The Inn at the Edge of the World (OOC)

Hmm... Maybe he turned when the moon came out, and then turned back to human. Or maybe he only turns on full-moons, and lives out in the forest so that he doesnt hurt anyone. Naked because turning tears his clothes and he can't replace them? None of the characters would jump to the same conclusion on seeing him, but its my theory anyway. Bet he really will be an average joe with a job for us just as a punishment for paranoia

Seriously, everyone should throw in their observation rolls at this point. We already have no information, we can't be less informed than we already are.

Pretty decent. We hung out with friends, ate mac'n'cheese, watched Poltergeist, and I drank for the first time in a considerable dry spell.

Would it be alright to roll for another investigation? I'd still like to know if he seems genuine or not.

Well, what are you investigating? If you're seeing if he's lying, that's be an Intuition and Empathy roll, which you can have. If you just wanna see if he's human or whatnot, nah, you've already had a roll for that.

Then that would be Empathy and Intuition.

Oh, also, he's speaking Kelenite, not Tradestongue. I probably should have clarified that, though the fact that you all understand him should have been a bit of a giveaway.

Actually, @Bardiel, you have 3 in Language, but for what Language? I'm assuming the native is Kelen.

We get one language at native fluency by default, correct? If so, that would be Kelene. The 3 bar language would be Tradestongue at a fluent level. I'll update the sheet.

There is a saying that goes something like: "You wait for a bus and then three come along at once." It is applied to various things in life, such as not being romantically involved for years and then three suitors come along within a short space of time, competing for your attention. Or films in the cinema.

In this case, multiple people have rolled, without success, and then you roll and nearly get three. Of course, this expression likely derived from a selective perception bias.

It was a bit of a double entendre: if said aloud, would refer to whatever fae magics or trickery could be at work, however internally Adelaide is remembering what they were like in the past and the effort they went to, in order to present themselves as she wants to be. She thinks of the latter not as deception, but as an "art form" of self expression, for lack of better terminology and neuropsychology at this time in the setting, though I am not suggesting pathology of any sort. If you are interested (or confused by my writing there), this Huffington Post article might help:

Its things like this that give Lyke headaches. To her, the man is a threat to her. There is no reason a being should still be alive in these woods, fae don't let people escape.

Right now, she's going with either A) kill the man and take his body B) kill the man and leave the body sans head

C) turn him away back into the woods or

D) kill the man and leave his body

He's gotta have a witch marking on him someplace. Let's cut him up until we find it.

Lyke has no time for double entendres, when there is shanking to be done! Although, in all seriousness, Adelaide doesn't trust the man either, it being a slim chance he isn't a threat in some fashion. She will likely abide by Osric's choice, be it a "mercy killing" or tying him and and throwing him into the back of the caravan until the leave Gatewood. At that point either let him loose or have him repay a debt of honour and become the Company's first recruit. She'll at least offer the latter as an option.

He might have a bounty on his head or have a missing person notice. Either way we can simply chalk it up we found him dead and took the head.
