Well the guard has already seen your knife as hinted by Ria and the fan by kursishi but isn't sure whether that counts as a weapon.

I've hinted that humans are going to be checked off by an NPC while another NPC heals Jatayu of at least his sickness if not his broken and possibly bruised ribs. Given he was poisoned though, I'm not sure how fast his sickness will heal, hell likely be very weak, plus confused about what's going on, after all he isn't supposed to be there unlike the others who were chosen.

So...I would say the guards will do a pat down of the humans and check for weapons that way before they are led to the alcove and if one dies, they will not hesitate to drain the human dry that killed the vampire. I can't say whether or not they will strip all humans of their clothing to ensure they have nothing hidden but they know what to look for at least with the knife and the fan. SirDerpingtonIV

It’s just-- Ayumu threw a traditional fan, so there is no metal. I mentioned shuriken to imply the style it was thrown, and not the actual object.

regarding vampires, what are their abilities?

Vampires have basic abilities. They can have heightened senses, faster, stronger and more durable than humans, have greater stamina/endurance and agile than vampires, their blood can heal. Vampires powers are super strength/speed/sight/smell/hearing.

Humans are weak and will always be weak compared to vampires.

There is special jewelry (think like the Ring of Amara in Buffy the Vampire Slayer for any of you born in the 90s) or the Daylight Amulets (for any of you whom have seen Vampire Diaries). Otherwise, vampires will burn in the sunlight without the ring. Not all vampires know of the Daylight Amulets (such as Haneul) due to inexperience.
