"You have the right idea in accompanying someone else another for your first mission. I'm sure you're aware of certain ranking systems already. Here we don't disallow lower ranks to accompany higher level adventurers on their quests, though I would advise against being too ambitious out the gates."

She was certainly aware of it now. Perfect, one less thing to ask about later. That would mean that Tyron was lower than silver rank then? What rank was Kira? How high up does it go?... Never mind, that raised more questions than it answered. She really needed to sit down and properly research this stuff next time she had a chance. Relying on Alfyn wasn't an option anymore and she needed to learn how to do things herself anyhow. Her wandering thoughts were once again interrupted, though this time by a question.

"And why would an inheritor of the Voland family be in a place like this?"

Makes sense, the Guild would want to know why she wanted to join the guild in the first place, before accepting her.

"I felt as though I needed to experience life outside of Aestir on my own two feet. Joining a renowned guild such as Waystone, was the best way to accomplish that goal."

Kira failed to mention the fact that it was at her father's request. She certainly didn't want her father's doting nature to be known around the guild, as that wouldn't be good for her or the family name. Gods forbid he put something embarrassing on the application letter.

Up until this point, she was looking Tyron directly in the eyes when speaking, though now her eyes began wandering to the other two members of the guild. The scribes thorns seemed to be back to the natural length so that was.... probably a good sign. Tensions seemed to have fallen a bit at the least. Something seemed off though... The masked figure seemed to panic for a second before the scribe responded with an apologetic look. Strange.... I dont recall them saying anything.

"Very well. I think I'll pay this western front a visit on separate matters then. No point saving someone weak enough to get caught in the first place."

Kira's eyebrow seemed to twitch in anger at that statement. She glared daggers at Tyron before speaking.

"So wh-"

Though her words were cut short as her hand reflexively darted to her sword hilt.

"Good luck to you, missus Voland. If you could, try not to stick too much with the red brat. You may catch something worse than the plague."

The words rang in her head, but she knew not where they came from. Telepathy?

She quickly scanned the room searching for a threat of some kind, but everything seemed calm. Just a few patrons in the guild hall along with some staff members. The hole in the ceiling continued to blow in a cool breeze. The only thing different was the masked figure making his way out the door, quest letter in hand. She hesitantly removed her hand from the sword before turning back to the other two guild members.

"I'm sorry about that... I must still be tired from the journey. Might I still take you up on that lodging offer Miss... I'm sorry, but I still don't believe I've caught your name?

"Renowned?" Tyron scoffed, shooting the girl a sideward look. "What fairy tails have you been listening to? This place is filled with criminals and chaff." He nodded towards the retreating back of the older member, whose unnatural grip he could still feel, thin and bony through the deceptive cover of their gloves. Unyielding as steel. Though it was rare he let something that bothered him show, he subconsciously rubbed at the lingering, unpleasant sensation. They, who had never been more than a stain on the walls of an already marred establishment, was exactly what he saw as wrong.

"So wh-"

The Voland female went to say something before she cut herself off. Tyron's head cocked at the edge in her tone, glancing over to see her hand on the hilt of her sword. Her eyes darted around the guild, though there was nothing that he'd marked as alarming apart from the guild member's departure.

...Is her head all there? Her attention seemed all over the place, from tripping over stairs to jumping at proverbial field mice. He supposed she had come a long way if it was from Aestir. He could overlook someone being cautious in such a questionable place.

"I'm sorry about that... I must still be tired from the journey. Might I still take you up on that lodging offer Miss... I'm sorry, but I still don't believe I've caught your name-?"

Kira turned, assumedly to address the guild clerk from where she'd been standing, but her words feel on empty air. The infested woman had apparently snuck around them after the other guild member while they weren't looking. Tyron watched her speak under her breath to them about something, pressing her hands together as if making a request.

"The walking thorn bush is Azalea," Tyron said, answering the faltered question. "As you've probably guessed she's the guild clerk." Not a great look for the front face of the establishment, but Tyron wasn't about to go stating the obvious if they hadn't figured it out already. There was a reason Waystone fell on the outskirts of Lantana. Unlike the guilds that resided in the city walls, it was filled with vagabonds and outcasts. People no reasonable citizen would want living in the same street.

"Things must be different from Aestir," Tyron said. More as a query, though it would explain a great deal of her behaviour if it were true. "I've studied the geography. Can't say I've ever been there myself." There were limits on how far the waystone would reach, after all, which were tied directly to a certain, lackadaisical mapmaker who refused to live up to her potential. Floating around doing pointless things instead of working to expand the map. "I'll answer any questions you have. You'd be better off not associating with most of the members here if you value your family's reputation."

Location: Guild Hall
"I will take it. At least the dead will be put down with the respect they deserve, by the hands of those who understand."

Zion passed by her, heading towards the stairs, and in that moment Azalea wavered between two duties. Stay and helping the young noble woman who'd arrived--or deal with the other noble before he became (more of) an issue. The deciding factor was the realisation that Kira wasn't going anywhere. Zion most definitely was.

"Zion-" Azalea hissed, hurrying down the stairs after him. Several leaves were shaken loose in the process, spindling through the air towards the floor behind her. "Zion," she said again, finally catching up to the adventurer. He walked unreasonably fast for a dead man. Always somewhere to be, though it wasn't like his life was going anywhere without him. "Hold on-"

It was unreasonable to ask it of him, but so many of the others away she didn't have much choice. Azalea stopped in front of him, taking a moment to recompose herself.

"I know you don't want anything to do with the royal expatriate--I get it, I seriously do--but could you please consider taking him with you? If Tyron goes to the western front unsupervised he'll make everything worse. There won't be a peaceful end for the living or the dead." She didn't have jurisdiction over members in their free time. Most wouldn't go after higher ranking quests without being qualified for the reward, but Tyron wasn't interested in gold. He only needed enough of a name for himself for his mother to rescind her decision and he could return to his position in the family. The undead, in the eyes of the common populace, were nothing more than a menace. An easy target to those seeking fame. "If he's going on behalf of the guild I can at least strong-arm him into playing nice, but there will be no end of hell from the nobles if he gets himself killed."

The crown of branches around her head crumpled with her expression. They were already on such shaky grounds with the kingdom. Tyron was far too stubborn to consider using the waystone in a crisis, and that he wasn't on guild-sanctioned work would mean little to the aristocrats. It was a horrible burden on Zion no doubt, but surely the lesser of two evils.

The battlemage found himself stopped in his tracks, quite literally, once more by Azalea. Perhaps he would've gotten a tired of this little game by now if it was by another, but with just how much the human forest had done for him, his patience managed to stretch a bit further.

