Fantasy The Lost Book

Warm. It was warm and furry, and breathing. Wait, his bed wasn't furry, and it certainly didn't breath. Besides, his room didn't smell like sandalwood, musk, and leather. Wait a minute...

Deidrick opened his eyes and stared up at a wooden ceiling and noted the soft breathing from a weight lying on his stomach. Breathing deeply to keep himself calm, Deidrick sorted through his tangled thoughts and the vague memories he had from his previous awakenings. Once he'd remembered the three other times he'd awoken, the event leading up to his present state filled his mind. Son of a bitch... Deidrick gave an internal sigh as he thought about the strange book, the obviously dimensional transport, and his magic going haywire. There was no way this was going to be a walk in the park; knowing his track record with magic. Deidrick groaned as he tried to mentally prepare himself for whatever trouble he'd managed to find this time. "Kilowitz is so dead." He croaked out and started slightly as the weight on his stomach disappeared and his face vision was filled with fur.

"Oh, hello there." He his voice croaked slightly less now. The fur receded enough for him to make out a face. The face proceeded to sniff around his face before turning it's head away from Deidrick and giving a loud, dog-like yip. "I'm guessing that to tell someone I'm awake huh?"
custom_dragon_1_final_by_fluffy_buffy-d67p8xv.png

"It is indeed goddess. I am glad to see you are well enough to speak. I am first mate Adam McKinley, and that is Heiden, a cloud fox. You are currently resting the captain's quarters aboard the Fairy's Favor. My apologies for your inappropriate treatment upon your arrival." Adam approached with a cup of water in his hand and offered it to Deidrick without drawing to close. "Again apologies, but if you are indeed awake, there is a matter that requires you attention." Adam refused to meet Deidrick's eyes and kept himself bent at the waist, out of respect.

Deidrick downed the cup of water quickly and instantly felt more refreshed. Inspecting Heiden as Adam spoke, he scratched behind Heiden's horns and was rewarded with a deep purring. "I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that you need me to deal with the fact that this ship is currently floating some 30ft above the water and is steadily rising. Alright, let's head outside, and see the damage" Deidrick made a move to leave the bed that Heiden was curled upon, and was startled into a small yelp as the cloud fox rolled around underneath him until he was draped across the creature's strong back. "Uhhh ok, forward Heiden." The cloud fox gave a snort in Adam's direction, who followed the duo, as they left the room and strode onto the deck.

"Goddess, you seem well. I am glad. I-I would like to apologize for my disrespectful manner earlier. I was startled by your sudden appearance and reacted poorly. I am Captain Mikkel Andellson. Please understand that this is not usually how I would greet one of your... magnificence." The tall, dark, and handsome captain approached Deidrick cautiously stopping a fair distance away and bowed, like Adam he kept his eyes downcast. Beyond the captain, Deidrick saw the rest of the ship's crew follow suit.

So, not only am I in a different world, or dimension, they think I'm a god...dess? Deidrick rolled his eyes as he looked down at himself. Well, to be fair I do still have a 13 year old body, for the most part. I guess it can't hurt to let them keep on thinking that. Deidrick cleared his throat. "I will accept you apology Captain Andellson. I understand that my arrival would have been greatly disconcerting. Now, I believe you are trying to avoid asking me directly to reverse the magic done to your ship, and I will gladly grant you that blessing; for a price." He paused to let his words sink in and noticed the slight tensing of Andellson's shoulders. "First, you will stop this bowing. Nothing productive was ever done in a god's name while a mortal's nose was pressed to the dirt." Geez, I sound like Mrs. Kartweiller giving a history lesson. "Second, I require information. It would seem that my knowledge of this plane is...insufficient. Third, I will require transport."

"Of course, Your Radiance. Anything you need, we will do our best to provide."Andellson's shoulders relaxed and the the entire crew straightened, but they continued to avert their gazes.

"Very well, I will remedy this situation presently." In truth, it was a simple fix. All Deidrick needed to do was open himself up and call the ambient magic back inside. There was a great deal of power still inside the fairy dust in a 2 mile radius, which was just as good seeing how low Deidrick's reserves now were. I won't be making anymore sun clones anytime soon. Reaching for his magic, Deidrick struck the same barrier as before, and his brow knit until the image of his scarf flashed into his vision. Drawing from the scarf instead of directly from his magic, Deidrick reached his magic, cautiously. Siphoning the magic from the fairy dust, Deidrick began to glow as his scarf floated behind his head before draping down his shoulders and wrapping around his arms, to drape down a few inches below his feet; it wasn't wrapped as lightly around his person as usual. His glow intensified as the ship began to sink slowly, and the unnaturally calm weather began to turn stormy once more. Deidrick felt the eyes of the crew staring at him in wonder as the ship swiftly, but smoothly, returned to the waters. Deidrick left just enough fairy dust in the clouds to keep it from raining onto the ship.

The glow around Deidrick faded, though his scarf remained airborne, and Heiden turned towards Andellson and Mckinley, who, like the rest of the crew, were staring at Deidrick in open astonishment before remembering themselves, looking down, and returning to their posts. "Now, on to the second order of business; information." As the Fairy's Favor turned to towards port, and set sail once again, Deidrick spent the time drawing information out of the crew about the word he was now in. Someone had a lot of explaining to do, and the sailors were only the tip of the iceberg. And I've seen Titanic.

Amala watched in... amusement? needless to say she was unimpressed about the girls actions and her attempt at stealth. Thinking about what to do about this she wondered if should even help, judging from her actions the girl wouldn't really be useful, at least when shes trying something. Amala thought that she she simply let the girl die or be captured. However these were brigands of this world, and Amala wanted to see how they fought here. She shouldnt believe that how these men fought would account for the entirety of the people of this land but it should give her a good idea, so she sent the bear to test them out and if they manage to take out the bear or drive it off she'll go test their sword skills.

The massive bear watched the hide wearing man rush at him only to retreat once there was a yell somewhere behind it, Turning around it caught sight of a few more humans talking amidst each other. It stared at them until it got a command from its master to attack, The bear dug its feet into the ground and charged fourth flying at maximum speed. No doubt they could hear the footsteps of large bear, there was no strategy, no effort of attempting to be quiet. It wanted to be known, it wanted to be attacked so it went for the closest brigand.

There was a long pause as Arachnos waited for Balfnaught to finish, he dared not interrupt him, it would simply be too rude on his part. Instead, he waited patiently, as time meant very little to the ancient god, and absorbed the details of Balfnaught's speech. When he was finished speaking, and his request was made, he nodded several times. There was a snort, and a laugh at the mention of signs of strength.

