[The Official RPN Character Challenge 2015]The Lobby!

Tetsuun raised his eyebrows, amused by the response. Ten thousand siblings. He wasn't sure if he was exaggerating, but if he wasn't, then that just seemed to further confirm that bug guy really was an oversized, talking ant. Not only that, but bug guy's behavior had an echo to the kids he had been dealing with throughout his life. He wasn't some fearsome monster to be handled with care; he was just stupid. Attention-seeking, perhaps, if he was going to casually mention abandoning his family, and he supposed some sort of colony of mutant insects as well. Tetsuun's smug expression faltered purely for being off-put by what he perceived as the strangeness of this all. He was much more relaxed now, however. He had survived this long, after all, without being mauled by any number of these strange creatures, in spite of his own provocation.

He was honestly irked by bug guy's consistent reference to his size, but it was something he was able to brush off now, knowing how surprisingly human the anthro was before him now. Nevertheless, the inquiry caught him off guard, making his expression blank. He was silent for a brief moment, thoughts of a little girl, pale with pigtails surfacing in his mind. "None of your business," he stated abruptly, squinting his eyes up to bug guy. No way was he going to start spilling anything out about his home life to this guy, or anyone in this room for, for that matter.

Just as he had gathered his wits again, bird guy approached him with an inquiry that left him even more blindsided. Bird guy approached now, his two pooches in tow. From where he was standing, Tetsuun could feel pulses of heat radiating off of them, which was steadily bringing a flush of warmth to his cheeks. It took him a moment to register and confirm what the man had said, both from the man's thick accent and disbelief once he was sure he heard him correctly, but then the message became clear: bird guy wanted to fight.

He had just begun to calm down, but now his heart felt like it was thudding painfully in his throat. It took a great deal of effort to not let these emotions reflect on his face, locking his panic inside him with a neutral stare. Everything was so strange here, he felt like whatever kind of combat that he would have to face would be completely foreign to him. Frantic visions of on of those dogs ripping into his flesh with searing fangs plague his mind, and he had already had to deal with burns in recent history. It wasn't something he was looking forward to going through again just as he had healed.

Why? It was the only thing he could think of to say amidst the chaotic swarm of thoughts in his mind, but the word caught in his throat. Bird guy standing before him was a complete enigma. Obviously he had received some serious blows to the chest, so what in the world made him think that it was practical to leave his chest exposed? Tetsuun was completely baffled by it all, and before he knew it, he simply wasn't responding at all - just staring up at him.

Dilan smirked at the thought of fighting "yeah I could go for some fights right now" he then rolled his shoulders to stretch a bit "I haven't punched anything in a few hours so this should be fun...." He said with a smug voice. Fighting was one of his favorite things to do right next to eating.

@Firelava @Pine

" Well if you are willing follow me, it isn't far from here. " Irea said. He had been itching to get really moving and find a decent fighter. He turned slightly and suddenly between the shoulder plate, the arm plates, and his helm his whole torso was shielded. The armor was designed for fighting from one angle, perfect for his cavalry fighting style on Freki. A close examination of his dogs would reveal the 5 foot long sword that hung loosely on Freki's riding harness. If you looked closely at the man himself the leg armor he wore would be slightly visible, mostly the feet. His legs where often his most vulnerable area, thus the best protected.

Grabbing the collar of the larger of the 2 Hell Hounds he pulled himself up to a riding position. Freki knew where to go, and the hounds started walkong forward. Flames licked over Dues Irea up to his chest, but left no mark. His feet secured into chains hanging off of areas that seemed positioned just for this.

@Penance @Pine

Tetsuun broke out of his thoughts when bug guy eagerly took up bird guy's offer, bringing a frown to the boy's face. No one asked you. Except apparently it was an open-ended question, seeing as bird guy was already prepping to leave. Tetsuun's countenance deepened all the more as plates of armor flashed into existence. What the- Why? It seemed to answer his question about the functions of bird guy's armor, though. Was it just invisible? How did he do that? He didn't even do anything. What?

