio. She would do her best to avoid the captain until everything had cooled off out of fear that she had just made the situation worse.

@Prizzy Kriyze

When she found Mio, she was too flustered to pay much attention to anything around him, although she hid it under her usual stoic mask. She said: "I've plotted out a route to Jeremie, and I'd like you to look it over. Is that okay with you now?"

Samuel felt bad for the Captain, she didn't need all this stress before they set sail. He looked at Hope as the Captain handed her some papers and shut the door. He began whistling a cheerful tune as his eyes wandered around, looking at the tied up girl, Mio and Mallory kissing and other various things. Samuel took out his mace and a piece of shirt he ripped off a few days ago and began cleaning his mace, changing his whistling to a more sorrowful song.

Noémi heard the call for help and honestly thought someone was in trouble. Usually, she wouldn't have gone and would've let others taken care of it but she felt the need to help so she hurried over to the call and saw a man dragging an orange tree near the railing and a lady trying to stop him. 'K-Kiling yourself..?' Noémi's first thought was he was going to jump over the side with the tree and let it sink him to the bottom to drown himself and the lady was trying to talk him out of it.She went over cautiously and gently tugged on his sleeve to get his attention. She curtsied in front of him and looked up at him, her eyes still concerned. "I don't think you should kill yourself. I feel as if you'd regret it later." Noémi isn't the best at comforting or talking anyone out of suicide (Since she's gladly never had to done it before.) so she doesn't exactly know how to respond. The words just flew out of her mouth without any warning and her face started to turn a light pink as she continued to stare at the man. She was embaressed because of how unthoughtful the words were. "I- S-sir. I-I'm so so s-sorry. I-I did-didn't mean t-to- I mean..." Noémi just cut her sentence off by her taking a deep breathe and quickly re-stating what she said. "What I meant to say was, you are a huge comitment to this ship and I don't think there's anyone that can do your job better than you do. You've taken us to amazing places and you have great skill and so I don't think you should waste it. You could talk to someone I guess.. You are a pirate so I don't know if you'd share your problems with someone," She said, breaking her gaze and then looking back, smiling slightly, "but I'm always here if you need to talk. I like helping others with their problems." Noémi attempted to give him something else to think of other than suicide in hopes it would help.

"I...I have no idea what just happened."

Evelyn had possibly just gone through the third most confusing moment of his life, and as he was very suddenly lowered to the ground by the girl, of which on one hand had seemed reasonably concerned about his safety after falling from the barrel, whereas one would assume anybody watching a newly-recruited cabin boy fall from a barrel due to sleeping on the job wouldn't care much.

On the other hand, of course, she had seemed to be accusing him of doing something, of which he had no idea what, and had very clearly said something about 'Pelvic Sorcery' which besides inciting a quick glance downwards to check that his lower-armor remained uncompromised, could only cause him to assume that she was a very clearly off, and that it would be best to avoid following her to figure out what she was so oddly accusing him of.

However, the best option is oft the one people don't take, for a multitude of reasons, the main one generally being curiosity and confusion, and well he was actually considering a good course of action would be be to go to the ships kitchen and see if there was any food lying around, or maybe even to possibly do some actual work, however he didn't entirely know how to fully get around the ship, so both of those options resulted in wandering around aimlessly, which also would probably result in him falling asleep again. So the best course of action he decided would be to wander generally in the direction of the crazy girl, if only to possibly find something to help with on the way.

Crystal heard something from behind her and she raised her eyebrow, turning and seeing Murphy who was still drunk. "I really enjoyed your love fight earlier, really made me feel safe seeing those blades swing right in front of me and my wife" This made her want to ask who the hell was his wife before he actually pointed to the bottle that he had been holding labeled 'Rum' this wanted to make her facepalm. He is crazy if he's calling a bottle his wife..is he that obsessed with rum? I actually wonder what happens when he runs out of rum from that bottle..Would he cry over it? this only made her grin and almost start laughing.

"How was selling your body for coin going" This shocked Crystal and she lost her grin and her laugh was no longer making its way up. But when she seen the grin on his face, he seemed to be joking. "Lets see, I really didnt even have to. These puppies did all the work" she patted her chest with a laugh and shook her head, putting her hands on her hips "I just had to get some rope for the ship if anything like earlier were to happen. For some odd reason the rope looked like someone was starting to cut it but then never finished. I'm glad I actually managed to find that and fix it before we set sail later."

