screaming will make Peyre freeze in fear and guilt because he's watched people die painfully and slowly during the war with Russia. So, that's why the baby crying also makes him overprotective of the baby and why he hates the war with Russia. It's also why he hates people who glorify war. He'll either run to the source of the scream, or he'll freeze.

two things for irina,

1. her father is a touchy subject. that's mostly beause she spent like all her time with him on the battlefield and is heavily influenced by him but she disagrees with his decision to want to continue the war.

2. the scar on her stomach which she got when she first was in battle. it reminds her of when she was weak and almost died

although even if it isn't Peyre, i might toy with the idea of Irina coming face to face with that knight again even if it's just an NPC. it would prob have to make her confront her war trauma from like 4 years ago-

I'm on the fence rn, but I do have a what-if. What if they became friends slowly and became each others therapists? Like, they don't acknowledge it, and it seems professional, but they support each other(we're talking a few years after Irina came to France).
