Fantasy The Four Elements [CLOSED]

She raised to the surface of the water, hearing Haku call her name. Little did she know, he was standing there with his eyes shut, his cheeks a tinge of pink. She knew she should be angry, but instead she just started to laugh. Wading so only her head was visible, she splashed water at him. "Go away, perv!" she yelled after him. @Shiro kurogane

haku dropped his hand and open his eyes. he glared at felix as she laughed. "im many things, but a perv. is not one of those things." he said turning around to walk back the the small clearing where they had slept. @Felicis

Felix giggled behind her hand hand as he walked away, trying not to make him angrier than he already was. She stepped out of the lake and put on her clothes. "Aye Haku! I was just kidding!" she called after him as she ran back to the clearing. She hadn't had a chance to look at his face from the water, but now that she looked closely, it was clear it had been hurt. Cupping his cheek in her hand, she asked, "What's wrong?" @Shiro kurogane

Breath continued to wander aimlessly, quickly loosing the belief he would ever encounter the stranger from last night. With a simple, short, sigh he peers at the newly discovered surroundings; believing himself lost as even the tavern was out of earshot by this point.

The exhaustion and uncomfortable sleeping location were beginning to take their toll on him by this point, shortly finding himself placed on the ground with a short grunt. "Why did I even come out here? Not sure why I even became so obsessed with finding a stranger anyway... and she's probably long gone by now." All he could do was support himself near on one of the near by tree trunks, finally opening his book from his arms "Guess I'll read until my energy come back--" A wind had suddenly picked up, blowing over a few of the pages; but fading quickly. "That's weird. There hasn't been any winds at all today, and no breezes either." The only guess he could think of was someone was controlling it. Though last time that happened to be true, he remembers seeing the burnt husk left over from the air user. "Is someone near? Maybe I should run before any of the fire nation finds them and drags me in too. Or maybe I should try to find them, in case they haven't been caught yet and hopefully know the way." He was hard pressed from his decisions, placing a hand against his forehead as he contemplated. "It was only a tailwind. Maybe they left too..."

haku walked away as he heard felix giggle. he also heard the splashing of water behind him again. haku assumed felix had dived back into the water. reaching the clearing he turned to look at felix as she called behind him and cupped his cheek. haku had thought she was beautiful when he'd looked at her sleeping form the night before. now with her wide awake and close enough to be cupping his cheek. haku felt his heart stop as he looked at felix. "nothing, its fine." he said cupping her hand and moving it from his face as his heart decided to work again. -she's... so...- he cut off the thought. @Felicis

Just then, Felix heard someone speak nearby. "I'll be right back, okay?" she told Haku and left in the direction of the voice. It sounded so familiar, she couldn't help herself.

She saw the familiar face leaning against a tree trunk. "Hey, I know who you are! We met at the tavern!" she said, smiling.

Flicking through the pages, he had finally rediscovered the page he left off. Eager to begin looking further into it, he relaxes and leans back further; but quickly interrupted by nearby voice, and he didn't care who; just someone was enough in this lost place. Swiftly shutting the pages back over and holding the thick book defensively against his chest, he puts on a small smile as he sees a feminine figure coming his way, and none other than the person he came here chasing after. "Hey. I think I vaguely remember you, though I think I fell asleep soon after... sorry." He glances around quickly, but there didn't seem to be anyone else here; perhaps she was the one who caused the collection of winds? "So, what are you doing all the way out here?"