The genin watched the two older males warily. He was okay with this. After all, he didn't want to fight them anyway. They could go on their way and beat each other up, it didn't matter to him. There wouldn't be any point of tiring himself before whatever challenges they were about to face. After all, he had so many better things to do. For instance, he could... Tetsuun's hands slipped into his pocket, looking around at the pockets of people, or rather, mostly people, all interacting with each other... having pleasant conversations... a nearby blonde boy attempting to court a skimpily dressed dark-haired girl... The corner of his lip twitched.

Maybe I'll just watch.

Dark eyes flitted back over to bird guy, who was hoisting himself atop one of the canines. He tried not to look surprised, considering at this point, he really should be expecting to see strange this. Tetsuun's best guess was that the armor was just heat resistant, but even then he was dubious. He lifted his hands out of his pockets to fold his arms over his chest. "This is stupid," he muttered under his breath, but followed after them anyways.

Dilan walked behind the man and looked at the hounds curiously 'so do those things just not require water or....?' He didn't seem to care that they were demonic looking animals or anything like that. He then turned around to the kid and smirked "oh? Having second thoughts?"

She smirked and chuckled a bit at his confusion with the fact that she was basically from a video game aimed towards children. Yes, Crocea was somehow aware that Pokemon was a video game in other universes. "Not necessarily, but I'm slightly interested in pretty much the same questions you asked me but directed towards you. Apart from the breast size thing, of course."

" They are Hell Hounds. Daemonic creatures, they don't even have to breath if they don't want to, but they can eat. Most water vanishes before they touch it. The only reason I can touch them is because my Grandmother is a Daemon Lord. The ancestry left me with certain inate abilities that are..... unusual" Irea said. His armor was only on his legs and arm. It was the way he moved that caused it to cover him.

EXITING TO PRACTICE ROOM ONE

"Not necessarily, but I'm slightly interested in pretty much the same questions you asked me but directed towards you. Apart from the breast size thing, of course."

Cyrus paused in thought as he considered her questions, which were his questions in actuality. None of them he really wanted to answer for various reasons. besides the breast size of course. he'd happily answer that. Revealing what he could do and what was special about him, while not really a huge problem, seemed like a better idea to keep a secret. Not for a tactical advantage mind you, but because he thought it'd be cooler if it was spontaneously revealed when it was needed instead of showcased in a show-and-tell. Why waste such an awesome moment now? Of course, there was a chance this girl would get eliminated during whatever challenges awaited, but he couldn't break his rule of cool; It meant too much to him.

Then there was his past. That was more personal, as he rarely talked about his past to people he wasn't close to. Not just in a way where they were friends, but in a way that he could feel comfortable talking about serious subjects freely. believe it or not, Cyrus felt awkward discussing his childhood. It wasn't because it was overly tragic or anything, but the sheer fact that he had to discard his sarcastic attitude and be serious for a change made him uncomfortable, blowing away his cool persona. Talking about other serious topics was no problem. He could find a way to still be laid back. Himself? Nah, he had difficulty with that.

"Well..." Cyrus hesitated as he scratched the back of his head, unsure of what to say. "I think I'll pass on revealing the trick I can do. Wouldn't want to spoil the surprise, would we? But I will give you a quick glimpse of it." As he said this, the boy pulled down the right side of his shirt to reveal a greyish gem, embedded right below his collar bone. It sparkled with an unusual light, yet surprisingly still appeared dull. After a few seconds he let go of the fabric and allowed it to cover back up the fascinating rock. "And that's all you're getting. Gotta keep the suspense built, right?"

