"I'm going to be the best partner I can, and No One's going to stop me~!"

War was unconscious when he was warped back to the lobby. He groaned in pain as he laid there. War’s clothes were cleaned of blood as he was warped, but his injuries weren’t healed like when he first arrived in this competition. War had little injuries visible but if someone lifted up his shirt or rolled up his school jacket sleeve of his left arm, they see that he was covered in dark bruises all over the front of him and his entire left forearm seemed to be one massive bruise. Some the damage seemed to be internal bleeding too.

As War laid on the couch, he groaned and mumble something in his unconscious state. In his mind a mirror image of him appeared in front of him. The only difference was his eyes. They weren’t red like War’s was but a purplish color. “Who are you!?” War demanded as he glared at the person. “Haven’t we gone over this…I am Wors. I am you or rather you are me…” He said responding with an annoyed look. “No! You can be…that’s impossible!” War yelled at the guy but Wors sighed. “No it’s not. We’re a split personality of one soul, which made one soul separate into two.” Wors explained as he looked at the frustrated War. “If that’s true why haven’t you showed yourself till now?” War said still glaring at him. “Why you ask…?” Wors said as he looked off to the side. “Well I could say that it was you who was…Since you are the bigger soul.” He said the last bit under his breath. “But that be a lie. It’s actually the anti-demon wavelength taking favor over you and allowing you to use it.” Wors said as he then looked back at War with a smirk. “While I been succumbed by the wavelength and about to fade away, I able to adopt a power to keep my existence around; the madness of despair.” He said as he looked at War as a purple aura emitted from around Wors. War looked at it in shock. “How the-!?” He said as he watched Wors. “Oh don’t worry about this, you’re just falling abit in despair. Here let me help you fall faster.” Wors said as he slowly walked up to War. “Now think about how you failed those villagers and protecting their light…” He said. “No…! It wasn’t our-“ He was cut off by Wors as he got closer. “Think about that demon girl; How you failed to stop her from expending her power and putting her and you in a vulnerable state.” War shook his head fiercely as he clenched is eyes shut. “No Stop!” War yelled. War felt bad enough as is fr his mistake and didn't want it rubbed in his face..not yet anyways. “Better yet, think about how you cheated on your own partner with another woman.” Wors said with a smirk. “I would Never!” War said as he looked up at Wors with anger filled eyes. A weapon being used by another besides their partner or family was like cheating....or so how War viewed it. But he didn't have a choice through the battle. War was then surprised that Wors was stand right in front of him, and was so close when he opened his eyes. “Just give up and fall to despair with your guilt!” Wors said as he reached up for War’s face.

War started to fidget around on the couch as he spoke a bit and growled in his out cold state. It was like he was having a nightmare or something.

(Anyone can reply to this just tag me or whatever to let me know. Also everything in bold is what War is mumbling in his unconscious state.)

A thick darkness encircled Skye, and the next minute, she saw herself in the same lobby she had first arrived. She narrowed dark red eyes at her surroundings, becoming even more irritated by the sudden shifting as if she was a puppet. The thought of those filthy invisible gods warping her from one point to the next made Skye did an almost unthinkable act; a beautiful Vase stood close by on a glass stand which was sudden shattered into pieces. Yes, she took hold of the artifact, smashing it into the ground. It was also mainly the fact that she was in the middle of a fight alongside the sword demon....wait...

Skye lifted her head upwards, eyes scanning for the sword demon. There, he laid in the couch, with eyes seemingly closed while talking to himself. With a soft sigh, she went closer to him, but, suddenly noticed that something was terribly wrong. War was acting quite strange.....

"War....Are you alright....?" Dark brown eyes narrowed with concern for the guy. As she got closer, both hands balled into tight fists by natural instincts, as if expecting an act...

"I'm going to be the best partner I can, and No One's going to stop me~!"