Carter stared in horror at the man dragging the tree along. Not that long ago, Carter had just finished cleaning there. He grumbled something about over dramatic pirate shows before fetching his trusty mop and bucket. He found the original planter for the tree and tried to shove some of the soil back in. Maybe they could reuse it or even replant the tree. He got to work cleaning up the mess and grumbling many obcene words under his breath. He did feel a slight twinge of happiness though. The more mess to clean up the more work he did and the less slacking off that could happen.

Mio Del Abascal Marco Vega

Suddenly Louise bursted out of the kitchen and onto the deck, looking generally upset. She looked at himself and Mallory for a moment, then bee lined across the deck towards her cabin, only stopping to say something to the tied up chick. Mio raised an eyebrow. Something was off, this wasn't her regular upset nature. He thought back to Mallory's words when she just came up to him, then looked at her as she walked away from him to grab her violin. "Maybe a bit of an upgrade." One corner of his mouth bent downwards, and as a very unusual change of pace Mio looked disappointed. Everyone here was pirates, yeah, and he himself was the most troublesome of all, but there was a line drawn at the captain. A pirate must always obey their captain.

He put a hand on the hilt of his sword, and looked over when Hope came up to him. "I've plotted out a route to Jérémie, and I'd like you to look it over. Is that okay with you now?" Mio looked between the ship and the town for a few seconds, then let out a long sigh. "Alright... yeah, fine. Give me a minute." Mio walked over to the side of the boat where Mallory had just went, then leaned over the railing. She was already playing that one lovely tune, and Mio was noticeably disappointed that he wouldn't have the opportunity to head into town and fist fight random bar fight champions. "Hey, Mallory. Change of plans. Even though a Jamaican bride would be a lovely addition to my cabin, we got to get stuff done. You do... whatever it is you do."

Mio sighed yet again, then made his way across the deck and onto the higher deck, where he grabbed hold of a rope then stood up on the railing. He contemplated his options for a moment as he didn't want to have to do this, but figured that someone had to do it. Might as well be him. Raising his voice to roar across the deck, he voiced: "We've been in port for two weeks or something. We've had our fun. It's time to move on. We've got to get to Jérémie in this life time, and you guys keep staling. I'm going to go with Hope to check over the navigation route, and when I'm back I want to see everyone working to get the ship in sailing condition. God help the ones who don't. I might even decide to eat you." His voice was stern, and even though the last statement wasn't something you'd even expect Mio to do, he seemed serious.

He looked across the deck and it was obvious he wasn't very comfortable with his position at all. He didn't want to seem like the orderly type. That wasn't like him at all, no. He let out a low disappointed grunt, then added "You know you've really fucked up if I'm the one who has to tell you that." He hopped down off of the railing and onto the lower deck, then walked to Hope's side. "Alright, show me your calculations."

"When you get the chance....I need to talk to you."

Louise glanced over toward the source of the voice, and then raised her eyebrows. Zubari, one of the strikers...had spoken to her? The woman blinked a few times, and then folded her arms. She looked the boy up and down, and then said, half-laughing,
"You know, I think that might be the first time you've said a full sentence to me--"

"You stupid moronic fool. You f*cking idiot!"

"Wha--...?" Louise murmured as she turned. It took a lot to surprise Louise, but when she saw John cursing and shouting and trying to heave a small tree over the side of the ship...well, even she was a little stunned. The woman squinted her eyes at the scene, and then called, "OI! Cut it out over there! I'm trying to have a conversation, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!"

Zubari looked at the captain, he found it odd that she said that and started to think things over. He actually never said whole sentences to the captain, I mean I guess it's good because that means he is less likely to piss her off and get killed. But he should probably open up more to some people. He probably would not open up to the really outgoing crew. Zubari walked back over to her when he saw she actually wanted to talk to him, He looked over at the guy who was throwing the plant and shook his head. What was this kid doing, he was attempting to throw a plant because he was turned down, that was really messed up. Who threw a orange tree when they were angry, why not a person.

Zubari turned to her "
I honestly.....have no idea whats happening" Zubari should have said recently because he meant the whole girl being tied to the mast and the guy throwing a plant "I talk when I have something important to say..." MY GOD 3 whole sentences now, he was on a roll with the cpatain at this point. But he looked at her with a straight face waiting for her to say something, he really needed to tell her something, it was not super urget he just wanted to get it off his chest. And by that I do not mean ask for her hand in marriage or something, no he just wanted to show he something in his bag, something from his home land.

Crystal rolled her eyes at his comment. 'Hey I can be married to whatever I want,' as if she was saying anything about it. Though, she did want to knock some sense into his little brain and tell him that marrying a bottle is kind of stupid and that a real person was much more better. But she didnt dare intrude. 'Also, what do you mean some rope looked like it was cut, like as in someone was trying to sabotage the ship or something.' and thats when she replied to him.