"As for my past..." Once again Cyrus hesitated, except this time it was visible that he was thinking something up. There was no way he'd just leave it at 'I'd prefer to not say anything' as that wouldn't be very cool, or in other words it would be un-Cyrus like. Suddenly his finger raised, and the blond began to speak as if he were recalling events that he'd lived through. "I was born in a castle in a far away land with my father being the evil king, and of course me being the fine young lad that I am ran away from home at the age of 2. Don't ask about the age thing; You can obviously tell I was a prodigy. I went to the Arctic and trained with the polar bears for the next 13 years of my life until I returned to take the throne from my father. Long story short I beat up the local dragon with my hands tied behind my back, slayed my father, and have been ruling the kingdom ever since with a pantheon of adoring women at my side." Cyrus smirked, rather proud of the ridiculous story he'd made up on the spot. Was it believable? No, but it wasn't meant to be. "Oh, and I'm a D-cup. I just have a REALLY good bra on."

Luness decided it was odd enough in here with people discussing diseases, hell, and whatever the else these people were accustomed to in their own worlds. But the worst part was she hadn't the faintest idea what they all were truly talking about. That only served to frustrate her even more.

Turning to Kallin, Luness shook her head and then asked him, "Any ideas what these people are all talking about? Almost nothing they say makes sense to me. Diseases, hells, what kind of worlds did they all come from?"

Looking back at the crowd, Luness' one good ear flickered about, as she listened briefly to the various conversations around her. She could only imagine what kind of scenarios she was going to encounter with these people who she hardly knew, or understood for that matter.

Feather Fall was peacefully resting against a table within the oblivion, her tail curled against her hip comfortably and her eyes drooped downwards, flickering open ever so often; she was tired, as the night before she had been up completing school work. Different figures surrounded her, yet those same figures were scarcely noticed by the girl - distorted images and pictures of people appearing through a wavering waterfall became blurred. There were so many people, more than she could count. But Feather didn't care too much. For, this sleepy girl was simply fixed in her own world, head swaying side-to-side in a drowsy manner. Her voice was slurred, as if she had had a tad too much to drink, before her head was face-planted into the wooden surface of her chosen table. Clutched in her fingers lightly was a coffee mug, the remains of the liquid snaking around the bottom of the cup. Feather groaned once she glared into the small beverage, seeing cold brown water, before pressing her forehead against the table again.

It was a while before she woke fully up again, her amber eyes no longer flickering but her head alert, perking higher. Now, she could see more - hey, was that a vampire? Feather smiled; she hadn't seen supernaturals on several occasions. Maybe because she thought they were extinct - or that she had ignored them for she was concerning safety as an issue. Werewolves - even some stereotypical nerd snorting and hugging his textbooks as if it were a bear.

"I would really believe this is an asylum," Feather admitted to herself with a giggle, further observing the selection of people and collection of unique walking or unwalking beings. "If I didn't know where I stood; ah, still I surprise I'm here."

Luness looked for Kallin where he had been but he was no longer there. He had wandered off and entered the door to a curious training room, run by someone called 'Aldur'

Now, as he faced the creature the orc had summoned for him he thought of Luness...the night setting in the arena had left him human and completely powerless...he really wished for her help.

Hearing no answer, Luness looked where Kallin used to be and said, "Kal-" But she stopped the moment she saw he was no longer there.

Growling at his absence, Luness sniffed the air and soon was on Kallin's trail, leading her straight to some door labeled a training room.

Curious, she opened it and entered.

Euli's ears twitched when he felt Erin's hand, and he nearly couldn't keep back a cat-like purr from escaping his throat. It would be pretty embarrassing to let out such a sound, let alone in front of all these people. Even if he was a Werecat, he would much prefer to keep his dignity intact. After just several seconds, the small hand replaced with a bigger one that touched his ear hesitantly. When the hand left, he looked up at the stranger, who introduced herself as Chastity.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Euli, and yep, these are all real." Euli gently poking at his cat ears and bringing his tail a bit closer to the young lady. He then diverted his attention to Fredrick, who has yet to get a feel of his ears. He shuffled closer to the bespectacled man with a mischievous smile. "Come on, aren't you going to pet me?"