In War’s mind, Wors’s hand grabbed War’s face and covered his eyes. Wors then leaned in and to him and whispered. “And one last thing….you are nothing without me.” He said then grabbed war’s left arm and a sudden surge of pain went through him, shocking him awake. “AH!” War yelled as he quickly sat up and grabbed his left arm. He looked at it with a pained look. The spike had protruded from his left arm and from a bruise. ‘Damn…It even hurts to transform now…’ He thought then slowly retracted it. It even hurt returning to his body. War thought about the last bit that Wors said to him. “What did he mean by that…?” He asked himself quietly. He then heard his name and looked up to see who it was. He looked up to see it was Skye. As he looked up at her one his eyes were purple but faded back to red. “Oh hey Skye, I’m alright just a bit injured.” He lied as he rubbed the back of his head with his head. He was trying not to think about his failure and cheating...

A thought then came to War; they were in a battle field. With in realizing this, War quickly got to his feet and his forearms turned to blades. Another shocking pain then hit War and it forced him to one knee. War grunted in pain as his right arm turned back to normal and grabbed his left bladed arm. He then looked up and noticed that they were back in the lobby. He looked around surprised then back to Skye. “We’re back in the building…? Did we win…?” He asked her as he wondered what happened.

@Dark Child

With a concerned look, Skye lowered herself before him.

"We were in the process of succeeding, but the gods have us as if we are some sort of puppet.." Skye gritted her teeth, her fists tightening, "...but, you do not seem to be in good shape." She then placed a hand on his shoulder lightly, noting how injured his arm was. Staring deeply at him, she placed the other arm on the other shoulder.

"I believe there is a healing bath somewhere around that is able to heal wounds." She stated, as she stood to her feet, pulling him upwards gently. Skye wondered for a moment, why she was still this nice towards the sword demon. It was rather strange to be outwardly nice towards someone else. Yes, she showed concern for others, but never in this fashion.

"Is there anything you wish to tell me...? You were acting quite strange some moments ago..." Skye wasn't a fool, neither was she easily fooled. She knew that something wasn't quite right with him. Still, it didn't mattered much. Prying into one's business was never her style. Her face became hard, concern still shown through her features...

@Kishune

Kora flinched as she was suddenly pulled from the strange area she was previously in, and pushed into a room of some sorts. It seemed to be made of this strange shiny material that was a pure white that bothered her pupils. Blinking furiously, the shifter hissed, trying to protect her eyes with her hands. One of the reasons she was most grateful for living at the Cirque was that the lights were mostly dim, and here, the lights burned bright enough to hurt her eyes. After a minute or two of blinking, the room started to form in her vision as her pupils contracted and dimmed the room for her.

Peering around as the room slowly came into view, she saw a lot of people around her, and her ears instantly flattened to her head. Groaning softly, she assumed a defensive position and backed up, eventually backing herself into a small corner before she slid down and to the floor, waiting out whatever hell this was that was happening around her.

"I'm going to be the best partner I can, and No One's going to stop me~!"

War looked at Skye as she lowered herself in front of him. When she told them that they were succeeding, but were pulled back like puppets, War looked down to the ground. “Let’s hope that was a fake scenario where none of that was actually real…The villager’s problem I mean.” War said sadly. War could sense the frustration in her voice when she used the word ‘Puppet’. War would be as angry as her if he wasn’t a living took himself. When Skye placed bother her hands on his shoulders and told him about the hot spring. He nodded at her. “Yeah you’re talking about the hot spring…I Had to go there once already from the preliminaries.” He told her as she stood up. He then slowly turned his left arm back to normal, and it pained him to do so.

War then placed his right hand on his chest. ‘I wonder if it will work on internal damage...?’ War thought as he looked at himself. The blast from the failed Resonance with Wors was similar to being struck from Soul Menace/Soul Force that some can do to back in his world. It attacks the soul itself and can causes internal damage, and a lot of it. With this, War be lucky to have just ruptured muscles, and no actual organ damage since his Armor skin was up.