"I know you don't want anything to do with the royal expatriate--I get it, I seriously do--but could you please consider taking him with you? If Tyron goes to the western front unsupervised he'll make everything worse. There won't be a peaceful end for the living or the dead."

Zion was deathly still for a moment as he processed what she was insinuating. Even the breeze didn't seem to rattle his ratty hood and cloak.

"If he's going on behalf of the guild I can at least strong-arm him into playing nice, but there will be no end of hell from the nobles if he gets himself killed."

As if someone had resumed time on his person, his gestures became animated. His steel mask leaned against a gloved palm in a display of quiet exasperation, and a gloved finger tapped slowly on the weathered cuisses he wore.

"I...understand." The eventual response creeped into Azalea's mind, a feeling of reluctance washing over the good-natured receptionist.

"I owe you for your willingness to aid me with my...own affairs. And for accepting me for who I am. So I suppose I must--" He tilted his head backwards and the same strange whistling noise from earlier slithered past the crevices within his mask. Zion then straightened up as he steeled his mentality to the inevitable.
"babysit this spoiled creature for your sake." He finished as an attempt to raise her spirits when he noticed her crown of branches slightly wither from concern.

He turned slightly, just enough so he wasn't fully blocking the sight of Tyron and Kira, so Azalea could get them into her sights.
"I may not know the greater politics that is happening within Waystone like you, but I do get with wanting to keep up a reputation." And for some odd reason, an unopened door within his scattered memories unlocked. He could not pry it open yet, but he certainly could sense familiarity to the concept of protector even if it wasn't his own whim.

"I suppose I'll just take it from here then..." With that, Zion cut off his telepathic connection with her for the time being and moved to invade Tyron's.

Zion took half a minute to ponder what he should to say to the prince in red. Hopefully really get across the fact he's forced to be travelling with him and 'do not die while I'm trying to get my life together or so help me'.

"Hi." A dry greeting was rolled into Tyron's head.

The guild doors rattled violently as a certain member had, at last, made her return. The violently shaking doors of the guildhall clattered together time and time again as the hinges rattled in agony and the storm like sounds echoed loudly through the guild. Then in one swift motion, those very doors swung open in parallel with a resonating bang as they struck the inner walls. In from the outside then came Eiru, her face stoic yet aura a flame. The famous Runic Scriber had returned from her month-long quest and she was anything but happy and that was more than evident in how she carried herself, doors slamming behind her of their own volition.

Those who had yet to meet Eiru would assume this girl, whos magical aura could clearly be felt from across the room, could easily take down every person in the room with little effort but those who knew her were well aware she could not. But what they did know, Azalea especially, was that Eiru didn't need to physically strike down everyone present to make their lives a living misery. As Eiru approached the desk her magical aura became far more prevalent, the power she was emitting easily capable of sending shivers down the most experienced of mages spine. Without a single word or without so much as acknowledging those present Eiru moved to place a letter of acknowledgement upon Azalea's desk. The letter in question was sealed by two noble family insignias decorated beautifully and written carefully in the most delicate of cursives. It was clear to all that the quest was not one available to guild members from the board. But the question remained, why was Eiru so enraged?

Turning ever so slightly to capture Azalea in her peripherals, Eiru spoke quietly and directly, her voice laced with venom with an eerie smile plastered on her face that did little to hide her disgust with whatever was bothering her "Azalea, where is the guildmaster? I demand a word"

"The walking thorn bush is Azalea, as you've probably guessed she's the guild clerk."

Kira had figured as much. Seems she had her work cut out for her, between dealing with new recruits, posting quests, and god knows what else. She certainly had an... intimidating presence when need be. Though she decided not to comment on it, mostly out of fear that she might overhear.

"Things must be different from Aestir, I've studied the geography. Can't say I've ever been there myself."

She pondered for a moment before responding,

"It's certainly a bit different, though how I can't say how much so, as I've only been in Lantana for a few hours or so. Though being honest, the people there can be a bit.... close minded to say the least,"

She hadn't thought about it in a while but, Aestir was pretty isolated from the rest of the world, so it made sense... To a certain degree anyways.

"So this is a breath of fresh air I suppose."

"I'll answer any questions you have. You'd be better off not associating with most of the members here if you value your family's reputation."

She gritted her teeth a bit at the insinuation that the people here were no good, but considering shed only met two people so far, and she needed her questions answered anyways, she held her tongue. She could always talk with Azalea about it later too if need be.

"Thank you Sir Avatticus, I'll take you up on that offer. And in return if you have any questions about Aestir, I'll gladly answer them. Perhaps over some lunch?" She gave a polite bow as she said that.

With all the excitement and nervousness of the morning passed, Kira had realized she forgot to eat breakfast. Alfyn always said it was the most important meal of the day. Though that time has long passed by now. But it seemed the excitement was still continuing on as the doors to the guild hall violently swung open. The loud bang subsequently ringing throughout the main chambers, Kira quickly looked over to see what was happening, as the white haired mage strode through with anger and disgust strewn across her face, rivaling Azalea's icy cold tone from before. Though she couldn't hear what was being spoken, she was already sure this wouldn't turn out well.

I really hope this isn't part of the initiation too...

It made sense. Aestir was a much smaller country compared to the region Lantana occupied. Their relatively small population meant they developed fighters of great calibre to survive, especially in an environment as unyielding as the frozen north. The Voland style was only one such example. The version taught at the academy was no doubt a pale imitation of its true potential, and Tyron made no attempt to hide his pleasure at finding someone who could demonstrate the proper form.

"I see no fault in being cautious," Tyron said. "When you are a country surrounded by larger threats it is necessity to defend oneself above all others." There was a movement among the populace demanding non-humans be allowed to settle within Lantana. As if it weren't already bad enough with half-bloods and shapeshifters, opening the walls to anyone would all but invite foreign armies to come strolling on through.

"Thank you Sir Avatticus, I'll take you up on that offer. And in return if you have any questions about Aestir, I'll gladly answer them. Perhaps over some lunch?"

His foot tapped against the wooden floorboards, caught between wanting to leave the guild with utmost haste, and the obligation to do so in an appropriate manner. "I'll show you some better places to eat, if you're serious about that offer. I don't touch the food here." At the very least, he wouldn't tarnish Lantana's reputation by having them consume whatever carrion the guild served up. He may have spoken further, but a sudden and unexpected voice spoke dryly inside his head and he stiffened.

"Hi."

