Futuristic The League of Mutants

"Shade, thanks again. for saving me." Skyler smiled and looked at him slightly. She smiled and looked around before tapping his shoulder. "Are you coming? I made a great pasta and the others are making meats and salads.."


Talon moved after hearing Tony talk came to a freeze. He barked and stayed hovering next to Tony, resembling a guard.

Toyoko walked in front of the 5-star Hilton hotel, ready to meet her roommate and get mutant-ready. She lugged her suitcase across the cracked and crumbling road, and entered the abandoned home-replacement. She had been staying in an alley, barely surviving, when she followed a rabbit mutant over here. She had quickly gathered her things and came back to the motel, ready to live in better conditions than before, yet she wasn't sure how good they would be.


She looked at the lobby, which was surprisingly decked out in golden-framed paintings and luggage racks lined up perfectly. "Hello?"

He finally found it, the source of the smell. It was better than he expected. It was certainly spaghetti being made, but so were other things. 'Perhaps I can get away with just a small taste.' he thought to himself as he tip toed over to one of the bowls, andwith ears swivelling around to try and catch anyone trying to sneak up on him, Conner takes a fork, and shoves it into the spaghetti then into his mouth.
 
Jarek sighed with relief as the elevator doors opened, although as he was about to walk in he heard a voice. "Hello?" Jarek turned around, ready for fight or flight. "Who-..." It was a cat mutant.. She barely looked like someone who would kill.. Although Jarek did fall for that trick with innocent person leading people to their 'friends.' Jarek scratched his neck and finally spoke. "Huh... Hello.. I'm Jarek, who are you?"


Alright Jarek.. Be friendly be nice.. And you might not die in the first five seconds if this was an ambush.
 
"Hey... I'm glad to see I'm not the only one here. I'm Toyoko Rieya, by the way. Tiger mutant." Toyoko held out her hand and grinned. She was expecting to have to take care of herself, but this proved she wasn't alone. Besides, he could be useful for some practice flirting for the future...
 
"Hopefully you like it." Skyler climbed up the rope she placed earlier and waited at the top. "It should be right up here."


Talon hovered nearby and wagged his tail.
 
Conner heard people coming and quickly began to think of a way to hide what he did. Swallowing what was left of the spaghetti that was in his mouth, he wipes his face with his sleeve and hides the fork behind his back. Hopefully no one would see it, not if be could help it anyway.
 
Shade looked up at the dents in the walls then the rope, he climbed up after she started, not looking up, looking forward but still climbing, "I'm sure I'll love it" He smiled
 
Jarek eyed the tiger mutant up. She seems nice enough? Apparently she's not going to lead me to a band of mutant robbers.. So theres that. Lovely. Jarek smiled, "Toyoko Rieya? I'll remember that then.." Jarek accepted her handshake. "Glad? Well I guess you'll be happy then.. There's a lot more friendly people up in that tower. Although the elevator only goes to floor ten.. I'm sure the other guys already made something for people to climb with.." Jarek took a step to the side and extended his hand to the elevator. "There's food and water and judging by the faint scent of cooked food I would say they are making a feast. C'mon." Jarek grinned from ear to ear.
 
Toyoko nodded eagerly. After almost starving her whole life, she was definitely ready for a feast. "Alright! Let's go!" Toyoko followed the scent of what seemed to be pasta and began passing Jarek because of her love for the new smell.
 
Jarek leisurely followed Toyoko inside the elevator and pressed the button to floor ten. "It's going to take a while, but rather slow and steady than an elevator crashing. So while we wait for the short moment. How long you been out there? Surviving? You look like you could eat a horse and still be hungry.


And I would guess you didn't hear the broadcast.. Not a lot did, this place would be swarming with survivors if everyone in the city heard the broadcast." Jarek continued to study the newcomer. Humh.. Tiger mutant.. I wonder if she'll go along with all the avians.. Or Avery.. Humh.. Then there is Madison, she would need to be introduced when it comes down to it.. That or Madison going berserk and destroying everything.
 
"Yeah just up here, I really hope they left us some though..." Skyler spoke softly before seeing Talon, and gesturing, "Talon, come on over here."


Talon came running and perched on her shoulder and wagged his tail.


Upon Talon perching on her shoulder she petted his head lightly before seeing someone she recognized but hadn't known the name of. "Hello, I'm Skyler, you already met Talon.'' She smiled, " I sorta sent him to you because you shouldn't go alone in case of an ambush." sshe had a slight nervous mumble.
 
"Well uhm..." Toyoko blushed. "I've really been surviving my whole life... and I got here because I saw some black haired bunny-boy coming... wait, broadcast? What broadcast?" Toyoko's ears perked up. She wondered when it had been sent out, and how long she'd been alone all for nothing.
 
Jarek held back a chuckle. "I guess I can take credit of being the black haired bunny-boy.. Although I am a hare mutant." He smiled and tilted his head a bit. "Uhh.. I think the broadcast said something like this.. If you received this then that means you're still alive.. hopefully, there is a Hilton hotel located in the center of the city that has food, water, and if you don't have wings there is an elevator or someone who can will help you. Good luck surviving and remember, it doesn't matter whether fur, skin, feathers, or scales. No one is different when your together... " Jarek nodded "Something like that." Jarek smiled again as the doors opened up, the scent of food growing stronger as they neared the 13th floor.


Jarek looked up at the missing floors, lowering his head and studied floor tenth's missing ground. "I'm glad there's atleast some concrete left to stand on. Anyway.." Jarek noticed the rope by their side and tugged it. "Seems like the others got a makeshift way up.. Well you could also climb, I saw some of the other mutants do that.. " Jarek backed a bit and looked at the walls. "Or I could pick you up and carry you the last two missing floors up as I do some freerunning magic." Jarek chuckled at the last part, but still kept a serious face. Well Jarek that didn't sound goofy at all.
 
"Hello? ...I am speaking to you," Skyler proceeded waving her hand in front of him thinking he spaced out, As Talon barked, "And I apologize for being rude." She smiled as she waited for Shade who was climbing up the rope still.
 
"Hello." Conner said. He did space out for a bit, trying to think of a way to stay out of trouble. He kept the fork firmly behind his back. "Looks good, don't it." Conner said nodding towards the food.
 
Shade finished climbing up, he stood next to her and looked at Tony, "Hello Tony, I'm Shade, Shade Shadowmane" He held out a hand for a handshake "Pleasure to meet you" He smiled
 
"Pleased to meet you Tony." Skyler bowed lightly, before holding a hand out, Talon watched happily and hopped down hovering nearby. Skyler felt better now making friends with three mutants she somewhat trusted, "I am not really good at making friends or polite conversations." she shrugged lightly.
 
(Weren't talking to me. I made a mistake, and I will correct that by having Conner continue eating.)