War then looked at Skye with some surprise as she helped him up. “Uh thanks…” He said as he looked at her sadly. He still felt bad for failing her. When she asked if he had anything to tell her he looked back at her surprised. “I-I…” War Hesitated and looked down sadly. “I just wanted to say I’m sorry for failing you. I had a feeling of you exhausting you powers but I didn’t act on it. You then exhausted yourself to the point of passing out…I Just feel like I let you down…A weapon is suppose to protect the Miester, Even from themselves.” He said as he looked away as he gripped the skull design on his shirt. He felt really bad for it and wouldn’t blame her if she hated him for it.

@Dark Child

Skye stared him deeply in his eyes, with hands now placed in her pockets. At least, there still resides pockets from the already tattered pants; its accompanied jacket, all ripped in several areas, blood marks littered around it.

"Hmm....you did more than enough as a sword demon. That meiser you have there should be proud to have you...." Skye stated with a hint of sadness in the tone, then turning her eyes away from him. "Remember you protected my sleeping body. Who knew what would have happened while I lay asleep..?" Skye laughed slightly, deciding to remove the torn jacket from around her, revealing a slight bruise around the upper area, dried blood which had seeped through the bandage which wrapped her breasts perfectly. She sighed once more, as she took an apple from the pouch, chewing on the fruit.

"I must say thank you once more for everything. We fought alongside each other well...the others.....the others fought alongside each other just the same.." A small smile appeared on thin lips, the juices dripping slightly from them..

"I'm going to be the best partner I can, and No One's going to stop me~!"

War looked at Skye as she said he did enough for a Sword Demon, and that his miester be proud of him. He then looked down sadly as he thought about Thea. “To be honest…I think she wouldn’t even care. I think she’s still hung up on her first weapon…” He told her as e thought about how she acted every time it was mentioned. He then sighed as he looked back at Skye as she told him he protected her. He nodded in agreement and watched her take off her jacket. War blushed a bit seeing her bandage covered breasts and looked away a bit to keep from staring. War then glanced back at her realizing the injuries she had. “You better head to the hot springs yourself. You have some injuries to attend to as well.” He told her as he wondered if she got them from when he separated from her and fought the trolls and ice beast. He then heard her say she must thank him for everything, and that they fought alongside each other well…and mentioned the others. He slightly smiled at her and nodded again. “I must actually thank you. If you haven’t thought of wielding me, I never would have been able to recover stamina to continue fighting.” He told her with a smile. “If you ever want to do it again, we can.” War said as he looked at her. The words of Wors then came back to him but War tried to ignore them."

@Dark Child

"Ah....the hot springs would suit us well. And.....I would love to be your partner if you do not mind. It is such a pity she doesn't take much consideration for you." Skye stated bluntly, eating the last of her apple. Placing both hands on er hair, she loosed the string which had held her red hair in place, falling beautifully down her back. She ran long fingers through it, as a small blush formed on her cheeks...

"Well...how shall we use this hot spring? I have never been in one, but it does sound similar to my homemade hot baths that I usually take. Also....do both opposites share the same hot spring..?" Her blush became even more evident, turning her head further away from War. Placing both hands in her pockets once again, she turned towards him, not caring if her cheeks revealed her slight embarrassment.

"I'm going to be the best partner I can, and No One's going to stop me~!"

War looked to Skye as she said the Hot spring would suit them. When she said his love to be his partner, War blushed more till he heard her speak about his partner Thea. “She’s just not the type to think of others…At least not ones that make a bad first impression.” He said quietly meaning himself. War then noticed Skye letting her hair down. Seeing how beautiful she looked with her hair down made him blush even more. ‘Wow she’s actually looks great with her hair down.’ He thought then realized what he was thinking. He then shook his head to get the thought out. This defiantly wasn’t how War was back in the challenge; calm, level headed and focused. Now he was a bit nervous and couldn’t focus, like his mind was somewhere else.