Fredrick couldn't help but laugh as Euli offered. Of course since the others had gone it seemed he had to go with the flow as well. His hands reached for the top of Euli's head and sure enough the hair and ears where real. A bit flustered but enjoying the experience he simply smiled "I guess your a hit for the ladies in your world." as Fredrick pulled back thanking him with a nod. Looking at the new guest who introduced herself as Chastity it had seemed the group was in a very harmonious gathering. Was than that Fredrick noticed that there didn't seem to be any further strangers slipping through the door way. It had been awhile and from what he could count it seemed that whatever had gathered them here finished.

A growing nerve rose from his neck as he felt the possibility that something was about to change this peaceful gathering. Looking to the three new strangers he had come into contact with Fredrick tried his best to hide his nerves. The looming voice of the gods that echoed into the back of his mind reminded him this was not his world. The tension in the room was returning as he gazed over to the white void beyond. "I can only hope we can return safely..." the boy thought as he once more gazed at Euli the pink haired feline man, Chastity who's energetic style seem to swoop like a breath of fresh air, and Erin who from what eh could see would be the youngest of the group here. Gripping his violin Fredrick let off a simple laugh as he bowed to the group "As always it is a pleasure to see another bright face amongst this unique setup we are in." his eyes welcoming Chastity to their gathering. Whatever laid in store for these four was unsure, but for now Fredrick would try to keep their spirits up as well as his own.

Erin giggled when Euli asked if Fredrick was going to go ahead and pet him, as well. It was... strangely adorable to the youngest of the group, and it made her wonder just how catlike he really was. He hadn't seemed to mind the attention at all, nor did he seem to take offense to them petting him. Well, he did make the offer to allow being petted, too, so that made a little more sense. Erin giggles continued when Fredrick said Euli must have been a hit with the ladies. If the lady Chastity was anyone to go by, it was very likely. Besides, who wouldn't love such an adorable being? Especially a cat person with pink hair and ears.

Erin was completely at ease with the situation at hand. She had made some new friends and was less worried about being lost. She was fairly certain she'd be able to go home eventually... and until then she wasn't alone. It was sad to her, though, that after this it was very likely she would never see these people again. Unless, of course, this was the start of different worlds being connected... but somehow Erin didn't think so. It made her sad that for once she couldn't get phone numbers and e-mails and stay in contact, and the more she thought about this the sadder she became.

"It's nice not being in a shouty group." Erin added, assuming that's what Fredrick meant when he said 'unique' setup because, at least in Erin's opinion, they were the only group that wasn't being hostile towards one another. "Chassy," Erin said, not meaning to absolutely mangle the girls name... she thought it would be easier to say. It was easy enough to pronounce in her head. "What kind of world do you come from?" If the girl was going to join their little group, it was only fair that she tell her story, too. Besides, Erin was hoping it might brighten her mood a little because as it was she had a sinking feeling in her heart.

Despite the initial lightheartedness of everyone getting the chance to pet Euli, a pall seemed to settle over the little group. Chastity felt it, too; a sense of foreboding. It was natural, though, her own feeling, nothing to do with the empathy. That wasn't picking up a whole lot from the environment itself, despite the borderline overload from its inhabitants. The building felt... new, like it hadn't had the chance to pick up a whole lot; though it was suffused with an odd feeling, of... yearning? Wistfulness? She wasn't sure. She decided to ignore it for now.

"Chassy, what kind of world do you come from?"

Chastity bit the inside of her cheek to keep from giggling at the way the little girl stumbled over her name. She'd always hated it when adults- and no matter how immature and over her head she felt, she knew enough to understand that to any kid under sixteen she was an adult- laughed at her when she was young, and she had a bit of a feeling that she might've upset the kid a little by mentioning her height before. She just smiled instead, considering the question. What kind of world...? That would seem to indicate that they all came from different sorts of worlds, which made some sense, given Euli's... uniqueness, the other young man's (Frederick, she thought) attire, and the various unusual personalities she'd seen across the room. It was even possible that only she and Sapphire came from the same world. It was... both unnerving and exciting. This could prove the multiverse theory. Which might then provide more evidence for string theory. She thought. She needed to brush up on her layman's theoretical physics.

