Fantasy The Land of Lynthia

@korigon

It may become a closed roleplay, but hopefully only during certain events that would make it a hassle to include new characters in. If there's not too many already, it should reopen after such events take place and would allow RPers to introduce their characters more appropriately ^^

If for some reason it does become closed for good, still feel free to send me a PM asking to join if you're still interested. I'm sure I'll be able to make room, and I have, after all, personally invited you!

I have some unfortunate news for everyone D:

I found out fairly recently that I'll be moving in about a week... What this means is that the current location I'll be heading to will not have internet for sometime. There's a chance I may be able to access it for a week, but there's no guarantee.

I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, so so, so very sorry for any future inconvenience should it happen. T_T

I really did not expect it to happen so soon and so quickly, it's in no way a bad thing in general but it does pose as an unfortunate circumstance for this RP. I'm also afraid that I have no way of knowing when we will have internet again and how long it'll take, it's just a matter of waiting. Now, there is a chance I'll be able to get on here regularly somehow, so keep your fingers crossed.

I am not closing this RP, not yet at least. Character forms can still be accepted and put up, and I'm hoping we'll at least be able to start on the RP and get things situated. Depending on how things go after that, I may choose to close it after I leave, but hopefully keep everything up (or at least characters) so that when I get back we can pick up right where we left off, if everyone is still interested. I really don't want this RP to die when it hasn't even started yet, and after all of the work I put in through the Overview and then the effort you guys put in for your characters... I'm just so very sorry for the situation, and I feel incredibly guilty, but I hope you guys understand and are willing to bear through this with me and make this RP happen one way or another.

Hope for the best that this warning isn't even necessary and I'll have a means of somehow staying and there won't be a need to pause at all. Nonetheless, I wanted to give you all fair warning, especially if I had no way of contacting anyone after I left, and you all would of been left in the dark.

I'm sorry! :( My fingers are crossed that you will have internet as soon a possible! I don't want this roleplay to die either. It's amazing and I LOVE everything about it. You could always have a person monitor the roleplay while you're gone to keep it from dying. I'm not sure if you want that, but it's a suggestion :3

If you don't think you'll be able to start the RP by yourself, perhaps it would be best to tell the co-GM what you plan on doing, and let them start and manage the RP in your stead (until you get back)? Heck, you can assign multiple volunteers to ease the load! The last fantasy RP I joined experienced the same problem, and basically peeled out at the starting line until one of the players forcibly took over.

That has crossed my mind, yes! Thank you both for the suggestion, I'll very likely do that if it comes to it, and it'll at least keep the RP running and from dying. It'll probably mean holding off from what was originally plan to start the RP, but hey, that just means more possible routes to take for plots! We'll see what happens and I'll let everyone know what we'll do before it's too late.

That said, I think I'll stop accepting any more forms now (not including the ones that have already been posted). That way we'll be able to start the RP sooner.

So, before you start the moving process, I'd give @BoysPlantGraves any information they'll need to start the RP, and give them temporary control over the RP. That way, we can start the RP without having to wait a week or so for the cable guy to finish installing your internet.

@DrBones

As I was a helper with the roleplay I am aware of what in the original case was meant to happen. Currently we are attempting to reconstruct certain areas of the plot that may lessen the intensity of the roleplay while we're without Katsa for this hopefully short duration of time.

We hold good intentions to begin the roleplay soon and allow our characters to interact.

Yay!

And dam alerts dint reasive any from here the OOC oh well atleast i read....hope GM returnes soon but Moving takes time and aslong this RP dosent die i will be Positive and here till it starts ^^

speaking of i see a Nother Fighter in the Grupe -3-...seems we have the one Brute Strong and all out Smash! wille the other is a fast moving and flexible fighter with Explosive Punches....best...team...ever

I hope the rest of you are ready, because tomorrow night (maybe a little bit sooner) we RP! BoysPlantGraves and I have been discussing the possible plot to take place during my absence, and we've (hopefully) figured out an effective way to get the RP started and have it progress during my absence should it occur, so none of you have anything to worry about!

Now then, as creator and hostess, let me officially extend a very warm welcome to The Land of Lynthia! May your imagination thrive from the deepest caves into the earth to the highest peak of the mountain and beyond!

*Raises hand again*

Is fork a Musical Instrument?

ok sorry but really im exited to get the Punshing started! cant wait to put all my imagination to full thrust and aswell get the adventures started!

xD

I'm glad! I would be more excited myself if it weren't for the inconvenience of moving and I might miss out for some time... But if it does come to that, hopefully it won't be for long! So long as everyone gives it their all, keep the RP alive, and have fun, then it will all be very well worth it!

