The Key To a Locked Heart

Val smiled, her feet swinging off the couch. "Alright, but unless you want me staying in something like this all night, you might want to let me borrow something." She said, her heels clicking. She is not was starting to act more like a thief, but in a way, she kind of wanted to go back to her inside personality, but not with another person.

Kevin Held out his hand and shrugged, "Fine by me, Ive got too many clothes anyway. Lets get going." Smiling He nodded towards the exit. "Tell me your favorite food, I'll try to make it once we get there."

Val smiled. "I really like spaghetti." She said, walking out the door. She smiled and walked down towards the stairs her feet clacking on the steps. Around the middle of the stairs, she stopped and grabbed her shoes, chucking them at Sebastian. She walked into her sneakers, smiling. "Better." She said, taking one set of keys, walking to the garage.

"Well, for someone with so much class, I expected something a little harder to make." He said as he followed her to the garage. HE saw the multiple cars that she had, "Hey, remember not something to flashy," his tone softened, "please."

Val smiled and walked towards a black motorcycle. "Well this is the least conspicuous." She said, putting her hair into a ponytail. She then put her helmet on, smiling at him and flipping up the visor. "Catch." She said, tossing him a black helmet. She smiled and got on, turning it on. "Hop on.' she said.

Kevin smiled and caught the helmet, Man, I am liking this girl more and more. He thought as he got on the bike. I should get one of these for myself. "hey do you know where we are going? Because I'm pretty sure I havent told you."

Val smiled. "Dear, I am a master spy. In the time it took you to get to my room, I had a full understanding of where you live and what you're name is and everything else." She said, driving off. "But if you want me to keep an innocent look, tell me where to go."

Raising his eyebrows, he told her anyways, not sure if she was bluffing. "I live in the house that borders the alleyway where you pulled that guy and made it so he could never date another woman again. I would love to find out how you learned everything about me, and of course what you actually learned, compared to what is the truth. But we can discuss that over dinner."

Val's mouth curved into a smile. "You make it sound as if you are going on a forced date." She said, turning the corner sharply. "Oh, I forgot to mention I grew up riding one of these." She yelled over the wind.

Kevin laughed as they neared his home, " What the part where you put that guy in a position where he wouldnt be able to love a normal girl or the part of you knowing stuff about me? By the way, you can park in the alley."

Val smiled, parking swiftly in the alleyway. She smiled and took off her helmet, her ponytail falling out easily. She turned and smiled at it. "Both." She said, stepping off the bike and waiting for him.

"wow, ouch." Kevin walked up the steps to the door, "well, you have to admit, A college student, who probably has never been with someone, then someone like you who, I might add, is astonishingly beautiful, pulls him into an ally and covers him in kisses, probably stealing the money out of his wallet, along with his credit and debit cards. The guy will go home in a daze, and never think of women who look average as potential dates, and will probably spend his life alone." Kevin Used his key to pen up the main deadbolt, then used his phone to wirelessy unlock a second bolt, finally, he pressed a button and a hidden eye scanner opened up the third bolt. "Of course, with the whole part of you knowing about me," Kevin opened the door and stood aside for Val to walk in, "I use it to make sure no one knows my hacker identity. I dont want to get arrested, by the way, I also have my tricks and know that your name is Valorie heart, and as a sign of good faith, I have deleted any trace of your name and face from any database that I could find." Kevin finished, Closing the door behind her. "may I take your coat milady?" he said in a half joking tone.

Val smiled. "Good job junior." she said, tossing her coat to him. "And it's Val. It rolls off the tongue easier. As for the boy, the charm does not affect true love. Once he finds his perfect match, he will know that I am nothing to compare. That is how love works." She said, walking towards his room. "Now I am going to raid you're closet, since a promise is a promise." She said. "Oh, and about the money part." She pulled out a wallet. "You have a good eye." She said, walking into his room. She walked out a bit later in a very large t-shirt and a pair of sweats. "You have such big clothing." She said, the sweatpants hanging around her ankles.

When Kevin saw her, he stifled a laugh. "What can I say, I'm six-four. Although I might have some clothes in my office closet that will fit you better, just some stuff from high school that I couldn't bring myself to get rid of. Oh, and please don't touch my computer." Kevin walked into the kitchen and got out the ingredients to start making his own special version of spaghetti.

Val chuckled, plopping down on his couch. "Wouldn't dream of it. With my knowledge on hacking, it might explode." She said. She smiled and leaned down, letting her outer shell drop as her smile faded. She slumped down, taking the remote to his tv and turning it on.

As the noodles boiled, Kevin set to making the sauce, while cooking some Italian sausage, he looked over towards his 'living room' "what's that supposed to mean, You're hacking skills are horrible, or they are just too good for my rig?" He watched her pick up the TV remote, "yeah the only thing you'll get on that is security camera feeds, the real entertainment is on my game system, it's got a wireless hard drive hooked up to it with the ability to find and download almost any movie you could think of, I'll spare you the details of how it does it." Kevin turned back to his cooking, finishing up the sauce and seasoning the noodles as they neared al-dante.

Val put on her smile again. "My hacking skills are that horrible." She said, turning on his game system and starting up a romantic comedy call "This Means War". She let her smile fade again as she watched, somewhere inside kind of wishing she could be like them.

Kevin drained the noodles and served up the pasta, with the perfect amount of fresh Parmesan on top. Bringing it to the couch, he raised the coffee table so it sat at the perfect height in front of them, "Dinner is served Madame" he said half-sarcastically, "an original spaghetti recipe made by yours truly with Italian imported Parmesan that I get from an old high school friend." Kevin cracked a half smile. "Don't tell anyone about it, it's quite illegal, but I hope you enjoy it," he said setting down the plate in front of her, "is there anything I can get you to drink?" Kevin noticed how sad she looked when she thought he wasn't looking, but didn't mention anything for her sake

Val smiled and sat up, pausing the movie. "Honey, I live with illegal. I was breaking the rules as a child." She said, taking a bite out of the pasta. "Wow." She mumbled, swallowing.

"Yeah, I know. I was trying to be funny." Kevin couldn't help but smile with Val's amazement at his cooking skill. "Oh good, I'm not the only one who thinks my coo kings good, to be honest this is the first time I've gotten to cook for a lady In my house. You should consider yourself lucky"

Val smiled. 'Most of the guy's would drop dead to be in the same room again. The only thing they want to do then though is something that requires a man and a woman and no lights." She said.

"Yeah, I've never thought much of people like that. My approach has always been different, of course I'm usually better at working with computers than with people." Kevin put his hands behind his head, stretching, "Then again, I have a lot more experience with computers than I do with people." Kevin noticed that the conversation was going somewhere that would get him depressed and thought of a way to change the subject soon enough.

Val smiled. "I could help you in that department though." She said, her voice like silk. She waited patiently for him to respond, leaning over the table to be closer to him.

(You do realize that you are actually sitting next to him?)

"Really? A tempting offer I must admit, but first I want to know what you know about me that I didn't tell you before, just so I can fill you in on what I need you to know." Kevin didn't object to Val moving closer to him, and put his hands up on the back of the couch.

(Oh, well crap)

Val smiled. "Well, You're Name is Kevin Shoal, you are 20 years old, live, well, here, calm, collected, in collage, and that's about all the real things I got to."