"Well," she began, "My world isn't really all that special. If clothes are anything to go by, it's at least pretty similar to the ones y'all two are from." She gestured at the cat-man and the girl. "Assuming that you have cars and TV and computers and America and stuff. And," she paused a moment, unsure whether she should spill the beans about powers and Inter. On the one hand, secrecy, on the other... multiverse where they were unlikely to run into enemies. Besides, none of these people radiated and powerful negative feelings. Just regular-person stuff, maybe with some hard knocks, but not the kind of thing you see with evil. "There's some people, just a few, who have special powers that nobody else knows about. I'm one of them. We're called the Protectors. There's this guy called Inter, and he's... bad. Very, very bad." She swallowed hard, and the Southern drawl started to creep into her voice. She still shivered at the memory of that feel, the sense of suffocating in so much fearpaindark. And she knew, knew, the way that she knew right from wrong and love from hate, that it was just the tip of the iceberg and the impression from the man himself would be so, so much worse. "He's hurt a lot of people." She wouldn't tell them about the last batch of Protectors, how they'd been so utterly decimated that Sapphire was desperate enough to pick up a weak shrinking violet like Chastity. That was Sapphire's story, not hers. "It's our job to stop him. It's..." Not going so well, at this point.

This was getting extremely depressing. She decided to change tacks.
"The powers can be really cool, though. Our leader, Sapphire- I actually saw her here, so y'all might get to meet her- she can create illusions. There's this one kid Percy who can summon creatures to fight, and this guy Patrick who can make portals, and this one kid Alex who has wings- he can use them to fly and everything! And Misty is basically an Earthbender and Lu is basically an Airbender. And then there's Eury, she can animate objects and make them move and stuff, and Rye, who can tell when people are hurt and heal them." Her eyes had brightened as she listed off her comrades and their skills. Ragtag as they may be, she was proud of her people and what they could do.

Her expression turned embarrassed as she remembered who she had left out from her list.
"And then there's me. My..." She couldn't quite bring herself to call it a power. "I'm not gonna be overdramatic and call it a curse, but sometimes it can be hard to see how it helps anything, you know? I guess you could call it empathy, except... it's not... real-time. I don't know what y'all are feeling right now, except for what you tell me and what I can see. But... I can sort of feel the... the way you are, I guess. The way you usually feel. And stuff that happened to you that was really big. I only know stuff that's already happened, that was powerful enough to leave an impression. Like... like if somebody died, or won the lottery, or just were in one place for years and years and felt a certain way for most of it." She decided not to go into detail about the drawbacks of it. Total strangers did not need to know about those. "It can be a little bit hard to deal with, sometimes. This building feels pretty new, though. There hasn't been a chance for a whole lot of people to wander through and leave bits of themselves behind. I'm only getting one feeling, and I think it's from the person who built this place. It's..." she prodded at the feeling again, focusing, getting a small flash of notice-me. She thought of Patrick, for some reason, and blushed, ducking her head a little. "Honestly, I'm not totally sure. And, um, in retrospect you probably weren't asking for such an info dump. I just do that sometimes." She grinned a bit awkwardly, shrugging.

Walking back into the lobby Dues Irea looked around. There where less thenthey had started with, implying that the Dark Gods had slain those that had disappointed. While he may not know what the "RPN" Gods where, the fact that he still had Freki and Geri proved that the Dark Gods had some influence here. He went to a corner of the lobby, and he burned a star of painful design into the ground. With the addition of a few circles he had completed a conflux. His Helhounds both layed down close by, ready to keep any from entering the circles that conected him to his Grandmother. Walking to the center of the star, each ring he walked past burned briefly before becoming a smoldering indent. Kneeling in the dead center the star flared momentarily. He could hear almost nothing, as if there was massive magical interference. All he could hear was a few disrupted words. " Go forward....... ttfg..... cfsfc........ win for us. " was all he could hear. Something, or someone, really was trying hard to lock out the Dark God communication with him. He hoped that his attempt didn't draw attention.