@Felicis

Felix didn't know how to answer that question. She was sure Haku would mind her revealing their plans to a random stranger. So she decided to be vague about it, and replied with, "I was just making my way to a nearby village. What about you?" She hoped he would leave it there and not ask too many questions. @Grimclaw

haku heard the voice as well. but being that he avoided people normally he sent a gentle breeze to follow felix. haku would feel the breeze being disrupted if the stranger touched felix. lifting himself into the air he looked around not for the stranger but for something else. he decided that if felix left with the stranger than he would let her go. if she came back.. well he didn't dislike that option. @Felicis @Grimclaw

Now it was his turn, a slight twitch of nervousness playing on his lips as he thought. I can't just say I was looking for her... that would extremely creepy, or worse suspicious. All I really wanted to do was apologies. Done that I suppose. Think.. think. He couldn't help but struggle a bit, he couldn't even force himself to lie; not even to a stranger. "I...uh... I got bored, so I decided to come out this way." His nervousness seemed to die down, and even giving a sigh of relief through his nose. He'd at least managed to mask it, and it wasn't lying that he got bored either. "I don't have much to do, mind if I join you?" Maybe she knows the way back. "I was a bit careless. I, uh, managed to get lost." He gives a short giggle, clearly showing his light hearted feelings on the matter.

"Sure!" she said, and then immediately regretted the words as they slipped out of her mouth. She wan't sure how Haku would react to this. But he had gotten a bit less unpredictable of late, so how bad could it really be? She held out her hand and said, "I'm Felix, by the way."

@Shiro kurogane @Grimclaw

He doesn't take her hand, pushing himself against the tree and back to his own feet with only a slight tremble of weakness in his legs. He gains a slight raised eyebrow, causing a slight moment of silence between them. Should I give my name? She gave me hers... but my name is too obvious. Can I trust her with it? He finally smiles, replying with a short "Glad to meet you, Felix. So how did you end up here, was it by traveling like myself?" Another vague answer... am I being too suspicious? What if she's from the Fire Kingdom, here to blend in and scout? Better to be safe than sorry I suppose. His spare hand straps itself over his chest, holding the book close with two arms now, and a slightly nervous tone in his voice "I'm not even sure where I was meant to head off to next."

He didn't give me his name. He's trying to hide his identity. There is no way he was just bored and decided to walk up here in the middle of the woods. He has a purpose. Its obvious he's from the Air kingdom, his clothing reveals it. But what is he here for? Her mind was buzzing with thoughts. She was going to wait before she trusted him completely. Making no comment about his name, she said, "There's a village a few kilometers from here. I could show you the way." If he's as innocent as he looks, he'll just leave. If he has a purpose, he'll stay.

@Grimclaw

haku felt a familiar feeling of someone watching him. looking around still in the air above the small clearing. his eyes narrowed in on another air bender flying towards him at high speeds. -ah, great. another novice air bender was coming to 'prove themselves' stronger than me- haku thought as he avoided the high speed collision. "what is it with you air novices? what is the air kingdom trying to train you guys just to kill me now?" he asked the novice coolly. haku had know the the boy in front of him to be a novice. this was because any disciplined bender would never charge directly at another bender. "why do you people always come for me? yeah i kill ed a lot of people in the air kingdom in my revenge. but still what could you who probably never knew of me before your training want with me?" haku knew the kid wouldn't talk. he was just trying to buy time so this novice would realize the power difference between them. if the kid was smart enough to back down and leave. haku would let him live. @Felicis @Grimclaw

His eyes wander around him, his ear perking, but returning to his smiling face after noticing nothing. A village? That was sudden, I haven't hear or seen anyone nearby. Maybe she's leading me to a trap? But... I'll die out here without any money, food or water. "Sure! It'll be nice for a new breath of fresh air. I'm use to traveling alone you see, I think I've forgotten how it was to travel with company." His arms tightened round his book even more so, his head running rampant of thoughts that could happen, even realizing he used a common saying from the Air kingdom. "Lead the way."

Bad idea was the first thing Felix could think of. What if this guy wanted to kill Haku? Haku would never forgive her, she felt a spark of fear inside her. But she didn't let it show on her face. Instead, she loaded an arrow into her bow, and pointed it at his face. "Here's the deal: I need your name. Your real one." She would easily catch him lying. She too, after all, had hid her name in the past.