As Skye looked asked about the hot spring War looked at her surprised. When she said she never been to one, War understood. “I see what you mean. There’s nothing really special about how you go about it…” He was cut off and caught off guard by her question about gender mix baths. War’s face pretty much lit up bright red when he heard that. “Well uh…I don’t know if they allow mix baths…but I at least they have one for each gender…” War said as he looked away and rubbed the back of his head. “But the hot springs…it’s like taking a bath with others…They even provide swimwear for those who would be modest around others…” He explained to her as he kept looking away but the blush was evident on his face. He didn’t know how to react to that question, other than explain about the hot spring to her. He didn’t feel like asking why she wanted to know that or want to turn out like a creep to her for wanting to know…depending on the answer.

"I see.... A bath we shall have together then. I hope you do not mind." Skye stated bluntly as she stared in deeply in his eyes. She wasn't quite sure how much he would react to this, but, she hoped that he would not find her strange. Everyone found her strange. She had no problem baring herself naked before her master while in her homemade baths. It was a regular routine for them both after a long day of sparring. Sharing long talks and small laughs was the regular. But, baring herself before another....she felt much eager and embarrassed all at once. Maybe....it was quite possible for them to share the same talks and laughs.....

"It is best we head there now. I fear the gods may have their way with us once more soon." Skye looked at him with flushed cheeks, not bothered by how heated they felt.

"I'm going to be the best partner I can, and No One's going to stop me~!"

War looked at Skye rather surprised when she said they’ll share a bath together. Just the thought of it was enough to make War rocket away with a nose bleed but he been resisting to not seem weird to her. When she asked if he didn’t mind, War gulped as her looked at her as he slightly tugged on his shirt collar. “Well It really isn’t up to me…I not really sure that they would allow mix bathing or not. I only been there once.” He told her nervously. When she suggested that they head to the hot spring before they were thrown into the next challenge, War nodded in understanding but was still blushing as hell. “I know, what you mean but they should at least give us the rest the day to recuperate.” He told her. “I’ll lead you to the hot springs though." He said as he gestured in the direction of the hot springs.

(@Dark Child I already asked and there is at least a day between challenges, and there's no mix bathing in the hot spring either. Also I'll let you start off in the hot spring thread.)

(@KingHink to the lobby!)

Walking back with Rudy, Outbreak smirked, like a child that's just been let in on a secret. "What kinda fun did I have in mind? Well... I was hoping we could to Aldur's cave a beat the shit out of some monsters," he said. "Only thing is, I don't even know where the cave is at? Do you happen to know where?" Outbreak asked. Despite having been here for quite some time, it was true. But then Outbreak got thinking. When was the last time he slept. This realization sank on him heavily. "Actually..." Outbreak said, his expression slowly withering to one of slight worry. "I just noticed that I haven't slept in a while," he said, mentally scolding himself for being so eager to fight that he hadn't even gotten a good rest, that he'd especially need for the next round. "Hate to kill the party plans but I'm thinking of going to get some shut eye," Outbreak told Rudy. Giving him a light punch he'd give a temporary farewell and looked for a spot to sleep on a couch or chair. Finding one, he throw himself on it, getting comfortable. Suddenly, his eyes felt heavy. This was a badly needed rest. Soon enough, Outbreak drifted to sleep.

"I'm going to be the best partner I can, and No One's going to stop me~!"

When War stopped yelling back in the forest, he looked back at Rudy as he asked if he believed his shadow. "It's not just that...I'm pissed about a lot of stuff right now..." He told him with a rather unpleasant look. War was frustrated about how this competition was treating them, but not as much as Skye or Rudy though. He was also made that he may have to leave Skye behind after this competition as well when it ended. And there was a lot more than that too.

