The Pirates of Blackbrin Hollow

Blackbrin Hollow, the name sends a chill down everyone's spine. Cursed, the old tales say; haunted by a crew as black as night and as merciless as the roaring waves of the ocean. Their captain is said to have red eyes, like rubies, and he hangs the skulls of his victims across the blackened sails of his ship. Mary's Blood, the ghostly ship has been called, time and time again across the century. It makes birth at the hollow, located on a small island, far out in the Caribbean, yet none have ever seen it and lived to tell the tale.​

But what of it? Childs tales and ghost stories the people now say, there is no such thing! Yet could they not be more wrong and right at the same time. The pirates of Blackbrin Hollow do indeed exist, but not like anyone would ever have imagined. Their ship is not called Mary's Blood, rather, it's called The Rumstorm, and it is manned and captained by the most aloof, merry, and arrogant band of pirates the world has ever seen! In addition to their everlasting long for rum, these pirates have devoted themselves to ridding the sea of any Brittish or European power that dare claim it for their own. Yet, rum cannot hide the reality of such a task, one bound to end in death and the gallows. Black smoke from cannons and the thunder and crack of bullets cannot be hidden by merriment.

Personality: Lisa is a cunning, flirtatious woman. She loves to play with peoples emotion and doesn't care about anyone but herself. She does anything she can to get out of trouble or to pay off any debt, except actually paying money.


Bio: Lisa always had a wild heart. She left her village and joined up with a crew at the age of 6. The First Mate there taught her everything there was to being a pirate. He also taught her how to steal and haggle prices. After turning 15, she had already earned the title, Sea Witch. Lisa would flirt and flaunt her body to every pirate she met, only to dash his dreams or advances with a knife in the most horrible spot a man could imagine being stabbed. When she turned 17, she got her ship, The Rumstorm. She immediately started to spread the rumor of how terrible and fearsome it was. Now she is feared by all pirates, and men. She wears clothes that are extremely revealing. Lisa enjoys teasing the new pirates that join up on her ship. Besides being flirty, she is an excellent fighter. Specializing in every weapon known to pirates. She loves rum and the current drinking champion on her ship. Although she can be strange at first, Lisa does care for her crew and wouldn't want to sail with any other.

Personality: Ellis is friendly and happy to be around. He's very optimistic about everything, including death. Nothing can make him lose his smile.


Bio: Ellis, although is very young, has been with the Rumstorm for quite a while. He is good friends with Luishi, actually knowing her real name (If this is okay with you @Venomarrah ). Although Ellis is only a cabin boy, he has enough knowledge to be a captain but prefers to stay as the Rumstorm's cabin boy.


He was an orphan for all his life and doesn't remember who his parents are. When he was 4 years old, he somehow crawled onto the Rumstorm and wasn't discovered until they were far from any port. Ever since then, he has been cared for by the women of the Rumstorm and taught how to fight and arm-wrestle by the men. He is best cannon operator on the ship. Ellis loves this ship and everyone on it, and he especially loves being on the ocean. Ellis always felt like the ocean called to him and so he never left the ship, even when making port. He gets nervous when he talks to someone who isn't a crew member.

Appearance:

Personality: Lucian is an Enigma if there ever was one. No one can truly tell what he is thinking or what he will do next. He is only loyal to three things: The Code, Lisa, and Rum. He enjoys drinking with the crew and lightening the mood. Lucian is respectful to everyone aboard the ship.


Bio: Lucian had always wanted a life at sea. He joined the British Navy at age 10 as a cabin boy and worked his way up to First Mate by age 16. By this time, Lucian realized he could never truly be part of the sea with all the regulations the Navy had and his sights were set on a life of piracy. He got his chance when they spotted a pirate ship in the distance. Lucian turned on the entire crew during the confusion and killed every man aboard the ship before the Rumstorm could get in range to board. This earned him the name Bloodsoaked.

Bio: She doesn't really know how she got aboard the ship, nor did she ever question it. She just woke up one day, in the kitchen, without a single memory. She assumed the role of a cook, which she took up quite quickly. She has an odd memory of an owl eating a mouse.

Personality: A fun-loving, carefree, drunkard young pirate, always looking for ways to make money. Oliver an avid liar, spinning the tallest tales; he'll leave his audience without a single coin to spare with his habit of pick pocketing everyone he meets (or at least trying to). He'll sell you anything owns,including the shirt on his back - for more than its worth, that is. Despite his ditsy ways, he is not one to mess with when it comes to combat. He is known for his accuracy with both cannons and flintlocks, and his prowess with the blades of which he sharpens everyday.


Bio: Oliver was a 'mistake'; the result of knocking up too many girls after several drinks at pub. His father raised him until he was 14, teaching him all about how pirates and how to be one, and of course, how to shoot and fight. After his father let him live on his own, he would resort to stealing to survive each day, with little to no money in his pocket at any given time. Eventually, he got accepted by the sea-faring Captain Lisa Beauregard to be a gunner aboard her mighty ship, the Rumstorm.

Appearance: Yes. This is a man. A very fabulous man.

Personality: This fabulous man is a work of art, he's very sassy and always throwing witty come-backs. Luca has a love for fashion and beauty, he enjoys giving makeovers and enhancing everyone's beauty. This musical pirate can look at everyone's good points and focus on them completely, but that's no fun. Luca loves to gossip and insult people, although it's just a joke, he doesn't really mean most of them. This man loves his clothing and his appearance! He'll get very mad at you if you hurt him, and you don't want to get this guy mad. Usually, Luca is very mellow and doesn't get irritated easily - Although, he does get jealous - but if you ever hurt his body, he will find you, kill your loved ones in front of your very own eyes, and then give you a slow and painful death...JUST KIDDING!! He won't go that far, but you get what I mean. Although this pirate may seem overconfident and a little bit of a narcissist, Luca is actually very sensitive about his looks and is always trying to live up to the current fashion, and he does it very successfully. He keeps striving to get better, thinking he is't good enough, pushing himself more and more to meet his high standards. But, he doesn't show that side of him very much.


