Alex laughed when he said she might be teasing him about potatoes "maybe I am, maybe I'm not" she teased. She listened to his answer and smirked "Your very modest" she joked "but I say the girls still love you now" she added with a smile. When he asked her the same question, Alex stuck out her lips before sucking them back in "eh I was about 15 Id say, it was only at that age that I started to sneak out and be aware from my fathers glare". Alex thought back to her first few ventures away from her family, before that she had been basically an angel in the eyes of her parents, she never gave them any hassle and always did exactly as she was told but that was until she got sick of playing the game. "Apart from drinking" she mused "I love walking around at night and going to new and interesting places, I have a habit of sneaking into places like abandoned sites and all" she shrugged "some day it'll get me killed but I just love the silence of night, the darkness and the lack of people walking around shopping and the likes". She took another drink before turning to face him "what about you, what does Conor Sullivan do when he's not drinking, running the bar or working out?"

Angel used the distraction of the play to study Sinead's resting face, uninterrupted. As stage lights rose and fell, the warm colors reflected off of Sinead's skin, highlighting certain features while masking others. Angel had spent more time looking at Sinead, than he did the actual play. By the time the curtains fell and the lights came on, he had memorized every line, curve, and cork. He clapped along with the crowd, equally grateful. For, he had the best seat in the house - not because their box seats were aligned perfectly above the stage, but because Sinead was right in front of him. He finished off his drink, before discarding it along with the plates. He then stood up, adjusting his coat to remove all the creases. As they made their way down the steps, he intertwined his arm with hers, while lifting the velvet curtains out of her way. As he walked back outside into the Chicago air, he examined his watch. "Hm, we ended ahead of schedule. The limo won't be here for awhile. Whatya' say I walk you home instead?" He asked, smiling down to her.

"I have to admit, I actually expected your first kiss would have had to be a sneaky one," Conor remarked. "I bet all of the boys fancied you," he added. Despite his better judgement, he was beginning to cheer up in Alex's presence. Regardless of what she had done and knowing he should be keeping away from her, he was starting to feel the best he had since last week.

"Perhaps when we've finished our drinks we can go for a walk? But I'm not going into any dodgy abandoned sites - that's just asking for trouble, like the horror stories I've read." When asked what else he liked to do, Conor shrugged. "I don't do anything else, I'm a simple man," he said. "No, I'm joking. Other than working a lot and get under your family's feet a lot... It doesn't happen so often these days, but sometimes I just like to play silly games with my sisters and Carrick. I think I also mentioned before that I like photography too - my mum has taught me a lot on that front. You and I still need to arrange to find somewhere nice to go and take photos. Perhaps when I'm feeling more up to it?"

Sinead Sullivan

Sinead found herself quite engrossed in the play, though at the same time she was conscious she was sat with Angel. Every so often, she would glance towards him just to see his face and sometimes she was sure she caught him gazing at her. The way he was looking at her didn't make her feel uncomfortable, but she was quite curious about what he was thinking when he looked at her face. When the play ended, Sinead enthusiastically clapped her hands, turning to Angel and smiling as she did. On his cue, she too finished what was left of her drink. As she got up from her seat, she made sure to smooth out her dress, which landed a few inches above her knees. She then hung her bag over her shoulder and linked her other arm with Angel's.

Once they were outside, Angel noted they were early and suggested walking her home. "Of course, the fresh air will be nice," she agreed. It was a little chilly but she knew she'd warm up once they'd walked a little. She was thankful she'd warn some heels she was used to so the walk would be a comfortable one. "I've had a wonderful evening, Giovanni," she sweetly told him. "You sure do know how to treat a lady."

When they'd first set off walking, Sinead had been quite cautious and concerned someone from her family might see them together. Once they'd walked for a bit, she forgot about her worries and was just focused on the walk and talking with the handsome gentleman.