As the fog started surround everyone and everything, War growled as he thought the gods were going to pull something else. As the fog thickened enough to where War couldn't see anything in front of him. War prepared for anything to happen. He expected that they multiply the shadows again or something since this challenge seemed to revolve around the shadows. As the fog lessened War noticed that he was back in the lobby again. He sighed as he looked himself over. War had plenty of open wounds on him mostly on his forearms and torso. And if War lifted his shirt and revealed his stomach, people think he had glass shattered across it or had shrapnel blasted in him. War sighed as he placed his hand on hiss stomach. "Guess it's to the hot springs again..." He said then blushed thinking of the time he spent with Skye in the hot springs. He then shook his head to try and get rd of the blush before another noticed.

Without a moment's notice, the scenes before Skye faded rapidly, a shroud of white encircled her. Skye watched in silence, as the lobby appeared in view, though the lobby seemed much different. It was as if she had arrived in a fair. There were many attractive rides which sat willingly, waiting for anyone to take charge of itself.

Skye stood there not knowing how to react to the events which had her nearly traumatized. Strong-willed, yes, but it was too much. Having suppressed her emotions during the competition, and having to see her younger past events which had led to her parent's death, along with her cat, had made her angry. Skye slowly glanced below her, as she saw the very same swords below her feet which had fell from her hands during the mind torture. Reaching for them slowly, she placed them in their sheaths behind her back, walking aimlessly with large amounts of thoughts and replay sessions through her mind. It was as if she wasn't fully aware of her surroundings, though she was.

Her mind briefly thought of War.... Had he been through the same challenge..? If so, How had he managed...? The gods were truly a set of sadistic bastards, and here she thought, she was a true sadist. Placing fingers around the bite wounds she had receive from the shadow, she felt a stinging sensation, almost falling to her knees. Decided that the hot springs would be best, and not wanting War to notice the bite marks around her, she walked quietly to the ladies' hot spring, ignoring everyone...

Lady...

A slow, effort-filled awakening, the hulking knight's mangled form sprawled across the Lobby floor, helmeted head planted face-down on the ground. While the rest of the body remained motionless, the working arm slowly rose, hand braced to slowly level the torso upwards.

Quietly, the steel-gaze inspected the surroundings. A puzzling sight. The lobby, and seven other contestants. He was able to recognize the sharp-eared one with boots and gauntlets of solid metal. The knight had surrendered to his foe, after which the ordeal took a sudden end. Why did he remain here...?

Questions had to wait, the ice was slowly thawing and breaking, already allowing thin streams of blood to escape from the hole in his chest and his ruined arm. Heavily, the knight rose from the slowly-increasing puddle of life fluid, beginning to turn towards the door that would lead to the healing springs, only to halt when his sight caught the violin placed upon the floor. The helmet dipped slightly, head crooked.

With a careful step, trying to keep the bullet-torn arm from swinging without control, the knight soon towered over the instrument. A remarkable work of rosewood, most certainly of more professional - and advanced - make than his own. He recalled beholding the owner's spectacle in the preliminaries. Looking around the room, the unknown musician was nowhere to be seen, nor did anyone else try to seize the fiddle. This left only one assumption.

Focusing on the instrument again, his thoughts wandered.

A feeling of... familiarity. This violin had lost its Lady. No one here would claim it, damning the construct to be either removed or slowly rot here.

Lightly, the claw grasped the handle and bow, raising the violin for appraisal. He would not discard his old instrument, a gift as it had been. But certainly, a man with proper technique resting in the fingers could bring two to equal climax?

Musing, the knight made for the healing-area, carrying the violin with him.

Erin was surprised to find herself back in the lobby and glanced around the area with great interest. She wasn't dead! She looked down at herself, pinching her arm just to make sure. The pain was enough for her to be sure that she wasn't dead! But.... where was Chastity?

"Chassie?" Erin called out, her voice echoing oddly through the chamber and making her uncomfortable. Had the gods killed her friend? They had said they were ready to kill both of them. Chastity wouldn't have hit the button, would she have? Erin was about to go searching for her when a familiar violin caught her eye.

Fredrick! She said, heading in the direction of the violin she was too little too late to actually lay claim to it. Not that she wanted it, she just wanted to know where Fredrick was and thought he may be near the instrument.

