Fantasy The Penitentiary of the Gifted Ones

Akane shrugged as she watched SUPERGUARD get chucked around by one of the prisoners. She wheeled around and strolled into the mess hall, grabbing a tray and getting herself a tray. Chipped beef, canned corn, mushy overcooked carrots, a piece of toast- yeah, looked pretty good.

"So whazzis?", she asked one of the guards, stopping and grabbing a bracelet, "Some kinda new nulls or sumthin? 'S good that ya dumb bastards 're uppin' sec, at least."

Othni simply stared at her without emotion. So much more work when they rebel... he mentally sighed. "These are for everyone. No exceptions. I'd really appreciate it if you just let us put one on you. You seem like the logical type. Surely you would understand the unnecessary problems that would arise if people refuse." Even if his words sounded threatening he did not intend them as such. He never liked being cruel to the convicts, he was once in their shoes but he wasn't about doing them any favors either.

The nurse rolled her eyes and said, "Only a minute." Popping a thermometer into his mouth, she also placed her stethoscope onto his chest. After listening she gave a small nod and reached for the thermometer. Satisfied with the thermometers readings she gave another nod and smiled at him. "Good to go." She gave him a gentle shove out the infirmary doorway and added, "Don't come back, kay? Now off with you. Go eat to keep up a proper diet."

Genevieve laughed at the robot. "Hey, I'll make you a deal." She offered, smirking at the robot. "I'll do as you say without complaint if you leave the art pieces alone. If not I can just throw you again."

"DOT DOT DOT," Superguard vocalized his pause. "VERY WELL. HOWEVER, THE ART SHALL REMAIN IN DESIGNATED ART ZONES. NO ART IN THE CELLS, AS THAT MIGHT BE USED FOR ESCAPES, AND NO ART IN THE HALLS... FOR BECAUSE I SAID SO." he felt this was a legitimate reason. "NOW PLACE THAT BRACELET ON YOUR WRIST, CRIMINAL."

Tony cleared his throat loudly. He rubbed his temples irritably.

"Lady, he doesn't need a check-up. I asked you to tell me what was wrong with him when he came in here. What was the extent of the damages, and what did you heal? It's standard procedure, honey!"

Alice sighed chance are with this on defending herself just got alot harder after all she can't fight hand to hand and relied on her power for self defense with this one that limits her ability to defense herself, she had to think of someway to avoid it but what. "What about self defense most people in here would be able to fight without their abilities and you guards can't be everywhere, so what about me I have as much chance as to land a solid hit as to fracture my own hand. With the ring at least I could destroy it allowing for self defense." Alice said everything she said was true her brittle bones would simply fracture in a fist fight, even if she could use her ability slightly with the bracelet on she wouldn't be able to control how much of her ability she can use.

Outbreak sighed in relief and took a deep breath. He paused for a moment at the hall. Without looking back he said, "Thank you," before pacing off back to the cafeteria. When he approached it he threw open the doors and stormed in. Outbreak looked around and saw that the guards were placing new bracelets on the prisoners. Outbreak smiled and looked down at his hands which were still cuffed. He walked up to the robot. "Let's do a trade. I'll put on the bracelet and you uncuff me," Outbreak told him, smirking.

@Xenonia

The Superguard turned to the smug disease-beast. "ALTERNATIVE TRADE: YOU PUT ON THE BRACELET OR I MAKE THOSE CUFFS UNNECESSARY... BY REMOVING YOUR HANDS." he beeped grumpily. "AND YOU," he turned to the prisoner protesting the bracelet on grounds of frailty. "PERHAPS YOU WOULD LIKE TO PROVE THIS 'BONE BRITTLENESS' BY WAY OF A ONE ON ONE DANCE SESSION WITH MY CATTLEPROD. NO EXCEPTIONS, WEAR THE BRACELET."

Genevieve shrugged, clasping the bracelet to her wrist. "Sure. But there better be enough art zones. I like glancing upon art as I'm tackled and handcuffed every now and then, don't you?" Then she just watched the robot with speculation, wondering if it would even follow through with what it said.

