Realistic or Modern The Lake House

75

Joe

It was near evening when the crew finally arrived at the lake house. The cars - including a nicer one that Joe's brother had (sort of) lent them - looked rather out of place, parked on the dirt road and surrounded by trees, not city buildings. Other than that, though, the place was pretty much just as Joseph had left it the last time he was here. If one thing was for sure, it would be that there was no 'going halfway' with his parents, especially when it came to money.

The house was extravagant, to say the least - beautifully designed, spacious, and clean. Even Joe would admit so. This particular one was the largest of all of their vacation homes, which also made it his favorite. The falsely wooden exterior could be called old-fashioned , but inside, there were a number of rooms and plenty to do. In fact, calling it their 'Plan B' and having even considered an alternative was almost a shame.

In the midst of the excited chatter, Joey took a few steps forward and then turned around to face his friends. With the house behind him and his usual half-smirk on, he shook his head a little to emphasize what he was about to say. "So, do you love me, or...do you love me?" He pursed his lips to create a smug, yet playful look.

Chrissy

The ride had been decent enough. A little stuffy, but Chrissy didn't complain. She never complained. Plus, she adored her group of friends (most of the time, anyway). The last thing she wanted was to spoil what might as well be one of their last big moments together before they had to face adulthood. That thought alone was unsettling, but she didn't let it show in her expression.

Readjusting the strap of her bag on her shoulder, she looked around in silent appreciation of the scenery. This place was a lot more like home than the bustling city she'd worked so hard to grow accustomed to. The house was a different story, though. It was humongous and looked more like a museum than an actual house that people could occupy.

Chrissy's gaze shifted onto the guy up front as he turned to face them. For a moment, she couldn't help but to wonder how much his parents had to pay for this place, but she pushed that thought aside for the time being. After hearing what Joe was saying, though, she rolled her eyes and let out a breathy chuckle of mild amusement, shaking her head slowly.

Sophie

Standing outside of the beautiful home, Sophie was just happy to be out of the car. They had driven for so long it was becoming unbearable. The company was nice, though, and that certainly helped. Something about being cooped up in a confined space just wasn't appealing to her. However, now that they were here, she wouldn't have had it any other way. The home was beautiful and extravagant; exactly how she had assumed it would be.

Looking around, they were surrounded by a thick forest; trees everywhere with distant sounds of birds calling from above. Her eyes trailed to the lake. If it wasn't too dark by the time everyone was settled in, she might just head down to check it out. Speaking of which, she looked back to everyone else in the group, trying to remember if they had even talked about the room situation. Hopefully someone had that planned out already.

As Joey spoke, Sophie smiled. The smug look on his face made her want to respond with something witty and sarcastic but nothing came to mind. In this moment, she actually did love him. Or maybe it was just the house that she loved. Either way, she was happy that their 'plan b' turned out to be better than their original plan. Well, to her it was anyways. She had been wishing for a chance to get away from the city and here she was now with her friends, spending their spring break in a place surrounded by nature, peace, and beauty.

Addy

Addy stretched. Being cooped up in the car for so long wasn't really all that bad. She adored her friends and any chance she got to be with them. The lake house was a welcome sight because it meant even more time with the group before they all headed their separate ways. Addy wondered if they would always keep in contact or even see each other again after graduating. The idea that they were nearing the end of their friendship put a frown on her face.

"So, do you love me, or...do you love me?"

Addy looked up at Joey, thankful he was pulling her out of her thoughts. "It is a really gorgeous house!" she exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear. "Of we course we lov- uh, appreciate you letting us come here." Addy blushed. She'd always had a soft spot for Joey, but saying any sentence with that four letter word in it would be so embarrassing. Did she actually like him? Maybe it was his his flirtatious demeanor? He treated all the girls they knew like that, though.

Addy's eyes trailed down to the ground for a moment, as she tried to shake off her feelings. There was still a slight tint of pink in her cheeks from her blunder.

