Yulani took his hand, shaking gently before letting go. She hadn't expected him to adhere to formalities and was somewhat grateful that he was at least polite. "A pleasure to meet you." She extended her hands to the wooded area, gasping dramatically. "And how do we feel about the daring journey into the enchanted forest, young Brice?"

[Tasteless]

Lily looks back at Yulani and smirks, "I know how i feel about it." She sticks out her tongue slightly in mock disgust, still walking yet a tab bit slower. She gently rubs against a bush and a bird screeches and takes flight from its hiding spot in the undergrowth. Lily shrieks and leaps into the air in fright, she grumbles with annoyance her cheeks pink in an embarrassed blush. "I hate this so far." She grunts, softly blowing a stand of blonde hair from her face. The bird happened to perch itself on a branch above the frustrated teen and began to mimic her shriek. To which Lily becomes more flustered and silently threatens her winged tormentor.


Axle looks back at the group and chuckles slightly at Lily being frightened by the bird, "Hurry up back there! Before the wolves eat you." Axle then looks to Nico and gives him a small wink before continuing forward with his sibling.


Saul and Abbey reach the top of the hill just to see Lily nearly scared to death by the bird. Saul chuckles and looks to Abbey with his mysterious deep eyes that held their usual gleam once more. "Definitely a keeper." He mocks quietly to the smaller blonde teen whom he has his arm slung around. Yet he wasn't leaning against her as much anymore, he more had his arm around her in a slight embrace. Yet he didn't notice such, as he was to busy watching Lily being mocked by the bird.

[Shadow]

Chase reached the top of the slope shortly after Brandon, who was looking a little stand-off-ish. They walked side-by-side silently. Chase jumped a little when Lily screamed. They both looked back and saw a bird mimicking the shriek. Chase felt bad for her, having been in many embarrassing situations like that before. To be fair, everyone was probably on edge given the things that had happened in the last few hours. Brandon picked up a stick and swung it back and forth as he walked, not really paying attention to what was going on. Chase grabbed his arm and pulled him to the side as he nearly ran into a tree. Brandon, wake up. What's wrong with you? Chase asked in concern. Brandon dropped the stick and continued walking. I'm not sure. Everything is just happening so fast and I'm confused about.....Nevermind. Brandon said, shoving his hands in his pockets. It's Lily, isn't it? I'm sorry if I was too harsh before. I just think things are a little stressful for everyone and I don't want you have another thing that could go wrong. Chase said, jogging a little to catch up. It's okay. Brandon said, shrugging a little.

Brice smiles and chuckles, beginning to head into the forest and turns his head to look at Lani. "I don't know about you, but I'm exited." Turning his head back to face the forest. "Maybe it will be like one of the adventures in one of my games." Digging into one of his pockets, he brings out his handheld gaming console and holds it for Lani to see. "Speaking of which." Smirking, he begins to play, looking up regularly enough to know what is in front of his as to not walk into anything.

Lani rolled her eyes in masked amusement, turning to glance back at the others before beginning the trek into the forest. Brice wasn't as bad as he seemed to want to be, just cautious and she saw no conflict with being cautious. She wondered what had happened to him to make him that way.

Still keeping his eyes on his game, save for the regular check to see what's in front of him, Brice calls out to Lani. "So. What exactly is your story? I'd like to know more about you."

It certainly hadn't been a question most chose to ask, in fact Lani knew that no one had at all acknowledged each other since they had arrived here besides a select few. She avoided a patch of poison ivy before walking alongside Brice, face scrunched up in thought. "My mother had an ability to empathize with others and hear what they were thinking, my father was one of the scientists involved in helping rid her of the ability but to no avail. They fell in love, had me, and we grew up in a crime-ridden area where drugs were sold and prostitutes were on every single street corner, my father lost his job and credentials when they found out about his research and had to get one working in some crummy office with little pay, my mother stayed home to take care of me and was the first one to notice I wasn't entirely normal, she helped control my powers and limit them so I wouldn't harm others and we just..survived the best we could, I like reading and stuff so I'm pretty good when it comes to school, it's just it gets to be overwhelming sometimes to be around people who can't control what they're feeling.." Yulani hesitated before looking towards Brice. "My favorite is pancakes and I like B-rated horror movies, what about you?"

Brice stops short with shock and puts his game away. He waits for Lani to catch up with him and walks beside her. "I used to live with my parents until my mother got involved in an accident and my father divorced her. She's a full blood and was able to basically create electricity and manipulate it from different sources. She helped me make these." He holds up his hands so Lani could get a better look at his gloves. "They help contain electricity when I collect from sources. They can also condense electricity so I don't use as much when I manipulate from sources. Since I'm a half blood I can only manipulate electricity, not create it. I'm not the best when it comes to academics, but I'm still not the worst. I love video games, cult classic movies, and I have a massive sweet tooth." He grins at the last statement and looks to Lani with the smile.