Outbreak felt everything go dark and found himself at the lobby again. Except there was one problem. He was still in the same condition as he was in the rounds. And that was... dead... sort of. His entire body was only functioning because his virus had taken over all bodily functions. His pale grey eyes darted around. His heart wasn't beating, his lungs were unmoving, and his brain was void of any rational thought. Outbreak frantically searched for a target. He was soaked in his own blood. His shirt stuck to his skin with how damp it was. His body was covered in gashed, stab wounds, and slash marks.

Suddenly, Outbreak set his sights on the nearest competitor (@anyone) and immediately charged that person. But just as he reached him/her, he collapsed. Outbreak fell to floor and turned limp and lifeless. Suddenly, his head began to twitch, and his entire body writhed wildly. His legs and arms were sprawled out, extending and contracting in odd ways. Then Outbreak arched his back, turning over so he was staring up and ceased his movements for a moment. Color returned to his eyes so that they were now a stark green like they once were. The brain had just been restarted.

As Outbreak laid there, suddenly taking in his surroundings, he began shivering. He shivered.. to the rhythm of a heartbeat. Outbreak's eyes widened in pain as he gripped his shirt tightly. Outbreak was shaking now, the blood flow in his body beginning to move again. Suddenly, there was blood everywhere. Outbreak had countless open wounds and a puddle of blood surrounded him almost immediately. He began coughing horridly, spilling more life fluid from his mouth. Then the virus moved to restart the lungs.

Outbreak began grabbing and clawing his throat, in a desperate attempt to find air. All that came out of his mouth was choking and yet even more blood. Outbreak suddenly sat up and he quickly inhaled one long raspy breath. His chest expanded and sank again as his lungs started bringing in oxygen.

Outbreak then sat there, looking around and realizing that this wasn't the battlefield anymore. Outbreak turned over, on his knees and hands for a moment. A lurch in his stomach forced him to lose his last meal. The intestinal system was now up and running. Outbreak felt horrible at the moment. He laid back down on the pool of blood surrounding him. He could barely move, his muscles were completely exhausted and unmoving. But as Outbreak simply stared up at the ceiling, he realized something. He was tired. That usually meant a period of time where he wasn't on a killing spree. In fact, Outbreak was never tired in public, always when he was back in his pathetic excuse of a home in the basement of an abandoned apartment building. His eyes didn't hold a spark of insanity. They were simply dull and emotionless. It was about as sane as Outbreak could ever get. But his virus wasn't at rest. It was rapidly trying to stitch together his wounds. This would take hours upon hours of work and it wouldn't even heal the wound, it was more like putting a bandage over the gash. His clothes was completely torn and tattered, it looked as if he had just been taking a swim in a pool of cranberry juice. Outbreak mentally cursed the gods. He absolutely despised them for forcing him into things. So now the last thing Outbreak wanted was for anyone else here to bother him. He didn't expect acts of kindness, considering he was responsible for more than 1000 deaths, but he wished his body was at least able to carry him to a more private corner. Instead he was lying down in the middle of the lobby. Outbreak couldn't help but feel humiliated by his show of weakness. Which was why he didn't want to have anyone bothering him, despite being in a state where the most he could do was stare at them if they came close. @anyone

With the blackness releasing him for the second time, once more Rudolph found himself in the confined of the lobby... he was still sitting down, cross legged... smoking the half of a cigarette in his mouth. He put up a hand to shield his eyes from the bright lights, needing to get readjusted from the dark temple. So what did this mean... did they say something funny to the monkey man? Hardly. The challenge was over... well hell... they hadn't gotten very far... heh... maybe the gods were tired of them. That was a funny thought.