Scott

Scott was coming down from a calming buzzed sensation, when he jumped out of the car like a mad man. "I thought the back row was roomy, this house takes the cake." He gave a genuine smile towards the others, being internally grateful that he had such loving friends. "So Joey you striked again, you got a dillema and you cease to amaze us."

Cracking his back in front of everyone, he let out a yawn and brushed his hood off as he walked around everyone in awe still. Not only did he like Joey but he liked a few of the girls. It's just who could handle the pot. I guess the perk of being tall is getting a full row or seat to himself. "Now who are we sharing rooms with?"

Lucas

Lucas finally managed to squeeze out of the car and into the fresh air. The house loomed in front of him, vast, imposing, and absolutely breathtaking-but then again, he'd expected nothing less. It was Joe, after all. He puffed out his cheeks as he let out a sharp exhalation of breath, taking in the scenery around him. It reminded him of the kind of picturesque sight one might see on the back of a postcard.

The ripple of mild amusement spreading through the group was palpable, and Lucas faintly wondered what had been said while he was getting out. However, his question was soon answered as Addy spoke up, thanking Joe for letting them come, and blushing profusely. From that, he guessed that Joe probably made some kind of arrogant comment about his house. Behind him, Lucas heard a loud thump, and turned around to see Scott waking towards them. It was clear that the house had him just as enraptured. Lucas allowed himself a few more moments to lose himself and admire the scenery, before he was snapped back to reality by Scott's question.

"Now who are we sharing rooms with?"

Who were they sharing rooms with? He hadn't thought about that-most of his thoughts had been on what the place would be like, and how they'd spend the holiday. Now that they were there, however, he realised that there were a lot of things he hadn't considered. Like the fact that this could very well be the last experience they shared as friends-but he'd been purposefully blocking that one out.

"I call any room that isn't with Sir Stoned a lot." Lucas called out, and flashed a joking smile at Scott. "Don't take it personally, but I'd rather not go home smelling like Bob Marley threw up on me..."

Collin

The car ride could have been worse if you think about it, after all there weren't screaming kids crying for food or something like that. Collin quickly stumbled out of the car to get some fresh air. The snapback that was covering his messed up hair should usually block the sun out of his eyes, but since he never wore it like 'normal' people it was blocking the sun out of his neck. "Holy shit.." he mumbled quietly to himself as his eyes spotted the lake house in front of them. It was really huge in his eyes for just a house to spend the summer in.

He wasn't sure what the others said before but by what Lucas said he could guess it was about who was going to share a room with who. Personally he didn't really mind since they were friends after all right? He just never really had a thing with Lucas, why is a good question. But he would just see what was going to happen. If it was too much drama he would just sleep on the couch but he didn't really expect that.

"Shotgun a room with someone who doesn't snore?" He chuckled a bit once he said it, he wasn't even sure if he actually snored. Only one way to figure that out. Is there even a way to stop snoring? he thought by himself as he stared in front of him. For one moment he was calmed down for a bit. It was a pretty peaceful place since the only sounds you heard were birds or other animals who lived around.

Rose

Rose stepped out of the car she was in for a few hours. She stretched, and then walked up. The fresh air filled into her, making her fell less car sick then before. Rose loved being in the the fresh air. There were people hanging around the house. Being the weirdo that Rose was, she decided to laugh at her own joke. The laugh echoed, but Rose didn't care if she got stares.

There was a beautiful pond that lay aside the cabin. God, it was beautiful. Rosalina adjusted her band bracelets, and decided to enter the cabin. Rose didn't care who she had to spend the nights with in the room she would be in. She just hoped that they wouldn't be a meanie or anything. That's what Rose called people who were mean (*COUGH COUGH* regina george *COUGH COUGH*). Rose didn't like being in any drama. She just wanted to have fun. Rosalina decided that after this trip, she would go to Disney World with the friends, and potential boyfriend, she has met on this journey. She had tons of extra money to spend, anyways.