Alex smiled "yeah no man will ever be good enough, unless dad picks him out" she laughed "and he has tried but he doesn't ever pick out my type" she said with a twinkle in her eye. "Ah I was an awkwardly shy child, I wasn't a great catch" she added "but I'm making up for it now" she joked.
"Yeah a walk sounds good, Im sure we both need the fresh air" she laughed when he mentioned horror stories "okay no abandoned sites this time" she smirked as he tried to say he was simple but listened to what he had to say as she took a drink. "What kind of games?" She asked curiously. "And yes when your feeling better we'll find a nice spot and see how badly I take pictures" she was only half joking as she said it, Alex did not have steady hands and so whenever she tried to take pictures they always came out blurry

img-thing.jpgWhile Angel was conscious of his surroundings, he wasn't as worried about running into the Sullivans as he were prior to picking her up. Seeing her laugh and smile eased his mind; he was finding her gleeful behavior contagious. He looked at the skyline, which had since fallen into a deep purple, before looking out to the near empty road ahead of them. "I'm glad you enjoyed the play. It's rare to find someone with a similar taste in entertainment. Anyone else I know would've fought me tooth and nail before agreeing to go." Looking down to her, he couldn't help but notice her shivering. Without hesitation, he removed his dress coat from his arms. He then stretched it out over her shoulders, the sleeves drooping past her hands. "Better?" He asked, raising an eyebrow with a smirk.

As they neared close, he thought'd it be best to leave her a block away from home. He stopped on the empty sidewalk, turning to her. He gripped both of her hands in his, looking down at them before looking back up at her. "I had an amazing time, Sinead. I am so glad you agreed to come out with me. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else, but here... With you." He looked into her eyes, allowing the silence to cement his words. Subconsciously, he found himself leaning in, almost as if he had fallen into a trans. Before he had a moment to think, he felt the softness of her lips pressed against his.

Lucy was 100% teasing him about taking off his clothes and he seemed a bit skeptical. "I'm joking with you, luv...we should save that for when we are in a bit of a warmer place hm? She smiled softly and she let out a laugh. "The peek was definitely enough for me at the moment, especially since it is a bit nippy out." She murmured and moved closer to him, keeping warm with his body heat. "My family is your family James, I think you have earned that respect and care and I will make sure that it happens. I know my father can be a bit of a grouch about things, but he really does care for you too."

"And my mother, is my mother, and although she is a bit high strong and in your face about things, it really is only out of love and care as well." She reassured him. "Don't ever think that you are completely alone, because you have all of us and we have your back." Her eyes moved to look out at the lake again, the moonlight reflection off the gently moving water. It was peaceful tonight, and she was so grateful that she had this time with James, because who know when they will have this time again. But she knew that it might be time to head back, Lady was probably getting anxious in a new place. "Should we head back?"

"Well, you can't blame a father for wanting the best for his daughters. I know mine would go mental if Lucy or Sinead ended up with the wrong guy. And, no offence, but he's not as crazy or strict as your old man," he noted. "Vinnie would certainly think he'd been right all along if he realised you were seeing me!" He laughed thinking about her being shy. "I fail to imagine you were ever shy. That's got to be a joke."

"Well, there's things like card games and Scrabble. Then just fun stuff, like hide and seek, tag... even play fighting. Sinead's got a mean punch on her when she needs it," he remarked. "It's like Tinkerbell, but painful," he fondly told her. He realised in that moment he'd been quite rude to his little sister recently whilst she'd tried to cheer him up and he'd have to make it up to her.

Conor finished his pint and suddenly stood up. "Come on. Drink up and let's go for a walk out in the fresh air," he told her. He would wait for Alex before walking out of the pub with his. As soon as they were outside the door, he suddenly stopped. "Ah, I need to use the men's room. Hold that thought!" he told her, before rushing back in to the pub to use the restroom.

Sinead smiled as Angel said he was glad she enjoyed the play. "I think we're alike, Gioavanni. We both love the arts. If you ever need someone to accompany you to another play or show, I would be more than willing," she told him. She observed him as he removed his coat and when he placed it over her shoulders she gratefully nodded. "That's much better," she told him. She'd been on dates before, but none had been as perfect as this one.