"Balfnaught is it? Interesting to meet a World Dragon. It's been several millennia since I had the opportunity to meet one in it's more humanoid form. But no, I'm not trying to show off my strength. Mortals do that. I'm simply causing more chaos. But I do believe you've overthought things here Balfnaught. I've never been the strongest in my universe, I simply have always known exactly how powerful I am at any given time. Just as I know right now, I am strong enough to decapitate nearly any being with a swipe of my hand, I also know that the damage it would cause to my own form. Hence why I did exactly as I did to these men and women, in front of those that used to serve them." He grinned widely as he spoke, "But yes, I'd be more than happy to have you stay around. You have my blessing to come and go as you please, Lord Balfnaught."

Arachnos paused, and turned towards the barbarians still present, "Do you hear me? I'm acknowledging him. He is to be treated as you would treat me. Be respectful. Barbarians, cutthroats, and bandits we may be, but we are not Savages!" Arachnos declared to those gathered.

There was a resounding shout of obedient agreement from the gathered barbarians, who swiftly went back to their own duties. Arachnos didn't even acknowledge them, but instead, he turned to Balfnaught, "I expect you've gone through quite a bit of issue since, coming here, and finding your higher powers limited." He nodded knowingly, "I was already subdued prior to ending up in this... whatever you'd like to call it, but I've experience with entering realms where your power is limited, so I sensed it more or less upon my arrival. It would be of a great deal of profit to you, to find out exactly how limited you are as far as durability, strength, and speed go. I would advise testing your limits, and working on refining your body while you spend your time here. To that end, I'll have some of my men sacrifice themselves to your Training." Arachnos actually raised his fingers up and made quote marks in the air, denoting that the training was incredibly redundant, but more or less a necessary evil. "Oh, Also, I'd advise you eat. I trust that normally, your body would require only the thermal energies of your planet to keep it in peak condition, but since your form is limited, Your going to need to consume food as the humans do. It's sometimes enjoyable, but usually quite disgusting. I'd try their drinks. Some are horrid, but give a fantastic after-effect. Alcohol! They call it the drink of the gods, but were not even that insane." He laughed uproariously, showing how truly mad he really was.

"Oh hey guys. Nice day today huh. I mean don't mind little old me. I was just trying to get by without notice. Which looking back on it was not the best idea in the world. So do you think you could let me by?"
She asked clearly gripping her instrument. Looking more like some girl who made a bad move rather than a bard who had fought worse battles. But for all she knew she would have to use it when all hell broke out.

The Bandits stared at the two lines of text and convulsed, the universe around them collapsing, creating a micro dwarf star that proceeded to collapse in on itself, creating a micro black hole, that began to consume all of reality as it expanded rapidly.

In actuality, the bandits drew netting off of their belts, throwing them at Cefrey in a rapid movement to snare her, "Look wot we got 'ere lads! It's a little rabbit! Bet she's mighty tasty!" one of the more disgusting looking bandits snarled out.

One of the female bandits, who was covered in warpaint, stalked over to the man, cuffing him upside the back of his head, dropping him to the ground in a single strike, "None of your Lechery Ugoth. She's for the master, and none else. You know our orders. A single hair on her head is worth your life, and all of ours."

The female bandit was clearly the leader of the group in respects of aggression. The other men fell in around Cefrey rapidly, drawing their nets tight to her, tossing lines to one another to strengthen the hold they would have over her.

Could she escape? Who knows, not me, do you? Because I sure don't. LETS FIND OUT IN Bakuyoshi Bakuyoshi 's NEXT POST!!!!

As The barbarians dealt with Cefrey, They broke off their approach on Luxta and Amala, and in all honesty, were probably so loud that either of them would be able to very easily foil any devilish plans the barbarians might have.

NPC Knox and Lotus and Guards

The two mercenaries looked at one another Knox barely able to contain himself and Lotus tried to keep him from falling over. When the dwarf told them to go inside they looked slightly concerned especially when the dwarf seemed to gear up.

“Perhaps it’s best that you don’t attract attention?” Lotus questioned before the two departed inside the forge. They were wanted by the guards so having them come around here to investigate was not something they wanted to stick around for. However, they were stuck due to the effects of alcohol.

“Dwarf… don you go dying on us…. We neeeeed more ale.” Knox laughed while Lotus pulled him inside.

Once the two vanished inside it wasn’t long before the six guards came up to the building and the dwarf seeing him in armor they quickly drew there weapons prepared for a fight.

“Explain yourself, just who are you and what is the meaning of this…..magic?” One of the guards asked.

Surely it had to be magic for a building to just appear out of nowhere. They took in the sight and couldn’t help but marvel as such power. They hadn’t seen anything like it before. They stood there waiting for the dwarf’s answer. If they could avoid a fight then they certainly would try to do so, but need be they would fight this being. Although given the dwarf’s size they would have felt that there would be no reason to worry, but the dwarf’s armor proved otherwise.

Calcifer, Ashton, Lilith-

Both Ashton and Calcifer watched as some of the blood orb spilled to the floor only to be surprised with it lifting once again. Ashton tensed and stared at Zekes in both awe and wonder. Calcifer narrowed his eyes in anger at the amount of power this man seemed to possess along with arrogance. The two men backed slightly seeing the wolf come towards them.

Ashton looked at Zekes and raised his hands “forgive me….” He stated calmly. The magic nullification is merely a precaution and is activated when the throne is threatened as we are now.” He stated calmly. It was more or less true he had to activate it, but he did feel threatened therefore validating his actions. He only hoped it was enough.

Calcifer glared at Ashton “There is no need for us to apologize you are in our country and in my castle.” The sorcerer growled. “You do not make the rules here.” He said pointing his staff at Zekes.

Upon the little outburst Ashton stepped away from Calcifer and moved to his right perhaps it was for fear of what this necromancer might do, or it was simply out of curiosity. Either way Ashton didn’t want to be in the middle and if the man were to lash out at the king he would rather be out of the way. Ashton might have been a great advisor but he was not one to lay down his life for his king, at least a king like Calcifer.

Lilith finally calmed down and dried her eyes from the tears she groaned slightly feeling the nullification in the air and clung to Zekes even more. She simply watched and her eyes grew big seeing the wolflike beast full of blood flesh and bones all compiled. This only made her more afraid but she still couldn’t bring herself to move pull away from the necromancer and she only clung to him harder.

“I’m scared” she whispered in his ear before seeing a familiar face.

The child scrambled out of Zekes arms and ran to the woman knight “Glory!” Princess Lilith exclaimed and hugged her.

Calcifer looked at the knight “Ah… You’re just in time.” He stated but there was hidden malice in his tone.

Khaos and Guards

The elf looked over at Leliana and paused seeing her glare at him it only made him pout. He couldn’t help but chuckle and nodded slightly to her. “but of course….” He whispered back to her his voice dark and smooth like chocolate.