Tyron's hand dropped to his sword and he readied a stance against whoever might be behind him. Anyone who thought they could approach him so brazenly would soon realise their mistake when--

He paused, a deep frown cast over his expression. There was no one there. Not above him, nor in any direction he looked that have been close enough to speak so clearly. The sensation of being watched still prickled at the back of his neck, and his attention finally locked on the two members that stared up at him from the ground floor.

...It can't be.

"Excuse me a moment," he said. He took his hand off his weapon and swiftly stepped past Kira, who he noted as having a similar reaction earlier and if that were the case... He swept down the stairs, approaching the two older members with obvious displeasure. The iron-masked figure in particular he fixed with a sharp glare.

"You-" He addressed Zion. "Speak, at once." He had yet to hear him talk. That alone was worthy of suspicion.

"I... understand."

The reluctance was obvious in his words. She didn't need to cast her mind out far to relate. The sinking disappointment whenever the doors were thrown open to reveal Tyron's presence. The sneer whenever he first caught sight of her. Azalea wouldn't stay within five feet of him if the job didn't require it, not in the least because there was no way he'd stay within five feet of her.

"I owe you for your willingness to aid me with my...own affairs. And for accepting me for who I am. So I suppose I must--babysit this spoiled creature for your sake."

Azalea tried to look apologetic at the whistling sigh he made, but the corners of her mouth betrayed her at his pointed words towards the boy. Zion's gloved hand fell from where he pressed it against the iron ridges of his mask.

"I may not know the greater politics that is happening within Waystone like you, but I do get with wanting to keep up a reputation."

"Thank you," she said, truly meaning it. It would... not be good, to have one of the heirs of the house of guards pass under the guild's protection.

She remained silent as Zion appeared to be in thought, the tattered remains of his cloak deathly still. Whether it was trying to dispel his frustration or brace for yet another encounter with the prince in red, she couldn't tell. Both seemed appropriate.

Eventually he straightened, stepping aside and he turning his head towards the young noble. Tyron's reaction was comically obvious, and not unlike that of the Voland. His hand dropped to his weapon as he stepped aside to face an imaginary foe, only for confusion and annoyance to curve his expression in equal measure. His gaze fell upon them, staring up at him from the lower level, and it quickly turned to distaste.

And I'd just gotten away from him too. Azalea braced herself for another confrontation as Tyron stomped down the stairs, crossing the hall to where Zion and her stood. She breathed a sigh of relief when his words were directed up at the faceless mask. Though she regretted saddling Zion with Tyron's unpleasantness, she was happy to remain in the background of the conversation--

Not, of course, that she would get to relax for long.

Azalea's branches recoiled in alarm when the walls of the guild began to tremor. A howling moan seemed to permeate from deep within the earth, and the pieces clicked together in Azalea's head right before the doors of the guild--and every other entrance--were thrown open with deafening bang. Can you all stop treating this place like it costs nothing to repair?!

Eiru's mood was obvious, so either the nobility had been up to their usual annoyances, or something hadn't gone the temperamental witch's way. Azalea watched with tired eyes as they stalked silently over to the counter and placed a letter upon it. Judging by the crests of two royal insignias, Azalea was going with the former.

"Azalea, where is the guildmaster? I demand a word."

"The guildmaster is out," she replied, resigning herself to deal with yet another one of the guild's problematics. "And, unfortunately, she doesn't listen to demands--else my life would be significantly easier. What is it you want to speak to her about?" Pri would no doubt saddle Azalea with the issue anyway, so she may as well hear it from Eiru first.

Thunder? In this weather? The thought crossed his mentalspace idly as the sound had reverberated across the guild, even reaching up to the second floor. His attention followed probably the rest of the others at the unnecessarily dramatic entrance of yet another guildmember. Zion mused about how he and Kira had entered Waystone in such a mundane manner, while in turn two others had tried to make a scene. Well to each their own he supposed -- but atleast he somewhat respected this one.

He may not personally know the magician but he has, as per usual, heard of her triumphs through word of mouth. Most importantly her sorcerery: a type of enchanting magic lost to time. His forté was not of that school of magic and by far held a lesser understanding than to her. But he hardly had seen her despite being in this guild for almost less than a year, so this was the first time he properly got to see her moving about in Waystone.

The battlemage watched in mild curiousity and amusement as loitering adventurers and enquirers hastily made way for the white-haired mage; but he quickly turned his head away when she started to approach them. Or really, Azalea. Poor woman. He would've offered some form of condolences at her inability to catch a break lately, especially since she had originally wanted to head to the gardens as soon as their conversation was over.

Unfortunately he had to leave the receptionist to her work as he had decided to shoulder the task she had handed onto him.

And said task had just stalked up to the masked undead. To his dismay though inevitabilty.
You- Speak, at once."

Zion's arm moved in a blur and he grabbed the crimson lord, before dragging him towards the exit of Waystone. He managed to bob his head in acknowledgement as he passed by Eiru. Perhaps his lack of fleshy muscle granted him such strength; the curse binding his soul to this skeletal cage enhancing his soul's energy. Or was had he been as strong, back when he was alive? Even then, Tyron still was a struggle to manhandle. Eventually he had to stop, atleast a few steps out the door of Waystone, as Tyron almost pulled off his arm right out of its socket. Yet his grip remained on the wrist of the spoiled princeling despite all the writhing and wriggling.

"Yes. I am talking to you now," the words echoed almost tiredly into Tyron's head, but it was firm. "Is that all? I suppose I should apologise to missus Voland for interrupting her chat with you, but I like to think I spared her." But then you are another curse upon me. If I had no obligation towards this, I would have gladly let you meet your own demise from your own stupidity.

He then waved the quest poster that was still clutched within his gloved hands in hopes he'll get the hint -- and to see if he was as somewhat clever as the posh vocabulary he seems to use so much.

When Azalea informed Eiru that the guild master was 'out' a sigh escaped the witch's mouth, her aura fading shortly thereafter. Raising a hand to the side of her head Eiru closed her eyes and spent a few seconds contemplating her options. Considering the guild master was 'out' Eiru would do little more than waste her time by getting mad. Even if the guild master was in there was very little chance Eiru's words would stop the guild master from issuing her such missions in the future. Actually, there was no chance considering this very scene was now somewhat commonplace and her 'stern words' of disapproval always landed upon the guild master's deaf ears. Still, it was very much an annoyance and a complete waste of good time to partake in such trivial missions.

