Alaster turned into his reaper form and stepped between Veronica and serpent


"OK so it's not a kraken or a leviathan but this doesn't change the fact that I told you so"

Veronica tied the bikini back on and her wings extended out she whimpered " Shut up, Alaster "

 

[Alaster Von Grim]

Alaster spread his wings as the sea serpent wrapped itself around the ship pinning one of Alaster's wings under its body

Veronica tensed and she watched the serpent not knowing what to do

 

[Alaster Von Grim]

Alaster swung his scythe at the serpents body only to have it bounce off it's thick scaly hide.


"Veronica look away"


He shouted and placed his scythes blade against his wing

" No! Don't! " Veronica said and she pushed his scythe away but she slipped and closed her eyes as her arm was cut by the blade

 

[Alaster Von Grim]

"You idiot I can't protect you if my wing is pinned"


He said as he grabbed her wrist and pulled her arm close to him and added


"You cut yourself"

Veronica winced and looked at the cut she whined " Alaster... " she said as she was beginning to fade " I don't know what to do " the wound glowed and Veronica closed her eyes tightly

Alaster kissed veronica's wound and she stopped fading he pulled am as some of her blood was on his lips


"I read about that ability I'm my grimoir it's called the kiss of death, it basically nullifies the effect of my scythe"

Veronica hugged Alaster tightly " Thank you " she said and pulled away wiping her face she smiled then went over to the serpent and said " How far under it your wing? " She lifted up the serpent slightly

The serpent wrapped itself tighter around the ship causing it to started to crack and break apart. Alaster shouted as his wing was crushed

Veronica growled and she pulled up hard on the serpent she used one hand to slide Alaster wing out from under the serpent but it wouldn't budge

"Veronica you need to leave, now"


Alaster shouted as he winced from the pain in his wing

Veronica shook her head and growled she tried pushing the serpent off and said " Like I'm going to leave you! "

"I'm not giving you a choice, leave"


Alaster shouted as the serpent started to drag the ship under water

Veronica snapped " No! " she stared to glow, she grabbed Alaster scythe, not really knowing how to use it she ran over to the servants head knowing a weak point that everyone had she swung the blade at the creatures eye

The serpent ignored veronica as it continued to destroy and drag the ship down to the depths

Veronica stabbed then serpent in the eyes with the blade over and over " Let go! " she yelled and glowed brightly, the blade of the scythe started to glow as well and she tried as she swing the scythe hard

The serpent wailed in pain and tensed up breaking the ship as well as Alaster's wing

Veronica growled and she twisted the blade " Get off! " she yelled

 

[Alaster Von Grim]

The serpent retreated. Alaster sat on the deck of the ship holding his broken wing as it sank, he couldn't fly away.

Veronica turned and ran over to Alaster she set his scythe down and gently she picked up his wing inspecting where it was broken she cringed seeing the wound she knew the ship was sinking and she couldn't save everyone, she didn't know how to fly and the serpent was in the water... She whimpered and tears came to her eyes

"Don't cry, I don't like it when you're sad"


Alaster said as he cluched his broken wing


"Listen to me, you need to fly away"


He looked up at Veronica with a pained expression on his face

Veronica shook her head " I'm not leaving you here " she said and then tried to pick him up, she flapped her wings hard glowing brightly

"Grr fine"


Alaster stood up and wrapped his arm around veronica then painfully folded his broken wing behind her


"Listen to me, flap your wing as hard as you can OK"