[Tasteless]

Lily glanced to Brice and Lana, and frowns slightly. Everyone else has such great powers.. Mine are so basic and... useless... She thinks of the day her mother and brother were killed by their father and she can feel her throat tighten and sting slightly. She was only able to protect herself... If only she had been able to protect them she wouldn't be basically orphaned.. She fidgets her hands with the end of her silky tank top gently, and sighs quietly. Continuing to listen to their conversation without interrupting.

Yulani inclined her head in apology concerning the status of his parents, she hadn't once imagined what it must feel like to not have a father or a mother around anymore. "I'm sorry about your parents, no one deserves that." Divorce had never been considered in her household, her parents had once told her that they had no time to even speak of the subject, she wasn't sure which was worse. Brice had amazing powers to say the least, she was impressed by the gloves he wore. "Glad we got to know each other, it seems like we could all use the comfort of a friend right now..I think that video games are pretty awesome, they're a bit of a release from the world we're living in now."

Brice's brow scrunches up at the mention of how Lani was sorry about his parents. "It's fine. I don't think it's anything compared to what you went through. I don't know how I would've dealt with a life with that." He realizes that his negativity wouldn't help with the situation and might make things worse for Lani. Deciding to try to help Lani feel better he holds out his game to her. "You wanna have a turn? It's an old game, but still a great classic." The screen shows two strange creatures on opposite corners of the screen. It seems as if they are in some sort of arena, duel it out. The colors and designs of the creatures are truly beautiful and creative.

Lani was once more surprised at Brice's random act of kindness, hesitantly she takes the game console in hand before smiling. She hadn't had a handheld console in what seemed to be a long time and even clutching it in her hands brought back all forms of nostalgia. "Um, thank you...this is a beautiful game.." Lani giggles at the appearance of the creatures, glancing at Brice before shaking her head in disbelief. "Is this Pokemon?"

Brice look of happiness suddenly turn into one of worry. "Oh, why? You don't like it?" He scrambles in his pocket looking for something. "Hold on. I have some other ones if you'd like."

Yulani shook her head quickly, eyes focused on the console as her fingers rapidly pressed the buttons. "No, I love Pokemon actually... Rapidash was always my favorite, the kids in my neighborhood who were lucky enough to get a game always played Pokemon, I don't hate it at all...it reminds me of home." She chuckled quietly as she somehow managed to snag the Piplup before holding the console back towards Brice, her features softening in gratitude. "Thanks, I haven't played that in forever and it helped more than you would know."

Brice chuckles and takes the console back. "My favorite has always been Gallade." He shows a green and white humanoid creature with what appears to be blades on its arms. "He's so strong and he's always loyal to his friends. He does everything in his power to protect them. He's like a knight." It's clear that Brice has a very strong admiration for the creature.

Yulani studies the look on Bruce's face, absentmindedly flicking a mosquito away. "He's like you then..just a bit more animalistic and colorful.." she studies the creature before nodding in approval. "That would definitely be you if you were a Pokemon."

With a surprised look, Brice blushes and looks back to his game screen showing the creature he admired. Not knowing what to say, he just stares at it with a sheepish grin.

Yulani clears her throat awkwardly before turning towards the girl named Lily. She hadn't meant to sound flirtatious however it appeared that she had probably embarrassed Brice which was the last thing she wished to do, she had been unable to speak with Lily for an extended period of time and had a certain curiosity about the powers she possessed. Making sure to refrain from blushing out of humility, Lani smiles at the girl whom is walking behind them.


"So, I hadn't been able to speak with you but now that I've gotten the chance, would you mind telling me of your powers? You don't have to, it's just I am curious."

[Shadow]

Brandon started getting bored the longer they walked. He heard some people having conversations, but he wasn't exactly in the talking mood. Unfortunately, Chase would be the only one that would be able to tell that. He formed a shadow around his hand and played with it, changing its shape randomly. Chase glanced down and saw what he was doing with the shadows. He elbowed Brandon's shoulder which earned him a glare. Why are you using your powers? I know we do it at home, but here? Brandon shrugged but let the shadows drift away anyway. Chase ran his hand through his hair with a sigh. I'm sorry. I just feel like the less they know about us, the better. Chase apologized, looking down. I wasn't bothered. Besides, they probably already know what we can do since we got it from our parents. Brandon said with a yawn. Chase nodded but didn't reply. It bothered him how much these people might know about them. Then again, they were running for their lives so it didn't really matter at the moment. He glanced back at the people walking behind them before he returned his gaze to the forest floor.