Returning her hand to her side Eiru moved to stretch and correct her posture before retrieving a leather pouch from her bag and bowing back politely to the passing undead mage. The pouch was no larger than one's hand and looked empty but Eiru placed it upon the desk none the less. Bowing slightly as she did so "Azalea, I apologise for my outburst. I'm just very much annoyed by the guild master's tendency to force such quests on me without asking beforehand. Just because I'm asked for specifically doesn't mean she has the right to agree to such requests on my behalf! Honestly!" Coughing softly into a balled fist Eiru made sure to calm herself before continuing "None the less the Arcane research quest issued between The Kingdom of Hammermouth and The Merchant Republic of Chamaedour has been resolved to the satisfaction of both parties. The payment for my services was decided upon by both parties independently, each offered forward eight thousand coins for a total of sixteen thousand coins. I'll be donating the amount to the Guilds coffers, all the coins should be accounted for in that pouch of holding. You can find my report within the pouch as well. All paperwork has been completed and with that, I close out this mission."

Tilting her head ever so slightly to capture the rookie in her sight Eiru continued with a soft smile "I see we've got a new adventurer, has she been field-tested? No, she still has that newborn rookie look in her eyes." Turning to face the newbie Eiru moved a hand to her chin as she inspected the girls build, stance and spirit. "A noble, as if one wasn't enough to have around. Strong stance although clearly tired, sharp eyes and expression... Sword by her waist... Blonde... Cold... A Valand! Oh my my my..." Turning back to Azalea, Eiru gave the mage a grin " Pass me her and Tyron's assessment papers, I'll conduct the field assessment, Zion just accepted a silver ranked quest correct? I'll take supervisory point on the quest. Assess and reassess both the newbie and our little prince while ensuring Zion has room to breathe... well you know what I mean."

With a sharp whistle from Eiru, a broom shot past both Zion and Tyron, bristles tickling Tyron's nose. The broom shot through the guild doors and rocketed up the stairs and into Eiru's open hand. Then with a soft smile, Eiru turned to the newbie and offered her free hand to shake "Miss Voland, my name is Eiru and I'm the guilds resident enchantress, I do hope we can get along. Might I ask what your full name is?"

The quiet tapping of the planks beneath Tyron signaled he was getting impatient, which Kira picked up on quickly. No point in keeping the initiation waiting.
"I'll show you some better places to eat, if you're serious about that offer. I don't touch the food here."

Once again with the snide remarks, perhaps she should just try to ignore them. He must be trying to rile her up, there's no way it's as bad as he was making out to be right? Even Alfyn had called this place renowned, though she had never bothered asking how it gained his respect. Just as she began speaking, the sudden stance change from Tyron immediately alerted Kira that there was some sort of threat. She also dropped into a readied stance, sword still in the sheath. Glancing around, Tyron's eyes locked onto Azalea and the masked figure.

"Excuse me a moment,"

The sound of shoes against plank once again filled her ears as Tyron stepped past her and down the stairs. Kira lifted her hand from her sword and began to readjust her weight to follow behind, though the her foot seemed to snag on something as she moved it across the floor, causing herself to trip once again.

Really? How many times does this have to happen today...

She picked herself back up not so gracefully off of the floor, as a streak off white zoomed into her vision. It was the angry mage from before, though looking a lot more civil this time, kind even.

"Miss Voland, my name is Eiru and I'm the guilds resident enchantress, I do hope we can get along. Might I ask what your full name is?"

"Uhhhh, I uh, Ahem,"

One hand holding the previously flying broom and the other outstretched into an offering handshake. Kira quickly dusted herself off before accepting the handshake and speaking out,

"My name is Kira, Kira Voland. Pleasure to meet you.... Um, have we met before? I don't recall my last name ever being said whilst you were here. How did you know who I am?"

The cloaked figure moved in a blur, difficult to discern the movements of through the obscuring layers of tattered rag, though Tyron swore he saw something white and thin below the shadows of it all. They grabbed the arm Tyron brought up to guard with on instinct, proceeding to drag him across the hall towards the doors--

Blasted mongrel!

As he wrenched at his arm the other fell to the hilt of his weapon, but the death-like grip was as unshakeable as before. There was a soft click as he undid the sword's holster. They could be enemies of the guard for all he knew behind that mask. Plenty criminals had a bone to pick with the Avatticus family and surely the guild wouldn't miss one rabid mutt. The drawn out scrape of his sword paused as that same voice echoed in his head.

"Yes. I am talking to you now. Is that all? I suppose I should apologise to missus Voland for interrupting her chat with you, but I like to think I spared her."

"What kind of vile magic is that?" Tyron spat. Swinging his weapon he struck at their arm and pulled away, retaining his stance as he glared up at the impassive, metal mask. "Speak normally, and state your purpose before I cut it out of you."

The figure didn't respond, though some sort of long whistling sound seemed to emanate from behind the grooves of the mask. Instead they held up the familiar quest, crumpled as it was from the abuse it had endured.

Tyron sneered to see it, fixing his red-eyed glare on the mask beneath their hood. "What makes you think I have any intention of aiding you on a quest? I'd get more done taking down those abominations by myself."

A tired sigh escaped through cracked lips. "If the guildmaster could be petitioned to do anything I would have her stop accepting random quests in general." The quest board was filled with the most insignificant of things. Alas, Pri flew on her own wind.

Azalea watched Kira with a mixture of amusement and pity at Eiru's obvious interest. There was no end of trouble the short witch managed to get herself into, and by extension everyone around.

"Pass me her and Tyron's papers, I'll conduct the field assessment, Zion just accepted a silver ranked quest correct? I'll take supervisory point on the quest. Assess and reassess both the newbie and our little prince while ensuring Zion has room to breathe... well you know what I mean."

If she didn't, one look at the little tiff Zion and Tyron were having by the guild doors made it obvious. A seemingly one-sided encounter, given Zion barely moved but to gesture at times, and Tyron grew ever more aggravated. Azalea wordlessly handed over a set of blank field reports to Eiru, leaning in to remark. "If the prince starts getting out of line tell him he's one bad report away from being demoted." It would remove at least some of Zion's burden, and perhaps give Tyron an indication of his actual standing in the guild.

A sharp whistle had a broom shoot out of seemingly nowhere, straight past Azalea and she closed her eyes in silent restraint. She'd told the witch a number of times not to summon her enchanted item inside the guild. They were notoriously hard to control, though she hardly had a chance to say anything anyway as Eiru zipped off to talk to the new recruit. Having the broom had certainly reduced the number of 'incidents' Azalea needed to send out rescues for. Much harder for the witch's gelatinous fan club to mob her in the air.