The guards looked at the elf and then at Leliana as she spoke sweetly to them. Relaxing slight the leader nodded “Please… Come with us.” He stated and lead the way down the path out of the forest and into the capital towards the castle. They remained silent as they walked knowing they ought to leave the questioning for Calcifer and Ashton.

Khaos made sure to hang back and walk with Leliana as they made their way through the forest. “You want answers just as much as I do, this is the easiest way.” He whispered to her.

Guards at the Port

It didn’t take long before rumors of seeing a flying ship spread through Azide’s port and as the ship made port the guards were standing by to greet the captain of the ship and to check in on what exactly happened while they were out at sea and what they knew of the strange light.

They patiently stood by checking all ships that came in while they waited for Captain Mikkell’s ship. Calcifer’s mage that had gone with the group knew that ship and its captain. He despised the man and was so looking forward to questioning the man.

Pandora-

The fairy didn't stay inside the tent for very long especially with the kind of greeting Arachnos gave the newcomer. Curiosity overtook the small being and she morphed to her smaller size and flew carefully out the tent. She fly so fast that she zipped past Arachnos and stopped right in front of the newcomer's face. Sensing his being she moved slightly back but was still in the middle in between them.

She listened to Arachnos as he spoke and looked to him before turning to Balfnaught. She began to hover around him and moving around his head and then landed on his shoulder sitting down and crossing her legs. She giggled some as her voice chimed in his ear.

"I want to train!" her tiny voice said excitedly and she looked towards Arachnos eager to what he would allow her to do.

Meanwhile the fairy continued to get comfy upon Balfnaught's shoulder and leaned against his neck as though she was casually sitting in a tree his neck the trunk and his shoulder the branch.

Flint scowled at the guard that spoke, before spitting at said human's feet. "Yew know how Oi got 'ere yey pansy milkdrinker." He growled, gripping the hilt of his blade tightly. "Now, are we goin'a foight, or am oi gonna 'ave to let me constructs deal with ye?!" The dwarf barked, the runes on his blade and on the floor glowing brightly, almost as if excited for the bloodshed to come.

The guards started to laugh at the brazen dwarf's bravado, their leader stepping forward before crouching down to flint's level. Not his best judgement of the day. "And what could you do to stop us, Little man?" The leader asked with mockery and contempt. Opening his mouth to say more, he was quickly cut off, by a face full of adamantine and steel, as flint headbutted the human. The dwarf's strike was so hard, the sound of bone cracking could be heard as the guard flew back a few feet.

Flint let loose a battle cry, before charging the remainder of the guards.
"WHO'S LITTLE NOW YOU BLEEDING, NANCY BOY, WIZARD LOVING BITCH!" Before cleaving into the next victim. the black blade seemed to pass through the guards armour, before setting the man ablaze inside it, blood and entrails being held inside by said armour. The man's screams of agony was music to the enraged dwarf's ears, before charging back into the fray, cleaving and hacking into the intruders, blood speckling his beard and armour, his blade surprisingly clean, despite the burning disemboweled corpses behind him. It was a veritable blood orgy, of steel and screams of agony.

It was at this moment, the remaining guards realized, they fucked up, and quickly turned tail to flee, only to be mowed down by crossbow fire by the golems they had mistaken as statues on the walls. Blood soaked the stone courtyard, as the bodies laid about burning.
"Alright lads, toss the bodies in the furnace, and any metal goes into the foundry. Same as usual." Flint barked, before turning on his heel and making his way inside, slightly disappointed that they didn't put up much a fight. Of course the runes carved around the place helped out in that regard.

The Fairy's Favor reached Azide record time, and made port swiftly. The crew felt honored to ferry a goddess, but the constant fear of making a mistake and earning her ire was exhausting. Deidrick felt a bit sorry for the men, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to take advantage. He'd been told about Ariael's issue with magic users, and Calcifer's relentless hunger for power. He'd also managed to get some information on the general topography of Arieal near Azide, and some of the wildlife. Once the ship docked, he planned to find a couple of seabirds and store their wings; unfortunately, the dimensional shift had been powerful enough to corrupt his previously saved wings, and he really needed to add some insect wings to his collection quickly.

"Goddess Fae, it looks as though we have a welcoming party waiting for us. I would ask that you retire to my quarters while settle the crowd." Captain Andellson approached Deidrick, and kept his distance, as he finished questioning one of the crew on wind patterns farther inland. Deidrick nodded at the sailor, who then bowed and retreated with quietly relieved sigh, before turning to the captain with a questioning gaze.

"I am assuming that this welcoming party is Calcifer's." Deidrick's arches an eyebrow before turning and heading towards the Captain's cabin. Heiden fell into line beside him and pressed his head up under Deidrick's hand, eliciting a scratching. Mikkel followed after the two, keeping a respectful distance, always.

"Yes, goddess. There is a mage among then with whom I have... history." The softness of his voice made it quite clear that the history was ancient but kept reoccurring. He stopped outside the door to his quarters as Deidrick opened it a let Heiden in.

"Very well, I will wait here. I hope that this issue can be resolved without making a scene." Deidrick stepped through the door and closed it behind him softly.

"Of course, your Radiance." Mikkel bowed at the closed door before turning on his heel and heading to fix this issues before it became a genuine problem. There was a determined look on his face as he strode across the deck. "Look alive, men!" His voice rang out sharply, as he approached the gangplank to meet the mage's party before they could board his ship. "What ya be wantin', Ander Marshall?" ignoring the guard captain, Andellson addressed the mage directly.

While waiting for the captain to handle things, Deidrick sat down at the vanity and started using his telekinesis to style his short hair into something a bit more feminine. There wasn't really much he could do with his clothes beside rock the strangeness of them, but even short hair could be styled. Softening the edges, he made his hair curl around his face and rearranged his bangs to give him a lopsided heart-shaped face with the main bang only hanging heavily over his left eye without covering it, making his heterochromatic eyes more obvious. Sprinkling his hair, face, and clothes with fairy dust, he gave himself an alluring twinkle and an airy state. "I guess I could pass for a goddess." Deidrick gave his reflection a kind but knowing smile that really set the ensemble off nicely. "All right Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up."

"Oh such confidence, you all truly think you can capture me for your boss? Well that is funny, because as far as I can tell you lot are dealing with someone who is pals with a dragon." She said as she attempted to cast major image, only instead of a full grown dragon the illusion of a small baby dragon showed up. "What in blazes is going on!? That's Minor illusion not Major image. OK Invisibility!" She shouted only to learn her other spell did not work. "What in the hell did you're Warlock master do to my spells!?" She shouted as she ran through spells until she eventually found one that worked. She wildly played her instrument as she felt something familiar. Along with a thunderous boom she felt the wave of Energy fly out from her and causing some of the nets to get blown off of her. And any nets that were being thrown were thrown back. "OK Thunderwave still seems to be working. Best test what else works on you guys!"

