English was difficult for the Grum to learn--since each sound had to be one note; the opposite of her native tongue. “Well, it’s more normal for me, but I can talk about the differences from humans that I’ve seen since the Academy.” She waved her middle handfeet, “Beyond the obvious ones.” She trilled a laugh, trying to make it louder than before. “Did you hear that? Some of the vocalizations are outside of human hearing, but I admittedly forget which ones.” Listen rubbed underneath her chin, trying to figure out how to explain what was innate to her. “They tell us everything about the other person--how we’re feeling, what we’re thinking of. I suppose the equivalent is body language the humans have, but I’m still working on understanding everything about that."