The blade had cleanly cut through the some of the cloth that had blown over the spot that was struck. As it fell away to join its tattered brethen, the steel had bitten deep into a weathered yet sturdy vambrace. Zion looked at it, before he grabbed hold of it and dislodged it carefully. As he did so, the prince in red had gotten himself free from his grip. Not that he minded really, the battlemage was somewhat impressed at Tyron's display of strength. But far from intimdated.

However, the moment of positive appraisal faded quickly as the reality set in that the Avattica noble had really aimed to chop off his arm. Was that even legal to do against a fellow guildmember? He supposed not, if the other didn't think of sZion as a guildmember in the first place.

"What kind of vile magic is that? Speak normally, and state your purpose before I cut it out of you."

Zion lifted an arm instinctively to whack away the blade tip aimed in his general direction, but it paused in midflight as he thought better of it, and the arm dropped back down to his side. If it made Tyron feel safer then so be it; a cornered animal would act impetous if not treated with caution and care. Before he could form a response in earnest, the noble discerned the quest from earlier.

What makes you think I have any intention of aiding you on a quest? I'd get more done taking down those abominations by myself."

If the battlemage had lungs it would be inhaling deeply to soothe his writhing irritation. Think of the crimson lord as a cornered animal, one wrong move and this entire ordeal would be much harder on him. One wrong move and this princeling could cost him the price of knowing something valuable to who he was...before becoming the abomination the whole region seemed to despise.

"It's just telepathy, Lord...Avattica." It was easy to fake a nicer tone with one's tongue, but if it was coming straight from your own mind -- your soul -- it's difficult. However Zion had managed to stash his disdain for Tyron at a later date, preferably after this mission. "During a scuffle in the past, a blow had damaged my vocal chords beyond repair, so it's quite impossible to to speak normally." He paused, gloved fingers curling into themselves. "Forgive me for not, er, giving you warning for it."

The battlemage then pocketed the crumpled quest into one of the small sidebags he wore around his waist, yet he still knew where it would be if he had to bring it back for show.

"I have heard from your...discussion with missus Gibraltar that you're aiming to rise up the ranks. Or to make a good name for yourself, I suppose. Either way, if you're heading to this site of the undead, you might as well take up on the quest's rewards as well." Zion looked down for a moment, his mask facing the prince in red's skeptical features but his sight elsewhere on the wooden floorboards. "It is a search and rescue mission, the faster you find the scout the better your reputation as "saviour" would be."

"It's best to leave the undead be if they can be avoided." This sentence was hinted as more of a warning then general advice, cold dendrils lightly tapping against the mentalspace of the Avattica noble.

"It's just telepathy, Lord...Avattica."

I can tell that much, you impetous swine. There were countless forms of mind magic, most of a highly unpleasant nature. Though it was to be expected from a branch of abilities that involved accessing consciousness directly.

"During a scuffle in the past, a blow had damaged my vocal chords beyond repair, so it's quite impossible to to speak normally." Tyron glanced down as their gloved fingers curled at their sides. "Forgive me for not, er, giving you warning for it."

That was...plausible. If not reasonable. Magic for such a purpose wasn't unfounded, though it remained of concern where he learned it from in the first place. The Lantana academy certainly didn't have such classes. The inherent risks were too high and the potential for malicious use too dangerous. Nonetheless, Tyron's glare dropped back to his usual look of distaste.

"You are aware that mind users must be registered with- no, nevermind." The fault didn't lie with him if they hadn't received any notice. Tyron's glare swung across to Azalea, who was in the midst of talking to some other woman he didn't know. It would be a matter he brought up later. The guard were responsible for keeping surveillance on potential threats, and it became increasingly obvious just how many were present in the guild—conveniently located just outside their jurisdiction.

"I have heard from your...discussion with missus Gibraltar that you're aiming to rise up the ranks. Or to make a good name for yourself, I suppose. Either way, if you're heading to this site of the undead, you might as well take up on the quest's rewards as well. It is a search and rescue mission, the faster you find the scout the better your reputation as "saviour" would be."

"I don't desire to be seen as a saviour," Tyron said, the word nothing but distasteful. Heroes were for peasants and their problems that needed someone else to come fix them. Saving others was easy when it made you feel good. Ruling was about making the decisions no one else would. "But you make a point."

"It's best to leave the undead be if they can be avoided."

Tyron bristled, more so at the undercurrent of hostility than any issue with the words. He had studied techniques such as telepathy briefly in his education on magical combat. His instructors warnings held a great deal more weight as he felt the incidious grasp of something unpleasant at the back of his head. I will have to speak with one of the generals, it seems.

"Very well,"
Tyron said. Reserving his own concerns for later he straightened out the ruffled creases in his sleeve. "I suppose you are appropriate rank to accept the mission, thus have at least a modecum of experience on the field. So long as I your decisions are sound I will cooperate." He didn't like handing over orders to unknowns, especially those not in the guard, but a chain of command would need to be present in some form for a mission. It seemed appropriate that rank should determine such, as was similar to within the guard.

Zion may have said the right choice of words when he noticed Tyron's intense expression simmer down to a somewhat neutral one. It was a judgemental look that pompous aristocrats seem to have as a resting face.

"You are aware that mind users must be registered with- no, nevermind."
The battlemage tilted his head at the noble's cut off sentence, even more so befuddled when he eyed daggers back at the receptionist. Mind users? He didn't think of himself as one. He also did not understand why this one had such a grudge against the closest physical incarnation of mother nature. Sure, it was mutual with the two, but atleast Azalea did not want him to die in some ditch somewhere -- or perhaps she would, if it didn't cost the guild somehow.

How complicated.

"I don't desire to be seen as a saviour, But you make a point."

A strange movement with Zion's shoulders occurred -- a half-hearted shrug. He couldn't had cared less at that time, he just wanted to say something that sounded enticing to egotistical go-getters such as Tyron himself. Though now it seemed clear to Zion that the crimson lord was the type to do anything he deemed necessary to complete a goal he wanted. Something he may relate to; but the undead man drew the line at the cost of other's lives. He had a metaphorical heart with standard morals atleast.

Zion watched the younger man sheathe his weapon before fussing with the cuff of his fine sleeves that were lined with gold leaf.
"Very well, I suppose you are appropriate rank to accept the mission, thus have at least a modecum of experience on the field. So long as I your decisions are sound I will cooperate."

The battlemage simply nodded, satisfied to a degree that Tyron wouldn't be fighting tooth and nail against him during this journey -- this mission. His first mission with another. He would cross that precarious bridge of thought when the time comes.