It may or may not be a good idea to completely close character registration when the RP begins.

Just after the start is generally when a lot of players completely drop the RP. Closing the RP at this point may discourage potential new players who could replace the quitters.

It'd probably be best to keep character registration open, but ask characters accepted after this point to wait until a good point in-story to insert their characters. 'Course, I can absolutely see why you wouldn't want to have to manage so many characters at once. Maybe assign some players to look over character sheets and decide whether they're decent or not?

While I do see your point in this, I'm afraid that I'm only comfortable when it's me looking over character forms and determining if they'll be appropriate or not for the RP.

This doesn't have to do with lack of trust or reliability toward anyone else, and BoysPlantGraves has been such a very big help thus far, but even he is still relatively new to Lynthia. He knows more than most, I believe, but there's still a good deal of information I haven't been able to include into the overview yet and who knows how long it'll take to type it all, and even then there could be some I've missed. Lynthia has been a place I've been working on and molding for years; I know what it's about, where it's heading, what's living in it, and what could be around it. In short, only I would really know what's acceptable. I don't want to risk having other characters be accepted while I'm gone, and come back to see that they don't quite match with the RP and tell them they need to undergo some changes, which could also cause arguments.

Of course, I could go with what you said before hand and go over forms during the time I'm still here, and have them join later after everything takes place. I'm not entirely sure of that idea, though. I mean, we have about ten Rpers, not including me, and I doubt we'd have so many drop out that there won't be enough left to make for a decent RP. In fact, I was almost worried we'd have too many.

Good news everyone! We don't have to worry about me disappearing. I managed to get my phone today, which I had been hoping for, and while there still won't be internet where I'll be moving, I'll at least have it on my phone. And what luck, the forums are possibly working on an App for this site specifically! My replies may not come in as great starting Monday, or as frequently, but it's definitely better than vanishing and not hearing from me for awhile. BPG will still be helping me out, of course, especially if my actions are still limited on the phone, but everything else should go fairly smoothly.

Anywho, down to business. The first post has been given and the RP has started! I apologize for the lack of... quality in the post, my first posts always tend to be on the bad end of things, but I assure you my future ones will not be as bland. The introduction is meant to summarize an attack from the Xillies at several locations, all dependent on where all of our characters have been during those times. Our characters would of fought against the Xillies for whatever reason, whether for their own cause or someone else's, and would of provided aid in driving them back. Their actions have been notified to the King and he now wishes to see them, and of course no one can refuse his invitation ;)

When everyone makes their post, it should take place a couple of weeks after your character got the letter. The RP will begin in a large room inside the castle, and your characters would of been escorted there by at least two of the King's guards. In this room is a round table with plenty of room for everyone to sit at, and several guards stationed in the background at each corner and two more by the doors. Tapestries, tables with flower vases, and so on are the only other pieces of furniture decorating the room. This is where our characters will be, and you may summarize why and how they're there, such as why and how they fought the Xillies and so on.

The King will not be present yet, I'm hoping to use this time to give us a chance to introduce our characters and get to know one another just a little bit, and then have the king show up. I hope this works well for everyone, and if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask!

P.S. I also included King Jair's character sheet with the others, so check that out if you like!

Overview Update: The Hanged Man and The Lord of Iron added to the "Lore & Traditions" tab.

I'm sorry I'm so late everyone, but I've made my intro post now! (yay~~~)

Now, would any of your characters be willing to read the summons for Cathy?

If no one else is, I can have an NPC come to Cathy's aid :3

May I ask where she's currently at on the map? The meeting will be starting somewhat soon, so it may be wise to not have her be far from the castle, if she's not in town already.

Actually, all I've currently stated is that she's in a pub. She could be anywhere.

Oh, I've been trying to improve the humour in my writing - with that in mind, how was my character intro?

OH FACK IM SORRY! i dint know it started! i went bowling today and no alerts AGH!

Its late here so MIGHt make my intro post now but might be short....is there anything i shoold be aware?

That's alright, we only just started! Not as of yet except what was already discussed here and in the Rp. Everyone is in the castle except for Jipan's character, Cathy, whom can't read the letter invitation :3

Perhaps your character can meet her and help her out?

Yea sure! were is she now?

Just to save sometime from reading long post xD
