Realistic or Modern The Lake House

Scott

Scott was no way in hot hell was an early riser, but soon as he shifting a bit a familiar scent of food hit his nose. Following by the unessacary amount of ligh hitting his eyes from an open curtain. With a long groan he sat up rubbing his eyes. Shuffling arund he found some cut ff dickies and changed out the plaid bottoms to some shorts. Still not putting a shirt on.

First stop the bathroom half assing it all the way including his hair. Just simply brushing it out of his eyes as, he slumped all the way down still shirtless. Giving a sleepy smile.
"Mornin"

Lucas

'Thanks.' He replied to Collin's offer, and walked in to grab himself a plate. After taking some toast and other things which were out, he took a plate and joined the others at the table. He had just begun to eat when he heard footsteps outside the door, indicating that another of their friends was arriving. Sure enough, a few seconds later Scott appeared in the doorway, dishevelled as always. Lucas gave a small wave in response to Scott's sleepy greeting, before focusing again on the plate in front of him. Despite being a simple meal, it was well cooked-compared with the standards of some breakfasts he'd experienced, at least-and he felt somewhat guilty, for not waking up in time to help with the preparations. Still, it couldn't be helped, and the guilt was soon replaced with the sweet taste of bacon.

So, only Addy, Rose and Joe are still sleeping? Funny that he'd miss the first meal in the house. I'd have thought he'd be up already to continue gloating about this trip. He smiled a little at the thought. But still, it's kind of odd that the host would sleep in. That doesn't seem like the right etiquette.

Chrissy

"You're such a doll. You know that?" In response, she flashed one of her wider grins at her friend. Sophie was definitely a sweetheart herself, but it wasn't often that she accepted that fact, regardless of how many times Chrissy and the other girls said so. "It's just bacon." She simply laughed a little as she made her way back to the fridge, opening it to look for anything else they might need for breakfast. "So what are your plans for the day?" At that, she only shrugged a little, but not in a way that seemed careless or demeaning. Truthfully, she didn't mind much what their plan for the day was, so long as they wouldn't be going anywhere crowded and there was an actual plan in the first place.

While Chrissy was bringing a bottle of milk and a carton of orange juice to the dining table where Collin was already sitting, Lucas came into view. She had always had a sort of soft spot for the guy, though she didn't exactly always agree with him (then again, this was also the case for anyone else). They had quite a few things in common and his presence was a comfort at times, since he reminded her of the kind of people she grew up with back in her hometown. With a fond smile in his direction, she turned again to re-enter the kitchen. By the time she came back to the table with some cups, she found that Scott had made his way downstairs as well. Inevitably, his appearance brought a slight frown to the corners of her lips.

The dining room was spacious enough so that it didn't feel crowded at all. At most, it felt cozy and she guessed that it would be more so once everyone else arrived as well. Gesturing towards Sophie so that she would join them at the table, Chrissy got a plate for herself and then found a seat. For a moment, she wondered if she should wake the others, but remembered that it was still considerably early and decided to let them be for now.

Finishing up in the kitchen, Sophie debated whether to eat now or clean first. In all honesty, she wasn't even that hungry. She had been when she first came downstairs but after some time the feeling just faded. The food did smell good, however, and the idea began sounding more inviting by the second. Washing her hands lightly once more, she dried them quickly, turning and heading in the direction of the dining room as Chrissy had gestured for her to do.

Glancing around, she noticed that a few of the others had decided to wake up as well. Still, not everyone was here, but this seemed like a decent turn out for this early in the morning.
"Good morning," she said with a smile, looking from Lucas to Scott. Compiling her own plate of food, Sophie took a seat next to Chrissy. After pouring herself a glass of orange juice, she took a sip and started eating. For someone who wasn't used to cooking much breakfast wise, Sophie had to admit that she was proud of herself at the moment. Even if it was such a simple meal to make, she had still made progress.

Thinking back to one of her first days at college, Sophie distinctly remembered how bad she was when it came to cooking. Baking wasn't such an issue but making actual meals had been. Not even a week after her arrival, she was forced to evacuate her new apartment due to a fire caused by her attempt to bake a chicken. Needless to say, it was an embarrassing thing to have to admit, therefore she hadn't said much to anyone about it. Instead, she forced herself to cook even more, working hard to improve her skills, simply hoping that she didn't make the same careless mistake again.
