What kind of character are you thinking about?

Honestly? It depends on what we don't have a lot of. I used to only play a specific cast of 2, maybe 3 OCs but this time round I'm willing to do whatever, male, female, criminal, cowboy - whatever's lacking in the roster.

Hey man, thanks for the tip. Yeah I checked the roster and it looks like we've only got one bandit and no(?) Khodai. I'm down for playing an alien, but I'm not sure I'd get a fair bit of RP through the bandit route without, y'know, being gunned down instantly.... though it could work if my character is captured by the colony to learn more about the khodai? I'm not sure who'd be down for that story. It'd require a fair bit of one-to-one RP, unless you stick a shock collar on him and a guard at all times. On top of that I'd probably also need a lot more khodai lore, unless I get to make some myself, in which case I'll go nuts. I love world building.

I'd post my art here and draw some of the cast too, but between all the essay writing I'm doing for my exams and the art project I've currently got on ATM (fixing up a whole lotta art for a WoW RP guild) I am 90% sure carpal tunnel will bite me in the ass if I even tried.

hmmmm, I dont think people gun down bandits on site in the town so youd probably be good so long as you didnt make trouble.

Isn't the primary purpose of a bandit to cause trouble, though? Why else would a khodai bandit/raider approach the colony if not to screw someone over in some way or another?

ya make a good point, I was just thinkin like as long as they keep their bandit identity secret theyd be good in the more regulated colonies
but there are places like Rock Bottom where criminals, bandits and the general scum of Mars congregate and hang out

Hmmm...on the flip side, I've also really made myself hype for some sweet, sweet captive RP. Not in the full on abused-slave mode, but more of a...disgruntled citizen obligated to stay within the colony if he'd like to keep his limbs. Seriously - if there's any backing from the rest of the crew for this idea, I'd love to jump into it. I'd probably make some sort of tribal huntsman/tracker who they'd use to find that Finch guy.

Currently on our roster, we have 2 outlaws, only one of whom is explicitly referred to as a bandit, and 0 Khodai. In regards to the Khodai lore, the basics are there, which will allow for some major world-building. Hit me up if you wanna brainstorm.

I'm planning on making a Khodai myself, and from what I've gathered in the Interest Group, two newcomers may also create Khodai characters. If they do, we'll have ourselves a nice little group of space barbarians. And I'm totally down for player-based world-building; that's what makes this project so fun.

That actually sounds like a good idea! I don't think we have any tracker-type characters in-game yet, so have at it! Of course, you can create whatever kind of character you'd like to make.

Heck, I even know a guy who'd make a good militiaman if it comes to it, who could work as my character's parole officer. But, if those potential khodai characters show up in the near future, I'd also be fine with joining their team. Or maybe they find out about one of their own stuck in the colony? That'd also be interesting.

Yeah, I guess all we can do is wait and see. But I have to say, I love all your character ideas, no matter how brief. So any one of them will be welcome amongst the ranks.
Also Snackofthefuture you're really good at drawing! I used to be good, but I fell out of practice. Whenever you've got the time, I'd love a sketch of Levi at the bar reading his Bible. Here's a better idea of what he looks like; just add beard.