When they stopped a block away from her home, Sinead turned to Angel and began to feel a little nervous, her heart racing in her chest. She wasn't sure if she just didn't want the date to end or if it was something else. "I-I'm glad I agreed to come out with you too. I loved it. I hope we can-" Sinead stopped speaking as she realised Angel was leaning in towards her. She almost forgot to breathe for a moment, right before their lips met. She closed her eyes as they kissed, letting go of one of his hands so she could place hers on his shoulder to keep her balance. She was now certain about her feelings for him and she felt truly happy. She believed her family were wrong about him.

James Porter

James laughed when Lucy confirmed she was joking. "Damn, I thought I was about to score," he teased her. "It's definitely best saved for somewhere warm and... less public," he agreed. "Plus, you'd have to give me a peek of yourself and I don't want it to be dark when you do!" he flirted. He nodded when she spoke about her family and him. "I just hope your father will understand. I don't ever want to feel like I'm going behind his back, because I wouldn't be able to give you up if he didn't agree with us being together. As for your mother - I think I'm starting to understand her now. Still terrified, but I know she just wants the best for her family."

Reluctantly, James agreed that they should head back home. He got up to his feet and held his hands out to Lucy to help her up. Once back in the car, James set off driving back to his place. Instinctively, his eyes were scanning everything around them as they spoke. It wasn't necessarily out of caution, he just liked to take in his surroundings and people watch. One familiar person stood out to him as they drove back into the areas closer to home. He bit his lip as he glanced to Lucy, wondering if she'd seen the familiar young woman too. "Surprised to see her out on her own," he remarked, pointing towards Alex in the distance, who was currently stood outside the pub.

Lucy was helped to her feet by James and their alone time at the lake came to a close. The drive back into the city was just as beautiful as it had been leaving it and Lucy, despite it being dark, enjoyed looking out the window of the car. James and her casually conversing most of the way.

But when back in the city they were passing one of the pubs when James pointed out Alex. Lucy had saw her before he said anything and the distaste was clear as day on her face. Lucy was overall a generally sweet person and like almost anyone but when someone gave her a reason to hate them, she hated them with everything she had. "Not a wise decision." She grumbled. "Someone might come along and give her something that's well deserved." Her voice had taken on a tone much like her mothers one that she didn't use often.

Isaac
Isaac smiled when Leo put in for a beer for him. Very friendly for a guy he literally just met. "Thanks Leo." Isaac said simply as he took the pint from Leo and took a few drinks of it. Isaac tilted his head at Athena, curious as to what book they were talking about. Isaac was not big into reading, but he was enjoying spending time with others. Isaac still really wanted to slip away and find somewhere to play a hand of poker, but was feeling the urge a little less.

Alex smirked "if my father found out about us, he'd believe that he should have locked me in a tower instead of turning the odd blind eye" she laughed. "And yeah I used to be quiet and do as I was told, I wasn't exactly shy but I came across as it" she said "and then I got to 15 and thought fuck it, this is no fun". She smiled when he described what him and his siblings played "you still play hide and seek?" She asked, there was no mocking tone present rather she sounded more envious "I found it hard enough to get Monte to play when we were children, theres no chance off any of them playing that now unless you blackmailed them" as Alex mentioned black mailing them a dangerous glint appeared in her eye for a second before she passed the thought to the back of her mind. When Conor spoke again, Alex smirked and did a joke salute before knocking back her glass and standing up.
Alex laughed when he said he needed to go toilet "go on old man and be quick" she teased as he went back inside. Alex leaned against the exterior of the pub and pulled out a cigarette placing it to her lips as she lit it. She looked around her as she tried to see if there was anyone lurking around but thankfully she didn't see anyone to worry her

As he had returned back into the pub alone, Conor's mind played back to his comment about playing hide and seek with his siblings. He realised it had been some time since they'd had silly fun in that way and it saddened him to think it was unlikely they would again. Everything was so serious and dangerous now.