Balfnaught finished his speech. He appreciated that Arachnos had not interrupted him. The rules of society did not bind them, but there were still a certain etiquette that should be observed. He stopped talking, his monologue complete. He listened closely to Arachnos' response, absorbing every word. It appeared he had been wrong about Arachnos being the strongest, but that was fine. Having total and complete faith in your own power was just as impressive, if not more so.
Another thing that Arachnos said piqued his interest. Arachnos had met World Dragons before? There were more like him? Well, none like him, but similar, at least. He had a few questions for Arachnos when he had completed his response. To interrupt him after he had given Balfnaught the courtesy of letting him finish would be incredibly shameful. He was quite pleased that he would be able to come and go as he pleased. Of course, he was going to stay either way, but he was glad that he didn't have to fight for it. He was also pleased to be treated like a guest. This was honestly just a formality, but it would make his stay here much easier. It still amused him how thoroughly Arachnos had dominated these bandits. They would slit their own throats if he but asked! Balfnaught had never had much use for others, but he could appreciate an overlord when he saw one! It was also interesting to find that Balfnaught was not the only one to have difficulty accessing his power. It was probably some unknown quality of this world, but Balfnaught had no idea what it could be. Testing his limits was a good idea too, as to avoid issues like his shoulder. The pain was lessening now, but it was still off-putting. Balfnaught was also fine with eating and drinking as humans did. He did it on occasion for pleasure back in his home world, and all he had to do was make that more regular.
"Very interesting. I must thank you for your courtesy. You've really met other World Dragons? I must confess, I was unaware that there were others of my kind. How did they compare to me? On another note, do you know if I have a lifespan? Or am I just immortal? I truly have no ide-"
Balfnaught was cut off when a small girl with wings landed on his shoulder.
New experiences already. This is going to be a fun trip.
He wasn't angered at all. Honestly he found it quite endearing.
"What is your name little one? And of course you can train with m-"
Once again he as cut off by his own surprise. The winged girl's eyes were missing. Torn out, by the looks of it.
"Oh you poor sweet thing. Who did this to you?"
Balfnaught's ancient eyes were clouded with sympathy. Just because he was a superior being did not mean he was emotionless.

Glory was caught off guard when Lilith ran to her as she entered. She suppressed her surprise quickly because at the moment she had a duty to complete. She took in the scene and her surprise turned to shock and horror. As she laid eyes on the bloody creature in front of her she froze. She had never seen anything like this, and its visage awoke a primal fear in her. She was finding it hard to break her fear, until Angelo strode casually past her with a large grin.

When Angelo walked into the throne room he was overtaken with happiness. He had walked right into a movie. He looked at the man he now learned was Calcifer and was kind of disappointed. He expected a Saruman, but got a Jafar. It was not that that was bad, but he lacked the presence of a good movie bad guy. The other guy in the room on the other hand was amazing by comparison. The man at base reminded him of the actor who played Wolverine in the X-men movies, and if that wasn't cool enough the man was covered in bone armor. "I love this place so much," Angelo said to himself

Angelo was going to address the man, but he found that he had one major issue. He attempted to talk, but found himself unable to speak any thing but his own language. "I didn't lose focus or anything, so I should still be able to speak these people's language," Angelo said to himself "Maybe something is interfering?" He attempted to you his ability on a belief that he knew Glory had, to check if his powers were still working. When he reached for his powers nothing happened. "Well, this is not ideal," Angelo thought "Well I'm sure this will work itself out." With that thought out of his mind, he waved to Calcifar and walked casually up to him with a smile.

When Glory saw Angelo walk forward she found herself looking at him like he was stupid. She knelt down to Lilith to talk to her. "It is dangerous here Lil," She explained "Go run and get some help, I don't want you to be in the middle of this." She then gently pushed her towards the door and ran after Angelo. She grabbed hold of him and pulled him to the large platform that elevated the throne, and took a defensive stance in front of him and Calcifar.

When Angelo got dragged to the platform he found himself speaking out in instinct. "What are you dragging me for," Angelo said surprisingly in her language. When she took up her position and was covering him and Calcifer, he realized that she was trying to protect him. "I have to say, it feels good to be the one getting protected," He thought, a grin creeping on to his face as he did. As he enjoyed the moment he found himself wondering why his powers had activated again. He played around with some possible beliefs to make sure his powers were back in full, but made sure not to do anything apparent. As he had figured, his powers had returned, so he spent this time silently augmenting himself in case something went wrong.

Glory kept her gaze on the man in bones and his creature as she quietly addressed Calcifar. "Lord Calcifar, would you mind filling me in on what has happened," Glory asked "As a knight of the old kingdom I was made aware of the anti-magic field of the throne room. I'm sure you have activated it, so how is this man still using magic?"

Angelo's raised an eyebrow at the information he overheard. "Oh, so that was what was going on," Angelo realized "That explains a lot. Well at least I'm in a better position now." Angelo walked forward and fell into a defensive stance beside Glory. He had used his ability earlier to gain Glory's sword prowess so he fell into form with grace and ease. "Damn, she is actually really fucking good," Angelo exclaimed to himself "I can feel what I am capable of and I am worried for what is on the other side of my sword, this feels good."

Now that he no longer had to bluff his way through the situation, Angelo's confidence returned in spades. "So, bone man," Angelo declared in this worlds language "I hope that you will surrender so we can talk this out like rational adults. You haven't attacked yet, so I have a feeling that you aren't as bad as your appearance leads on." Angelo sheathed his sword and stood from his stance, to show that he meant the man no harm. He knew that he could draw his weapon with blinding speed even from this position, but he didn't need to let the bone man know that. "So, what will it be my friend," Angelo asked again "I'm sure you have a good reason for assaulting the ruler of this kingdom.

Glory stayed in position, but quickly understood what Angelo was doing. The man was clearly powerful, and since Calcifer seemed to be on the defensive, their chances of victory seemed very slim. The bone man seemed very confident, so that just added to the idea that they might be very outclassed. In the moment, she found herself smiling at the fact that her new squire was able a assess their situation so quickly and take action as well. "There will soon be reinforcements," Glory added "There is no need to take this any farther than it has already gone. Lets call off your creature and deescalate this situation."

The mage stared down his narrow nose and looked directly at the captain and couldn't help but smile. His smile was eerie and unsettling at the very least. "Is that any way to address me, a mage, captain?" he asked with a low chuckle quickly enthralled with the displeasure from the captain. He fed off of tension and and anger and to him the captain was just another play thing.

