Yu held a hand over her mouth to stop herself from making a sound.


That was so close...stupid stupid stupid! I can't keep being a creep like this...I have to confront them...But that other presence nearby makes me nervous.





Yu looked around her, trying to see who else was there. Cautiously, she stood up.

 

[Aero]

Anna looked back to where she heard the snort and blinked at a figure standing up. "Um guys, does anyone else see the figure over there?" She said pointing over at the black haired figure. @Neon Stack @Dxni

 

[Neon Stack]

Yu sheepishly walked forward with her hands up.


I'm not going to hurt any of you...I just wanted to ask you a few questions. Oh, and sorry for creeping up on you like that, you can never be to careful nowadays...

[The Jackal]

A shadowy figure stood atop one of the many trees in the forest, watching over the landscape with glassy yellow eyes that flickered or blinked or flickered once in a while. Nicko stood quietly and stared longingly at the expanse of overgrown roots, hanging vines and sickly green moss underneath all this was Nicko's home... Well his old home his new home was a cut out in the canopy of the trees but he still hadn't settled into the large wooden space yet. A few stray flickers of light shone through the leaves causing Nicko to retract and let out a low raspy gasp as part of him was burnt away before reforming. Shaking his head Nicko dropped to the ground and changed back, looking around as he walked quietly towards the large brick and wood hut that stood ruined and desolate in the middle of the forest, pausing as his hand wavered over the door nob Nicko finally mustered the courage to place his hand on the door. After a few rather aggressive pushes and shoves the door burst open to allow Nicko access to the abandoned recesses of the small hut. Nicko entered and began exploring the house finding nothing of interest Nicko slowly turned to a small barstool that sat in the middle of the room. Sitting on it as he closed his eyes and began whistling a small tune to himself.

 

[Spotine]

Madi heard someone stand up and go forward to the group. She wished she could reveal herself, but it was obvious she was from space. She had to protect April without her know Madi was there. Madi crept along silently, wanting to get slightly ahead of the group in where they were going so that she could look for territories that may belong to someone threatening. @Aero @Neon Stack @Dxni

 

[Aero]

April looked over where Anna was pointing to see a woman with black hair and goggles come out to greet them. She stood on guard even though she was a settler and knew she wouldn't do much to help if this woman had problems. Anna stared at the woman her eyes narrowed. "What's your name?" She asked. @Neon Stack @Dxni

 

[Maki]

When Alex took his first steps onto Earth, he was blown away. The planet was beautiful. Much more appealing than anything up at the station. He could look around and see no end, and there was no roof above him. He had touched down in a field, and hadn't even seen the good parts yet. After a few minutes of staring and admiring, he began walking towards the mountains.


Max was sitting up in a tree in the forest. She was alone as usual, but she didn't mind. She sat up there, dozing off.

Just like Anna Violet's eyes narrowed, "Who are you?" She questioned, "Was it really necessary to follow us?" Violet asked trying to figure out this girl.


Ocean but her lip in anticipation as the person moved into the light, 'She doesn't seem to be harmful, plus she said she just wanted to ask questions.' Knowing it was still odd she was following us to ask she flashed the girl a small, "Hi, I'm Ocean." She said trying to be friendlier than the others

 

[Aero]

Anna looked over at Ocean who seemed to trust the girl a bit more than the others. Anna glanced back at the woman her eyes not as narrowed as the were and looked at the woman up and down. "Why were you following us?" She asked to follow up Violet's questions. @Neon Stack @Dxni

 

[Maki]

Alex continued his trek into the mountains. He was taking his time, taking in everything around him. "It's just like I imagined it." He said to himself.


Max sighed, and got down from the tree. She was getting tired of sitting in the tree, so she started to walk through the woods

 

[The Jackal]

(Sorry for the use of IC tab for this but is anyone in earshot of Nicko to hear him whistling ?)

 

[Maki]

(If he's in a forest then one of my characters can hear him.)

 

[The Jackal]

(First off Yes is in the forest more specifically a small hut 2nd of all Then*)

 

[Maki]

(My bad. Didn't notice that.) As Max was walking through forest, she picked up someone whistling. "That's strange." She thought, and went towards the noise.

 

[The Jackal]

Nicko continued to whistle for a few minutes until he was interrupted by a small blue and black cat that sauntered into the small hut and jumped onto his lap "Hello, Grimm" He whispered to the cat that began purring softly at being in contact with a living being that he wouldn't pass through. Nicko stood up with Grimm in his arms and regretfully left the hut, looking around at the still overgrown forest, strange... The forest seemed to have grown of shifted since he was last outside which wasn't normal forest behaviour... Well normal forest behaviour when magic wasn't around.

[Maki]

When Max got close to the whistling, she used her cloaking power to continue stealthily. She was alarmed when it stopped. "Did the person notice me?" She thought, and continued on.

 

[The Jackal]

Nicko closed his eyes and let go of Grimm who landed quietly on all fours, Nicko entered his shadow form and floated onto the roof before returning to his regular form and looking around. He was quickly joined by Grimm who sat on the roof, sunning himself in the warm summer air, Nicko stood and looked around while Grimm continued to sun himself on the thatch roof. A few seconds and Grimm stood on his legs again and looked around, he could sense someone else.... Someone magical "What do you see, Grimm ?" Nicko asked after realizing his cat's almost transparent fur was on end.

 

[Maki]

Max could have sworn she had seen something like a hut ahead of her. "Interesting." She said, and crept towards it.

 

[The Jackal]

Grimm continued to scan the area with an eyeless stare, his eyes resting on a few forest creatures that ran off at the realization that they were being watched by something. Nicko stepped back into a shadowy part of the forest and soon a shadowy outline of a bow and quiver appeared in his hand and on his waist, the bow was quickly filled with other shadows as was the quiver filled with a large load of arrows. Slowly lifting the bow up and loading an arrow into the string Nicko waited for the tell tale screech as Grimm realized there was someone here with them.

 

[Maki]

Max was about 15 feet away from the hut. "It doesn't seem like any one is here." She said, and approached it quicker.

 

[The Jackal]

Nicko paused and quickly drifted into the canopy of the trees, setting down in his shadow form before raising the bow again if anyone was here Grimm would screech, Nicko would aim and the arrow would be let loose. Grimm let out a low disapproving 'yowl' as his master left him to scan for the magical being himself, his master meant well but he could at least consider his cat.

 

[Maki]

Max has heightened sense and heard the cats screech. She jumped in surprise, and thought nothing of it. She reached the hut, and saw no one was inside, so she took her cloaking off.

 

[Aero]

Anna looked over at Ocean who seemed to trust the girl a bit more than the others. Anna glanced back at the woman her eyes not as narrowed as the were and looked at the woman up and down. "Why were you following us?" She asked to follow up Violet's questions.

Grimm finally noticed the other presence and dropped down onto the floor behind the girl, letting out a low meow of anger before a low menacing growl rumbled in the back of his neck. Nicko lowered his weapon seeing that it was a person and not some mindless beast "Hello there" He yelled from the canopy, still cloaked in shadows as he exitted his shadow form. Grimm was now crouching down to pounce as the growl changed to a screech of annoyance.

 

[Maki]

Max froze up, and turned around slowly. "Hello." She said.
