PROLOGUE
A pack gathers at the mouth of an ancient skull, their pelts darker than a night without stars. Their growls echo softly, as they patiently awaited. After a moment, a pair of red eyes emerges from deep within the skulls gaping mouth, the shadows concealing his identity, wrapping around him like a blanket of darkness.
“Tonight, we move.” He growls, the others had fallen silent the moment the senses his presence, yet their eyes glimmered with desire. “We have done our business in this land, and it will forever cry with the memories of our presence.” He barks, which is returned with satisfied growls of agreement. “The scouts have reported thriving land, yet it is inhabited by the very creatures we despise.” The red eyes close for a moment, before reopening even fiercer than before. “We will destroy them, and claim the land as ours. No longer shall wolves have to hide in fear, or face the cruel betrayal of man! We shall rain down upon them, and show them that no wolf will bow to such despicable creatures!” His voice deepens into a massive growl, and the wolves crowded around begin to shift and growl, their pelts bristling in excitement. “We shall slaughter them all!” He howls, in turn what sounded like hundreds joined him, their merciless call echoing with horrifying beauty.

Jackson
Location :: Pack Cabin
Feeling :: Drowsy
Interactions :: Storm
Jackson slowly ventures out of his room, rubbing his eyes softly. His dreams were odd, he can’t remeber them but he still felt the looming feeling of danger.
With a sigh the alpha walks down the stairs of the cabin he owns, while not all his pack members reside in his cabin, some do. It’s usually the meeting spot, and where they are free to be whatever form they desire to be, though Jackson prefers if they keep their paws outside if they are dirty.
He slowly wanders into the kitchen, just as his sister his about to walk out the door. “Good morning.” He says softly, which causes her to jump. “I didn’t hear you, good morning.” Storm says softly, “I’m going out for a bit, I’ll see you in a few hours.” Storm says gently before quickly rushing out the door.
Jackson huffs softly, “so much for family bonding.” He yawns, smirking before going to the counter and beginning to brew some coffee and boil water in a kettle for the other pack members who enjoy tea.
After a few moments he pours himself a mug of freshly brewed coffee, adding in sugar and creamer before leaning against the counter, watching the snow float towards the ground softly. It had been snowing for days, yet the snow was still easy to navigate through, especially in their Shifted forms.
He sips his coffee, unable to shake the feelings from his dream, more reports of humans being mauled have been surfacing recently, and while the pack has caught scents they have been unable to truly find the ones responsible. Yet the last week has been quiet, and Jackson just hopes that the slaughter was a passing group, not one that intends to stay.
Storm
Location :: The Forest
Feeling :: Calm
Interactions :: Jackson
Storm was startled by her brothers sudden appearance, she tells him good morning before quickly leaving the cabin.
She inhales deeply, the icy air coursing through her lungs refreshingly. Once she was far enough from the cabin, she shifts into her wolf form. While she was larger than an average wolf, she was smaller than the rest of her pack mates, this never truly bothered her though.
She slowly trots through the thick snow, the breeze ruffling her thick white fur. Nature calmed her, and it was a morning ritual of hers to walk through the forest to her usual spot, just beneath a large overhang of rocks where a herd of moose usually wander.
It didn’t take her long to arrive, but she was a tad late as the moose were already in the area. She crouches low and silently stalks her way under the overhang, it was dry and slightly warm as usual. She rests her head on her dainty paws, watching the moose graze and some even spar playfully. The calves she had watched be birthed were growing larger now, and resembling their massive parents more ever day.
Her blue eyes were calm, as she watched the herd which was so blissfully unaware of her presence, not that she had any interest in hunting them anyways, the cabin was stocked with more than enough food.
Storm sighs softly, watching her smoky breath dance across the snow and dissipate as if she hadn’t even taken the breath in the first place. She was calm, and relished in the peaceful moments of morning as the sun rose over the distant trees, causing the snow to shimmer beautifully.