Meanwhile, James smirked as Lucy made her comment about someone coming along and giving Alex something she deserved. In all honesty, right now he would neither encourage or discourage it. Lucy owed Alex for what she did to her, but James wasn't about to suggest now was the time for it. However, just as he was passing Alex, he noticed the the tall, muscular man step out of the pub and join Alex. James looked into his rear-view mirror just to prove to himself he was imagining things. His suspicions were merely confirmed when he saw Conor's face. "You are fucking kidding me," James grumbled as he brought the car to a stop by the sidewalk and pulled the handbrake up. "What is your brother doing?!" he asked Lucy. It might not be a surprise to them, but actually seeing Conor and Alex together was beyond shocking for James.

Conor stepped out of the pub and tapped Alex on the shoulder. "Let's go. I got us snacks for the walk!" he told her, looking to pack packet of peanuts rather than the nearby car that had suddenly stopped.

Lucy was about to move on from the subject of Alex when James cursed, she was about to ask what was wrong when he mentioned her brother. Turning around she caught her brother standing next to Alex and the look on her face was one of betrayal and hurt. She loved her brother with everything she had, she was always there when he needed her and supported him in everything he did. And this was how he would repay her? The shock wore off rather quickly as she unbuckled her seatbelt and quickly got out of the car before storming over towards them. She had no doubt James would be able to catch up and she would have waited if she hadn't been so pissed off.

Her walk was tense and her fists were clenched as much as they could be with the few bandages wrapped around her wrists. Walking up to him, she ignored Alex (though she would have her turn) and grabbed Conor by the shoulder before whirling him around. "Are you fucking serious right now?!" She shouted at him, but was still aware that there was other people around. "I let you go an have your time to be alone and this is how you spend it, with this bitch!" She ground out. "After all she and her family have put us through, I thought you were as good as dead!" She cried out unable to control her words from spilling out.

Her eyes glared at Alex. "You keep your greedy paws off of him or so help me I will make you!" She growled out, her words venomous and full of hate.

Alex turned when she felt a tap on her shoulder and smiled up at Conor. "Very thoughtful" she commented as she looked down at the peanuts in his hand. Alex linked her arm with his, to be close to him and also to give him a little support if he needed it. "So where do you wa....." Alex was cut off as Conor was turned around, her arm ripping away from his in the process. Alex turned a confused expression on her face as she came face to face will Lucy. Her eyes were wide as she listened to her scream at Conor, a smirk coming over her expression when Lucy called her a bitch. When Lucy turned her attention to Alex, she tilted her head slightly to the side and looked at her with a slight smirk playing on her lips. It took every bit of strenght for Alex not to put her arm on Conors or to say a bitchy remark back to Lucy, she was biting her tounge so hard that she was sure there would be blood. If Conor hadnt been there, Alex would have snapped and said something, but this was Conor's sister and so this time she decided to keep her mouth shut so to not upset him

James watched as Lucy unfastened her seatbelt and got out of the car. He didn't try to stop her, deciding it was better she got to them before he did. James figured it was more Lucy's place than his own to get angry with Conor. Regardless, James got out of the car and slammed the door shut before calmly walking over to the others, listening as Lucy gave Conor and Alex a piece of her mind.

Hearing the footsteps approaching, Conor turned his head just in time to see Lucy approaching him and what was happening soon began to sink in. Lucy and James were here... they were seeing him right now, with Alex. He felt his heart sink at the realisation. When Lucy grabbed his shoulder to turn him around, his existing injuries meant it hurt far more than it should have and he let out a manly yelp. The action also caused him to drop the pack of nuts he'd just purchased. He listened as Lucy began shouting at him and expressing her angry disapproval at what he was doing with Alex. "Lucy, please," Conor began, his eyes already filling with tears at seeing how upset his sister was. "I'm sorry. I went out for a drink alone. I didn't plan to see Alex, we just bumped into each other. We talked about things and I just needed to with her," he tried to explain, trying to explain in a way his sister could even begin to understand. "After what happened to us three," he said, referring to him, Lucy and James, "I know it's impossible to explain. But I love her and you can't blame her for this, I made this choice." He quickly shook his head. "I needed to talk to someone who wasn't already suffering."