"I'll only communicate when I have to. If that puts you more at ease." Zion offered, yet the echo sounded more like a statement he'll go through with whether the aristocrat wanted it or not. Keep him alive, that's all that he promised Azalea.

Zion turned on his heel and began to walk away from Waystone to the direction of the region the request for help was said to be. He didn't bother to look back if the princeling followed in pursuit.

Bemused by Kira's stumble Eiru made sure to mentally note her stance was not a solid as the young witch previously had assessed. Doing her best not to chuckle at the scene Eiru shook the young girls hand firmly before pulling her in close enough for her broom to sneak around behind. "Have we met before? What an interesting question! I don't know!" Chuckling softly to herself Eiru pushed against the girl ever so slightly, breaking the handshake as she did so. With the broom at thigh level, Kira was forced back into a sitting position right atop the centre of Eiru's broom. Before Kira could react Eiru too hopped onto her broom, scooting Kira back towards the bristles of the broom. The entire set of circumstances seemed to happen in the blink of an eye but for the receptionist, this sort of scene was something she was more than used to. And just before Eiru furthered her actions a set of words echoed in her head from many a time before. 'There's a time and a place for everything but not now!'.

"meh, Hold on tight if you don't want to fall and die!" And with that Eiru's broom shot off towards the guild doors where both Zion and Tyron had already begun to depart. Blasting past Tyron the white-haired witch and her carpool briefly brushed up against Zion before coming to a stop a few feet in front of the man. On closer inspection, Zion would notice his quest had once again been yoinked and was now being inspected by Eiru "hmm, Undead...rescue....guards... oh! Tyron's family messed up and now we need to clean up their mess! Yes yes yes I see! A perfect quest to assess your skills Kira!"
Hopping down from her broom Eiru rolled back up the quest and politely handed it back to Zion with a polite smile "Zion, seeing as you don't normally operate with a team I'll be observing from the sidelines! Imagine I'm not even here! I'm just here to evaluate Kira's skills and reevaluate the prince here to see if he's ready for his big demotion!". Looking to Tyron briefly Eiru offered him a cheeky wave before returning to her broom "Of course this is your quest so you'll still be taking the lead unless you rather me not accompany you... pssshhhhh yeh right. Anyway there's a guard whos already probably dead that we need to rescue so let's get to it gang!" At no point did Eiru move to check if Kira was okay.

She says placing an invisible hand on Ymir's shoulder. "I am not one to force the hands of men, go and choose in the manner you see fit." Seraphina declares before receding.

Titus looked at Ymir somewhat dishearted and disappointed, but said nothing as he silently led her to the grand hall where they would eat dinner. He didn't say much to her as he led her through the grand structure which housed many races and people, several dragons included. He took her towards the front of the hall where Lucian sat with Ariana at an otherwise empty table. "Well little Titus finally brought home a friend, ohh what's this perhaps a crush?" Ariana inquired with a teasing grin on her face.

A familiar pair of footsteps approached the front doors of the guild, the plates of the brigandine clacking at every step. The beautiful city... she thought to herself. she was in no hurry, enjoying her walk to the front door. She opened it quietly, turning around and closing it. Reaching for the leather straps on the side, she quietly took off her armor, leaving her gambeson on as she sat down at a table, quietly. She lets out a sigh, scanning her surroundings. She seemingly was on edge, but she was just a quiet observer. This was her home, after all, ever since she got kicked out of her home village.

Her thoughts drifted to home. She missed the rolling green hills, the hunting. Her face formed a frown before shaking her head. Let's not think about it.

She was never one for talking, as she kept people an arms length away, not really revealing much about her. Her eyes drifted to the job board, reading silently.

"Have we met before? What an interesting question! I don't know!"

The mage had a surprisingly firm handshake that managed to pull Kira closer. As she looked over the white haired girl, she had a familiar feeling in the back of her mind, but couldn't seem to completely remember it. Though just as quickly as she was pulled in, the handshake broke into a light tap on Kira's torso, causing her to stumble backwards before being caught by the broom that had been carrying the mage beforehand. Kira was usually pretty confident in her perception, though was too distracted by her own thoughts to notice the broom sneak around behind her.

"A-Ah! What are you-" She squealed out, though before she could finish, the mage had already hopped on the front of the broom.

"Hold on tight if you don't want to fall and die!"

Kira had wanted to add something but before she could even open her mouth, they were already speeding towards the doors to the guild hall. Surprisingly, never having been on a flying broom before, Kira didn't have any clue what she was supposed to "hold on" to, and had somehow barely managed to grab a handful of bristles before almost get slung off down the stairs. Though holding on for dear life on the back of a flying broom probably wasn't much better than the alternative, she still held on nonetheless.

But whatever hold she did manage to have slipped out of her hands as the broom came to an sudden stop, sending her flying directly over the "red prince" as a result. It was almost comical how Kira flew through the air, she might have even laughed if it wasn't her... but alas, there she was, about as graceful as a fish on dry land as she crash landed into a nearby azalea bush.

"I'll only communicate when I have to. If that puts you more at ease."

Great. That made two. Tyron had no interest in baseless chatter, and the less the cloaked man's hollow voice was in his head the better. They didn't seem accustomed to working in groups it seemed. Perhaps used to providing only for themselves, or uncaring of the usual preparations as they started towards the door.

Tyron clicked his tongue in annoyance as he turned to follow. Definitely a fugitive.

No matter, he could have them detained for questioning once his position was reinstated. Find out what that boorish mask was hiding in the process. He noticed the guild doors swing open as someone else stepped through, dressed sensibly in a brigandine and leather, though the shock of blue hair that trailed after them seemed less practical. She was a higher rank he'd noticed around several times, always carrying herself with the assuredness he saw in the guard. All the more a pity that she had chosen to waste her potential on the guild.

He stepped past her without a word as he focused on gaining ground on his temporary associate. Their strides had carried them a courteous distance from the guild doors where they could use the waystone without causing a disturbance inside.

Tyron had just about caught up when he heard the doors to the guild slam open and something blew past in a flurry of white hair and shrill protests. He stopped in his tracks, red cloak pulled forward by the sudden tailwind before settling, but as he processed the disturbance, the... broom, he finally realised, with its two riders, swung around and they pulled to a stop. Or, at least, one of them did. He hadn't expected the Voland girl to keep going.

Tyron didn't so much think as react, stepping back on instinct. It didn't seem like she could go more than a few feet, but apparently there had been a great deal more force in the back end of the broom than he anticipated. Instead of sailing overhead, or falling in front, he was left straight in the path of impact.