"As you may know Lord Calcifer requires all magic users... and well there was this bright light in the sky and the rumor of your ship flying..." he said stepping onto the gangplank walking to the ship. "Please... tell me about that." he inquired of the captain his eyes looking past the man scanning the ship watching every crew member that was visible for any sign of weakness. He knew interrogating the captain would be useless, but the crew members not could prove promising. All he had to do was find the weakest link among them.

The mage made quick work to move past the captain and onto the ship the guards following behind him but still waited his orders. "Did you acquire some magic on your journey?" The mage asked curiously as he walked around inspecting the deck while he waited for the captain's answer.

Knox and Lotus-

The two inside were at the door slightly cracked peeking out watching the dwarf fight off the guards with ease. They looked at each other with an eager smile and scrambled back seeing the dwarf come towards the door. Knox fell back on the floor in his drunken state and Lotus started laughing as she faced the door.

"You should join us... we are mercenaries of this port... and could use an ally such as yourself!" Lotus exclaimed rather excitedly.

Knox was about to speak when a loud hiccup escaped his lips "I second that motion...." another hiccup escaped his lungs. "we make 'ead'uarters and a...a.... a... um... and we make 'ead'uarters and a pub.... to hide the 'd'uarters and make lots and lots lots of money!" The man exclaimed wildly as he grabbed his mug holding it towards the dwarf in hopes of gaining more ale to drink.

Lotus looked at her partner and laughed "I second" she said looking at what she hoped to be their new ally.

Anyone who could take down Calcifer's guards with ease was someone to be allies with. Granted their jobs has become easier without magic users around due to them not having any but that didn't leave them helpless. In a world of magic users those who had none learned to adapt and Knox and Lotus were notorious for doing just that.

"What say you?" Lotus asked holding out her hand to him.

Pandora-

It was odd for her to sense madness mainly from Arachnos and yet here were two far greater beings than Khaos and they felt sympathy for her. Or at least what she perceived to be sympathy. Where they were from if anyone found it to be such a heinous crime for the elf to gouge her eyes they said nothing. Of course in her world Khaos was wild and well quite chaotic. Those who knew of him feared him, not for his great strength but for his unpredictable abilities. He used anyone and everyone in whatever way he felt like it. In fact when the small fairy thought about it she was quite surprised he had kept her for so long, this was probably due to only her use.

She looked between the two of what she could sense and not really see and how she wanted to see them. So she attempted to send out a signal to her master since they shared a connection (he had her eyes after all). She would bring him here to face judgement or perhaps the wrath of what seemed to be supreme beings at least from the sound of it. If Arachnos had the sense to make anyone who came in his presence fill with madness then Khaos would be unprepared, then again he was already mad in his own right, like a mad hatter.... The fairy giggled at the thought of khaos being given the title a mad hatter and wondered how it would infuriate him. She wondered how the elf would fancy himself among these two here a dragon of sorts and a god.

Pandora soon realized she had yet to respond to Balfnaught as she became lost in thought. "An elf." was all she answered to Balfnaught but there was mischief in her voice and a rather dark grin upon her lips.

She was a dark fairy after all and at times she may seem sweet but she was far from. Although she didn't approve of Khaos' ways there was a reason she was curious of him. While he meddle in the lives of those lesser than him her kind did far greater. She was a dark fairy and she lived up to her name. It wasn't by use of what others would call "dark magic" magic was simply magic to her. But the idea of the darkness that filled her heart. It was all coming back to her now. If she had eyes they would have the look of malice in them and would be utterly cold and yet beautiful like stars in the dark sky.

Perhaps the madness of Arachnos was getting to her and the small fairy was simply drinking it in as her heart filled with vengeance. She always sought justice and wanted Khaos to pay for what he had done. Not by use of death, he was far too useful and valuable to kill. These to beings she was now with gave would give her the exact opportunity she needed. She didn't even have to convince them while both of them took one look at her empty eye sockets and she could sense the empathy dripping off of them. Yes, Khaos would pay, and she would use them to do it.

Khaos Varsh-

Khaos followed the guards until he paused a moment and turned back he could feel the tug of magic being pulled from his fairy pet. 'where did you run off to Pandora?' he inwardly asked.

"sorry gents.. meeting your king will have to wait... you see I have a pet of sorts who needs tending to." he said pulling a card from his hat and with that threw it at the guards stunning them.

After the stun he turned to Leliana and gave her a wink "see you around" he said and with that ran off towards the magic pull in search of his fairy.

Khaos ran a few miles with ease being an elf it wasn't hard. He stopped after awhile to get a better sense of direction as he continued to feel Pandora's pull. "what have you gotten yourself into" he said with a sigh and looked around sharply and cautiously as he made his way towards Arachnos' camp.

Zekes Liotre

There wasn't any real alteration in his personality. Zekes simply stared at Califer, his eyes cold, filled with muted hatred. The power emanating from him refined itself and reduced down to his form alone, drawing itself into his eye. There was a moment where he blinked slowly, and shifted his gaze onto Angelo, using the Godborne eye's ability to observe a being, and find out information and data on them. The process was instant, and usually undetectable, all he was really gaining at the time was the man's language. He shifted his attention entirely to Angelo, finding little to no threat from Calcifer, considering that the man had already been infected with his Actuate blood ability, and would be under it's effect for the remainder of his ill gotten life, Zekes no longer saw him as a threat. There was now something far more dangerous in front of him. Something unpredictable, entirely unknown, and thus far more dangerous than a being he could control with little effort.

"Indeed. He murdered a member of the former royal family who was at his mercy already. I know not of the laws of this land, nor will I be bound to them. I am, as I have been within all lands I have traveled, above the foolhardy laws of men and mortals. However, All are bound to the laws of life and death, to the laws of potential and decay. These are facts that are inescapable. It is the duty of my particular sect to uphold those laws in a sense. The murder of a being with greater potential than ones self is inexcusable, as it causes instant decay within the cosmic balance we are all a part of. But I digress, the man had no cause to murder the child, as such, I seek to enslave him to my will, or exact potential retribution upon his soul to restore the balance." Zekes explain at length, "There is little you, or the fair knight can do to dissuade me from this course, as there is no logical reason to allow a power hungry tyrant to remain in a position of power where he squanders the lives of those with high potentials."

As he spoke, Zeke's fleshy wolf apparition shifted its weight towards Calcifer, it's many eyes opening and closing as they focused upon the various targets in the room. There was Glory, the knight was of little consequence to the wolf, it's form would absorb blade blows with little effort, deflect most of them with it's rigid musculature, and it was more than capable of dispatching her with only a few moments of effort. It was, as it was with Zekes, more wary of Angelo. He was an unknown factor, and thus, the most dangerous thing in the room. The wolf didn't growl, it didn't even do much besides shifting itself to be between Zeke's and the group across from them.