"Holy shit this place is the size of my dog at Thanksgiving..." She mumbled to herself. The place was pretty huge. Rose brought out her phone and checked in there was any reception up here. There was none. "FUDGE NUGGETS!" She yelled. Her voice echoed through out the building.

Joe

The response wasn't an ideal one, but satisfying enough. "Of we course we lov- uh, appreciate you letting us come here." In reaction, Joe flashed Addy a knowing grin and winked, a typical gesture for him, especially when it came to this particular blonde. There was something about her that was interesting or at least entertaining. Perhaps it was the unspoken truth that her parents most likely had more wealth than his did. Or maybe it was her gullible and easily-flustered nature that made her an easy target. Joe never thought too much about reasons, though. Life was a lot easier that way.

To Scott, he gave a shrug. Joseph didn't really mind who he'd be rooming with, either, but he found himself chuckling at Collin's words a moment later. "Shotgun a room with someone who doesn't snore?" Joe shook his head slowly, a now more amused grin on his lips. "And who's going to put up with having a roommate who sounds like a bulldozer when he sleeps?" He raised an eyebrow playfully before turning around to continue towards the house.

Once he was at the door, Joe unlocked it to reveal some rather classy furniture and an elaborate interior design. After pushing the door open all the way, he was the first to enter the house which was still vaguely familiar. "We'll do more roommate talk once we see the actual rooms, yeah?" His suggestion was casual, but to the point.

Chrissy

An amused grin crept across Chrissy's lips in reaction to Lucas's honest answer. None of them had anything against Scott (well, as far as she knew), but no one could disagree with what Lucas was saying, either. Her parents would most definitely disapprove. Not that that mattered all too much, though.

Adjusting her bag once more, she followed the group quietly, as usual. The inside of the house was just as magnificent as the exterior, if not more. Even the rugs looked expensive, and she wouldn't be surprised if the dining table was worth more than her own house as a whole.

Chrissy turned when she heard Rose freaking out about something. She laughed a little, mildly amused by her friend's antics. "What is it? No service?"

Scott

Scott just rolled his eyes when the other rejected him. "It's all organic, man." He smirked a bit going inside looking the wonderfully decorated surrounding area. Not Excatly sure how to respond to the new building, he just looked in awe and went to sit in an overly pushed couch.

"I'm starving, any food in here?" He asked looking at Joe and the surrounding area. Tempted to just go the the kitchen and scrounge. Still he eyed Chrissy a bit and shrugged. "What's rose squawking about?"

Lucas

As the group sauntered into the elaborately furnished room, it was clear that he grandeur they'd witnessed from outside was only a fraction of what they would see during their stay. Lucas cast his eye appreciatively over the furniture, which was exquisitely designed down to the finest detail, and couldn't help but think that it was only a matter of time before something got broken.

"I have to say, you've really outdone yourself this time..." He said, his gaze coming to fix on a beautiful vase which was displayed on one of the shelves. Yep, definitely a matter of time.

He chuckled at Scott's behaviour. How typical-they're staying in the finest house most of them have ever seen, and the first thing he does is sit down and ask about food.

Rose

"There's no cell reception..." She said. A upset expression appeared on her face. Rose's cell phone was practically her only best friend here, other than a pen and paper. Rosalina laughed at her own actions. She ran outside and decided to go for a walk.

The hiking path there was really pretty. Flowers and other plants bloomed out everywhere. It was beautiful. Rosalina found rocks to sit on, so she decided to take a break and stop walking.

Collin

Personally Collin hated the idea that he had to carry his bags to the house later, when he was finally settled down. So while most of them stumbled inside already he decided to grab most of his bags already. It wasn't much stuff because knowing Scott most of the things you need would already be there. He basically just threw some of his clothes and most important things in his backpack. Then jumped into the car and ended up in this beautiful, peaceful and wild place. Collin hung his backpack over his shoulder and carried his other bag over one shoulder, then he followed the others inside the lake house.