James rolled his eyes as he listened to Conor. Like Alex, James also found himself having to bite his tongue, to stop him from telling Conor how stupid he sounded.

Lucy listened to her brothers words but the smirk on Alex's face was proving to her that this girl was not going to give Conor up. "Cut the shit Conor!" She growled out, looking back at James for a moment before turning back to Conor. "You have us to talk to Conor! ME! I've tried talking to you all this week and all you did was shut me out! And you think this skank is completely innocent? Why don't you ask her about the nice black eye she gave me while I was tied to a chair!"

Looking at Alex, "I swear to god I will wipe that smirk off your face so quick you won't see it coming doll." She hissed out and turned to her brother again, trying to ignore the bitch beside him. "When were you planning on telling us Conor! You have everyone here thinking you are loyal to the family when you are dating the devils daughter. That man tortured you! Tortured James! Tortured Me! And you are going to stand here and try to explain that you love her!" She got up into her brothers face.

"I expected so much more from you, I sat back and let dad claim you as the heir because I thought that you would be just as good as dad, just as loyal to the family. Guess I was fucking wrong. You're nothing but a filthy traitor." Lucy was beyond angry at this point and at the moment every word she said was true to her. "How could you do this to us? I thought you were my brother...."

selena-gomez-gif-15.gif

Alex listened to Conor speak and her heart melted when he told his sister that he loved Alex, he hadnt used that actual word with her and the fact that he said it to his very angry, and a little scary sister meant a lot to Alex. She snapped from her thoughts when Lucy once again confronted her but then turned very quickly back at Conor.
At this stage Alex had enough of Lucy and she couldnt hold it back any longer "Now listen here Miss. High and mighty, you are not so innocent yourself if you dont remember you murdered my mother in cold blood!" Alex snapped, a cold smirk still present on her lips "so why on earth do you think you have any right to Judge me or Conor" she exclaimed her anger coming across in her tone. "Yeah my father hurt you, but you, you ripped my family apart" she was furious at this stage and couldnt stop the words from falling out of her mouth "so how dare you think you can accuse Conor of being a traitor or a disappointment for going out with me. You know nothing about me, You can't judge a child based on the actions of their parents". Alex clenched her fists at her side, doing her best to not keep ranting at Lucy or to hit her. "Unless your reason is because I hit you and if thats the case you fucking deserved it"

Conor bit his lip and quickly shook his head as Lucy continued to lay into him. "I couldn't talk you, Lucy. It was my fault Vinnie got me and my fault he tortured me. It was my fault you were fucking terrified watching them torture me. I couldn't place any more of my burdens and embarrassment on your shoulders. Oh, I know Alex is far from innocent, but as far as me and her go - that's equally my responsibility," he explained. "Why did she give you a black eye? When?" he asked, trying to catch his breath.

"Honestly, I don't know if there'd ever have been a time to tell you," he said, missing the smirk Alex gave Lucy and too heated to question it. Then Lucy got into his face and started mentioning how they'd been tortured. Persisting they'd been tortured. It only brought the memories flooding back, along with the pain and the confusion. If he were more himself, he wouldn't even be arguing, he'd probably be trying to speak calmly and be more agreeable with his sister. But he still hadn't recovered and his mood was still all over the place. "Back off, Lucy," he said, taking a few steps back from her as he tightened his jaw. "Vinnie was the one who had me tortured, not Alex. I've given my all for our family. Doing shit that was bloody hard and dodging bullets just to help us stay in the game. But no, you fucking do it, Lucy. You be the heir. But don't you dare call me a traitor. Me being with Alex was nothing to do with our family business and I never told her a thing about business." He shook his head. "I thought I was your brother too, but it seems one mistake and your ready to hang me out to dry."

