Realistic or Modern The Marriage. Private with Kingsley

I was relieved when food was brought to us and I smile when I see Alexis’ Jessie daughter join us at the hospital. Alexis was 4 years old and she was such a sweet little girl. She loved Theo and it was almost like that was father now. I’m pretty sure Theo loved her just the same. When I see David come out I look at him and I smile. He tells us Julie got the epidural because her contraction are really strong and she couldn’t handle the pain anymore. He also tells us that she’s still at a 3 and that it could take a couple more hours before she moved up even one number. He tells us we can go home if we want and he’d call us when she was closer.

Snow looked at David and said “We’re not going anywhere brother. We’ve been there for all of the big moments the three of us have had.” Theo agreed and said “Yeah you’re stuck with us. We’re not going anywhere.”

I nod agreeing with you guys and I smile. “We’re ready to stay and meet the little man. No matter how long it takes.” I say and Jessie nods. “Even if it does take 20 hours.” Jessie jokes because that’s how long she was in labor with Alexis.

David smiled and said “I’m glad y’all are staying. I don’t know how we’d do this without y’all.”

Snow looked at his best friend and said “You’ll never have to worry about being alone. This group will always be together.”

We’ve been sitting in the hospital for 8 hours now and so it’s almost midnight since we left the photo shoot at 3pm. David would come out to get us updates occasionally but eventually him and Julie got some rest so she could be ready to push out that baby.

I fell asleep for a few minutes but then I’d wake up because sleeping in the chairs was quite uncomfortable. Right now Julie is only 5 centimeters dilated and we were waiting for another update from David.

Theo had eventually taken Jessie and Alexis home around 9 but he had come back a little while later with more food for Snow, Harlow, David, and himself. Around 3 am that night, Julie finally gave birth to a healthy baby boy. David let the others come in to meet his son a few minutes after he’d been cleaned up and Julie had rested for a few minutes.

When I hear his cry come from the room I was so relieved and it made everything with our baby seem so real. In a few weeks we’d have a little baby to home and hear their cries. We were let in the room and I was so excited to meet him. We each got a turn to hold him and when it was my turn I couldn’t help but get emotional. “What’s his name?” I asked Julie as I hold the sweetest baby boy and she smiles a little sleepily. “James Leon.” She whispers and I smile down at his sweet face. “Nice to meet you little James.”

Snow looked at David and said “He looks just like you.” David laughed and said “Just a little bit. He has some of mother’s features too.” James’s hair was a light blonde just like his mother’s. He hadn’t opened his eyes yet but both of his parents had blue eyes so it wouldn’t be surprising if he had blue eyes as well.

I feel our baby kick as I’m holding James and I giggle. “His best friend is saying hi already. They’re going to love each other.” I giggle and I let out a little yawn handing the baby off to you. It was so cute seeing you hold him and I couldn’t wait for our baby to arrive.

Snow smiled as he looked down at his best friend’s child. They’d been best friends forever and to be holding the beginning of the next generation of friends in his arms was unbelievable. He couldn’t wait to see what they’d grow up to be like

Eventually the baby gets back to his parents and I let out another yawn. “Congratulations you guys. He’s adorable.” I hug Julie and David. “Now I think it’s time for us to get going. I’m exhausted and those hospital chairs aren’t the most comfortable.”

David smiled and thanked them for being there. Snow smiled back and said “Of course. We wouldn’t miss it.”

Thirty minutes later they were walking inside their house. Harlow was just about conked out so Snow helped her get ready for bed and got her up the stairs before he got ready for bed himself.

(Okay!)

I woke up this morning at 7am with contractions but they weren’t very close together so I knew I probably wasn’t very dilated. I told you when you woke up as I was downstairs making breakfast for us and I looked outside seeing it’s really cloudy outside. “Should we call your friends over before it starts raining?” I asked massaging my belly feeling another contraction. I was 37 weeks pregnant and I was ready for this baby.

Snow kissed her before saying “Yeah I’ll text the group chat. My parents just texted me saying they might not be able to make it in time due to the rain that’s coming in but they’re going to try.” He had checked the radar a few minutes before he came down and it looked like a massive storm was rolling in from the south.

I finish making us breakfast and I put everything on the table after finishing a contraction. “15 minutes apart.” I mumble softly to you because we were tracking them together and your friend who is a midwife and helping us deliver our baby wanted to know when they were about 5 minutes apart so she could come by. “Maybe we should text the midwife too just in case the storm comes and she can’t make it.”

(Snow just has friends everywhere doesn’t he XD)

Snow nodded and said “Yeah I’ll text her real quick.” He texted her and got a text back a moment later. “She said she might go ahead and come on over. The storm rolling in is going to have some high winds. I don’t want anyone out on the roads if they don’t have to be. David and Julie are on their way with James and Theo is on his way as well with Jessie. My parents are about 45 minutes out.”

(He does xD)

I nod along with what you say and I was so excited to meet our baby hopefully today. “Our baby could be here soon. Are you ready?” I asked as I walk over to you and I wrap my arms around your neck loosely giving you a passion kiss.

Snow kissed her back and said “More than you know.” They stayed there for a minute before there was a knock on the door. Snow reluctantly got up and went to open it. David and Julie walked in with their baby in Julie’s arms.

When you pull away I grumble but then I was hit with another contraction and I just take a deep breath leaning my head back. I see David and Julie come in with a month old James. “I don’t know how she’s doing this naturally because those contractions hurt.” Julie comments as she comes over to me and I give her a smile. “Nothing isn’t too painful for my baby. I don’t like hospitals and would prefer to not be in one right now. I get to relax in my house with my friends and family.” I tell her and she lets me hold James. I smile at him. “Your best friend is going to be coming today or tomorrow whenever they decide to be ready.”

Snow and David were talking quietly about their plans for the future when there was another knock on the door. Snow went to answer it and found Theo and Jessie standing there. Snow smiled and said “I’m glad y’all could make it. There’s a bad storm rolling in.” Theo nodded and said “Yeah the winds are getting pretty strong out there.”

(thought I responded)

I was talking with Julie and she was had taken james back. James had fallen asleep and it was nice having our friends here with us. I decided to walk around a little bit to try and get this labor moving along. I see Jessie and Theo come in making me smile.

About an hour later your parents arrive and it had started to rain about 15 minutes before that. “Traffic was horrible. I think people are leaving town or something.” Your mother tells you and I greet them smiling. It made me a little sad knowing my parents wouldn’t be here but I guess it was for the best because they would probably complain about the storm. I was waddling around and breathing through my contractions that had moved to about 7 minutes apart. Luckily our midwife arrived close after your parents and she checks my dilation. She tell me I’m at a 4 and that I seemed to be dilating nicely. I was glad to hear that and I walk over to you giving you a kiss. You, Theo and David were filling up the birthing pool with water using big pots of hot water but it would take a while any other way and the water needed to be at a certain temperature.
