The RP shall be commencing as normal, with Zero's and Boom's characters being escorted out of the RP. I'll make a post regarding this that will include how they left and maybe why, while keeping them in character as much as possible which I hope I can accomplish, unless someone else wishes to acknowledge their leave in their own post. For now I'll await for everyone's reaction to King Jair's words unless I'm told to go ahead and skip over you, although the RP won't be progressing until everyone's characters either agree or disagree (if this, then we may have an issue with keeping everyone's characters together, but maybe an alternative could be made) to go on this quest.


In terms of Thinslayer's character Fang: whether he wishes to keep the cross bow or abandon it and use armor is up to him. If he does, I'll still be doing my best to, as Jipan put it, "rationalize" how he can to the best of my ability. I may also come up with alternative weapons while I'm at it. But should it still be the cross bow, I may go for a more anthropomorphic approach for him so it'd make more sense, but whatever direction I take I'm confident I'll come up with a solution that will make everyone happy. That's the hope, at least. In the meantime, Fang will still be addressed as he is for the sake of the RP.

I wanted to know everyone's opinion on this:


The dwarfs, as well as the elves most likely, are supposed to be much more advanced in crafting and smithing materials than humans. Originally, the only metals that I know of that existed in medieval times is gold, bronze, silver, iron, and steel, as well as maybe a few others such as tin and aluminium. Of course, this is only from our own ancestry involving humans. Since Lynthia is its own world that involves other races such as the dwarfs, I'm thinking about adding in metals as well as maybe some other things that were discovered a little later than the middle century. To make things easier, from when a metal was discovered originally, we deduct about maybe... hmm... 200-500 hundred years? It'll really depend on the metal itself and what it's usually used for if it'll be a right fit for Lynthia and no one abuses its use, but it'll give us more diversity, and it'll also explain why Fang has stainless steel-made teeth.


I will admit, crafting, blacksmithing, and the like aren't my strong points in terms of knowledge, which is why I'm asking everyone if this seems suitable. I've been doing research of course, which also led me to ask this question, and still am! So tell me what you guys think in the meantime ^^


As a somewhat side-note, I was also thinking about making up metals and such that were discovered specially by the dwarfs, and possibly only used by them, and maybe some others that were made by alchemists and then metals crafted by elves whom have included their own magic to it.

Come to think of it, Gold and Silver don't rust and were used for fillings and replacement teeth for a long time, so instead of stainless steel, it could be silver-plated steel, instead, as this is something that could have been made quite easily back around that time. Thoughts?

That's interesting, and could work. I might still include more metals, either fake or real, to give the dwarfs and elves a more unique smithing approach, but the original metals would be much more abundent and easier to smith possibly, unless said otherwise. If it comes to it, I might dedicate a page to all the different metals and their use, and then a page for herbs and poisons.

Do any of you wish to post yet? You don't need to, per se, but King Jair can't know the answer of your characters unless they tell him themselves, and it makes it hard for me to acknowledge any of them without knowing what they are doing.


If you want me to assume they said yes, then just let me know, but if this becomes a habit then the characters won't really have any real substance in the story.

Zerohex and Boomrocker decided to leave the RP, and their characters are no longer with the group unfortunately. In the post I just made, I acknowledged them leaving to explain their absence. That's the only major change right now, everyone else is still here and the RP is continuing as normally.


Rp-wise, I'm not sure when you stopped reading/being up to date, but King Jair is finally in the room and has commenced the meeting, and he revealed that he wishes for the group to join together in order to stop the Xillies. They would be in charge of tracking their movements as well as 'studying' them, finding out their weaknesses, strengths, and their behavior in order to best exterminate them from Lynthia, while also finding out who their leader is. The mission is up to the characters to decide if they accept or not, they are free to choose, and King Jair did promise an award should they be successful. Ajax and Riese, Zero's and Boom's characters, decided to leave the castle and refuse the mission (as my last post shows), and so far only Raven, my character, has said she accepts. The others haven't really said anything yet whether confirming or denying the quest, and I haven't really heard from DrBones.

That's in the past now, not really important anymore, the only significant thing was that it caused the departure of Zerohex and Boomrocker which was and is very disappointing... If you do want any of the details or need anything cleared up, just send me a PM and I'll be more than happy to bring you up to speed!

I also apologize for lack of communication on my end, I'm not sure if I explained I'll be very busy this week or not, but here's the warning anyway. I'll still be checking in, though!


Anyway, I'm planning on just skipping over and move everyone to after the meeting, but that will depend on who is actually still here. I'd post by now but I was the last one to post anyway. If there's enough still present to make a decent RP, then I guess we'll post without the others until they come back and explain their absence, if they do.