With a groan, Rudy stood up and looked around and... yup... it was still the same lobby. A moment of his time wasted for checking it out again. Or maybe not... as he did notice a rather crazed guy running at him. For sure, the man looked quite rabid. He would even hazard a guess that it was some sort of zombie. Of course, these thought where neither here nor there as this man was charging at him. Well fuck this shit. His frown turned angry scowl, Rudolph pulled back his fist and was quite ready to fight back.

Then... the man seemed to have tripped and fell... face planting not but maybe a few feet away from him... and he just laid there bleeding... well that was easy. Rudy was still half tempted to boot stomp the guys head in just to be safe... or he would have if he didn't recognize this guy as one of the competitors. This was quite a feat as this man was high unrecognizable. Did worry cross Rudy's mind? Perhaps a little bit. Though points were taken away from the running to attack him and the guys behavior from earlier. Then again... that didn't really matter... people can't seem to die in this lobby. If he remembered correctly.

Taking a step forward, he squatted down in front of the bleeding man. Resting his elbows in his knees. "You look like shit..." Rudolph said to the man blankly. The motion of his lips causing some ash to fall from his cigarette and land in the puddling blood with a hiss. "Need a hand?" He asked. Of course... the asking was just courtesy. When he decided to help somebody, he normally helped them whether they liked it or not. Why would he help this guy? Well this guy hadn't wronged him yet.

@rapjack123

Outbreak looked to see a man standing over him (@KingHink ). He frowned. "Yeah and I feel like shit..." he said, looking away. "It isn't the first time I've laid on the floor bleeding," he told him, indigninantly. "So to answer your question, I'd like to refuse a hand," Outbreak said. He wasn't really in the mood and he couldn't quite understand the man's motives. Why would you help someone that had nothing to do with you and, if he remembered correctly, it was the same man he had charged after. If it was Outbreak in his position, he would have ended the person's misery.

One moment Erin was hugging Euli, the next minute she was shrouded in black and then back in the lobby. Her eyes blinked rapidly to try and get a hold of what just happened.

"Aw, I still have sand on my clothes." She whined quietly, shaking out her shirt and dusting off her pants in hopes of knocking the dirt that remained off. It was a rather futile effort, but at least she knew it was not a dream.

"Euli!" She said excitedly, running over to the kitty person. "Look! We're back!" (@Dawnsx) As if the werecat had no idea of the fact, considering that he had eyes and could see as well.

Erin scanned the room for Fredrick and Chastity, wanting to hear of their adventures, but spotted Li, Ambrogio, and Ace first. "Li! Li!" She shouted, hugging the doctor enthusiastically. "Look! We made it back! We're still alive!" Again, as if the doctor couldn't have figured that out for himself. (@lafeae)

She spotted Chastity after that, running over to her- finding a new supply of energy from having made it safely back to the lobby. "CHASTITY!" She squealed excitedly. "Euli and I had a great adventure! What about you?" She asked, grabbing the girl's hand. (@The One Called X )

"And Frederick!" She said, waving at him. "What did the Gods do to you? What kind of obstacles did you have to make it through?" (@The Wizard)

Ambrogio opened his eyes, which immediately got back to their usual icy blue colour, and looked around. "Wh-where am I...?" He wasn't sure what was going on and examined the area - it was the lobby, where he had to stay before the "talent show". The vampire was confused, of course, and couldn't even move. But Ambrogio could turn his head in the direction where a young girl's voice was coming from. She was shouting..."Li?" That's right, the last time he was arguing with the surgeon on the lift, yet he forgot what happened after the man's maniacal laugh. "Ah, that's right..." He gritted his teeth. "I showed weakness at the time..."