Bio: Luca Jacques was raised in what you would call, "Royalty", nobility is more like it. He was the oldest of the only two children of the rich and pompous Jacques family, and, of course, being the oldest meant lots of responsibilities. As you know from his personality, Luca didn't want to be tied down with all that pressure of inheriting most of the family fortune, living up to the family name, marrying a rich and proper lady, etc. But, Luca did his best to live up to his parents' expectations, from excelling in his studies to mastering the art of swordsmanship, his parents loved him and boasted about Luca's achievements all the time. Now, let's not forget that Luca had a sibling, a little brother to be exact, his name was Joseph and he was only a year or two younger than Luca. Joseph yearned for his parents attention, they were always so focused on Luca that they didn't spend time with their youngest son. Luca, however, continued to bask in his parent's compliments, becoming the self-concited asshole he is today. Joseph's jealousy soon turned into hatred, for his own older brother to. Soon Mrs. Jacques gave birth to another child, a girl. Or so, they thought it was a girl, she was deformed, her right side of her face drooped and she had four stubby fingers on her left hand and much more. They named her Mona and treated her like she wasn't even alive, just like how they treated Joseph. Although, this time Luca paid lots of attention to Mona, always telling her she was beautiful, even with her many ddeformities. He loved his little sister very much and spoiled her with gifts, always playing and spending time with her. Finally, Joseph couldn't handle it anymore, everyone always told him how great his older brother was and how he should be more like him, even Mona irritated him. Joseph killed Mona that one sad night, her sorrowful cries were drowned out by the thunder and lightning, and so, Joseph blamed it all on Luca. Luca was only 14 at that time, his parents didn't care much about Mona and just told the public that it was a little accident, not much to worry about. Luca was heartbroken that his little princess had been murdered, leaving him with a silent hatred for his younger brother, and so, Luca went for comfort to the one thing that wouldn't betray him. Music. Because of his dedication of music, Luca locked his social life out and his grades began to fail. His parents frowned at Luca, turningtheir favouritism to Joseph, who was loving the attention. Finally, Luca had disgraced the family name by insulting the queen, he had said something about her girdle being too tight, and so, Luca was disowned by his family and thrown out of the house, with no money and no family name to protect him. Finally hearing about the pirate ship, Luca thought that this would be a great opportunity to be free, will the musician be accepted by the captain? Or maybe he'll find another way to get on the ship...

Appearance:

Personality: A flamboyant, flirty, arrogant pirate, and the perfect choice for third in command on the Rumstorm. The world is a playground to him, morale values and good or bad mean nothing to him. He wishes to live his life the way he wants to, uncaring and selfish. He would give up anything just for one night of pleasure, then the next day he'd earn it all back and give it away again that very night. He doesn't care too greatly for bloodshed, but, if there is a reward waiting for him he will gladly accept the challenge of battle to gain it. Plundering and destroying things is almost like a favorite pass-time of his, and whenever the crew of the Rumstorm raids an enemy vessel or village, he'll gladly lead head the operation. You couldn't think of a better man then Aethel to spend your time drinking, joking, or fighting with.


Bio: His father was a respectable seafaring man in his young age, captain of a merchant ship that would deliver goods from England to every corner of the Caribbean. Once or twice when Aethel was a boy, his father even took him out to sea on his long journeys with him. They had grand times together, and Aethel began to hear the sea beckoning him to his calling. Though, the calling wasn't exactly what he expected, nor his father for that matter. As time went on, his father's trade began to fail, and one unexpected day he left the family and joined a pirate crew. He then sailed off and was never seen again. Aethel's mother was in poor health at the time, but his older siblings all had jobs and enough money to care for her, so at once he decided to follow in his father's footsteps. After jumping from crew to crew, fighting and looting all over the Caribbean, he found himself in the service of Captain Beauregard, and has been there ever since. Some say that he is in love with the pirate captain, but then again, he seems to be in love with all the girls.

Rank: Ordinary crew member, she's decent at everything and fills in wherever needed.

Appearance:

Personality: A sassy and snappy pirate wench, with a love of shiny things and knack for picking fights for no real reason. She's rough for the most part, intolerant of practically everyone and everything at times, and always quite discouraging. When drunk though, she actually becomes a bit of a flirt, whether the crew can it believe or not. However, even though she doesn't appear to care for anyone, she doesn't care for herself either. It's like an old wound that never healed up, and she hates everyone around her for it and herself. It’s also very likely the reason why, even though she gets along with people, she never actually becomes their friend.


Bio: Her foster parents were both heavy drinkers and a complete mess. She never knew her true parents and was left in the middle of a road in England one night as a baby. Her soon-to-be foster father came waddling drunkenly out of the bar and stumbled across her, quickly coming up with the brilliant idea that he'd take the small child home with him.


As soon as Ruth was old enough, she left her house, which was practically falling apart, and took up the career of a pirate.

Umm, let me see. Gunner, navigator, helmsmen (I think that's a thing), storehouse keeper, cook, cabin boy, and then just an ordinary crew member with no specific job I guess, someone who's decent at everything and works where and when needed.