"That's done already, by the way this house is incredible Joe" He said as he dropped his backs on living room floor, leaving it there since they didn't decide who was going to sleep where yet. But from what he saw when he only walked inside said enough already about the sleeping rooms. With one of his hands he lifted up his snapback, went with his other hand through it and then placed his snapback back on. Scott was asking around about food already without even being in the building for a minute. But that's Scott.

Sophie

Listening intently as everyone spoke, Sophie shrugged her shoulders lightly, glancing around.
"I'm open to rooming with anyone," she stated plainly. The group was already tossing out little, hopefully friendly, jabs at one another. It was nice to see everyone was also liking the place so far. For a minute, she was worried that more than just Rose would be upset without cell service. However, she was sure even the phone junkie would get over it as the days went on.

Sophie wandered into the home behind the others, carefully eyeing the interior while she placed her bags on the floor. Smirking at Scott's request for food, she shook her head and turned in the direction of the stairs. Joe had mentioned checking out the rooms before going any further with their discussion so she would do just that. As she made her way over, it was hard to keep her mind set on one thing. She began thinking about the amount of time they would be spending her more or less stuck together. Even for a pretty good group of friends, there was likely to be drama; something she had hoped to get away from this spring.

Turning back a bit to face the others, a small smile was set on her face.
"Anyone want to come check it out with me?" She asked, pointing up to the second floor. It felt a bit unusual to ask such a thing but, then again, maybe it wasn't. In such a large place, it would be a bit hard for her not to get lost somehow. Of course she would find her way back down eventually, though, having company was a plus no matter what. She was hoping to get a reaction out of Rose but it appeared she had already taken off somewhere.

Chrissy

"There's no cell reception..." Chrissy opened her slightly grinning mouth to reply, only to close it again when Rose suddenly began making her way outside. She simply blinked at the girl's backside for a long moment, wondering if she was going to be okay out there alone. Figuring it was still reception that 'the wild one' was looking for, she decided to leave her friend be for how.

In response to Scott's blunt food request, she shot the boy a simple, amused look then rolled her eyes a little - a harmless gesture. Typical of him. Feeling a little hungry herself, though, she glanced at the time on the grandiose-looking wall clock and realized that it would make sense for all of them to feel hungry at this hour. "We're probably having dinner soon, anyway," she said to somewhat assure Scott, her words directed at him as she moved away from the door to set her bag down next to the others.

While casually raking her fingers through her shoulder-length hair, Chrissy spotted Sophie by the stairs. "Anyone want to come check it out with me?" Curious as well, she approached her friend and more ultimately, the stairs, peering up them for a moment. She realized that she and her group of friends hadn't really discussed some important things beforehand, including roommates, dinner and dish duty, along with various other household chores. They'd have to figure all that out one at a time, then. After flashing Sophie a small grin of agreement, she turned to see who else would join them to check out the second floor.

Addy

Addy regained her composure and followed the others into the house. They weren't kidding about its grandeur, Joey's parents clearly invested some money into the place. It reminded Addy of her own family's vacation home, only much larger. Through Addy's family had both old and new money, they never really showed it. Her father always said that just because they had money didn't mean they had to spend it.

"Anyone want to come check it out with me?"

Addy grabbed Sophie's arm, saying,"Let's go look, I want to see the rooms!" She ran up the stairs to catch up to Chrissy, pulling Sophie along with her. "We still need to pick rooms, I call dibbs!"

They also still needed to pick roommates, but Addy didn't say anything. She hoped they wouldn't make people openly choose who they'd be rooming with. She always got dodgeball-syndrome in these situations and feared she wouldn't get chosen. (Or even worse yet, that they would make her choose and she would upset someone.)

Scott

Scott watched everyone judge him for being hungry. Still just shrugged the ordeal off and stood up cracking his back in a way so everyone would hear the bones cracking. His brows rose watching Addy run up. "Don't take the room with a balconey or a window, I Need It" he yeld grabbing his bag and patting Collin. "Collin, mind my smoke?" he asked climbing the stairs up.