There was a moment of logical thought that passed through the mind of the necromancer, he sighed quietly. It took a great deal to maintain the wolf, and more so in a realm where he had yet to make any pacts with the local gods. He raised his right hand towards the group, his bone dagger sliding out of his palm slowly, until the handle arced back into his hand, so that he could hold it backwards, as though ready to stab a target with a downward strike from above. In Zeke's left hand, his beholder's eye was held, he had slid it out of a pouch while he had spoken, it's eyeballs spun until each of them came to focus on a target.

"The question I have for you is, why do you support him without first knowing the circumstances of his current feud?" Zeke's asked in an almost accusatory way of Angelo.

Arachnos

There was a grin on the old god's face as Pandora appeared. The little fairy amused him greatly already, so in that Balfnaught found her endearing was all the more to the being's credit. He paused upon Pandora's arrival, but didn't wait long after she had replied to reply to Balfnaught's questions.

"The courtesy is given freely, and willfully. Be at ease, Lord Balfnaught. As for the other World Dragons I have met, they varied in strength. It seems your species gains in power as they age, but I've never tried killing one of your kind. Too much taboo around it among the mortals, and if you damage those, it actually tends to work against your purposes. The last I met, I do admit, I killed, though it took a greater deal of force than I had originally intended to use, Seven planets fell in the process as I recall. My sister was not amused when I held it's head in front of her during dinner." Arachnos released a great bark of laughter that pealed across the barbarian camp with a shockwave of mental energy that caused the bandits and barbarians to released a unison battlecry.

Arachnos looked slightly amused and shocked, "Humans... so malleable to my energies. It's a pity it's not direct control. Or this camp would work itself to death." he released another laugh, this one didn't have the same effect, as it wasn't as loud or enthusiastic, "As for your species longevity, in my realm, they live until killed, and are often the beings that maintain balance within the universe, much the same as I do with my siblings, though on a much smaller level from us." Arachnos explained to Balfnaught.

He watched Pandora with continued amusement as he had when he first witnessed, "Incredible little thing, isn't she? She showed up just a short time ago. One of my patrols found her, though I assume she found them. She is a guest here, just as you are. Though it looks as though the two of you are already getting along quite well." Arachnos looked pleased.

For an almighty god of chaos and destruction, he was quite tame at the moment.

All around them, the barbarians had been working on the borders of the camp, they were moving rapidly under Arachnos' orders, creating a massive wall of freshly cut timbers. It was monstrous work, but under his influence, they did not fear injury, and any who fell in service, was used to decorate the wall. Arachnos' methods were not to strike fear into the enemy, but rather to incite madness in his followers, to fuel his powers even more so. As it stood, he was unable to use his powers, but his influence aura swelled with range and strength with each passing hour. Plants near the camp became rapidly twisted in a way that would make them appear even more chaotic, nature itself was beginning to twist to the ancient gods will. He could feel his kill count rising slowly as those influenced by him fell and rose in numbers. For even as his power grew, every one of his followers also spread his madness to the world, the barbarians that entered the local villages caused outbursts of violence in the population. There were few that resisted Arachnos' influence, and those that did, generally were slaughtered by their kin within minutes. Those that were lost to his madness, became part of the growing horde of his followers. It allowed him to expand his influence passively and without resistance, for even if his soldiers were killed at range, the mere sight of his war banner drove weaker minded individuals to madness, simply as an after effect of the ancient god.

(A note, Arachnos' influence would fuel dark desires within player controlled characters and NPC's produced by players would have varying resistances based on their makers wants. Arachnos' mass spread is for the mass populace, not the more intelligent NPC's, IE Enolx Enolx 's Glory, or other similar NPC's. However, the common villagers, yeah, they're getting smooshed into the horde.)

The Bandits in the Woods

They did STUFF (No, really, I was gonna just post this, just to mess with Petroshka Petroshka )

As Cefrey showed an aptitude for magic, the bandits shifted instantly, the female bandit didn't hesitate as she noted the spells used, she drew one of her knives with a ring for a pommel and rammed it into the ground, pulling a long cord with a hook on one end, and bola's on the other. She began to swing them over her head, before sending them flying at Cefrey's legs. Another pair of bandits had begun the same motion set. They had been mage hunters during the early days, and were more adept at killing mages than most. So capturing one didn't worry them so much. The second and third bolas were aimed for Cefrey's throat and arms. The idea was to hamper her ability to run, her ability to cast spells, and to speak. The remaining bandits had little experience in hunting mages, but what they did know, they drew out similar corded hooks, as was a standard tool among most mage hunters, and sent them flying at Cefrey, dropping the heavy weighted ball that was the end of their cords. For them, it was about snaring a limb or clothing and slowing her motions. The nets had failed due to their overall damageable are and slow approach speed, even if she were to use a blast technique now, she wouldn't be able to stop all of the hooks that flew at her, nor all of the bola's.

As for Amala's bear, several of the bandits within the group broke off to ward the beast off, but it was Luxta that caused them all to reel. The massive warrior was stunning sight to see, and with the bear approaching beside him, it was as a myth from ancient times had just entered the fray. Arachnos' influence was powerful, but the level of fear they felt shattered it rapidly, and one of the men ran screaming. The remaining three that were set to confront Luxta and Amala's bear spread out. Two of them would probably get attacked, but the third could at least help whomever was assault by Luxta, the man against the bear would just have to pray.

Captain Andellson crossed his arms across his chest as he followed the mage onto the main deck of the ship, then simply followed him with his eyes. There was a deeply etched scowl on his face as the mage began poking around. "If I had magic, ya think I be sittin' her wastin' time wich ya? No. I be flyin' ta' a diffin port. What ya really be wantin', Ander? I don' wrinkle sheets wit castas." Mikkel decided to keep up his charade, and hoped he could goad the mage into forgetful anger. All he had to do was search Mikkel's cabin, and their secret'd be out. Not that he was too worried, but even Ander Marshall didn't deserve to be smited by a vexed goddess.

Inside the captain's cabin, Deidrick sat quietly, scratching behind Heiden's horns and patiently following the conversation. He hoped the smooth talking captain eould be able to handle the situation without him. He could use magic, but he wasn't up to full speed yet; that'd take days.

"I hope not." Leliana responded before Khaos disappeared with a wink. Her tone was flat and definitely not approving. He got her into this, and now he was getting her out. She'd investigate without an escort.

She'd told him his fairy was missing, it wasn't her fault he wasn't listening. She'd tear him apart if he showed up again. Leliana looked at the slowly recovering guardmen with a sigh. What was she going to do with them... she circled around them, inspecting there gear before stepping back and bowing in a mocking manner. "I think I'll continue without an escort, Monsieur's." Leliana said silkily with a smirk before she waved her arm in an upwards fashion, she was shielded from view by a thick cloud of black smoke, seconds later instead of Leliana was a black crow, and she took off into the skies.