Lucy couldn't believe that her brother was sticking by this girl. After everything they had put them through and this is what happens? Her heart raced and her stomach dropped as he spoke to her in such a way. She couldn't stop her hand as it slapped him right in the cheek. "That's right, we were. This is one mistake that can't be taken back! You are a traitor! What would our father say Conor! That everything is fine!" She poked his chest as she continued to yell at him. "YOU ARE FUCKING THE ENEMY CONOR! You are a traitor! You threw everything away when you decided to sneak around and date this skank." Her eyes turned to Alex and she became dead silent as she walked up to the girl, their noses almost touching.

"I'm sorry, would you like to repeat yourself hun, I don't speak slut." She growled out. "You got something to say come up and say it to my face." Then she took a swing and punched the girl so hard that she spiraled to the floor. "STAY DOWN." Lucy screamed at her, backing away she grabbed James' wrist before speaking to Conor. "Family doesn't do this, stay the fuck away from our siblings and the house. If you love her so much the don't come around the house and stay out of our lives. We don't want you around." She was extremely pissed as she stormed off, letting go of James as she walked down the dark street.

Alex listened as Conor spoke. She was shocked that he had taken her side and argued with his sister and felt terrible that he was in this position in the first place. He looked in pain, Alex snapped from her thoughts when Lucy stood infront of her, she was so close Alex could feel her breath on her skin. Before she had time to reply, Lucy hit Alex so fast and hard that Alex didnt understand what had happened until she hit the floor. Her head ached and she could smell blood but she wasnt sure if it was from her mouth or nose, her whole face hurt. She stared up at Lucy and James, blinking until the black dots cleared from her vision. When Alex found herself able to stand again, Lucy was already half way down the street. The force of the hit had made Alex feel dizzy and she swayed slightly where she was standing. She wanted to see if Conor was alright and she wanted to lie down but the rage was bubbling inside her and the words came out of her mouth before she could stop them "yeah run away, you fucking bitch" she screamed after her. If she hadnt been dizzy, Alex would have chased after her and pulled the bitch down.

When Lucy slapped him across the fact, Conor's head jolted to the side. The blurred vision he had already put down to his tears, but the dizziness and ringing in his ears had returned. It still wasn't enough to stop himself from hearing the rest of his sister's tirade and her words broke his heart. He was too numb to even react when Lucy punched Alex. When Lucy then told him to stay away from their family and their home, Conor felt sick and empty. He stumbled back a little, the building wall managing to support him in time.

James watched on as Lucy attacked Conor. He too was furious with the lad for seeing Alex behind the family's back, especially considering he'd continued to do so after they were all tortured by Alex's family. He wasn't sure if telling him he wasn't welcome at the family home was a step too far, but he hoped it was just Lucy's justified anger talking. When Lucy walked off, James hesitated. "Lucy!" he called back to her, but figured he could catch up. He then turned to Alex as the girl persisted to try winding Lucy up. "That's enough!" he snapped. "Get the Hell out of here. Walk, get a taxi, I don't care. You've done enough damage for tonight, now go!" he ordered Alex. He wasn't prepared to let her go near Conor or bait Lucy any further.

"Conor, wait in the back of my car. We're not done yet," he ordered, leading the Sullivan lad towards his vehicle. Conor shook his head, but reluctantly stumbled into the back of James' car, barely able to focus on anything around him. James then rushed after Lucy and when he caught up to her he held his arm out to stop her from walking any further."Lucy..." he calmly said, wrapping his arms around her for a hug. "It's going to be okay," he told her, gently rubbing her back to try calm her.

The tears had already started to fall when she turned away from everyone, she had to get as far away as she could, feeling as though she could kill that girl. Her body shook from the adrenaline and her breathing was quickly and shallow. She heard footsteps coming from behind her and when a arm stopped her from walking further, she turned slowly and allowed James to pull her in for a hug. The sobs were uncontrollable, crying into his shirt, she let the grief of what just happen take over her. The anger was fading quickly as the sadness set in. This time it seemed like it would be permanent. Conor was her best friend, her brother...and he betrayed her and the family name.