"Um... scuse me?" Erin called, scuttling after the man that looked like he had walked out of a story book. Then again, everyone did.. but he looked like he came from a book she had read once upon a time. "Scuse me, sir? Do you know where the violin player is?" He must have known, right? Why else would he be taking the violin. He was headed for the hot springs so perhaps Fredrick was there? Erin didn't even allow herself to consider the alternatives.

@Unwavering Knight

Gone...

RubyRose said:
"Scuse me, sir? Do you know where the violin player is?"
The armored frame froze, helmeted head slowly turning to focus on the small form. A child, by appearance. But considering the past challenges and the pressure of the gods, could this one truly still be considered such...?

Putting the thought on hold the knight replied "I know not, milady. I only know..." he raised the instrument to his helmet "... this one's Lady would not return. We share... similarity. I have no wish to abandon it."

@RubyRose

It was kind of intimidating having the helmet turn towards her. It reminded her of the horror movies where the suit of armor decorations would follow the main characters as they moved down the hallway. Erin decided that just not being able to see someone's eyes when you're speaking to them is fairly disconcerting, but she pushed this all to the back of her mind when the man spoke.

She would have smiled at being called 'milady' but that he didn't know where Fredrick is, and that he was taking the man's violin, was concerning to Erin. He didn't seem to be a thief.. he had picked it up and left in broad daylight. Why wasn't Fredrick there to stop him? Where was he? And Euli? And Chastity? Where had everyone gone? Why was Erin alone? She bit back the tears threatening in her eyes at the fear and the not knowing.

"W-What do you mean the Lady will not return? Fredrick is a boy." She said. "He would never just leave his violin! Fredrick wouldn't abandon it!" Erin said, latching onto what she understood. She knew what abandonment meant... though most of the knight's words were strung together in a fashion Erin found confusing.

@Unwavering Knight

Fleeting...

"Gender matters not. This one's Lady is this one's one and only Lady. Likewise, it is doubtful this one's Lady truly abandoned it. The sentiment lingers deep within the wood, yearning for the soothing plucking of its Lady's bow. In time, this sentiment will reunite them." the knight spoke with utmost certainty, even while the pool of blood beneath him spread further.

He had no time to lose, staying here would mean exsanguination. Turning for the path to the healing springs, he continued speaking "I merely wish to share... comfort. Being alone... being left to yearn... it is a sad and painful thing."

@RubyRose

Erin was even more confused. The knight was making about as much sense as the time she tried to read a book that was in German. She had thought that if she focused hard enough that she would be able to read it. No such luck, though. She was going to question him further when red caught her attention and she noticed that there was red pooling around the knight's feet. "Are you alright?" She followed as he continued on the way to the healing spring. She hadn't been in that room, yet, and wondered what it was like.

"Well you don't have to be alone! I mean, the violin is gonna be great company because musical instruments are awesome! And it's magical! But... I mean... you can talk to me if you want, too?" She said. She didn't want to be alone, either, and was trying not to think about how she could count the people in the lobby and how she hadn't seen Euli, Fredrick, or Chastity among them. "My friends are... missing... like the Lady of that violin. I haven't seen him in a long time and... I'm scared something bad happened to him and Euli and Chastity. Chassie and I were stuck in a room together and the gods said we had to kill the other or they'd kill both of us and she said she was going to get me out in one piece but... I mean... you don't think she died, do you? The gods... they wouldn't actually kill anyone...?" Erin wasn't really known to go rambling to strangers but she was under a lot of stress and she needed someone she could confide in. And her friends were no where to be found so... well... the knight had felt a connection to the violin... so it couldn't be so terrible to talk to him, could it?

@Unwavering Knight

Gods...

"If she did not die in your match... I do not believe she is gone. The gods have a strange system by which contestants are judged, it would seem. In my match, my foe and I were set to kill eachother in an environment that threatened to freeze us. I surrendered before he could die and assumed I would be obliterated, but instead I find myself here..." his harsh voice resounded noticeably more quietly than usual.