Shit-! He grunted as they crashed into the bush. He felt several branches snap under the weight, left sticking into his back while she had the twigs and leaves on top of him. He was sure the witch had planned it. Her cackling laugh reached them through the sounds of undergrowth as he was left staring up at a windswept sky. Tyron closed his eyes. The swordswoman's weight didn't help the thorns driving into his back.

"Get off." He spoke through grit teeth. While his clothes weren't so cheap they'd be ruined by flower bushes, there would no doubt be damage and he had no intentions of worsening it with needless flailing.

How the swordswoman had taken the landing, he didn't know. He didn't particularly care.

The first half of the witch's conversation was lost on them as they extracted themselves from the ruined azalea bush. Tyron paused as he realised, examining the snapped branches and scattered leaves as he readjusted his clothes. The exact species name came to him in a snort in derision. Serves her right.

"Zion, seeing as you don't normally operate with a team I'll be observing from the sidelines! Imagine I'm not even here! I'm just here to evaluate Kira's skills and re-evaluate the prince here to see if he's ready for his big demotion!"

So that's how it was. Tyron's usual look of disregard met Eiru's cheerful wave.

"Of course this is your quest so you'll still be taking the lead unless you rather me not accompany you... pssshhhhh yeh right. Anyway there's a guard who's already probably dead that we need to rescue so let's get to it gang!"

The woman cheered, and Tyron fixed her with a particularly poisonous glare as he pulled the last of the leaves from his collar. "I don't recall your presence being requested on this mission."

He'd assumed things would have calmed down a tad once they had stepped foot outside the guild.

It was deep into the afternoon already yet the cloudless blue sky remained vibrant. In turn the sunlight that bore down onto unsheltered skin was a bit too intense. Although he couldn't feel the heat, he might had pegged this as fairly good weather for travel.

?!

Zion sensed a pattern on being forcibly stopped by person(s) today, particularly if they were blocking his path. Although Azalea had been far from from trying his patience earlier, this second occurence (and a build-up of other nuisances) had him one foot off the cliff of storming off. The battlemage seemed to slouch slightly, his posture no longer rod straight and firm when he had been "negotiating" with the prince in red.

"hmm, Undead...rescue....guards... oh! Tyron's family messed up and now we need to clean up their mess! Yes yes yes I see! A perfect quest to assess your skills Kira!"
At first he wasn't exactly sure what the Rune Scriber was speaking of, as he was still in the process of realising that she was suddenly in front of him and hopping off her broom. Including from glancing past her, the sight of the two nobles almost folded in on themselves inside a thorn bush. A strange clicking noise emanated from Zion, though it was so soft that one could have mistaken it for a cricket's song -- a stifled chuckle of an undead.

His amusement was cut short -- as per usual -- when the quest letter had once again been taken from his possession. Even when it was inside a satchel. He would've been startled as to how she knew where to grab it from, had he not been washed over with the feeling of reluctant acceptance.

However the letter was then gently handed back to him, and he found himself putting it back to where it originally was on his person. Huh. Well atleast she was considerate enough to give it back.

"Zion, seeing as you don't normally operate with a team I'll be observing from the sidelines! Imagine I'm not even here! I'm just here to evaluate Kira's skills and reevaluate the prince here to see if he's ready for his big demotion!"
"You know of my name already? I see." The battlemage's words echoed into the enchantress' mind. Or so he thought but something felt...odd. As if the words were bounced right back at him.

He tilted his head. Either the witch did not "hear" him or he wasn't getting through to her in the first place. Oh dear, this was already starting to get even more unnecessarily complicated...

Zion suddenly raised his hands in front of him, palms outwards and shaking them in a "no-don't" motion at Eiru.
"Don't poke the hornet's nest just as I had calmed it down! And you cannot come along with us -- the prince alone is already too much for my liking." He tried again fruitlessly, and he pointed repeatedly back at the guild.

"Take the swordmaiden and do aught else! Damn it all!" It was like shouting at a void that was yawning back at him.

"I don't recall your presence being requested on this mission."
The battlemage changed from pointing to the guild to extending a thick armoured arm that gestured towards Tyron, nodding his head in agreement. Atleast they agreed on something though for different reasons.

With Eiru zipping out of the hall with a terrified Kira in tow, the last of the chaos followed in their wake. Azalea's troubles with it. The clerk sighed as she rolled her head, neck stiff after such a hectic day, but it didn't escape her notice when a familiar face replaced the several who had just departed. She smiled to see the huntswoman return, watching them drop into a chair with little fuss.

"Sapphire," Azalea said, approaching the table. "You're back from your outing." It wasn't uncommon for them to disappear at times. Azalea certainly wished she could do the same on occasion. Despite never standing out much they had been a member for a long time, moving up the ranks with their observations and assessments of the field. For Azalea, it was enough that they were willing to stay out of trouble.

She stopped beside their table, watching as they fussed with the straps and buckles of their armour. "I hope everything is well."

Eiru didn't notice Kira was missing until Tyronn made quite an obvious statement, drawing her attention back towards him and the recovering Kira. Moving a hand to her chin in contemplation Eiru tilted her head and a perplexed expression quickly took over her face. "Kira? What are you doing laying in a bush! Come on now, this dead scout could seriously be in danger of dying and here you are lying around with your face in the dirt. Honestly..." Moving her hands back to her broom Eiru slowly levitated back into the air until she was a few feet from the ground. Returning her gaze to the prince Eiru couldn't help but notice his obviously hostile glares. How unfortunate, the child seemed to think such methods would even remotely affect the witch. Tilting her head to the side with a kind smile Eiru spoke once again, circling above Zion's head while keeping eye contact with the prince "Getting back to your statement, I suppose the very one who requested my presence on this mission was that of the clerk herself. Azalia, oh so politely asked me to oversee this mission while observing both yourself and Kira. I'm to assess you both. Kira for her initial field inspection and you... well not everyone goes forward in ranking you know..."

Coming to an abrupt stop Eiru broke her gaze and moved a hand to her chest, closed both eyes and began to sniffle as if teary-eyed "Poor Azalea... Not only but a few minutes after I had returned did she inform me you, a proud noble, destined for greatness. Son of the proud Guard Family. Was on the verge of dropping to copper rank once again. Her heart ached! Through tear-filled eyes, she begged me to partake in this quest and ensure a fair assessment was given! To ensure that if dropping to copper again was necessary it was I, a gold rank, that signed off on the final filed assessment involved! Oh how poorly such an act would reflect on your great house! On you yourself and of course... your mother."