It seamed quite a few were put off by his smoking, still he wouldn't stop.
"Long as I have a place where I can blow my smoke out I'll be fine."

TIME SKIP! It is now the next morning. Everyone slept in their chosen rooms with their roommate. Minor issues had occurred during the decision process but all is well... For now. Today, the group will be spending some time at the beach, possibly even hiking a bit. Then ensues a long night of drinking and dancing around a bonfire.

Sophie

Waking to the sound of birds chirping right outside her window, Sophie let he eyes remain closed as she temporarily enjoyed the soothing sound. After a few moments had passed by, she decided to, reluctantly, get out of bed. Sitting on the edge, she peered across the room to see if Rose had awaken. From here, it didn't appear to be so. Grabbing her phone off the bedside table, she went to check the time, immediately realizing that her phone had died. Remembering there was no cell service up here anyways, she simply slipped the device into the top drawer of the nightstand and proceeded to go about her day.

Turning off the bathroom faucet, Sophie gathered her toiletries and placed them in their original case. She had finished her typical morning routine, choosing not to apply any makeup and letting her hair fall in it's natural glory. Returning to the bedroom, she decided to put her bikini on underneath her tee shirt and shorts. She intended to go night swimming before but with all the ruckus the room decisions had caused she simply didn't have the chance. Luckily, there was still plenty of time to make up for that.

Making her way out of the bathroom, she headed downstairs as quietly as she could. It appeared to be early but, then again, it might not be. Fearing that she would wake someone up, she simply made her way softly into the kitchen to make some breakfast. She started some scrambled eggs, popping a few pieces of toast in as well. Not wanting to appear greedy, she chose to attempt to feed the whole house. Which, to her, felt rather motherly. Not that that was necessarily a problem... It just felt a bit odd. One day she was sure she would appreciate the real feeling much more.

Collin [sorry it's not that good, kinda on writersblock]

The only thing Collin knew that morning was that he was awake way earlier than usual. Even Lucas, who seemed like a morning person to him even though he wasn't sure about that, was still sleeping. He groaned quietly as he blocked the first morning sunbeams by closing one of his eyes. Today was hopefully going to be a day with less drama than yesterday. The decision process of the rooms didn't expire that well but at the end they all had a bed to sleep in. He tried to get back to sleep for one last time before he decided it wouldn't work anymore, and going downstairs might be a better idea. The male stumbled out of his bed quietly and made his way to the bathroom.

As usual he didn't take the time to do something with his hair, he just dumped a black snapback over it to cover the mess of hairs a bit and that's it. But when it comes to clothes he takes a little more time. For today it were just black shorts, black t-shirt and a demin fleece hoodie over it.
Right, maybe I can go for a run later as work out session for today he thought by himself while he brushed his teeth and just stared at himself in the mirror. He already finished a few push-ups and sit-ups to kill some time but it wasn't really working. But on the other side he had more time to do activities and such now.

Once Collin stumbled downstairs the smell of breakfast filled the entire room, he rubbed into his eyes as he entered the kitchen to look who this other early morning person was.
And the other mysterious morning person is.. Sophie his own thoughts made him chuckle lightly. "Morning, smells good there" he said softly as he sat down on one of the chairs, leaning with his arms and chin on the table. Collin stared outside the window for a few minutes before he realised that it was kinda rude to let her do everything, while they were on this trip all together. "Need any help?" He asked as he raised one of his eyebrows, stood up and walked over to the kitchen counter to have a better look of what she was making.

{No worries. It looks just fine to me. (:}

Sophie

As she worked on breakfast, she tried to focus on thinking strictly about the meal. However, her thoughts seemed stuck on everything but. Since they had arrived, all she wanted to do was adventure. There was so much enticing scenery around them it was hard for her not to want to check it out. After being paired with Rose, she became a bit worried about being able to do so. The girl had already seemed so distraught when she realized there was no cell service, Sophie couldn't imagine her roommate would want to wander about in the woods with her. Nonetheless, she was sure they would all make it out there at some point.