Meditrina glanced at the guard harshly, hurt in her eyes. "Don't be so rude! I checked him up before he went so he wouldn't pass out in the hallway. Do you want to carry him back here?" She asked him, pointing her finger accusingly at the guard. "The only real problems with him were fatigue, soreness in his chest from where the bolt hit him, and a fainter heart. Getting hit with electricity doesn't exactly do the body good you know! And I also placed the new bracelet on his wrist while he was out, but if you find the need to watch over him, do so." Then, with a huff, she moved over to her desk and began filling out paperwork. The one thing that really got her upset was when someone talked to her like she was clueless in her profession.

Othni sighed, scratching his head. Caving he said, "Okay, I'll allow enough power through your bracelet to knock someone out, but this is between you and me." After inserting a chip into the bracelet, he messed with the wiring, and removed the chip, pocketing it. "There." He said, handing her the bracelet.

Outbreak's expression grew sinister. He walked up to the robot and got very close up to him. "Listen up real good, scrap, don't walk away from me when I'm talking to you...uncuff me right now, I already have the bracelet," Outbreak demanded, menacingly. He looked into the robotic eyes with vengeful eyes.

Alice smiled and bowed. "Thank you." She said before grabbing the bracelet and putting it on, the ability to knock someone out with her ability should be able to do alot of damage towards an attacker so it would help alot. Standing back up straight she slowly walked back to her old seat and took a look at her plate seeing if anything was missing. "So you didn't decided to steal any of my feed strange I thought you would have." Alice said smirking before finishing what was on her plate. "I got him to decrease the power limiter on my bracelet, think you can do anything with that to make it even so that we can use more power?" Alice asked Nether seemed to be good with machines after all he wanted to reprogram a robot so he must be.

@Peaceswore

"Take your food? Geez you make me out like some sort of criminal." He said before laughing at his own joke. When he calmed down he looked at her with a smirk. "I can do a lot with it even if he didn't make it so you can use more power." He said in a low whisper making sure only she could. "I obviously can't do anything now, but I believe we are going to be in the same wing, so I'll figure out a way for us to communicate." He said quietly before sitting straight up and looking around. "You got to admit this place is intresting, we have only been here one day and so much havoc has happened. The best part, I technically didn't do anything wrong yet." He smiled as he rested his head on his hand. @Bills352

Superguard turned once more to the annoying plagueboy. "ARE YOU THREATENING AN OFFICER OF THE LAW? THAT IS NOT A VERY GOOD THREAT. NOW..." Superguard shoved his shotgun-arm immediately into Outbreak's face. "THIS IS A GOOD THREAT. IF YOU WISH TO SAVE FACE, SPECIFICALLY, YOUR FACE, YOU WILL STOP THIS LINE OF ATTITUDE. NOW THEN, IF YOU REALLY WISH YOUR CUFFS TO BE REMOVED, MAYBE TRY ASKING THE HEAD WARDEN. EXPLAIN WHAT YOU DID, SEE HOW THEY REACT."

"Right, right." Phe said slowly nodding and coming to the conclusions of the events that happened while still in shock. That was two art pieces today!

Blair, chose this opportune time to not go into the cafeteria. Xe could do without, especially after the destruction of yet another piece. Blair couldn't waste time, and had to construct a new one. After all the work of a starving artist was one that truly shined. It was with that, hu proceeded to go down the hallway, in an entirely random direction.

Blair simply hoped that the confusion from all the more rowdier prisoners would be enough to distract. For he had to go find a new hallway to construct her newest painting! After all an artist's job was never done.

Outbreak growled and walked past him, pushing into the robot's shoulder aggressively. He walked up to the Warden that was covering the distribution of the bracelets. He held out his hands, "Uncuff me," he said simply. His expression indicated that he wasn't up for a 'no' as an answer.

@Maxwelle

Yumi half-jogged into the mess hall, wheezing and panting.

"I'm.... present." she gasped, walking over to grab a tray of food. She knew she shouldn't have expected anything of particular quality, but this wasn't very good.

A thought occurred to the young kitsune: she should apply for kitchen duty. Surely she could whip up something tasty, even with these meager ingredients.

"I'll ask if that's a duty I can have after eating." she said to herself, walking over to the tables. She still didn't know a lot of people, so she decided to sit alone today. But that wouldn't be so bad, seeing as she still had her best friend. Yumi reached into her pocket.

"Oh. That's right...." her ears drooped, as she gave a defeated smile at her tray. Her pet rock had been confiscated when she got transferred here.