"I-I'm so sorry." She mumbled into his chest and tried to control her crying. Once she stopped the sobs, she looked up at James' face. "I can't believe him...she has him in her little trampy claws! Can't he see that I am just trying to protect him." She voiced her frustration but kept her voice down, not wanting to draw anymore attention to herself. The punch had broken the skin on her knuckles and they were bleeding, her wrist hurt as well from the force, but she didn't care at the moment.

Alex listened to James speak to her and watched him put Conor in the back of the car, she sighed "Ive done the damage?" She questioned "Fuck off" she said anger in her tone as she turned away and took a few shaky steps away from them. Her head hurt from hitting the ground and her face hurt from Lucys fist. Alex stopped and leaned against the wall sinking down to sit with her back against it. She wiped her face and looked at the blood on her hand. From the sensitivity of her nose, she guessed thats where it came from. Alex was still in distance that she could hear James and Lucy speaking, however she couldnt be seen or at least she didnt think she could. Alex's head felt heavy with the thoughts racing through her head, she was hurt that Conor had got into the car and left her, she was upset that this whole thing had happened and if Conor didnt make it up with his sister, no matter how much Alex hated her, she knew that it was her fault. Alex sighed in frustration as she put her head back looking up at the night sky. Why can't things go her way for once

Luca had finished cooking before placing the food in front of Kate and him. He had decided to cook Irish beef stew, mostly because it was amongst the only food he could cook, well, mostly because he knew how to only cook Italian dishes not anything Irish. He started to eat the food before stopping once Kate started speaking before putting the utensil down and looking at her with a raised eyebrow. So there was a shipment coming, bringing in something that they, the Sullivan's, needed more than anything. Plus they would sell well. "Kate, this is between you and me but...." He stopped before continuing. "I'm not doing this with orders of the Sullivan, I'm doing this by myself." He knew that even if he got caught and tortured, that it was completely his fault. Sure the Sullivan's would back home up, but what he was doing, it wasn't on their hands, it was he who started to do everything. Heck there were more people from other gangs working for and helping him. "Too much drama has been going on for them, that I feel that they shouldn't know what I'm doing."

James kissed the top of Lucy's head as he held her tightly. "You don't need to apologise, Lucy," he gently reassured her. "This is Conor we're talking about. He's hot-headed and doesn't think things through, not when his emotions are involved. I don't even know how he got this this point, but I think he believes she cares about him and being the way he is he's fallen in love with the witch," he told Lucy. "Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm so pissed off with him for this and if I'd been on my own when I'd seen them I would have punched Conor myself."

James thought for a moment about why he hadn't told Conor to fuck off, to keep away from the family, and been just as angry with him as Lucy was. Perhaps it was because he didn't have a family for him to put himself in Lucy's shoes and truly feel the way she was feeling. Or perhaps it was precisely because he didn't have a family that he valued Lucy's so much. "You're going to hate me, Lucy, but hear me out," he said, taking a step back so he could look her in the eyes. "Your dumbass brother is going home. Your family is supposed to be close and you're supposed to talk about things. We can't just let Conor sulk off, get drunk and end up walking back into Alex's arms. If Vinnie gets wind of any of this, your brother is as good as dead. We take him home where we can keep a safe eye on him and persistently remind him who his family is. Knock some sense into that thick skull of his. No matter what he's done and how much he's fucked up his position in the business, you can't turn him away, Lucy."

Lucy listened to James speak, he was the only rational one in the situation at the moment, for Lucy's calm and controlled exterior had broken. Something inside of her had snapped when she saw her brother with that witch. Her brother was far more sensitive and emotional than he would let on but he had a hard time making the proper decisions. Lucy sighed and nodded her head slightly. "You're right, I'm not being a very good sister...." She murmured softly and shook her hand a little as it stung.

"He needs me now more than ever....and I slapped him." She couldn't understand then emotions that were going through her own head. She wanted to be angry with Conor, she never wanted to see him again. The Romano's had put him through so much, put her through so much...that she just couldn't believe that he would be dating one, after everything. She drew in a deep shaky breath before releasing it slowly, the shaking in her hands had finally stopped and she felt like she could properly think again. "Lets get him home." She whispered softly to James before kissing his lips softly. "Thank you."