"Well it looked like that. The rope was on the last chunk to keep it together. I dont know who else was up there but whoever was up there, we're going to have to find out who was." she informed him "Cause obviously someone wants something to happen to the ship and the people on it." she looked around before looking back at Murphy "I suggest keeping an eye out, Bud." she then turned from him "If you have any questions, let me know." Someone is going to get caught..Whoever is trying to mess with the boat.

@Prizzy Kriyze

Hope asked Mio to come with her to the navigation room, where she could show him her work more easily. Once there, she unrolled the maps, pointed out the route she'd considered, and told him: "Going this way, we'll have a current at our back. The wind will probably come from our starboard. It's a bit longer than some other routes, but due to these factors I believe it will be faster."

Louise

"I honestly.....have no idea whats happening. I talk when I have something important to say..."

Louise raised her eyebrows at the man as she placed her hands on her hips. What could he possibly have to say to her? Louise was genuinely intrigued at this point...what would a guy like Zubari possibly have to say to the captain of The Poison Of The Seven Seas? He never talked much...not to her, anyway. What could be so important? The woman was truly baffled. Louise opened her mouth to speak, but was quickly cut off by a loud, bossy voice that could only belong to Mio. Immediately, Louise's mood flickered back to semi-annoyed...though when she heard his words, she decided to let it go. At least he was getting his butt in gear.

The woman let out a short sigh as she turned her attention back to Zubari. She dropped her hands from her hips, and then said,
"It'll have to wait until later. I want to be setting sail WITHIN THE HOUR!"

She said the last three words slightly louder, turning her gaze away from Zubari for a moment to examine the pirates in close proximity. The woman took one more glance back at Zubari, giving a courteous nod before making her way toward the helm of the ship. She easily wove through the swarms of pirates, though it wasn't very difficult. Most of them parted from her path as they saw her coming, and the ones that didn't were fairly easily brushed out of the way. Louise quickly climbed up the few stairs that lead her to the slightly raised area of the ship...this was it. The woman leaned slightly over the wood railing as she examined her ship.

"Six years..." she muttered. "...six years a head start they had..."

Louise gave a light snicker.

"...ready or not, here I come."

Louise and Johnny Cluck

Louise let out an exasperated sigh as she stared down at Johnny's unconscious face. A stream of drool trickled down from the crusty corner of his mouth, forming a small puddle on the floor. He'd occasionally let out a hoggish snore, and Louise would wince every time. His breath, sour and smelling of vomit, was enough to make her eyes water. Yet she stayed crouched down beside him. He hadn't moved for a good twenty-four hours, and Louise had to make sure he wasn't dead.

That, and the dinner hour was approaching.

"Johnny." she said in a hushed voice as she gently poked his cheekbone. "Get up...Johnny!"

Monkey the Chicken, who was resting comfortably on Johnny's chest, cooed softly in response to Louise. The captain hung her head slightly, letting out a small groan. After a moment of feeling defeated, the woman stood up. Dusting off her jacket, she began to look around...what could she use...?

...

"I guess I'll have to take a shot by my--"

Johnny shot straight up, catapulting Monkey directly into Louise's arms. The captain flinched as she chicken panicked and began to flap its wings violently in her arms. She quickly dropped the bird, and then turned her attention back to Johnny. The man's eyes, bloodshoot and crusty, were wide open. He looked around as he stood up, and then gently began to sway back and forth.

"Yar...tha' was'ome good rum." he slurred. "...it's'till affec'ing me..."

"No, that's just the boat." Louise sighed, placing her hands on her hips. "We've been sailing for a few hours now."

Johnny paused, and then mumbled,
"I miss'dit..."

"You did. But that doesn't matter, the crew is getting hungry." Louise said, moving her hands away from her hips. She crossed her arms, and then nodded toward the pantry before saying, "Get to it."

The man snorted, kneeling down and beckoning his pet to him. The chicken flapped up onto Cluck's shoulder, and then man uneasily wobbled over to the pantry. He grumbled a few things Louise couldn't quite understand, but she didn't stick around to try to decode his slurring. The woman hiked up the narrow staircase and walked back out onto the deck. She inhaled deeply through her nose...this was more like it. The disgusting smells of the port had been replaced by good, old fashioned seawater, and the hot, sticky air was now a cool subtle breeze. The sky was completely cloudless, and the stars were simply brilliant.

Louise smiled.