Leliana was soon soaring over the trees, she loved the feel of the wind hitting her face, as a bird, she felt lighter, vulnerable but somehow more... free. She decided she'd look for civilization first and find out what's going on, as she glanced ahead, she couldn't help but notice a distant camp and flew over it to investigate, perching on a freshly made log, obvious by the newly cut timber. She'd arrived just in time to see the fairy interacting with a few men. If she was lucky, maybe she could squash the fairy before Khaos found her, though she doubted that be easy.

She had no worries of being caught. After all, she was just a bird. Nothing about her was unusual, visually at least. Perhaps the barbarians or bandits of some sort would give her a clue as to where she was, or the fairy was doing the same.

Balfnaught chuckled as the winged girl answered his question. The elves in his world were immortal ascetics who spent most of their lives in secluded areas pondering the mysteries of life. None of them would bother themselves with removing another being's eyes. Just shows how much variation there is among the many worlds. Balfnaught mused to himself.
"Well then little one, I will be sure to show this elf the error of his ways if I encounter him. You're quite a good manipulator by the way, you seem to have had a lot of practice. There's more to you than some innocent little girl. I don't mind. It just makes you more interesting. I also don't mind that you're manipulating me into punishing this "elf." I was planning to teach him a lesson anyway, so our desires coincide. I really can't blame you for it either. However" he said, his voice dropping a few octaves, eyes widening and boring into the girl's mind "If you ever try to manipulate me into something against my will, nothing will save you, for you will have committed the greatest crime possible. Alright!" His eyes returned to normal, along with his voice. Now, I need to talk to Arachnos for a little while, then we can train together.
He transferred his attention to Arachnos, hearing what he had to say about his kind. He considered it for a few moments, then burst into laughter.
"Hahahaha! I guess this just shows the differences between our realities. I've never had any interest in maintaining the balance of the universe! I lived as a God on my world for my entire existence. There seem to be other differences as well. For example, while I do not have confidence in defeating you, I can say with total confidence that you will never be able to kill me. I wonder if I am young or old by their standards? No matter. I must take my leave now, I'm afraid. I need to get a handle on my current abilities until I find out how to regain my higher powers."
He turned on his heel and walked over to a relatively open and clear area of the camp. He drew a large circle in the sand, about thirty feet in diameter. He motioned to five men to come over to him, and they did, grim resignation in their eyes. They had heard Balfnaught and Arachnos' earlier conversation, and knew what was in store for them. However, refusal meant certain death, so they walked forward in the tiniest, vain hope that they could live. Balfnaught dropped his robe from his body, leaving him standing in a pair of loose grey trousers.
"Come, with your weapons. Attack me with everything you have. Don't hold back. Come to kill me, and I will do the same!"
Balfnaught roared as he ran forwards, low. Like he was trying to tackle someone. He reached his target, the foremost bandit. The element of surprise was a vital thing in battle. He leapt upwards, slamming his knee into the man's chin, slamming his brain into the walls of his skull. Even if he wasn't dead, he would never be right again. He had hurt his knee, but not badly. If he had gone full force, the injury probably would have gotten him killed.
Startled into action, the rest of the men surrounded him, attacking him from all sides with their blades and clubs. He had fought groups before, like when he wiped out those avatars of the Gods. He had survived that fight without a single injury. However, now, he wasn't as strong, his senses not as keen. He was struggling, barely avoiding most of the attacks. He didn't even have a single chance to respond. This was the way to train, on the edge of life and death!
Suddenly, a dagger scraped against his arm. It was a minor wound, but the damage done to his pride was far greater. Fury rose within him. He had been damaged by mortals? Lesser beings? This could not stand!
He twisted away, and saw an opening in the man who had stabbed him's guard. His arm blurred, and suddenly his fingers were in the man's eyes. The other men backed off in terror, the battle suddenly changing dramatically. They were separate now, not a team. Child's play. They kept attacking, but he had found his rhythm. Nothing was hitting anymore, not coming close. One went down with shattered ribs. He had a chance of living if no organs were damaged. The next one wasn't so lucky. A strike to the breastbone. Straight through the heart. Neither was the next, a strike to the windpipe. He died, still hoping for one last breath. The last one ran, his terror overwhelming him. He left the ring, and Balfnaught sighed.
"Kill him"
An arrow flew, and it tore through his life.
"Having people follow your orders is nicer than I expected."
He winced. He had a better handle on his strength now, but he had still damaged himself. He had dislocated his finger when he gouged that man's eyes out. He relocated it quickly, ignoring the pain. The other injury wouldn't go away so easily. He had fractured his knuckles when he punched through the bandit's chest. He walked back to Arachnos.
"Do you have a spare tent by any chance? I'd rather not sleep outside."

Arachnos

There was a somber expression on the ancient god's face as he watched his domain. He noticed things rapidly, and of them, Leliana was one of them, his eyes bored at her being and his lips drew back in a grin that would send most running to the town guard for aid before running for their lives while the guard died vainly. His attention however, drifted back to Balfnaught as he fought, he followed after the man to watch the spectacle, and laughed aloud when he ordered the death of his cowardly final sparring partner. He waved to some of the other men idly, ordering them to clean the area.

"Take the skulls as trophies for Balfnaught here. All within my camp keep what they kill. This is my law." He declared to the bandits who moved rapidly to follow his bidding.

Shaking his head at Balfnaught, he frowned slightly, "No, no spares at current, well, save for those of the men you just butchered. So actually a few in fact!" he said excitedly, "But your combat method worries me my friend. You let your anger get the better of you. While it's not detrimental, it would cost you in a fight against a real opponent." Arachnos explained, motioning to two of the men at the edges of the camp.

Each of them was a smith, fire hardened men, their bodies coated in scorch marks and soot. They stepped forward, bowing their heads to Arachnos. With a slight motion, he beckoned them forward there was a pause, but both men complied. Arachnos placed his hand on each of their faces, and there was a long moment of silence as their eyes widened. They each took a stumbling step back, and took positions within Balfnaughts ring.

"Watch now Balfnaught, a sample of what my madness does to mortals." Arachnos explained wickedly, his eyes shimmering with delight as he sent the two smiths into the combat arena.

The two men were larger than most, and both were so over muscled from working the forge that they could have easily crushed any other man's skull with their bare hands, but as they approached the arena, each took up a weapon from various decorative standards. They met in the center, held their weapons aloft, and then after touching them together, they began to spar. The fight between them was unlike that which Balfnaught had just experienced, both men's movements and actions were with reckless abandon, though still so precise, that each was able to feint, recoil, and dodge the others attacks, and follow up with a counterstrike so rapidly, it was unbelievably hard to follow, even for Arachnos. In his weakened form, he simply marveled at how far he was able to push the men.