Bored, Genevieve headed back to the mess hall. What to do, what to do... Spotting a young girl with fox ears looking rather depressed, she headed over and sat across from her. "Hey, there." she said with a small wave. Then she rested her elbows on the table and interlocked her fingers, resting her chin in between them. Someone who looked harmless like she did? This could be interesting.

Othni gave the convict a once over. With a shrug, she pulled out a key. "Your bracelets on, I don't see the harm. Just don't chew off your hand, please." Unlocking the cuffs, he placed the key back into his pocket and walked away.

Alice also laughed at his joke. "I know what you mean its not like where in a prison or anything is it." Alice said smirking before it seemed they were getting down to more interesting talk. "So you can do something with it then, hm could help us get a advantage on the guards if anything goes haywire." Alice whispered he suspected they would be put in the same wing but she didn't, normally males and female would be in separate wings to avoid 'sticky situations'. "Aren't males and females normally separated?" Alice asked just so that if need be they could think of some other way to communicate at night. Alice nodded. "This place is very interesting indeed." Alice said smiling. "The only thing I have done is well destroy my ring and make someones nose bleed." Alice said before something popped into her head. "WE NEED A!" Alice shouted before going quiet and coughing. "We need to get that chip Othni had, if we want to tinker with the bracelets. I think it has something to do with some sort of security measure in the chip."

@Maxwelle)

(@Bills352 It was the case until everyone almost died. Though, if you want I can awake Max and start them. It's just annoying controlling 4 characters haha. Next Scene: Breaking news! Meteor falls from sky and crushes nurse. What a shame...)

Akane finished her meal and took a look around the cafeteria. Incompetent guards, belligerent cons, countermeasures that never worked- yep, same as usual. She thought for a little bit, toying with the cuff. In theory, they were supposed to dampen or shut off a person's powers. In practice, the things were basically useless. Hell, if Akane were a betting girl ( andshe was), she'd say half the cons had already figured out how to bypass the things.

I wonder...

She walked up to the guard and grabbed a few more null cuffs from him, "Gonna need these. Give the warden my regards."

Kai finished distributing his bracelets and sat down, he was glad he didn't have to get one of those things put onto his wrist. The guard calmly sat in his chair, making sure no lunch room brawls occurred. He personally doubted that it would happen, but you never know with people in incarceration.

Blair continued xis wandering through the hallway. She did a little spin before giggling, "Oh what work of art shall I employ next?" He tilted his head as zhe tapped pher cheek. The androgynous child continued to roam through the hallway. The starving artist glanced at the cells before shaking his head.

"No, no, no." She said as xe gave a huff. "Hn, I could always play nicely and go to the designated section. Buuuuuut artistic expression is unbridled and as such I shall simply choose an area that seems fit." Blair gave a single nod and pranced through the halls, searching yet again for another good wall.

Max sat up slowly, rubbing her head. That damned convict... With an icy expression, she stood up and began to wash and dress. I can't imagine what else mightve happened while I was here. Tomorrow, They'd learn to work together if it killed them.

Kai continued his observation until he spotted Akane taking a pair of cuffs. He instantly stood up and began to walk her way. He then simply asked her,"Mind explaining why you just took those cuffs?"

@Nautilus

"And where might you be headed, darling? The mess hall's thataway, not thisaway." A guard leaning against the wall addressed Blair as zhe pranced by. She seemed bored, and why wouldn't she be? A stationary post is nowhere near as exciting as patrolling the halls with the convicts. "You look a bit young to be causing trouble."

Harry watched carefully the long queue of prisoners that were about to get the new nullifier bracelets. Finally, the warden listened to his warnings about how dangerous was to let criminals on steroids loose, although maybe a bit too late: this decision probably came after that ugly riot some weeks ago, which almost took the life of three guards and one prisoner. None of that would had happened if they had decided to listen to him earlier, but everyone here seemed to trust these crazy bastards to behave. Obviously, Harry knew better.

However, this time the line seemed unusually calm. The typical edgy individuals were here and there, as always, but luckily for everyone nobody had decided to pick a fight. This was suspicious for the veteran cop. Were the convicts planning something?

The hard cop decided to roam near the queue, back and forth, in hopes he could observe some suspicious behavior. Whispers, message passing, concealed weapons...

Turned out he was right. His attention was grabbed by two convicts who were having a suspicious conversation over whispers. Harry decided to approach them, in hopes of letting them know they were being watched. "Is there any problem, kids?"