Dropping the act abruptly Eiru returned to her cheerful self and again began circling the battlemage with a joyful smile "Anyway, the point is. You my dear Tyron are about to be demoted and your actions on this quest will be paramount in whether or not you demote or remain at the iron ranking. I will be conducting a field assessment that will be given to the guild master upon her return and she will use that report to assess your... well your reassessment... Yeh, that sounds about right. Yeh sure. Anyway! You've accepted this quest officially as has Zion, myself and Kira. Anyone who returns to the guildhall now will have failed the mission. And Tyron... That just wouldn't look the best on your record all things considered now would it!"

Returning to the ground, Eiru hopped back off her broom and took it into her left hand, approaching Zion from the front as she did so. The small witch didn't pay Tyron much head, he had his options and she had made very clear what they were. Sure she had exaggerated some points but Tyron didn't have to know! Once standing before Zion Eiru moved to her toes in an attempt to somewhat reach the tall figures eye level but after that failed she took a few steps back and hummed a soft tune to herself before addressing the spell caster "Ahhh! Zion of course! You're the one whos been trying to prod at my mind! Honestly, I thought you might have been having a stroke with all that sparatic gesturing but no now it totally makes sense!" Twirling her broom in hand Eiru offered the battle mage a gentle smile and then opened a path of communication herself. 'Hello! Zion! Can you hear me! Of course you can! Anyway look I know you're a bit of a loner and you prefer being alone and all that gloomy stuff but hey. Look at it this way, with me there the odds of the prince dying both rise and fall dramatically! Want to bump him off? No? Okay well we can ensure he stays alive better together anyway! Azalea knows you don't often party up and with that in mind having me who's always in a party is sure to be beneficial for you. Besides I won't actually be doing anything, I'm here just to observe. This mission is still all yours and so is the coin might I add!"

"Sapphire, you're back from your outing. I hope everything is well."

She snapped out of her thoughts. "I'm good. How's the guild?" she answered in her calm voice, shifting in her seat a bit. "Cities are too crowded for me. Been out for a long patrol." By patrol she meant walk, and a few days' worth at most. Her usually silent, and quiet, demeanor either did 2 things: put people at ease or unease. There was really no in between. Thankfully, Azalea was an easier person to talk to. Saph eased up a bit. "just the usual chaos, I see," she stated when she noticed one of the tables missing.

"I trust that my old friend is mocking me now for seeking your sight. I trust in humans and their capabilities and wish to see them grow like wildfires."

In fairness, he mocked everyone. Perhaps that was where she got it from. A disturbing thought.

"I've heard his call many times, he has yet to think of new lines."

She shrugged, but with nothing to say. He spoke rarely and she didn't have the eons of knowledge to judge.

"I seek only to give you a torch to illuminate the world, I will not impede you from your task with the truth seeker. The greedy being neglects to share that you can have more than one blessing."

Ymir stilled at the hand placed on her shoulder. Blessings certainly weren't exclusive, but nor were they as benign as most people thought. It doesn't mean there isn't a price.

"I am not one to force the hands of men, go and choose in the manner you see fit."

With that the celestial presence faded, and the room returned to its previous, simmering state. Ymir's eyes faded and colour returned in swaths of deep red and flickering orange. It had not gone... fantastically. She hadn't been exiled for sacrilege, but there was undeniable disappointment in Titus's composure. Had he hoped meeting Seraphina would inspire her the same way it did him? Perhaps she shouldn't have come across as so transient in her beliefs.

Their walk to the hall was more subdued than the rest of the trip had been. Titus seemed lost in his thoughts, and Ymir to a tumultuous exhaustion. The grand hall was as lustrous as the rest of the temple, the mixed smell of herbs and roast meat drawing worshippers from all across the temple. Ymir didn't mind their raucous cheer, though she wasn't particularly hungry. The room Titus led her two only seated two upon entering. Lucian, and one other, her smile widening as she noticed them enter.

"Well little Titus finally brought home a friend, ohh what's this perhaps a crush?"

Ymir's smile was slight, but admittedly overshadowed by a greater exhaustion. She'd lost count of the times they'd been accosted throughout the day with subtle grins and waggling brows. More than a few gave had given the cleric a good ribbing.

"Everyone here seems awfully invested in your affairs, Titus." Her voice was light as she took a seat at the table. The unknown woman was undoubtedly of fair blood, dressed in dark feathers and yet another, elegant robe. Ymir offered as much of a smile as she could around the soot stains and general disarray. "I'm Ymir, from the Waystone guild. It's a pleasure."

Azalea Gibraltar
Location: Guild Hall
"Cities are too crowded for me. Been out for a long patrol."

Sapphire liked to be alone, Azalea noticed. Diligently following the work they were given. It was a trait too often overlooked in favour of other, flashier personalities.

"Just the usual chaos, I see."

"It never ends," Azalea agreed. Hells, in all the commotion she'd forgotten they'd lost a table to one of the new members. Her focus had been so taken up by the temporary addition of a skylight. "The guild's weathered worse, but the constant stream of repairs doesn't help the coffers." Especially not when the Kingdom came collecting levies. They'd barely scraped by on the last one.

"Are you planning to stick around, or has something on the board caught your eye?"

Leonidas HoodLeonidas Hood.jpg
Location: Guild Hall
Leonidas stepped through the doors of the guild into the main hall after wasting away most of his day by just strolling around the city. Snapping his fingers loudly as he entered to draw as much attention as he could. "Hey, hey, good to see everyone here survived yet another day like myself." He announced loudly, letting his eyes glide over the largely empty room. "The group of people seems small, within this here guild hall." Realizing that line of poetry was bad, even for his standards, he let the line fade out towards the end making it near inaudible.

Ignoring his own obvious stumble with his poetry he marched over to an empty table and pulled the chair back. He plopped himself down onto the chair and propped his feet up on the table, slightly leaning back, making the front two legs of the chair lose contact with the floor. "So how much damage has this poor building sustained today?" He asked to no one in particular, loud enough for most people present to hear.

Leonidas wasn't too bothered by if people would respond to his question, it was always a bit of a gamble to see if people would answer, ignore him, or loudly sigh and glare in his direction.

Sapphire Lanse

"The guild's weathered worse, but the constant stream of repairs don't help the coffers."

Saph nodded in understanding and reached for her coin purse, putting enough to cover the costs of a replacement table and some roof repairs, it seems. "Here, take this. I'll have enough to get through for now."

"Are you planning to stick around, or has something on the board caught your eye?"

"I'm pretty tired, so I'll stay around a bit. Unless someone needs me, of course. Otherwise I'm gonna relax."