The older of the two was very battle wizened, he bore an axe with a bearded end, Arachnos watched his movements carefully, as the axe was a favorite of his, and as such, he was delighted to see it's hewing edge sing towards another worthy foe. His opponent, a younger man, who was wielding a broadsword so large, it would be useless in a lesser man's hands, parried each blow successfully, and spun his blade around in an arcing manner that showed of his prowess and agility. It took several minutes for either of them to score a hit, but it was the elder who finally gained purchase against his younger foe, the beard of his axe bit into the younger man's side during a feint, causing the younger man to step back rapidly and go on the defensive. The elder man took the opportunity to bring his blade towards the youngers neck, but his foe had remained calm, and he deflected the blow easily, before sweeping the older man's feet. There was a loud crashing thud as the elder man landed upon his back, his axe swinging towards the younger man's ribs as the younger man brought his blade down to thrust into the elders throat.

Arachnos raised a hand, "Enough." he said calmly, and each man stopped, mere inches from ending the others life, "I'll not lose a pair of smiths with as much tenacity as you two. Well done. Take your fill of drink and food and then return to your duties lads."

There was a grin on Arachnos face as the younger man reached down and helped his elder to his feet, the two men bowed to Arachnos, before wandering into the camp for nourishment. The elder god grinned quietly. He did love to inspire mortals to bloodshed, and it was even more amusing when they used his own battle regime against one another.

"They'd have each dodged at the last moment truthfully. Though, the elder would have eventually won. He's far greater stamina than his young protégé. I'd not lose my artisans, even if I can force them to fight to the death with just a touch." Arachnos explained calmly, motioning towards the men as they walked away.

Turning his attention back to Balfnaught, he looked at the man's hand with a frown, "You'll want to eat. Get red meat, and lots of their fruit. I'd also suggest visiting the smiths, have them make you some armor for the time being. With lots of straps and weights to slow your movements down, and keep you encumbered. That will keep you from hurting yourself again. Can't have someone as interesting as you getting hurt, simply because your too strong for your own good. It will help you adjust. Before you think to argue, trust in my judgement. I've been where you stand now, unsure of what my own power could do to my form. Believe me when I say this Lord Balfnaught, you do not want to find out how much pain you can go through before you beg for death. My brother put me through such a trial, and would have broken me had it not been for my elder sister. But that, is a tale that needs drink, and a great deal of it, and as of right now, I've no thirst for such, nor do I have the time to tell it until I've secured my warband. I do apologize, but for now, I must focus on the security of my fort. War is upon this realm, and if I am to bring it to their doorstep properly, I must do so with the utmost care." Arachnos explained at length, his tone was more than stern, it held the knowledge of countless battles.

He stepped past Balfnaught, his hand resting upon the other being's shoulder so rapidly, it would make little sense as to when Arachnos moved it to do so, his grip upon Balfnaught's shoulder was that of a vice, "There is, one last thing, All guests within my camp, are under my care. Manipulation or no, the sprite is not to be harmed." His tone was beyond lethal, it would drive most to sheer insanity, Balfnaught would feel the pressure from Arachnos' mental aura shift, it would be darker, more aggressive, like a great beast turning it's gaze upon prey momentarily before lumbering off to find larger game, "Make sure you go to the medics as well, they're at regular intervals. Have them check your hand out. We don't want an injury holding your progression back, now do we?" He said with a warm smile, his grip leaving Balfnaught's shoulder as he patted the man where he had gripped him, before he finished his step past.

While Balfnaught was still gaining his own aptitude for his physical strength, Arachnos had a long history of accepting challenges from his siblings, to fight wars without his godly divinity. As a result, he had utter mastery over his own form, and was more than capable of pushing his body to the edges of it's limitations, without causing himself harm. He also knew exactly how strong he was, how durable he was, and how fast he was. As a result, he had complete understanding of what it would take to overwhelm Balfnaught in his current state, but he would rather the other male find his own limitations, and exactly how far he could push the envelope before self harm became an issue.

Balfnaught1 Balfnaught1 (A/N: Arachnos' current level of strength and understanding of his limits dwarfs Balfnaught's, I would caution retaliation to Arachnos' warning of clemency for his guests. Balfnaught may be unique to him, and thus valuable, but he is utterly mad yet coldly logical, so his reaction to aggression would be swift and violent, and not to knock on your character, but I don't think he could handle Arachnos right this second due to the limits of needing to learn his own limitations.)

Ander chuckled and paused in his step towards the Captain's quarters. "This is simply an investigation... you understand..." he said waving his hand in a dismissive manner. He took another look around the deck and then looked to Mikkel.

"My question for you Captain is did you see a bright flash of light in the sky, it was seen as far as the castle if not farther." he explained and crossed his arms over his chest waiting for Mikkel's answer.

The guards with him searched the deck and below all that was left to search was the Captain's quarters and if that were to be done Ander would be sure to do so personally just to irritate the Captain.

Calcifer, Ashton, and Lilith-

The child looked to Glory as she ushered her to the door but the girl did not obey. She glared as Glory performed her knightly duties to protect their king and this new guy with her he looked strange. Lilith kept her eyes on Glory and slowly came back and stood next to Zeke's just to prove a point. She wanted to be on the winning side and well from the looks of things Zekes was that winning side at the moment.

"you insolent brat..." Calcifer muttered under his breath and held his hand up for Glory to stop speaking.

"This man is from another world... due to the spell I preformed." He stated simply.

It was really stubborn pride that masked the fear Calcifer was feeling from Zekes great power especially since he bypassed the magic nullification. Ashton looked at his puppet rather disappointed.

"My lord we are out numb....."

"Silence! there is four of us and two of them... if you want to count the brat.." Calcifer chuckled waiving his hand idly towards Lilith but his focus was kept on Zekes the only real threat in the room.

Ashton looked at Calcifer and then to Zekes "forgive me my lord but we are outnumbered in strength. I would prefer to not die due to your pride." The man stated and stepped off the throne to the side. The nullification had little effect on him not just because he was the caster but also he was the second strongest in magic in the room. However, he even knew when he was outmatched and felt that this was a pointless battle.

"Lilith... Come... out of the way." Ashton told the girl

The child shook her head and stepped closer to Zekes and looked at him waiting for his instruction.

The fact that everyone seemed to be seeking direction from Zekes or willing to lay down arms in fear of this man only angered Calcifer. "Enough!" He yelled "Glory... attack... kill all traitors." He instructed pointing to Ashton and Lilith. Ashton only laughed and crossed his arms casually over his chest looking at her almost begging her to try.

Calcifer would have dealt with Ashton but he would need to focus on Zekes and the wolf. He held his staff towards the wolf like beast a yellow gem on it began to glow as he accessed the stolen power of a magic user with the use of telepathy of sorts and attempted to rip the wolf apart.
