I came back into the living room and I go online to the pizza website to order the pizza for delivery. I ordered some garlic bread too because it sounded delicious. I said I’d pay in cash and I got the address from you. “It should be here in 30 to 40 minutes.” I tell you and I looked outside noticing it was getting a little gloomy outside. “Is it going to storm?”

Snow was looking out of the kitchen window still holding his phone and said “Yeah..and the storms out here can get pretty bad. Newberry got hit by a hurricane a few years back and it caused a lot of damage.

I walked over to the kitchen window beside you and our bodies were pressed together hip to hip. I didn’t want to admit it because you’d probably think I was a baby but I was terrified of thunderstorms. I hated storms and now I was a new house so it’d be even scarier. I’d have to suck it up because you didn’t need to know how much of a baby I could be. “Hopefully it doesn’t get that bad tonight.”

Snow looked at her and said cheerfully “I’ve weathered many storms in this cabin. We’ll make it through. We’ve got eachother and pizza on the way.”

“Pizza and company is all we need.” I say forcing a smile being very frightened inside about what was going to happen. I pull away from the window and I walk towards my bedroom to begin unpacking the clothes we got from the store. I fold it and I begin putting it in the dresser that’s in the room.

Snow headed to his office to switch on his computer and then headed upstairs to keep Harlow company. He helped her put some stuff away and then followed her back downstairs to the living room and sat back down on the couch beside her

Once I was done putting things away I went downstairs with you and when you join me on the couch I scoot closer to you. I lay my head on your shoulder and I let out a small yawn. “You’re really comfortable.” I whisper softly to you.

Snow had his arm wrapped around her and said “I’m glad you think so. I love sitting here like this beside you. It’s going to kill me if you decide to leave. I know it’s strange that I’m saying that after only one day but it’s true. I’ve already grown incredibly fond of you.”

I was a little taken off guard when you told me it’d kill you if I left at the end of the month and I was still debating on whether I wanted to leave or not. Of course I was leaning more towards staying with you because you were comfortable to me and it felt natural being around you. It made me smile hearing you say you were fond of me. “I’m fond of you too snow.” I admit honestly and I just stare at the wall listening to your heartbeat and relaxing into the comfort of your chest.

Snow smiled and said “I’m glad to hear it.” They sat there like that for a while before there was a knock on the door. Snow got up with a groan and went and paid the delivery guy and gave him a tip. They talked for a few minutes and then he left. Snow walked over to the couch and set the food on the coffee table before explaining to a quizzical looking Harlow that the guy who delivered the pizza had been a long time friend of his in Newberry.

It was nice being in a comfortable silence with you and it was like we didn’t need to talk. When there’s a knock on the door I knew it was the pizza and I gave you the money to pay for it. I stood up when you opened the door and I moved to sit at the table. When you talked with the pizza guy I was a little confused but I just assumed you knew him. When you come back I smile at you and nod when you explain to me.

Snow got up to go get some plates and then opened the boxes for them. Their first dinner together and they were having pizza. He looked at her and said “We’ll have to go grocery shopping tomorrow so I can cook for you and show you how to cook some things.”

I grab a slice of pizza and a piece of garlic bread. It wasn’t the best first dinner together but it was what we had for now. “What is the best thing you can cook?” I asked before taking a bite of my pizza and I let out a little hum in delight because the pizza was delicious.

Snow thought about for a minute and said “I can fry some great fried fish. Everyone I know loves it when I do fish fries.” He wasn’t lying. His fish fries were often the reason that he and his friends had gathered here.

I swallow my bite of pizza and I smile at you. “That sounds delicious and I loved to try it. I don’t think I’ve ever had anything like that before.” I take a bite of my garlic bread and some oil drips down my chin.

Snow saw the oil drip and without thinking, he reached over and wiped it off with a napkin. When it occurred to him what he had just did, he looked away slightly worried about what she might think.

When you wiped away the oil it made me blush and I didn’t expect you to do that. “Thank you.” I say smiling and I continue eating my food being pretty hungry. “Do we have anything to drink?”

Snow got up and went to dig in the fridge and dug around for a moment before he looked over at her and said “Alright we have root beer, water, grape juice, apple juice, and Dr Pepper.”

“I’ll take some water please.” I tell you as I continue eating food and I finished my first slice of pizza wiping my own mouth off. “We should unpack and watch a movie together.”

 

[SnowAshe]

Snow grabbed two bottles of water and then asked, as he handed her a bottle, would you like to go change into some pajamas?”

“Yeah I’ll go change.” I finished my piece of garlic bread and I took a sip of my water bottle. I walk to the sink washing my hands off because they were greasy. “I’ll be back.”

 

[SnowAshe]

Snow nodded and said “I’ll take everything to the living room and find something for us to watch.” While she was gone he moved everything and found one of his favorite movies on Disney+

I went upstairs to the bedroom and I grab my bed clothes from my dresser. I pull on some bed shorts along with a baggy shirt along with a sports bra underneath it. I come back downstairs and I see you sitting on the couch. I sit back down with you on the couch and I instantly cuddle into your chest. I yawn softly and I glance at the screen. “What are we watching?”

 

[SnowAshe]

Snow smiled and said “How many times have you seen Lilo & Stitch?” Lilo & Stitch was his favorite Disney movie and had been since he was a child. He’d seen all four movies and the tv series several times.

(Snow is me to a certain extent. )