@Grimclaw

The sweat immediately began to form along his forehead, the sudden shock of being held at arrow point out of the blue. All he could do was slightly stumble back, not like there was much room with the tree right behind him, and fall on the ground with a light thud on the earthy ground. "W-what? I-It's not important. Really! It's really not! D-don't shoot, please!" This wasn't happening. This couldn't be happening. A few moments ago, I thought I was being saved, lead to a town where I could eat. Now I'm on the verge of death, with an arrow Directly aimed for my face! The nervousness of his thoughts where as bright as day, his eyes shut, teeth chattering and shivering in fear. All that comes out of his mouth beyond that point is slight wimps to himself repeatedly saying "Don't shoot. Don't shoot. Don't shoot."

Felix took a deep breath. She had no intention to kill anybody. In a calm and composed voice, she said, "I'm not going to shoot. Just tell me the answer to everything I'm about to ask you: why are you here, what is your name, and how long have lived in the Air kingdom?"

the novice airbender looked at haku with pure unadulterated hate. "oh? it appears you hate me.. did i kill someone close to you?" haku said still regarding the boy calmly. the boy said nothing as he launched a blast of air at haku. without felix around haku felt his persona change to cruel. redirecting the insufficient air blast back at the boy. shooting forward after hitting the boy with his own attack. haku had the boy by his neck and was slowly crushing it. "you could have just left. i was in a rather pleasant mood today and yet you come along and ruin it."

He continued to shiver in fear, despite her calmed words; not even turning an eye to look at her. His eyes suddenly were wide in shock, a clear gulp as she mentions 'Air Kingdom' A-Air Kingdom? How would she know that? What did I do? Was she really that good to know just from what I said? The nervousness in his voice almost made it hard to understand, the stuttering fear crippling his words repeatedly "I-I-I honestly g-got lost. I-I wanted to a-apologies, for f-falling asleep when we w-were talking last night." His hugged himself tighter, the sweat dripping from him at this point, and his breathing extremely heavy. "M-my name is..." He seemed extremely hesitant. The final word tripping over itself no matter how many times he tried to say it, but finally coming out as a short whisper "Breath." She knows I'm from the Air Kingdom. How? If she knows my name it doesn't matter now. She could have guessed it even if I gave it to her. "H-how did... how did you know where I was from?"

Felix could sense something was wrong, but she knew Haku was strong enough to handle himself. Instead, she turned back to the boy and lowered her bow. She didn't want him dying of fright. "It was your clothing, but mostly just a hunch. I've been around Air benders for some time of late." She walked to the boy, and patted his shoulder. "Hey, look I'm not going to kill you. Just say your name a little louder for me?"

Breath immediately looked down over himself, she was right. It was fairly obvious from what he was wearing that it was a style popular from the Air Kingdom. He only soon realized he was drenched in sweat, slowly wiping his head with a very, very, shaky arm. He remained silent for a moment, his loud, large, breaths filling the silence and slowly placing himself back up to a sitting position as the bow turned away from him. For now. "I-It's...uh." Another quick gulp filled his throat before he almost tried blurting it out, only to have it arise as a slightly loud and extremely nervous collection. "B-B-B-B-Breath." Maybe she won't kill me. Can I take that chance? She pulled an arrow at me out of no-where! I should have spent my money on clothes. Not tavern stays. Dam it. Dam it. Dam it. I almost got killed. I die yet, not without getting my goal. A deep sigh calms his nervous slight, but the look on his face betraying the calm nature of his words, clearly still in shock. "W-Which Kingdom are you from?"

after mercilessly and brutally crushing the novice airbender's neck. haku looked around making sure no other's were around. he wasn't doing this for himself. he was doing it incase they had learned that a girl was with him. feeling nothing he decided it was clear for now. landing back onto the ground haku sat in a tree to wait and see if felix would return or leave with the stranger. his personality reverted from cruel to neutral.

"Please don't get scared when I say this - I am from the Fire kingdom." She was vey concerned - the boy was drenched in sweat, and she didn't want to be responsible for his death. His face looked as if it had seen a ghost. Before he could reply, she said, "I swear I will not kill you. In fact, it was nice of you to come looking for me to apologise," she said, laughing warmheartedly.