Hearing someone enter the kitchen, she glanced over her shoulder, smiling when she saw Collin.
"Morning, smells good there." "It does, doesn't it?" She responded, finishing up the first batch of eggs. Heading back to the fridge, she grabbed more and got started on a second batch. Originally, she planned to just make the one but honestly with the number of adults in the household, half of which are men, she figured the one just wouldn't be enough. As the toast popped up, she was startled slightly, laughing it off. "Need any help?" Looking over at Collin, she smiled again. "Actually, if you don't mind, could you butter the toast?"

Continuing to work on breakfast, she wondered how long it would be before anyone else woke up. She certainly didn't want everyone's breakfast to go cold. Then again, maybe she should have waited to start cooking. It seemed a bit early and she was frankly surprised Collin was up first as opposed to Chrissy. Although, it was hard to make judgments about someone you didn't get to spend too much time with. She had a feeling this trip would reveal quite a bit of new information about everyone.
"Do you think we'll need more toast? I would've cooked bacon, too, but, sadly, we don't have any," she said, looking over at Collin.

"Actually, if you don't mind, could you butter the toast?" Collin nodded slowly as he moved over to the fridge to grab some butter, then back to his place of the kitchen counter. For once again he rubbed into his eyes sleepily. Mornings weren't his thing at all even though he's used to waking up early for training. When he had to he wouldn't make it really late the night before but since that's what he did it was kind of his own fault. Alright that's maybe a little overdone because he couldn't know that he was going to wake up early either. Anyway at least he had something to do now even though it was just putting butter on toast. Something is better than nothing.

Collin looked back up from the toast over to Sophie as he heard her asking about the toast.
"Do you think we'll need more toast? I would've cooked bacon, too, but, sadly, we don't have any," His shoulders went up and down quickly as he checked to amount of toast. "We might need some later today.. so I would say yes. It's better to be safe than sorry right?" He replied with a light chuckle, looking back over at her again. It was definitely nice that she started with making it already. Plus if they wanted to bring some with them later today it wouldn't cost a lot of time either so that's solved already. In a second he was back to work so they wouldn't have to spend that much time to making breakfast.

"Oh and don't worry about the bacon, it's great that you started with breakfast for a bit already so. I mean i'm happy with it" He added quickly with a small smile on his face since he wasn't joking or something. Without shame he can admit that he wouldn't have done it if he was the first one to be awake. Maybe if he was in a really caring mood but that's kind of rare. He was a caring person, but then only for people who stood really close to him. Others can stand in your way or break you by stupid silly things. Maybe this is going a bit too deep but it's just how he sees and thinks about it.

Chrissy

Upon entering the house, Chrissy was met by the scent of food cooking. It was a bit surprising, since no one else had been up when she'd left the house this morning and though she'd gotten up just an hour or so ago, it was still pretty early. After freshening up, she'd scoped the kitchen to see what there was to eat for breakfast. Then, deciding that they could use a few more ingredients, she'd ventured outside to find that one small store she remembered spotting on the way here the day before. Obviously, it was no supermarket, but it turned out to be not too far off and she was able to find most of what she was looking for.

"'Morning." The greeting was simple but friendly and accompanied by her usual pleasant smile, spoken once her friends came into sight. It wasn't much of a shock to see Sophie making breakfast, but Chrissy had never thought Collin would be the type to be up already, eager to butter their toast. Perhaps it was just her prejudices at it again. With an additional nod of greeting toward the both of them, she entered the kitchen and began organizing the few things she'd bought, stocking them in the fridge.

After washing her hands in the sink, Chrissy brought a paper package to the stove area where Sophie was watching the eggs. Carefully, she set it down on the counter and undid the string that was holding it together. Alas, the red and white of the meat inside was revealed. "Thought this might come in handy," she explained in her usual quiet manner. The smell of bacon would be sure to wake the rest of the house up.