Trying to put on a friendly smile, which wasn't really working out as he was still shocked and that particular moment was still haunting his mind, he went over to a sofa in the lobby and sat - after all, he didn't want to ruin that goody-goody moment between Erin and Li, as he would refer to it. He didn't have anything to read, however, and thus kept staring at the floor. He noticed the torn part of his pants and sighed in an irritated way. "So that still remains, huh? Ah..." Searching inside his sleeves, he sighed yet again. "Even my silver darts are still gone"

He realised his gloves weren't on his hands and remember he put them inside the inner pocket of his jacket. After checking in there, he felt relieved that they were in fact still there and put them on. Thus he was left alone sitting on the sofa comfortably and observing his surroundings and all the confused, yet happy "fellow contestants".

Euli blinked, trying to get adjusted to the sudden change of scenery. He was still in a daze from the events at the temple, and it took him a bit longer than it should to notice that he was back in the lobby. Erin ran over to him and exclaimed the fact that they've returned before going to Li. Relief washed over him to know that they've all made it back in one piece, but something still nagged at him at the back of his head. This whole challenge thing probably wasn't over yet, and he just had to continue working his way through with his...

Comrades.

The word suddenly felt unnatural to him, but he shook the thought off for now.

His eyes darted around and spotted Chastity and Fredrick, as well as Ambrogio, who had settled on a sofa not too far away. For a second, he considered ignoring the vampire and joining Erin and the others, but... Euli sighed, vaguely remembering Ambrogio calling his name before he jumped off the platform. He trotted over to the sofa, crossing his arms when he was standing in front of Ambrogio.

"Still worried about your pants I see." He said rather jokingly. "I wouldn't stress too much about it. I'd think of it as a new opportunity to buy new ones."

Ambrogio rolled his left sleeve a bit to reveal his watch. Rather disappointed, he clicked his tongue. "Out of batteries already..." The vampire heard footsteps and looked upwards - it was Euli, who greeted him with another joke. Standing up to be polite, Ambrogio pulled off another smile, a seemingly fake one by that, and replied: "Oh, why, hello, dear Euli! I see You have noticed my messy trousers, but You are definitely right - I already needed new ones." He tried sounding cheerful, but his previous experience with Li had an affect on his voice, that surely made him sound quite fake. "Say, do You know how exactly we were transported here? I don't seem to remember anything after the Honesty-O-Lift, to be honest..." This time he didn't have any secondary thoughts - apparently that machine taught him a lesson: to believe in his "polite" lies at the very least.

Rudolph Wright

Rudolph tilted his head slightly,"Well we can't always get what we like..." he said and stood up. With his foot he rolled Outbreak over on his back and took hold of his arm. Pulling him up, Rudy hoisted up the bleeding man onto his back with the mans arms over his shoulders. Almost piggyback style. He was heavy... but Rudy has gotten pretty used to hauling people around lately. Luckily he had a strong pair of legs.

"I am sure you would just hate to be an inconvenience by bleeding all over the place and getting tripped over." He said, with no attempt to veil the sarcasm in his voice. "Besides, if it isn't me, you will probably have one of those super sweet idiots come by trying to hug you and kiss your boo-boo's in the name of a blind sense of love and justice and cliche heroism. I am sparing you the cavities." He said as he carried the man away.

(To the healing spring!)

It was a minor decision, upon reaching the springs, Rudy took the middle entrance into the communal springs. Simply because it was the biggest of the three options. He recalled seeing this place. It was supposed to be healing. But he wouldn't doubt it if it had broken down and replaced with a joke telling monkey man too.

Rudolph walked to the edge of the water and turned around so he could drop the man not so gently into the steaming waters. No. He wasn't about to undress the guy. Fuck that. He wasn't that nice. "There. I trust you can clean yourself up." He said.

Standing at the edge he took his now blood covered shirt off, preparing to get in himself. Getting undressed he took a towel and wrapped it around himself. No. He didn't give a fuck. For one, no one else was here. He still had sand in every crevice of his body and he would continue to not give a fuck until the sand was gone... he hated sand...

Gingerly he stepped into the warm waters... and sunk to his midriff, resting his elbows on the cooler sides of the spring.

(@rapjack123 now that you have been suitably hijacked, I suppose we move to the ~Happy Healing~ thread)
