Lazy day. Eating too much and drawing dragons.

That sounds relaxing. My cat had a vet appointment and then I took a two hour nap. I needed it though! One of our boarding dogs bloated a few hours after I groomed it. My boss had to rush it to the E-Vet and he had emergency surgery. He's doing ok today.

It's definitely anxiety-inducing. His owners are in Europe and my boss couldn't get ahold of them so she went ahead and had the surgery done. He would have died if she hadn't.

Update, my boss was finally able to get ahold of the owners. They were very thankful and said we did the right thing!

I'm thankful your boss was able to save the dog's life, and the owners are suitably grateful. I used to foster for the Humane Society in my area, and, as much as I miss it, I had to stop because the animals I took in were in such rough shape from abuse, just thinking about now, years later, makes me want to sob helplessly. I love animals.

In other news, I'm sad my weekend is done. I need another day off.