"We might need some later today.. so I would say yes. It's better to be safe than sorry right?" "Right," she responded lightly, making her way around him to grab some more bread. "'scuse me," she said softly, reaching around him to pop the slices into the toaster. Feeling a twinge of warmth hit her cheeks, she bit her lip and stepped away. "Oh and don't worry about the bacon, it's great that you started with breakfast for a bit already so. I mean I'm happy with it." Looking over at him, she simply smiled in response and moved completely back to her original position at the stove. "I can butter those when they finish so you can go ahead and eat," she commented, gesturing towards the toaster.

"Morning." Glancing over her shoulder, Sophie's face brightened up once again. "Morning," she responded, turning back to the eggs. So far, everyone seemed to be in a good mood; something she would always appreciate. Sometimes, it was difficult to please everyone in the group. Personalities differed so greatly that it was rare that they would all be so happy. Then again, she didn't want to get ahead of herself. Only the three of them were up and there were certainly many more to come. Turning off the burner, Sophie stirred the eggs a few more times before adding them to the plate with the rest, stirring them all gently to distribute some heat.

"Thought this might come in handy."
Her eyes landed on the package Chrissy had set beside her. Her lips curled into a smile, her eyes moving over to Chrissy. "You're such a doll. You know that?" She said, giggling a bit as she grabbed another frying pan. Turning the stove back on and adding a tad bit of oil, she began working with the bacon, washing her hands for the third time that morning. Taking a step away from the stove and leaning against the counter, her eyes switched briefly between Collin and Chrissy. "So what are your plans for the day?" She asked them, honestly curious to know. She, of course, was ready to swim, and she knew what they all planned to do later but until then was a bit of a mystery.

When Lucas woke up, he was surprised to see light streaming through the cracks in the blinds, and his roommate already gone. He was used to getting up early-perhaps it was the change of scenery which had enabled him to sleep in a little longer. As he lay for a few seconds, listening to the idle birdsong from outside, he found it was a welcome change from the sounds of the city. Sleeping a little bit longer was something he could see himself getting used to.

As he finished getting ready, the faint smell of bacon cooking began to reach his nose.
Seems like there are others up, too, he thought to himself, and stepped out of the bedroom. Even if he'd forgotten his way through the vast house, it would have been no challenge to find the kitchen, with the sounds and smells of cooking spreading from it. He poked his head around the door to see Sophie, Chrissy and Collin making breakfast. Luckily, there were not many people up; at least he wasn't going to be left with just the dregs of the meal.

Collin

When Sophie told him he could go ahead and eat already, he reached out for some plates for the whole group and just placed those somewhere on the kitchen counter before he went back to his own toast. After all it wasn't such a big deal to make breakfast- or well help with making breakfast for the others. Maybe this was going to be sort of a thing he might do a bit more often so once in a while. But then he had to be awake early otherwise it wouldn't really work right? Collin dropped himself on one of the chairs and slowly started to eat for a bit since it might could take ages before the others would wake up too. Or maybe not, but you'll never know.

Once he heard a
"Morning." from Chrissy he lightly smiled as he nodded, he couldn't talk since his mouth was full of bread so that's why he nodded instead. It seemed like she went out earlier before but he didn't want to ask way too much questions this morning. It was kinda obvious though, how did she get all this food that she was now stocking in the fridge anyway? Another smile showed up on his face as the thought that everyone seemed pretty happy today kicked in. Or well, everyone who was awake now. Then he went quietly back to eating his breakfast for this morning.

After a few minutes Collin had finished his breakfast so he stood up and washed his plate for a bit, before he placed it on the kitchen counter again. He would clean it all maybe if everyone was finished. Otherwise he would be washing one plate, sit for three seconds and then he had to stand up so he could wash another one again. When he was walking back over to his place he noticed Lucas' head poked around the door.
"Morning there Lucas, toast enough so." He said softly as he lifted his hand a bit up in the air. He was still suprised that Lucas was out of bed later than he was. What does it matter anyway Collin thought by himself as he noticed that he was thinking about the fact that he woke up early again.