Pushing open the door to the springs, the sight was free to admire the tropical spring. Carefully maneuvering down the stone-hewn staircase, the knight placed the violin at the edge of the pool before settling into the water. A strange sight, Helbrecht assumed a fetal position, arms slung around the knees.

"Those that die... those that lose... I believe they are returned without harm to their worlds, none of the wiser of their previous predicament...." the knight mused, hollow gaze held forward. Suddenly his helmeted head turned to focus on her again "If you died, would you wish to remember it?"

A... strange occurrence. Usually those of small stature naturally shied away from him. But this one had approached and kept speaking. She reminded him of his squire.

@RubyRose

Li had them talking--them. Voices. Familiar voices, one at least, but not the boy. Not the same boy that he had been speaking to. That voice was gone. It had been replaced with an eerie, buzzing shutter as the helmet had gone off and then, in a moment, everything was blank and unforgiving.

Awaking with a malicious headache, hands clasped around his head as though to take off the helmet, Li realised freedom. He was in the lobby again. There were so few people here again and again....and he searched the horizon for Athene.

The headache had him stop while the voices continued. Trailing away towards the familiar spring. Li picked himself up and staggered that way, following the voices of the young witch as they had spoken of Fredrick. He'd heard that name he hoped, and if nothing else, he could tell Erin of the loss, now. Perhaps the Gods toyed with them both. He was alive, even though guilt riddled him for tricking his opponent to death. A young boy...and the spring couldn't wash away the emotional wounds. He'd tried that already.

"Are you looking for Fredrick?" Li asked, the burst of tropical air hitting his face and fogging up his glasses. It would probably help his headache, too. Whatever the electricity had garbled and spat out left him with holes in his distant memories.

@RubyRose

That actually made some sense to Erin and she nodded at the knight's words. She liked the idea that no one had died, though her expression turned to shock when he said that he was set to kill someone else. She supposed she shouldn't be too surprised.... she and Chastity had been set to kill one another as well. "Why were you going to surrender?" Erin asked, curious. It was interesting that he had surrendered and been saved. Perhaps it was part of the game the gods were playing.

Erin was in awe of the springs as she and the knight entered the room. She observed as the knight curled up into a ball in the water, but chose to sit at the edge herself. She didn't have any injuries and didn't think it fair to enjoy healing waters when she didn't need healing. "Without harm." Erin restated softly, remembering the worlds that Fredrick and Euli had spoke of. Were they back there? Or had Erin just completely failed in finding them in the lobby? And what about Chastity? Had she gone home because Erin was still here?

"If I died?" Erin said, rubbing at her chin. "Yeah because I wouldn't want to forget Euli and Fredrick and Chastity and Mr. Glasses. They're my friends and even though I'll miss them, I don't ever want to forget them." She would have continued, but a familiar voice accompanied by a familiar face spoke up.

"Mr. Glasses!" Erin squealed, leaping to her feet and rushing over to the doctor. She wrapped her arms around him, hugging him tightly before her brain processed the question. "You know Fredrick?! Yeah! I was looking for him! His violin was in the lobby and Mr. Knight picked it up and I don't think Fredrick would just leave the violin lying around! I'm also trying to find Euli and Chastity but I haven't seen them around. You know Euli... have you seen him? Do you know where Fredrick is? Where everyone else has gone?" Erin couldn't help the onslaught of questions, they spilled from her lips before she really thought about them. The fear for her friends was really starting to affect her.

Yearn...

"Why were you going to surrender?" Erin asked, curious.
"My opponent was dying and refused to yield. I had to surrender, otherwise the cold would have claimed him. The gods promised glory for the victor. I will not kill for glory. A knight must protect the weak and right the unrightable wrong." As he spoke, his ugly voice slowly gained new volume, the flesh and bone giving squelching noises as they were slowly reset and regenerated "As for Euli... I met him, in the second challenge. He survived without harm, though it appears he did not advance."
