"You have the right idea in accompanying someone else another for your first mission. I'm sure you're aware of certain ranking systems already. Here we don't disallow lower ranks to accompany higher level adventurers on their quests, though I would advise against being too ambitious out the gates."
She was certainly aware of it now. Perfect, one less thing to ask about later. That would mean that Tyron was lower than silver rank then? What rank was Kira? How high up does it go?... Never mind, that raised more questions than it answered. She really needed to sit down and properly research this stuff next time she had a chance. Relying on Alfyn wasn't an option anymore and she needed to learn how to do things herself anyhow. Her wandering thoughts were once again interrupted, though this time by a question.
"And why would an inheritor of the Voland family be in a place like this?"
Makes sense, the Guild would want to know why she wanted to join the guild in the first place, before accepting her.
"I felt as though I needed to experience life outside of Aestir on my own two feet. Joining a renowned guild such as Waystone, was the best way to accomplish that goal."
Kira failed to mention the fact that it was at her father's request. She certainly didn't want her father's doting nature to be known around the guild, as that wouldn't be good for her or the family name. Gods forbid he put something embarrassing on the application letter.
Up until this point, she was looking Tyron directly in the eyes when speaking, though now her eyes began wandering to the other two members of the guild. The scribes thorns seemed to be back to the natural length so that was.... probably a good sign. Tensions seemed to have fallen a bit at the least. Something seemed off though... The masked figure seemed to panic for a second before the scribe responded with an apologetic look. Strange.... I dont recall them saying anything.
"Very well. I think I'll pay this western front a visit on separate matters then. No point saving someone weak enough to get caught in the first place."
Kira's eyebrow seemed to twitch in anger at that statement. She glared daggers at Tyron before speaking.
"So wh-"
Though her words were cut short as her hand reflexively darted to her sword hilt.
"Good luck to you, missus Voland. If you could, try not to stick too much with the red brat. You may catch something worse than the plague."
The words rang in her head, but she knew not where they came from. Telepathy?
She quickly scanned the room searching for a threat of some kind, but everything seemed calm. Just a few patrons in the guild hall along with some staff members. The hole in the ceiling continued to blow in a cool breeze. The only thing different was the masked figure making his way out the door, quest letter in hand. She hesitantly removed her hand from the sword before turning back to the other two guild members.
"I'm sorry about that... I must still be tired from the journey. Might I still take you up on that lodging offer Miss... I'm sorry, but I still don't believe I've caught your name?
